Flirting With The Law (Outlaw Brides Book 1) Page 10

by Vanessa Vale

Maddie’s head angled back and her eyes fell closed. I couldn’t help the groan, for she was hot and wet and all but squeezing my cock. There was no place else I wanted to be. Taking hold of her hips, I moved her as I wanted. I wasn’t gentle, my fingers most likely leaving marks. I didn’t care and the way Maddie cried out each time I plunged deep, neither did she. I was going to come. Yes, I’d been reduced to a randy teenager and spending within seconds, but this wasn’t just fucking, this was a release. We’d almost died and then I discovered my wife was a vigilante and the man who hired us was a vindictive fucker hellbent on revenge. I needed a release, but I needed it with Maddie more.

I needed her to feel as good as me, to know that this kind of pleasure would only come with her husbands, that we’d give it to her. Yet this time, it was about taking, too. I needed her, needed to know she was alive and whole and not the ruthless criminal she’d been depicted to be.

No, she was my wife and I was going to come, to fill her with my seed.

“Mine,” I growled, then kissed her. I didn’t stop pumping into her. “Come, Maddie. Let me feel you milk the seed from my balls.” My breathing was ragged and sweat dripped down my brow, even though we were in the shade.

Perhaps it was the command in my voice or that Maddie was just as desperate as I, but she came with a scream. When she rippled and tightened around me, I was done for. Gritting my teeth, I gave over to the pleasure that burst forth along with my seed. A shout rent the air as I came in long hot pulses.

“Maddie,” I murmured, stroking my hand over her damp cheek. She, too, was catching her breath, but Seth wouldn’t give her a chance to rest.

Falling back in the grass, I pulled her with me so I was on my back and she straddled my waist. She’d pulled all my energy out of me along with my seed and I didn’t want to crush her.

I widened my legs, opening her up and Seth moved between. His hands slid up the backs of her thighs, pushing the dress back up to her waist, then lifting her hips up in the air. Maddie cried out when she slipped from me, but Seth didn’t give her a second to think, for he’d had his cock out and ready, stroking himself as he watched us fuck.

It was his turn now. He slid into her with ease, my seed surely coating the way.

I looked up at Maddie’s face as Seth took her from behind. He wasn’t gentle either but I watched our wife closely, knew she liked it. Liked being taken by her men.

But Seth didn’t just fuck her. His hand came down on her upturned ass, spanking her.

“You put yourself in danger, wife. That will not be tolerated.”

He fucked and spanked her and while her eyes widened briefly in surprise at his actions, then fell closed and she bit her lip, stifling the pleasure and pain I was sure was mixing together.

“You pitted yourself against a vicious enemy. Alone.”

He was telling her everything I hadn’t. How the idea of her walking into a bank and demanding money scared me senseless. She could have been shot. She could have been caught, and there was nothing we could have done to save her.

With every hard thrust of his cock, she was pushed forward. I could see she was close to coming again, the continued spanking only pushing her closer to the brink. Reaching down between us, I found her clit, hard and swollen. I brushed over it with my thumb as Seth continued his two part assault on her. Fucking and spanking her into submission. But my pressing on her clit and willing her body to come told her, without any words, that while we’d be rough and we’d even punish her for any reckless behavior, we would take care of her.

  We weren’t leaving her.

I got to watch Maddie as she came again, saw the flush of pink creep over her cheeks, her eyes open wide in astonishment at the intensity of what we were doing to her, the way her lips were parted and no sound escaped.

“Beautiful,” I murmured. “Ours, Maddie. You belong to us and we’re never giving you up.”

Seth spanked her one last time and came, gripping her hips and settling deep. She was filled with our seed, marked. Claimed.

Seth pulled out and Maddie all but fell on top of me. I wrapped my arms about her, stroking my hand up and down her back. Seth moved to collapse in the grass beside us, propping himself up on one elbow so he could watch as his hand slid over her bare and exposed ass.

