CELLAR ENTRY.

Original wooden swinging doors lead to the basement where kegs were delivered and removed to keep the beer flowing. The boarded up window still features the Terminus identity and flourish patterns.

  CELLAR.

There are still a few remaining kegs from the days of service, only seeing a sliver of light for part of the day for the last thirty years.

  BAR AREA.

Behind the bar, with the entry to the cellar on the floor to the left. At the centre end of the bar is a set of six latched fridges with wooden doors, connected to the main coolroom in the cellar. The original tiles on the surrounding wall look pretty incredible, as does the red pressed metal ceiling. The bar itself is covered in three decades’ worth of dust.

  BATHROOM.

The dust-covered and leaf-filled bath and handbasin of the guests’ bathroom. The thickness of the ivy vine suggests it was actually doing pretty well in here for a while.

  WALLPAPERED GUEST ROOM.

All of the guest rooms had one thing or another that set them apart from the next. This guest room featured retro wallpaper and an almost shag pile multicoloured carpet. The metal ceiling has begun to oxidise to the point that a pile of rust has appeared in the bottom right corner of the frame.

  GUEST ROOM.

One of the guest rooms of the hotel, still containing some of the original furniture including a bed. The partially boarded up window is draped with a mesh curtain.

  MAIN GUEST ROOM.

The main guest room of the hotel featured a fireplace in the corner of the room. You can see above it where the metal ceiling gas has corroded away. The original light fixtures of the solid brass remain as they were.

  GUEST ROOM HALLWAY.

The main hallway running past the upstairs guest rooms towards the guests’ bathroom area. Most of the carpet is littered with paint that has fallen from the wall and the ceiling.
