   You’re welcome nephew, Happy Birthday.
I run a hand down my face and say “Fuck, my fucking Uncle is how it’s possible. Jesus. Is this why I’ve been so obsessed with chocolate?”
He nods. “It’s possible. Cravings are normal with any pregnancy. However, since you’re not an omega and you don’t magically form a womb upon conception it’s possible that your organs will shift as the baby matures. It will be painful and we’ll need to monitor you closely as things progress. I’ll schedule you an appointment for next month. We’ll do an ultrasound before you go just to be sure and to figure out a precise due date.”
“Okay, but tell no one. I don’t want the whole pack to know and have my mate find out before I can tell him.”
By the time I leave the office I’m in total shock. My uncle has officially lost his mind. I know he’s an all-powerful god and all but to make it so that I can carry a child is just insane. I pick up some candy bars on the way home. I eat one and put the rest on the counter when I walk into the house. I lay on the couch and take a quick nap. When I wake up I look in the kitchen and find Declan standing there leaning into the open fridge with one of my candy bars hanging out of his mouth. I don’t know what comes over me but I go apeshit.
I whip out my gun and say “Put the candy bar down if you want to live.”
He drops the candy bar and holds up his hands ‘Whoa love, what are you doing?”
I wave the gun around “I’m about to go gangster on your ass! That’s my fucking candy bar!”
He looks at me with tears in his eyes, “I’m sorry, you usually don’t mind sharing them with me.”
I stare at him wide-eyed. “I…shit…I…sorry.” I take a deep breath to calm down and say “You can have as many as you want. Sorry for snapping.” Wow, talk about a hormone spike. That was insane.
He walks over and pulls me into a hug. “No, I’m sorry. I should have asked before eating your candy bars. So, are you ready for the meeting?”
I glare at him. “I’m not going.”
He sighs. “Come on babe, we have to. It’s the only way. Let’s just get through this and then it’ll be just us. We can do whatever you want okay?”
I snarl and push past him to head to the bedroom. If we had stairs I’d stomp up them. “It’s not the only way! My uncle gave me a birthday present. Congratulations, I’m eating for two!” I plop down onto the bed and wait with a smile on my face. Faking a tantrum. Priceless.
Three…two…one...he comes barreling into the bedroom and says “You’re kidding right?”
I shake my head. “Nope, doc tested me four times.”
He stares at me wide-eyed. “That’s crazy.”
I shrug. “Yeah, well my uncle is a shit.” I love you too, nephew.
He laughs and says, “I’m glad though. Now, we can be a family without bringing anyone else into it.”
   I nod. “That’s the idea.”
He sits down beside me, strokes my cheek and says, “I love you.”
I kiss the palm of his hand and smile. “I guess I love you too.”
   He laughs. “Asshole.”

   Acknowledgements
I want to thank my parents for supporting me no matter what I do and tolerating me when I get in the zone of writing and ignore them completely. I want to thank Lisa Oliver one of my favorite authors for encouraging me to write the story speaking in my head instead of forcing myself to stick to a different stereotype. I thank the readers for taking the time to read a story from an unknown author like me. Last of all I want to thank all the musicians out there for playing their music and inspiring me. Also I want to thank Al Capone from the Untouchables for that amazing line of craziness.
   About the Author
I've had a passion for writing since the eighth grade. The first story I ever wrote I started then. I wrote it with input from a friend. It started as a song, we were going to start a band but it ended up turning into a book. I still have that notebook we wrote it in. I admit the story was there but the writing itself wasn't very good. It wasn't something I would publish. After I published my first three novels under a different name, I went back to that first story and rewrote the entire thing. I didn't change the characters, but I adjusted the plot, it still ended the same but I just made it better. It's finished now and I'll be publishing it eventually.
I published my first book three years ago and haven’t stopped writing since. I’m single and live at home with my five dogs and my cat. I'm working on multiple projects so I'll definitely be busy for a while. I'm licensed in cosmetology but after working in a salon for a year and writing on the side I realized it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life. I'm looking forward to publishing more books and I hope to have a best seller one day. That's every author's dream right?
