“What are you doing here Julius?” He tried to step in but I blocked him.
“I figured you wouldn’t meet me.” I knew it was about to be an issue when Adrian pulled in. He didn’t know what Julius looked like that I know of and hated him.
“Why is he here?” Adrian asked coming closer to the door with a gun pointed at Julius head. Maybe they did know one another.
“I didn’t invite him Adrian and why do you have a gun at his head?” Julius turned around and the smirk on his face made me uneasy. Did these two sleep together?
“Because this the nigga who attacked you with his friends at the hotel. What I’m tryna figure out is why you didn’t tell anyone? What? You still love this motherfucker?” The hood in Adrian was coming out and I’m sad to say my body was reacting. That shit was sexy as hell to me.
Waa! Waa! The baby woke up and started crying. Both guys turned around.
“Why do you have my nephew?” Julius asked. The baby was asleep on my shoulder the whole time but I guess he didn’t pay attention because he should’ve known.
“Your nephew?” I questioned and saw Adrian swallow hard. He looked like a deer caught in headlights for some reason.
“Yea. This is Lizzie’s son. Wait!” Julius said and I saw Adrian remove the gun off his forehead.
“Shut the fuck up Julius.”
“You two know each other besides what you did?” I questioned Adrian.
“Hell yea we do.” Julius started laughing, while Adrian appeared to be upset and I’m still lost.
“Let me talk to you inside Rodney.”
“Oh shit. He doesn’t know, does he?” Julius laughed again and reached for his nephew, but I held him tighter. If Kenji dropped him off it’s for a reason.
“Get the fuck outta here.” Adrian barked but Julius didn’t move.
“Nah. I want to see his face when he finds out my nephew, is your son.”
Kenji
I dropped Lizzie’s son off and made my way to the next destination. I called Nyana a few times and started to get a little nervous because even though security’s there, none of us knew who the foster father was.
I had Bran searching all types of data bases tryna find him but every photo we came across, Nyana said it wasn’t him. I couldn’t tell if she were lying or not. I do know she’s discussed wanting to kill him herself which would make me think she’s saying every photo isn’t him to keep it to herself.
I parked in front of Robin’s mother house and wasted no time kicking the door in. Her mom jumped up off the couch and started pleading and begging for her and Robin’s life.
I grabbed her by the hair and drug her from room to room looking for both of those bitches. Unfortunately, neither of them were home and from what she says, Lizzie has been gone for quite some time now. I knew she was lying because I had the bitch’s son. Word on the street is she loved him.
No one seemed to know who the father is and I really don’t care. I took him because once she finds out he’s missing, she’ll come outta hiding.
You’d think the death of her family would’ve but nah. I had people watching the street, the house and anywhere else I thought she’d be but nope. The bitch didn’t even attend the funeral which is crazy because her brother didn’t either. Wherever they’re hiding, it must be together. It’s all good. I’ll find them soon and when I do, both of them are outta here.
“Kenji please don’t do this.” Robin’s mom begged as I filled the tub up.
“I told you to have a talk with your daughter, but you didn’t and now look. You’re gonna die for her sins. Don’t worry tho, she’ll join you soon.” I smiled and gripped her hair.
“Please.”
“Too late to beg. You should’ve called me when the bitch was staying here. Everyone knew I was looking for her, which means you did too because your ass always in the hood.” I pushed her face in the water and kept it there until her body stopped moving completely. I stood, tilted her body over the tub and walked out. I wanted to make sure Robin knew it was me.
“Yo boss. Look at this.” I went in the room Reg was in and noticed a newspaper clipping from the grand opening. There was a photo of me and Nyana holding hands on the red carpet. There was a heart around my face and a bunch of thumbtacks on Nyana’s.
Another picture we were holding hands at the same event but this time there was a man in another photo standing behind us. There was an arrow pointing down at him and once I saw his name, I knew exactly who he was. I picked it up and stared at him. How the fuck did you know about my grand opening? I said to myself.
“So this is what you look like Mr. Simpson?” I snapped a photo and sent it to my boy Haven out in Jersey. We continued searching the room and nothing seemed weird. Just women shit. A few minutes later my phone rang.
“What up Haven?”
“Can you talk?” He asked and I walked out the house.
“What’s going on?” I looked at my phone that just beeped and saw a photo of Robin entering Jai’s center. I jumped in my car and rushed over there. I didn’t even care that the number was unknown. I have to make sure she ain’t tryna bring no shit to him.
“I called you because someone from the police department here said Kerron was tryna set you up.”
“What?”
“Evidently, he’s fucking Robin and she mentioned you opening his center with drug money.” He ran down all the things Robin told them. I was surprised the bitch mentioned me burning something in the backyard.
“Word?”
“Yup. Adjani is in the dark about it....” I cut him off.
“I’m at Jai’s center now and she’s here.”
“Why?” Haven questioned and I couldn’t answer.
“No clue.”
“You think they fucking?” He asked and I doubt it but its no telling what type of tricks this bitch had up her sleeve.
“I doubt it but to make sure, I’m going in.” I hung up, walked inside and you heard music playing and people talking.
