Taming Emilio (Buried Secrets Book 2)

by Brina Brady

Emilio washed his hands and cracked a dozen eggs. Kaden put the bacon on a rack into the oven and checked the eggs. He handed a mini mixer to Emilio. “Beat them until they’re blended.”

When they finished cooking, Emilio called the others inside. They took their filled plates back outside, and Emilio sat beside Kaden.

“When are you two leaving for the cabins?” Kaden asked.

“Well, Rafe told us to leave next week when the others leave,” Mateo said. “Do you guys need any help sooner?”

“No. We’re actually going to use our alone time to get to know each other.” Kaden placed his hand on Emilio’s thigh under the table.

When they were finished eating, Anouska said, “Why don’t you guys get on the road. I’ll take care of the dishes.”

“Thanks. I appreciate that,” Kaden said.

“Be good,” Rafe said to Emilio.

“Rafe, I’m a man now. You don’t need to treat me like I’m a teenager.”

“Eighteen sounds like a teenager to me,” Mateo said.

Rafe and Kaden looked at each other and laughed.

“I guess you’re all grown up now. Have fun. Both of you,” Rafe said.

As soon as they entered the Jeep, Kaden said, “Did you like Anouska?”

“She’s pretty, I guess. Mateo used to go out with gangster girls, but she’s nice.”

“I thought you didn’t like Russians.”

“My family had wars with them over the distribution areas of drugs. They fight like metal soldiers.”

“Did you know Valerik lived in Russia for many years?” Kaden asked.

“He didn’t mention that to me.”

“We should have fucked before this long drive,” Kaden said, changing the subject.

“I tried to get you to let me give you a blow job. I can do it while you’re driving.”

“That’s not going to happen. But there’s no reason we can’t stop after lunch off the road away from people.”

“I used to do it all the time,” Emilio said.

“How many times did you do that?” Kaden asked.

“I shouldn’t have said anything about that. I’m sorry.”

“Don’t ever feel bad about telling me the truth. Sometimes, the truth hurts, but lies are much worse, and I won’t tolerate that.”

“You sound like Rafe. He always wants to do the right thing. No matter what. I’m used to living without rules. I guess I’ll have to get used to them, right?”

“So how many times? Five? Ten? Or more?” Kaden asked.

“More, but I can’t give you a specific number. I just can’t remember all of them.”

“When did you begin dating?” Kaden didn’t know if Emilio was bluffing or not.

“Do you mean fucking or dating?”

  “Dating.”

  “I never dated anyone.”

“I don’t get it, then. You fucked around without being on a date?”

“Pretty much. Once they fucked me, they sent me home. There never was a date. They were all hookups.”

“So you never had a boyfriend?”

“Not really. I have a roommate and we fooled around sometimes. We used to go to the movies together. So, I guess you can call it a date.”

“I guess you call it dating your roommate.”

“Yes. He doesn’t know I’m here, and Rafe said I can’t call him. He’s going to be worried about me.”

“No. You calling him isn’t a good idea. But I could call him for you.”

  “Would you do that?”

  “Yes. Maybe tonight.”

  ***

After hours of driving, they finally reached Fawnskin. They stopped at a grocery store and picked up some supplies for the week. Then they hiked up the dirt road, overgrown with weeds, until they came to the five similar-looking cabins. First, they carried the groceries to the front porch of their designated cabin. Next they brought their suitcases.

“It’s so quiet here,” Emilio said.

“Yes, that’s now but next week when the others show up, it won’t be.”

Kaden unlocked the door and stepped inside with Emilio behind him. The recently cleaned interior was bright and airy. The living room had a fireplace across from the brown leather couch and two matching recliners, but no TV. Stacks of books and magazines decorated the coffee table, but all the walls were empty.

  CHAPTER NINE

  Emilio

Emilio loved the cozy cabin and never wanted to leave it. The bed was a full-sized one, so they slept much closer to each other. He hoped Kaden wouldn’t get tired of him, but so far, he seemed interested. They talked all day about everything. Their relationship seemed solid, but there was no talk of bonding, and Emilio feared bringing it up. He didn’t want to jinx their relationship, so he suffered in silence concerning their future together.

