by Richardson, James

“We are gathered here this day to honor a great man. Who gave his life freely for those not of this world. For many years Draco fought to stave off the Doncer, and the horrors they would bring to this world and the human world. To my own folly, I have lost so much time with the man I love. Even in his parting I know he would wish us to morn yes, yet not to dwell on the matter when there is still much to do.” Cominus watched as the salty tears streaked down her golden skin.

“How much have we all lost with out you brother,” Cominus said to himself brushing away the tears.

“I know many of you never met my husband, and those of you never trusted his motives. Yet here we stand thanks to his actions and here we will stay. No more will we bow to the forces of darkness. If any of you learn from his feats then take heart for you to can become what this world needs. For there are people in the human world that will need our help in the coming ages. Whether you wish to see the light within their hearts or not. I say let their actions determine those brave enough to fight for those not of their own world!”

“For if you wish to hear it, or not Draco was a human that came into this world. Full of hate and mistrust of his race for one man’s foolishness. Draco did not let our hatred for his kind deter him from the path he must walk. Now I pray to the gods that they would welcome him into their loving arms. Praise him for his selflessness in the choice of what is easy and what is right!” Her hand never left the hilt of his sword, in hopes that it would give her strength through her speech. Even if he could not do it in person, the magic that he had stored in its pommel gave her strength.