“Jai, I never told Kenji about the first time and you didn’t either because he would’ve said something.” Never told me. I had all types of things going on in my head. I stayed quiet because I wanted to hear as much as I could.
“Robin, you know I would’ve told him but shit was hectic. This right here is crazy.” I had no idea what he meant until I stepped closer to the door and saw my ex fully naked in front of him.
“Jai. Come on. No one has to know.” This bitch started playing with herself.
“I’m trying not to put my hands on you Robin but you’re making it hard.” I could hear his voice rising.
“Now like I said...” Jai got up and just as he put his hands on her, I cleared my throat.
“Kenji!” He looked shocked. I took my gun out and checked for bullets.
“Somebody better tell me right now why my brother and ex are about to fuck.” I walked up on him and placed the gun on his temple. I love him to death and Robin and I will never be together again, but it’s the principle.
“It’s not what it looks like.” He said turning his face up at Robin and tossing her off his desk. She hit the floor hard as hell.
“I can’t tell.” I didn’t even get to say another word when I heard yelling.
“FREEZE!” I turned and saw the DEA, and the SWAT running towards me.
“Mr. Kenji Smith, you and under arrest for racketeering, money laundering, supplying this town with drugs and whatever else I’m gonna charge your ass with.” One of the DEA guys said in my ear. Why the fuck are they here? I wonder if the bitch really set me up like Haven said on the phone.
“Hold the fuck up.” Jai barked.
“Mr. Foster why is this woman naked in your office? Are you running a prostitution ring here?”
“HELL NO! Take those cuffs off my brother.” I looked at Jai and that’s when I realized maybe I jumped the gun on accusing him of sleeping with Robin. Here I put a gun to his head and he’s still trying to get them to take the cuffs o
ff me.
“If you don’t back up, I’ll arrest you too.”
“Do what you gotta but ain’t no way you charging him with bullshit.” One of the officers pushed Jai and all hell broke loose. They started fighting. It was total chaos in the office.
Two officers tried to pull Jai off the other cop because he was fucking him up. Meanwhile, Robin was putting her clothes on smiling.
“You had something to do with this?” I asked Robin right before they opened the car door to place me in it.
“I’m happy to say I did.” She had the nerve to grin harder.
“I came here to try and fuck Jai to play it off. I knew you’d come and so did they.” She pointed to the cops.
“Why would you try and fuck him?”
“I want you to hurt, the way I’m hurting.” She stood there watching the cops bring Jai out.
“You’re hurting. Fuck you bitch.” I barked.
“I had to be here when they took you down.” She spoke with pure venom in her voice. Little did she know, I’m gonna get the last laugh.
“You better run bitch.”
“No need because you’re never getting out. Kerron gave me so much shit to place in your yard, you’ll never see the outside of a jail again.” I nodded.
“Oh. I’ll let Mr. Simpson know he can pursue Nyana now with no interruptions from you. Did you know he’s obsessed with her? Bye babe.” She blew me a kiss and walked off. My hands were behind my back and I didn’t care.
All I saw was red, broke loose and head butted the shit outta her. The bitch hit the ground hard as hell. I started stomping her in the face and anywhere else my foot would connect.
“Help me with him.” I heard the officer yell as he tried to pull me away.
“He’s too big. Fuck this.” He let me go and I got her again in the face.
“THAT’S ENOUGH!” I heard and stopped moving.
“You’re gonna get in my car and calm the fuck down. Do I make myself clear?” When did he get here? I nodded and followed him to ride.
“Take the cuffs off of them, pack up and get the fuck outta here. The show is over.” He spoke in a firm tone and they all dispersed quick as hell.
“Good job guys.” He told them and apologized for Jai, who they were letting out the car.
“What am I doing with her?” The DEA person asked. I was confused as hell. Were they really on my side?
“Nothing. Kenji will deal with her when the time is right. Make sure she’s not fed, showered or has a place to use the bathroom. Since he’ll be with me, she can suffer for a while.” I sat in the car and rubbed my hands now that the cuffs were off. My notification went off and it was a message from Ny.
My lifeline: I think I’m going to jail. Please come get me.
What the fuck?
Kerron
“Why didn’t you leave the bitch alone like I told you to?” My father barked as he paced the living room floor. I had to move back home because the news plastered my face all over and everywhere I went, it seemed as if the people were pointing, staring and talking shit. It could’ve been my own insecurity, but the story was fresh so I’m sure it’s not.
“Pops, I told you she wasn’t going to the police. The guy she’s with made her.” He punched me so hard in the face, I stumbled back and fell on my mother who was on the couch. He yoked me up by the shirt and placed me on my own feet.
“Stop blaming everyone for your fuck ups.”
“Pops.”
“I saw the photos Kerron. What the fuck were you thinking doing that shit to her?” I gave him a look because he used to beat, and cheat on my mother.
“I’m not happy about the way I disrespected and treated your mother but I’ve never done anything remotely close to what you did.
“Honey, it can’t be that bad.” My mom spoke. My father walked off and returned with a folder.
“This is what your precious son did to her.” I tried to snatch the photos but he stopped me.
“Nah son. Let her see the horrific things you put Sade through.” My mom’s face was turned up and I saw her wipe a tear.