“Wake up, Sleepyhead.” Kaden kissed him. ‘We’re going on a hike.”

“And good morning to you,” Emilio said with a smile.

Emilio shoved the covers off and sat up. Kaden had already showered without him. Was he tired of him already? The smell of coffee traveled to the bedroom.

“What are you doing up so early?” Emilio asked as he went to the bathroom.

“I had some research to do.” Kaden stood in the doorway.

“On what?” Immediately, Emilio figured Kaden was researching him on the Internet. What if he saw some of his naked pictures on Twitter? How would he explain it?

  “Something for Rafe.”

Emilio followed Kaden to the kitchen, poured himself a cup of coffee, and sat at the table with him. He seemed a million miles away from Emilio this morning. There was no sign of breakfast.

“I’m glad we got that shopping done. I can’t believe you’re in charge of doing everyone’s grocery shopping, and we had to put it all away in the other cabins,” Emilio said.

“That’s my job. I place the food in the same cabinets and use the same configuration in all the refrigerators. These cabins are identical so if you went into another one, you’d know where everything is. When the guys are here, we cook and eat outside on picnic tables.

“I’m really happy here with you. I didn’t think I’d like to be away from people, but you’re always making everything we do fun. Even shopping was exciting with you. I liked when you split the list and we had a race to see who could finish first.”

“That was fun. I like having you close to me. I don’t think you realize it, but you’re very entertaining.”

“Last night you said you had something to discuss with me. I’m a little nervous about it.”

“Yes. I noticed you had cane marks on your ass and legs. Who caned you?”

“I thought they were gone.” Emilio didn’t want to discuss them at all.

“No, Emilio. They’re not gone. When you took a shower, it washed away the makeup you used to hide them. I waited for you to discuss them with me, hoping you’d bring it up first. For us to work as a team in your protection, you need to tell me everything. I know Rafe wouldn’t do that to you.”

“No. Rafe has never hit me even when I knew he wanted to. It was someone from my past.”

“Of course it’s someone from your past. I’m the only one in your present right now, and it wasn’t me.”

  “Mr. Brooks caned me.”

  “Who is he?”

“He’s an older man who works in a San Diego bank.”

“What’s his first name and the name of the bank?”

“His full name is Benjamin Martin Brooks, and he works for San Diego International Savings and Loan.”

“Did you have a relationship with him?”

“Not a personal one. He was my client.”

“So you worked in the bank?” Kaden asked.

“No. I’m not smart enough to work in a bank. I was his escort.” Emilio thought using the word escort sounded less cheap than a whore.

“You mean like a rent boy?” Kaden raised his voice from shock rather than ange
r.

“I guess so.” Emilio closed his eyes, fearing Kaden’s reaction.

It took all Emilio’s energy to keep from visibly panicking. His mind raced with thoughts of Kaden calling Rafe and returning him. If that happened, he’d have to start all over again. James wouldn’t take him and Valerik probably wouldn’t either. It would hurt, no doubt about it. He had grown comfortable with Kaden. To be honest, he was in love with him. He’d be devastated if Kaden didn’t want him anymore.

  “Were you his sub?”

“I don’t think I was his sub. He never fucked me.”

“Then why the hell did he beat you? You’d better tell me the truth.”

“He called me a faggot, and said I needed to suffer for being perverted.”

“That fucking old bastard! Next time we’re in San Diego, I’m going to have a little visit with Mr. Brooks and beat the shit out of him. No one touches my Emilio like that.”

“So you’re not angry at me?” Emilio couldn’t believe Kaden wanted to punish the man who had hurt him instead. He’d been sure Kaden would reject him.

“No. I knew you had a wild past before me. But for an eighteen-year-old, you were a very busy, naughty boy. Rafe didn’t mention your last job either, so I’m guessing he doesn’t know.” Kaden raised his blond eyebrows, wanting an answer.

