A Dopeman & His Shawty 3 Page 6

by Tina J

  “I understand Ny. It’s just...”

“It’s just you still have feelings for Julius and didn’t want to see him murdered in front of you. Then, there’s Adrian who you’re in love with who’d be the one to do it. I get it.” He rested his head on the couch.

“Then why can’t Adrian?” I felt his pain but then again, it’s his fault.

“You can’t expect a man to be ok with you saving your ex.” He turned to me.

“You see it the way you do but the truth is, you saved him. In Adrian’s eyes and mine. It’s exactly what you did.” He sucked his teeth.

“How many times has Julius called you since?”

“He can’t because I blocked his number and he’s blocked from Facebook.”

  “Facebook?” I questioned.

“Yes. He was calling me from there.”

“Oh he was stalking, stalking.” We both busted out laughing.

“As my mother says, we keep everyone strung out.” I waved my hand at him.

“In your case, you definitely strung my brother out. What you got going on down there?” He pointed to my legs.

“It’s only for your brother to know.” I stood.

  “He get you pregnant yet?”

“Probably did last night.” I moved in the kitchen to grab something to drink. Of course I would love to have Kenji’s kids but with the crazy bitch out there telling everyone she’s pregnant with one already, is bothering me. I know he doesn’t want her but it doesn’t stop the hurt I’m feeling over it.

“He’s gonna get her.” He rubbed my shoulders.

“I’m ok.” I gulped the water.

“Hello everyone.” We turned around after hearing his mother coming in. I have to make sure Kenji changes the locks because it’s no way this woman should have access to my house.

“Ugh, you weren’t invited.” I told her and folded my arms against my chest.

  “This is my...”

“No. This is me and your sons house. Therefore; I have say so on who enters. Matter of fact, you can hand over the key.” I put my hand out and she gave me a dirty look.

  “I most certainly will not.”

“Not a problem. The locks will be changed.” I moved passed her.

“Listen here missy.” I stopped and turned around to see Rodney shaking his head.

“I came by attempting to be cordial for my son. Now I haven’t disrespected you in any way yet.”

“Yet?” I started making my way back to her.

“I said what I said. Now, it’s obvious my son isn’t going to listen to anything I have to say regarding being with you, so we may as well learn to get along.” It looked like it hurt for her to say it.

“Lucky for you, I’m not the type of woman who feels the needs to befriend family members in order to stay with a man.” She started laughing.

“Honey, you have it confused. I don’t want to be your friend.”

  “Then what’s your purpose?”

“Clearly you didn’t use Q-tips in your ears because you would’ve heard me say we should be cordial.”

“You know what?” Rodney stepped in between us. I was over this bitch and he must’ve known it. Mother or not, she needed her ass beat.

“What? You upset? You wanna fight, argue or what? Tell me so we can get it over and move on.” She kicked her shoes off and started to remove her earrings.

“I don’t like my son not speaking to me or using foul language at me over a woman he claims is going to be his child’s mother and wife.” My mouth dropped.

“Excuse me.” Kenji has always told me we were never breaking up but I didn’t know he told his mother.

“I don’t have all day so what’s it going to be?” Rodney looked at me and shrugged his shoulders.

  “Kenji told you that?”

“Yes he did, after he cursed me out for continuously trying you. Then, my husband seems to think you’re a good match and my daughter feels the same.” I felt my eyes becoming glassy.

“What are you about to cry for?”

“Because Kenji is the only man I want and honestly, I wasn’t going to stick around if you and I didn’t get along.”

  “WHAT?” Rodney shouted.

“I’ve seen so many families break up over spouses and I refused to cause that in your family.” I took a seat on the couch.

“Rodney, you of all people know how much I need him in my life. Then, the whole rape thing happened and he was right there for me. We lost a child and I don’t know what I’d do without him.” I have no idea why I said as much as I did but it made me break. I haven’t really cried over the rape like I needed to. Yes, I shed tears but I was literally breaking down right now and I don’t know why.

“Hold the hell up.” His mother said and me and Rodney stared at her. Did she just come outta character?

“Did you said someone raped you? Who the fuck did it?” She stood in front of me tapping her foot.

“Ma, since when do you curse?”

“Never underestimate a bougie bitch. We know how to cover up well. Back to you. Who did it?” I wasn’t sure if I should even answer.

“My foster father did it at my grandmothers’ repast.”

  “You’re kidding me?”

“He grabbed me in a closet, pulled a gun out and... and... he...”

“It’s ok Nyana. You don’t have to say anymore.” His mom sat down and hugged me. I was shocked as hell.

“Why the fuck is my girl crying now? Ma, I swear...” Kenji barked as he busted in.

“I didn’t do it son.” I felt Kenji lift me up and take me upstairs. He laid me gently on the bed and got in next to me.

  “You good?”

“I’m ok.” I put my head on his chest.

“What happened?” I explained how his mom stopped by to call a truce and I broke down.

“Kenji can I speak to her for a minute?” She asked pushing the door open.