She didn’t speak for some time, perhaps even having fallen asleep. I was just content to hold her, to let the insanity of our lives wait.

“What are you going to do with me?” she finally asked, her fingers curling in my shirt.

“We’re taking you home,” Seth said.

Her whole body stiffened like a board on top of me. She lifted her head, her hair all wild and tangled. Her eyes looked at me with fear. “You’re not turning me in?”

I stroked her cheek. “Hell, no. Didn’t you hear me when I said you were mine?”

“Didn’t you feel the spankings I rained down on your ass?” Seth added.

She glanced at Seth. “Well, yes.”

“Then you know we’re not giving you up. We believe you. We love you,” Seth admitted.

Her mouth fell open. “He’s right,” I replied.

“But…I mean…how can you love me when I’m everything you despise?” she asked, all of the passion gone from her voice, replaced with worry.

I stilled. “We don’t despise you.”

“You hunt criminals and bring them to justice. You don’t just abide by the law, you enforce it.”

“Yes, that’s true. But we bring criminals to justice.”

  “I rob banks!”

I sighed. There was a very fine difference between her and hardened criminals that hurt innocent people, but Maddie didn’t see that. She just saw breaking the law as wrong.

“No, you robbed Rollins,” Seth said. “Did you rob anyone else’s banks?”

  “No.”

“Did you rob him just because you were greedy and selfish?”

  “No.”

  “Did you hurt anyone?”

“I pulled a gun,” she admitted. “But it didn’t even have bullets in it.”

I couldn’t help but laugh at that. “You’re incredible, you know that?”

She looked down at me, a little V forming in her brow. I lifted my thumb and smoothed it out. “You held up banks with a smile and a polite thank you when you were given the money. You had no bullets, only a pleasing demeanor and a beautiful face. I think you would have a suitor out of the last teller if he ever saw you again.”

“I just used what I had to get the outcome I desired,” she admitted.

Sam gave her ass a playful swat. “Yes, we are quite familiar with those charms.”

“You aren’t a criminal, Maddie. You took what was rightfully yours—and your neighbors’—back from Rollins. We’ll make this right. Together.”

“Then you’re not taking me to jail?”

Seth leaned forward and kissed her brow. “We did once and we got hitched. We don’t need to go again.”

“So no Mr. Rollins?” she asked.

“Hell, no,” I countered. “We’re going home. Our home. You said you wanted babies and we’re going to get going on making them. Rollins can wait a few weeks for an update, wonder and worry when he’s going to be robbed again.”

  CHAPTER THIRTEEN

  Maddie

  One month later

“No. You’re not going,” Landon said, his arms crossed. He leaned against the hotel room door, blocking my way. They were meeting with Mr. Rollins to confront him about his gross allegations and unethical business practices, but wouldn’t let me go.

Ever since I’d told them the truth, it had been like a honeymoon. With two husbands. They’d done exactly as they’d said, taken me to their ranch. Seth and Landon had pulled the poor driver from his deadly spot beneath the overturned stage, wrapped him in a blanket, and with the unhitched horses, took him to town for burial. We’d intentionally avoided Rollinsville since they didn’t need to investigate further, nor did they wish
anyone to recognize me.

We’d ridden east to their vast property, settled right on the line with the Wyoming Territory. There were no mountains—they were too far to the west—but it was a beautiful spot, nestled in a valley with a river winding through it. Lush cottonwood trees lined the bank and the grass was a blinding green, perfect for grazing cattle. Why they wanted to leave such a place to chase criminals, I couldn’t understand, but they’d vowed the last criminal they would chase was me. And once caught, they were never letting me go.

They’d spent the next few weeks proving that. I’d had no idea there were so many different ways to fuck. In bed, in the kitchen, the barn, along the river bank. I hadn’t seen my drawers since that first night in Helena. There was also something else I hadn’t seen in over a month, proving my men were vigilant in their promises to me. I’d wanted a baby and they’d given me one, that very first week, perhaps even that first night.