“He knows.” Emilio nodded. “I’ll go back to Rafe if you don’t want me anymore. I understand why you wouldn’t want me. I’m damaged goods. Rafe should have mentioned it.”

“Emilio Escobar! What do I have to do to make you understand I want you? Selling your ass to men isn’t a respectable profession, but I’m sure you knew that. Why did you do that instead of working somewhere else?”

  “I don’t have any skills.”

“Did you graduate from high school?”

“No.” Again, Emilio felt like a loser, a big loser.

“No? What do you mean no? Why not?” Kaden stroked his trimmed blond beard with confusion and disbelief.

“I was a senior at St. Mary’s High School. It’s the same one that Rafe and Mateo had attended. I was afraid my uncle would wait for me when school was over. So I quit two months ago.”

“That’s too bad. You only had two more months. Don’t worry about that now. You’ll be able to return to school when we get situated. I’ll make sure that happens. Education is important and never to be neglected.”

“I was really upset about it.”

“So you lied to me when we met. You told me that Marco Cervantes hurt you because he thought you stole money. That’s not the case, is it?”

“No, I didn’t lie. Marco was my boss, and I ran away from my client, Mr. Brooks. I kept his money without completing my job because he was going to kill me with his cane.”

“Never lie to me because I’ll punish you. Lying puts both of us at risk.”

“I won’t lie. You know so much about me, but I hardly know anything about you.”

“Whatever you want to know, just ask me,” Kaden said.

“Did you go to college?” Emilio still couldn’t believe Kaden wasn’t upset with him. Although it was a close call when he’d thought Emilio had lied. He could see how he would think that since he wasn’t forthcoming with all the information about his last threat from Mr. Brooks.

“Yes. I graduated with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice. I planned to teach or work for the FBI, but I enlisted in the Marines instead. Then Rafe opened the Gay Protection Society.”

  “That’s what Rafe studied.”

“I know. We were both going to work for the FBI. Then we talked about us being gay. We didn’t want to be kicked out of the FBI, so Rafe decided we should do some good in the world since we both had money to make a difference for gay guys who needed protection.”

“I’m glad you guys founded the Gay Protection Society.”

“I’m happy here and so is Rafe. I hope you will be too.”

“I am. When are we going for a hike?”

“Pick up the backpack and let’s go.”

  “What’s in there?” Emilio asked.

“Food and drinks. I have one too.”

Emilio trailed behind Kaden, quickly hiking on a path through the woods. Even though he was wearing boots, he checked where he stepped. He didn’t want to step on anything squishy. The slight nip in the air caused the fine dark hairs on his arms and legs to stand amid goose bumps. He rubbed them in an effort to ease the chill. Emilio was relieved Kaden hadn’t forgotten about eating breakfast.

“Hey, let’s settle here. We can eat our breakfast by the lake. It’s a beautiful view.” Kaden put his backpack on the grass and sat on the ground.

Emilio dropped his backpack as well and sat beside Kaden. “No one is around here.”

  “And?”

“Well, you could do something to me.” Emilio needed Kaden to connect sexually with him to make sure he still wanted him. Words were cheap and actions told the truth.

“You want me to fuck you outside?”

  “Why not?”

Kaden played with a fistful of his hair, kissed Emilio’s lips, and thrust his tongue into his mouth. Nothing could have prepared Emilio for the intensity of the mind-blowing kiss. Kisses from hookups had never been this passionate.

“Stand and face the tree.” Kaden pointed to an old one with a wide trunk.

Emilio marched over to the upright-positioned tree. “What are you going to do?”

“What do you think?” Kaden blew Emilio a kiss.

“I don’t know.” Emilio licked his lips. He knew Kaden desired to use his ass, and Emilio was willing to please him. It didn’t hurt that Emilio always felt good afterward. He’d learned enough not to take credit for anything around an alpha guy. Kaden wanted to take charge, but Emilio knew he had something to do with some of Kaden’s actions.

Kaden walked behind him and unzipped Emilio’s cameo shorts, shoving them and his briefs down to his ankles. He stroked Emilio’s cock, which had softened during their hike, until it hardened again. The cool breeze brushed against his backside and private parts.