“Let me find out you don’t knock. What if I was about to dick her down to feel better?” Kenji stayed pissing her off over me.

“I’ll make sure to have your father speak with you. That mouth is outta control.” He sucked his teeth.

  “It’s ok babe.”

“You sure because I can stay in here?”

“Babe, I’d never kick you out.” He smiled and stayed next to me.

“Bye Kenji. What I need to speak with her about is women stuff.” He looked down at me and I nodded to let him know it’s ok.

“I’ll be right back.” He left the room but kept the door open.

“When I was a teenager my so-called best friend raped me.” I sat up and stared at her.

“Yup. It’s crazy because we had been friends since kindergarten. We did everything growing up and even went to prom together.”

“Really?” I was shocked she revealed this to me but I’m listening.

“Really. What I didn’t know is he expected sex in return.”

“Why?” I asked. If he’s her best friend, then it should’ve never been a thought.

“It’s what all boys do after prom.”

“True.” I told her because when I attended prom with my then boyfriend, it’s exactly what we did.

“Long story short, after prom we went to a room with everyone else. I thought nothing of it because we were best friends. Little did I know, he had plans.” She stared off for a second.

“What happened?” Now I was intrigued. To know a woman as stuck up as her encountered something so traumatic is crazy.

“I told him I’d meet him and the others down after I showered. He said ok and I heard the door shut. Sadly, it was the door to the bathroom. I opened the glass door and noticed him stripping. I questioned his actions and outta nowhere he jumped in with me. I tried to push him out but my strength was no match for his. He held me there and forced himself inside, not only raping me but taking my virginity?” My mouth hit the floor.

“I fought with every inch of energy I could but it was no use.
I screamed but no one heard and sadly he took me out the shower, tied me to the bed and had his way with me a few times.” Her eyes were tearing up.

  “Oh my God.”

“He raped me until he got tired. When he finished, my body was so weak, I couldn’t move. Do you know he threatened to kill me if I told anyone and left? Housekeeping found me after checkout.” She wiped the tears falling.

“My parents rushed to the hospital and asked over and over who did it. I couldn’t tell them because they’d kill Marcus and he was my best friend no matter what he did.”

  “Wow.”

“I know. Anyway, I ended up pregnant and terminated the child immediately. There’s no way I’d be able to raise a child out of rape. My parents moved us away and kept me in counseling. I was grown but still their baby.” I gave her a faint smile.

“In college, I met Kenji’s father and fell deeply in love with him. I told him about the rape when we ran into the asshole one night and he tried to talk to me. Saying we were still best friends.”

  “Oh, he’s crazy.” I said.

“Very. My husband wanted to murder him, but he wasn’t able to locate him afterwards and to this very day, he’s still missing.” I just shook my head.

“Well Kenji captured my rapist last week. He’s the one who ran into the back of my car.” I told her.

“Good for you. I’m sure you’ll never have to worry about him again.” She smiled.

“I’m happy too. Mr. Simpson violated ever since I was fourteen.”

  “Who?” Her face became serious.

“Mr. Simpson. He was my foster father and the man who raped me.”

“Do you have a picture of him?”

“No but I do. Why what’s up?” Kenji walked back in the room and showed her something on the phone. We knew something wasn’t right when it fell out her hand.

“There’s no way.” She stood and started pacing.

  “What’s going on?”

“Where is that man?” Her voice was starting to tremble.

“About to meet his fate. I was waiting for Nyana to do it because of what he did to her.”

  “Take me there.”

“HELL NO! Pops would kill me if I let you in the spot.”

“Are you ok Mrs. Smith?” She rushed down the steps and put her shoes on.

“No. Remember the story I told you about my best friend?” She asked.

  “Yea.”

“That’s my best friend. Well ex best friend.”

“Nooo.” I exaggerated my word because I couldn’t believe it. How ironic is it for it to be the same man who violated me?

“Why haven’t you been able to find him? Your husband has been searching years for him.”

“Simpson is not his real last name. He must’ve changed it, which is why we he was undetectable.”

“I couldn’t find him in the system either. Nyana didn’t have any photos and the only reason I knew what he looked like is because Lizzie and Robin had a picture at the house of him at the hotel and put his name at the top. They were working together.” She froze. It’s like she saw a ghost.

“Oh my God. If he was at your grand opening it means he found me too.” His mom looked terrified.

“Ma, what the fuck is going on?” She was shaking. Him and Rodney walked her to the couch.

“It’s a long story. Baby, I need your father. Please call him.” She begged Rodney who looked worried himself. This is crazy.

  Kenji

“Why you shaking like that?” I asked my mother who appeared to be terrified of something and that’s never happened.

“What happened upstairs Ny? Why she look like this?” My mother stared at my girl with pleading eyes. It’s like she didn’t want me or Rodney to know anything.

“I don’t know dad. She’s very upset and shaking.” I looked up to see my brother on the phone.

“Nyana what happened?” I asked again

“Umm. Let your mom tell you. It’s her story.” Now she was nervous.