It was Landon who’d told me I was pregnant. I’d doubted him, for I felt no different, but his hands were on my breasts as I straddled him and rode his cock and he swore they were bigger. They had been tender and the nipples extra sensitive, but I never associated that with a baby. Later, when Seth had returned from the stable and Landon had told him, he’d dragged me upstairs to his room and studied my body for changes himself. Every inch of me.

It had been the vomiting the next morning that made me believe them, but also had made both men grin at me broadly. I’d wanted to punch them in the nose for their thrill at their virility.

I was not barren as I’d worried over. With the task complete, I expected them to taper back on their very eager attentions, but knowing I was carrying their child, they seemed to want me even more. They were insatiable and perhaps it was because I was pregnant, but I couldn’t get enough either. Even the plug Seth continued to use on me, forced me to hold deep inside for a few hours at a time so they would finally be able to take me together. Why they hadn’t done so before now, I wasn’t sure. I was ready. I wanted it. I wanted them.

I asked, but they said it wasn’t time yet. Then they did a fabulous job of distracting me and taking me some other incredible way. I didn’t understand why, but I knew, at some point in the not too distant future, it would happen, so I tried to be patient.

I’d learned with Orville that sometimes I needed to let something pass, let an argument go in his favor. I’d choose the times I argued. Like Seth and Landon fucking me together. They were ardent lovers. They weren’t going to hold off for much longer.

But Mr. Rollins? They wouldn’t let me confront him. They wanted me nowhere near the man. I fought them on it. Again and again. To say that dinner had been contentious for the past week was an understatement. We shouted, we bickered, we argued. I was going with them to Helena. That at least we all agreed on. They weren’t leaving me alone on the ranch in my condition, although if I wasn’t pregnant I doubted they’d leave me behind then either. They were possessive and very protective men and the ranch was too far away if I needed them.

But they refused to have me go with them to the meeting with Rollins. I wanted to get the truth from him about what he’d done to my father’s ranch and the others nearby. The amount stolen from the banks. All of it. I wanted to hear him admit he’d been cruel and ruthless. I wanted him to admit he stole all that land.

“I am going. It was my family’s ranch he took and burned,” I said, my tone riled. I waved my hands as I spoke, paced the small room. “It was my father’s money he’d stolen. I only took it back. If you’re going to face him with these allegations, I want to be there. I’ve earned the right to do so.”

I’d said these same words over and over, but the meeting was in an hour and they were leaving me behind.

Seth stopped me as I paced past him, placing his hands on my shoulders. “It’s too dangerous. Rollins is an unstable man. We have no idea what he’ll do.”

“He can’t do anything,” I countered. “He’s the one who’s guilty.”

“Can’t do anything?” Seth’s usually pale eyes were dark and stormy. “You know firsthand what he’s capable of. It’s riling you up, even now and it’s not good for you or the baby.”

“Are you planning on using that for the next eight months?”

“Yes,” they both said at the same time.

I maneuvered around Seth and stood before Landon, tilted my chin back to look him in the eye. “I’m going.”

I was being petulant and stubborn, but if they were going, then so was I.

I felt the cool metal before I realized what it was. Looking down, I saw the handcuff about my right wrist, then glanced up at Seth.

“You’re not going,” he repeated. “Now be a good girl and go sit on the bed.”

My mouth fell open. “You’re going to handcuff me to the bed?”

  “I am.”

I tried to cross my arms, but Seth held the other end of the handcuffs. I tilted up my chin. “Not a chance.”

From behind, Landon sighed as he picked me up and carried me to the bed. He placed me on it as if I were made of porcelain, laying me flat on my back. He took hold of my chin, forced me to look him in the eyes as Seth lifted my arm and clicked shut the other end of the handcuff around the headboard.

“We want you safe. We want you here where we know where you are. We don’t want you anywhere near Rollins. Let your men take care of this for you.”

While I could see he was serious about this and wasn’t meaning to leave me out for other than being a liability to them, I was still hurt.