“Kerron please tell me this is a mistake.” She turned the photo to me showing both of Sade’s eyes swollen shut and her body full of whelps and bruises.
“I think they’re photoshopped.” I shrugged.
“Photoshopped? So the video footage is too?” I sucked my teeth.
“Video?” My mom questioned.
“Evidently, she’s been recording the beatings and I’m sad to say, it’s nothing like I’ve ever seen. The rage I witnessed on his face as he’s doing it, is nothing I’d ever want any woman to endure. Son.” He walked over to me.
“You need help.”
“I don’t need help. Fuck that bitch. She’ll get the money and move on with her life like that other one.” I walked to the door.
“What’s sad is we’ll never get to meet our grandson because of you and you can care less. Where did we go wrong with you?”
“Kerron your father tells me you’re mixed up with this guy Sade is dealing with.” I glanced at my dad.
“The chief mentioned you doing research on this guy per his request. You didn’t find anything and were suspended right after. Why are you asking around about this man? Do you have any idea who he’s affiliated with? You put us all in danger now.”
“Pops, Kenji and I went to high school together and...”
“And he ain’t the same nigga. He’s put word out that you’re to be brought to him dead or alive. If he can’t find you, guess who he’s coming after?”
“He would’ve done it already. I’m not worried about...”
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! Is all we heard. Glass was shattered from the windows breaking and I saw a smoke bomb come in.
“Kerron.” I heard my mom yelling.
BOOM! The door was kicked in. I took off down the basement and went out the side door. There were big bushes alongside the house so no one could see me. I crawled in the neighbor’s yard and hid under their porch. I peeked through the small fence to keep rodents out and noticed at least six black SUV’s and niggas everywhere. Guns were still going off and I’m sad to say, I don’t think my parents are gonna make it.
After watching these men tear my parents’ house apart and leave, I stayed thinking the cops would show up. Another hour passed and still no cops. Hell, people were being nosy and some kids were posting and discussing what happened. People really didn’t give a fuck about what they put up on social media.
I finally got the courage to leave from under the porch and as much as I wanted to check on my parents, I couldn’t. The person responsible for this is gonna feel my wrath and no one is going to stop me from doing what I should’ve a long time ago.
I hopped in my neighbor’s car, grabbed the keys they left on the side of the door and sped off. Old people were always too trusting. They were outta town anyway, so the car won’t be reported stolen anytime soon.
I dipped in and outta traffic at a decent speed; careful not to get pulled over. When I arrived at the place, I assumed Sade to be, which is at work, her car wasn’t there. I drove by her sister Nyana’s house and no one was there. I remembered her other sister Tashi lived close by. No one was there either.
Sure enough when I rode down the street by the soul food restaurant she loved coming to, her and some woman were coming out the place smiling. Sade’s stomach was huge and it only infuriated me even more. How dare her sleep with someone else and automatically become pregnant? She was well aware I wanted her to have my kids.
I watched them get in the car and pull off. I saw the other unidentifiable truck following close behind. This motherfucker must have security on her. It doesn’t matter because I’m gonna get my revenge.
I drove directly behind the truck since he was very close to them. Once the light turned red, I jumped out, ran up on the side of the truck and let off in the driver’s side. All the cars started pulling off. I ran back to my vehicle and began a chase with Sa
de. I could tell how nervous her and a few other drivers were because they were driving erratically.
A few streets up and at the next light, I ran into the side as she turned the corner. The car was pinned between the light pole and a few bystanders ran over to assist. I made sure my gun had more bullets in it, hopped out and walked up on the car.
“Are they ok?” I asked pretending to be concerned.
“I’m not sure. The driver is pregnant.” Two men were trying to pry the door open. I paid them no mind and walked around the car.
“Hello Sade.” She too was bleeding and semi-conscious. Her eyes got as big as they could when I pointed the gun in the car.
“I told you not to leave me but you didn’t listen. If I can’t have you, no one will.” Her hand went up telling me to stop but I paid it no mind.
BOOM! BOOM!
Same day…
Rodney
“Come again.” I said to Julius who had his eyes on Adrian.
“I said...” He spoke in a matter of fact tone.
BAM! Adrian knocked Julius out with one hit. I mean he put his ass straight to sleep.
“Adrian what the hell is going on?” He removed the baby out my arms and the child quieted down immediately, which only proves he’s very familiar with him. I was about to bend down and check on Julius but he stopped me.
“I wish the fuck you would touch him.” His voice was calm; yet scary at the same time.
“Let’s go.” He snatched my hand and damn near dragged me inside. I closed the door and followed him in the living room.
“Why didn’t you tell me he’s the nigga who attacked you?” He placed the little boy in the car seat.
“The same way you failed to mention you had a got damn baby.” I tried to storm up the steps, but he grabbed my wrists and asked me to hear what he had to say. Not really having a choice because he refused to let go, I took a seat on the couch.
“I didn’t cheat on you Rodney. Well, I sorta did.” Adrian had his head in his hands.
“Did you or didn’t you because this baby damn sure has been around since we’ve been together from the looks of it.” He laid back on the couch and blew his breath.