“Dad is on the way.” Nyana sat next to my mother and them hugging had me at a loss for words. These two hated one another and now they about to sing Kumbaya.

“Yo!” I answered my phone for Haven and walked out.

“Lizzie has been shacking up with her brother at a friends place. I sent you the address.”

“Good looking. What about Kerron?” I asked him to find them because I just didn’t have the energy right now with everything going on. Sade was almost killed, Jai is running his center and stressed that Kerron is gonna kill her. My girl ran into her rapist again and now my mother bugging the fuck out. I feel like once everyone is out the way, it’ll be peaceful again

“That nigga ghost. Wherever he is, he’s hiding good.”

“Shit, I need his ass more than the rest. I can’t have my brother worried about his fiancé being paranoid for the rest of her life.”

“You know what? I’m gonna hop a flight out there in a week or so. I can work better if I’m there.”

  “You don’t have to.”

“You’d do it for me so cut the shit.” I blew my breath and watched as my father pulled in the gate. I hated for anyone to help me get shit done when I can do it myself.

“You got a lot going on Kenji. No one is thinking you can’t handle it.” I ran my hand over my head. How did hell did he know what I was thinking?

“You can be mad all you want. I’ll be there soon. Peace.” He hung up and I just laughed.

“How’s your mother?” My father asked making his way inside.

“No idea.” I closed the door behind me and followed him in the living room. My mom jumped up in my fathers arms when she saw him. I knew the love they had for one another and even with her being stuck up, my father would do anything to keep her happy.

“Tell me what’s wrong.” He sat on the couch and had her on his lap. Nyana came over to me and did the same.

“Remember you went searching for Marcus all those years back?” Why was my father searching for another man and why didn’t he tell me? I could’ve possibly found him myself.

“Yea. I still can’t find that motherfucker.” My dad said wiping her eyes.

“Kenji found him.” He looked at me and I put my hands up. I didn’t know who she was talking about.

  “Found who?” Rodney asked.

“The man who raped me.” None of us said a word. My father mentioned it to us years ago but asked that we never bring it up to my mother. It brought back a lotta memories and she wanted to keep it hidden.

“The reason you weren’t able to locate him is because he changed his name.”

“How do you know?” My mother peeked around my father and looked at Nyana, who nodded.

“He’s the man who raped Nyana. Her stepfather, is Marcus.”

“SAY WHAT?” Me, my father and Rodney shouted at the same time. I stared at my girl.

  “You sure?”

“I’ll never forget his face. It’s definitely him.” He hugged my mother and told me he wanted to go.

“I’m coming.” My mother hopped off the couch

“I don’t want you too.” He said.

“I need to. I have to see him die with my own eyes.”

“Me too.” Nyana stood and ran upstairs, only to return with her sneakers.

“Nyana, you’re not...” Rodney put his hand on my arm.

“They both need this closure Kenji.”

“Please baby.” She begged with sad eyes so I had to give in. I walked her over to the kitchen to talk.

“You sucking my dick real good tonight.” I whispered in her ear.

“But I can’t swallow because you’re getting me pregnant.” I smiled.

“I can’t wait til we get back.” I kissed her and locked up. I don’t know what she did but her ass had me stuck like a motherfucker.

  ***********************

“WAKE UP!” I threw scalding hot water on Mr. Simpson and Robin. I kept her alive after the shit at the cent
er just to make her suffer and she has. Bran and Reg been burning her with cigarettes, eating in front of her and not offering her any. They also stuck her and Mr. Simpson’s feet in cement and would push them back and forth just to see their body move kinda like the matrix. I mean they were doing stupid shit.

“AHHHH!” He screamed out and Robin opened her eyes.

“Kenji please let me go. I’ll never bother you again.” She barely got out. I hadn’t fed her or allowed her to wash so of course between her and this punk, the place smelled disgusting.

See, the day at the center when the DEA brought me out, my father showed up and shut it all down. Him and the chief had been working together to get Kerron and were using stupid ass Robin in the process. She didn’t know because she was stuck on fucking Kerron and never paid attention to her surroundings. Therefore; it wasn’t hard to catch her.

Unfortunately, Kerron was a tad bit smarter and even though she so called set me up, he was never seen with her.

Once he was suspended it’s like he went ghost on everybody. Come to find out he had been staying with his folks. I sent people there to get him and sadly he wasn’t there or if he was; escaped somehow. He found Sade and thankfully he wasn’t able to carry out his mission all the way because she had a bulletproof vest on. Jai would probably be worse if Sade didn’t make it.

“What are you doing here?” Mr. Simpson or should I say this Marcus guy asked my mother.

“I’m here because I wanted to see you take your last breath. That way, I know you’ll never bother me again.” Nyana said and stood in front of him. When he looked her up and down and licked his lips, I lost it. I started fucking him up.

“That’s enough son.” My father pulled me off. He had blood dripping down his face but he was still awake.

“You were my best friend. How could you do those things to me?” My mom asked and you could tell she was upset over it.

“I’ve always loved you. Had you just given it to me we never would’ve had a fallen out. You’d be my wife and not his.”