“Bend slightly but lean your hands on the tree and stick your ass out,” Kaden ordered.

Emilio stepped out of his clothes and followed Kaden’s command.

“Spread your legs wider so I can fuck you better,” Kaden ordered.

Emilio moved his legs further apart. Finally, Kaden was going to fuck him, making Emilio feel acceptable and secure in his place at Kaden’s side. He had worried this morning when Kaden didn’t initiate sex, nor did he wake him up. He did his own thing without Emilio. This week they’d had sex every morning, afternoon, and night. Everything would be okay with them because Emilio wasn’t allowing his mind to tell him otherwise.

Kaden slipped a condom on and lubed himself. He spread some lube on the entrance of Emilio’s hole. This was what Emilio wanted from Kaden. Emilio knew Kaden had a detached side, and when it came out, it freaked him. Kaden licked the back of Emilio’s neck; his tickling sent chills through Emilio’s body. Kaden’s licking tongue traveled down to his ass, playing with Emilio’s balls, licking and sucking. He returned to his entrance and dipped his finger inside. He added two more digits and finger fucked him, shoving his fingers in and out. Emilio moaned with desire. When Kaden grazed his special spot, Emilio arched his back needing and wanting more of Kaden.

Emilio’s cock stood at full mast, smacking his stomach. He wanted to scream “Fuck me,” but he’d wait for Kaden’s timing, not wanting to act so needy.

Kaden wrapped one arm around Emilio’s waist and shoved his stiff cock inside. The stretch burned, and his ass throbbed as Kaden slammed in and out and, once again, banged his special happy spot. Emilio’s cock was oozing precum. He needed more friction on his cock. He grabbed his cock, slowly stroking while Kaden’s cock thrust in and out of him.

“Damn, Emilio! You feel so good,” Kaden panted.

Only faint whimpers left Emilio’s lips. As he neared blasting his cum, Kaden blew his
into the condom. The constant pounding on his prostate ignited Emilio to shoot spurt after spurt when he finally let himself go.

“Damn it. That was so good.”

“See what you’re doing to me. Now, I’m fucking outside.” Kaden kissed Emilio behind his ear and used a napkin from the backpack to wipe Emilio clean. Emilio dressed, then collapsed on the grass, panting, still feeling the aftershocks of his orgasm. Kaden threw away his used condom, wiped himself clean, and zipped up his jeans.

“Please sit by me,” Emilio said.

Kaden turned quiet, walked toward the lake, and stared out over the softly rippling water. These times made Emilio feel like Kaden was shutting him out. Emilio didn’t understand his silent moods. Kaden stood there a good five minutes, then returned to Emilio and sat beside him. Only God knew where Kaden had traveled, but he’d returned.

“I feel really close to you. Sometimes, I feel like we’re one. I only had that feeling with one other person. It’s good to feel this way again,” Kaden said as he put his arm around Emilio’s shoulders.

“What are you going to do at the party while I bartend?”

  “Talk to the protectors. Why?”

“Are you going to play with the new boys like James does?” Emilio asked.

“Speaking of that, before we leave, we’re going to bond. I have something special planned for us.”

“That would make me so happy. I don’t want you to play with the new guys.” Emilio rested his head on Kaden’s shoulder.

  “That won’t happen this time.”

“What does that mean?” Emilio asked.

“We’re not going to the parties anymore unless you want to help Rafe out,” Kaden said.

“Only if you are with me.”

“We’ll see what Rafe has to say.”

  CHAPTER TEN

  Emilio

While Emilio finished cleaning up the kitchen, he smelled the wood burning in the fireplace and faintly heard a small rustling outside from the surrounding trees guarding the cabins. Over the week, they’d grown closer, never separated, working side by side. When Emilio entered the living room, Kaden appeared to be in deep thought. Emilio admired Kaden’s long blond hair and strong jawline covered in a trimmed beard. Quietly, Emilio grinned and sank beside Kaden on the couch.