  “I hate you,” I murmured.

He grinned then. “Just think of how hot it’ll be when I fuck you when we get back.”

My nipples tightened at that, for he knew how much we enjoyed a quick and rough bout of lovemaking after arguing. I also liked it when they tied me up and took me. I liked it when Landon took control. But this was different.

“What if there’s a fire?” I tugged at the cuff, the metal rattling. It wasn’t hurting me, but it was snug and secure.

“Yell,” Landon said, then stepped back, putting his hat on. His gun belt was slung low on his hips and he pinned a small tin star onto his shirt.

“We’ll be back soon.” Seth leaned down, kissed me, then rose to his full height. “Don’t go anywhere.”

As soon as the door closed, I shimmied up to a sitting position, leaning sideways against the headboard. With my freehand, I played with the cuffs. The wooden slats were thick, the bed well made. It wasn’t coming apart without quite a bit of tugging and my wrist would be all cut up. Unless—

I reached up, pulled a pin from my hair, stuck it into the small keyhole on the lock about my wrist. Biting my lip, I wiggled and worked at it. I might rob banks, but I’d never picked a lock before.

  CHAPTER FOURTEEN

  Seth

“What do you mean you haven’t caught her?” Rollins paced his desk, but limped a little, then sat down.

We were back in his office, the drunkard from the previous month escorting us in. He seemed sober enough today, but based on his boss’s booming voice, he was no doubt fleeing his desk for the nearest saloon and a bottle of rotgut whiskey.

“The teller in town was so enamored by her, the only physical trait he remembered were her blue eyes.”

“What about the others?” He was sitting at his desk, chubby hands folded, but his face was once again a mottled red. I had to wonder if the problem with his foot was gout. The man reeked of excess and overconsumption. He didn’t seem to be in the poorhouse from having his banks emptied of funds.

“That teller did say that the thief only asked for a specific sum of money, even handed over a piece of paper to ensure he was accurate in his counting.”

  “Oh?” he replied.

Landon leaned against the wall, just as he had the last time we were here. “We’ve learned that just over two thousand dollars was taken in total.”

“You weren’t wiped out as you said,” I added.

  We k
new so much more about this man now. He’d seemed like a bastard the first time, but now? Now he was much worse. Knowing what he’d done to Maddie and her father had me wanting to pull out my gun and shoot him. But it wasn’t just our wife he’d hurt. Others, too. And that was only the swindling Maddie knew of.

“What else aren’t you telling us, Mr. Rollins?” While Landon’s voice was even, there was no missing the accusatory tone.

“I didn’t rob my banks. A woman I hired you to find did,” he countered.

“But we’ve been wondering. Why that amount? Why rob banks for a specific sum of money?”

“I have no idea, but she should be off the streets. Behind bars.”

“The Bible says a leopard can’t change his spots,” I began.

“I’m not a Bible thumper,” he admitted.

“My momma ensured I had a proper education. That saying’s from Jeremiah, I believe.”

“Your point?” he asked, his tone irritated.

“If you steal all the properties around Mecklen, I have to wonder if you’ve done it elsewhere.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he blustered, leaning back in his chair.

He did know. He might be good in business, but he was probably a horrible poker player.

“I do. I know exactly what they are talking about.”

Landon and I spun about at the sound of a woman’s voice behind us. A woman’s voice we knew all too well. We knew it when it was sharp and crisp like this, ready to verbally spar. We knew it when it was breathy and begging with need. We knew it when it was filled with sadness.

Fuck. There in the open doorway was Maddie, no handcuff on her wrist. How the hell did she get out of that?

Landon moved to stand before her, to block her from Rollins, but she stepped around him.

“I know exactly to what they are referring. They are speaking of the Thomas ranch you foreclosed on then burned to the ground. The Daley property, the Mitchells’. All of those ranches you offered to purchase, but when the owners refused, you changed their mortgage amounts at the bank. Each lost the property to the bank. To you.”
