“And what will you love?” Aidan rose, walked to the counter and started fixing a plate of food.
“Being with you,” she said honestly. “You’re my heart. Thank you so much for coming into my life and showing me real love. After Darnell I didn’t think it was possible, but you showed me it was.”
“Baby, you’re going to make me forget about breakfast and rush you upstairs.”
Madisyn blew him a kiss. Since they’d married, Aidan had settled into their life easily. He played golf with her father, hung out with her brothers, and he’d even gotten involved with her church.
Madisyn’s life, however, would never be the same. She’d finally gotten used to the news media taking her pictures whenever she and Aidan were out. After her marriage, she stopped working to concentrate more time at Alliance, but Aidan had different plans for her. They’d ended up hiring someone to run it full time. For the first time in her adult life, Madisyn didn’t have a job. She’d thought they’d drive each other nuts both being at home, but it had been wonderful. Aidan had learned to cook, which he did often.
He placed a plate in front of her and they began to eat. “Should we have waited for Chase and Cadence?” Madisyn asked, scooping her eggs on top of her French toast. She really missed coffee, but there was no way Aidan was going to let her have any.
He took a sip of orange juice. “Nah, they’ll probably sleep late,” he said with a sly grin. “They won’t come over until it’s time for the flight.”
Madisyn nodded as she ate another bite. “So I guess that means we’ve got a little free time before our flight takes off. Any ideas?” She smiled at him.
Aidan reached for her hand and caressed it gently. “Oh, I think I’ve got about million ideas to keep you busy. I’ll start at your feet and work my way up.”
Madisyn licked her lips in anticipation as delicious thoughts ran through her head. “Well then, I’ll just have to pay you back the good way.”
Aidan rose, took her hand and led her upstairs. “Oh, I was so hoping.” He kissed her, picking her up in his arms and proceeding to show her one of the many ways he was going to love her.
