It’s Really Happening
Dear Kerri,
I knew immediately that you were the editor I wanted for “SaD.” You totally “got” the book, your wit is infectious, and your knowledge of movie quotes (especially The Break-Up) sealed the deal. Thank you for taking a chance on a first-time writer. This has been such an adventure, and I hope that the adventure will continue.
I will never forget Labor Day 2009—the day you became my editor!
Always,
Cavanaugh

Suffice it to say: I am eternally grateful to you, and I pretty much worship the ground you walk on. THANK YOU. I hope I make you proud.

Thank You
To All My Beloved Pre-Readers:
Thank you for taking a good chunk of time out of your hectic schedules to pre-read “SaD.” As you can see, the majority of your comments have made my initial draft THAT much better. You did such a good job pre-reading that I will beg you to pre-read the next one (and the one after that, etc. and so forth, assuming arguendo that there will be more books).
Love,
Cavanaugh

Mums and Dad,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! You two are the greatest parents of all time. I’m still trying to figure out how I struck gold in this department. I love you so much, and I thank you for always letting me chase my dreams.
Your Daughter
P.S. Oh, and Dad—thanks for teaching me about sparkle.

Consider this book my apology. Timing really is everything in life and alas we didn’t have it. You are a truly special man, and you deserve only the best. I will always remember my “best first date.” I hope you live a long time with a smile on your face. I have no doubt that you will.

There is so much to say, but the time has passed for me to say it. Perhaps, we were better off as friends. Perhaps, we were better off as more. We’ll never know. The ending of this book was the hardest for me to write, because I wanted to give us a happy ending. I guess only time will tell if I did. Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, I hope you are happy. You taught me a lot.
Cavanaugh_Lee @To_All_The_Roses_Of_The_Law_Firm_World May you read this book and know that you have the lives of junior lawyers in your all-too-powerful hands. We are hungry for wisdom, but we do not want to be eaten alive. Be gentle with us.

Cavanaugh_Lee @All the readers who pick up a copy of “Save as Draft.” I hope you enjoy it. More than that though, I hope you can learn from my mistakes. All of us (yes, even the most cynical) really are in this to fall in love—to find “the One.” It’s certainly not easy, but a few helpful tips along the way make it a little easier. I hope I’ve provided some tips or, at the very least, a fun heartfelt read for a few moments out of your otherwise crazy high-tech life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Cavanaugh Lee was raised in San Francisco, and received her undergraduate degree from UCLA’s School of Theatre. After graduation, she worked steadily as a “wactress” for four years. True love (or so she thought) led her to the deep south of Mississippi, and when the relationship imploded she stuck around the South and received her law degree from UNC. By day, she is a prosecutor in Savannah, Georgia, and by night she is searching for true love and working on the sequel to Save as Draft.
