Marcus nodded. “But I’m going to need some practice. And some help.”
His hand swept up and down my back, and when they moved to my sides they dipped under my top. I gasped at the feel of his fingers splaying over my ribs and belly. Over the cups of my bra.
“Serena, I need you.” He was hoarse with the simple exertion of holding himself back.
“Here? Now? I’m at work.”
He lifted his head long enough to glance around. “Yeah, I guess it’s a little awkward. Do-over later?”
“Help yourself.”

I hope you enjoyed Marcus and Serena’s second chance to get it right! This story was much more emotional for me to write. I think everyone has good and bad (and intense) memories of high school relationships. Do-overs are hard to come by in real life.
