But he wouldn't, until she knows the truth. Even though I want her to know, I wouldn't want her to die. So it's better for her to hate me than losing her life.

Not a single day I haven't cried for her. I became more ferocious than before. Killing anyone speaking against me or her or in favour of that bastard, would see death.

It was never her outer beauty that caught my attention it was her inner purity and soul. That rejection of her dance with me made me even more confident that she was the one.

The innocence in her was mesmerizing, the way she tried to cross me made her more naïve, trying to sound confident before me when she wasn't made me starving for her.

Maybe that was the reason I hurt her when I didn't want to. Not once but twice. How should I make her believe that I can't resist her?

"Dam, I promise I will make heaven and hell one but will definitely find her. I am sorry bro." Rob's words brought me back to the hell of a reality without the love of my life.

"Rob. I need her." I said sighing and closing my eyes with my hands.

  Sasha West’s P.O.V:

"I want to go out. Will you take me or no, Mr. Alan Knight?" I asked pouting.

"No let me work." He replied, shooing me off.

"How much will you work? You have been working since long." I said hitting him on his shoulder.

"There's lot more beautiful. Will go but tomorrow" He said looking keenly at his laptop.

"I am going alone. Bye." I said walking out of his room.

I went down turning to see whether he was following, but he didn't. So I went out frustrated.

It's been five months since I left the mansion and my family. But Alan was a huge support due to which I could live in this isolated place.

I wanted fresh air, the time since I woke up I felt nostalgic. I wanted to be free. But he wouldn't come, claiming he had work.

As I went to the park, I walked like a mad person from here to there. Then I saw a shop far from the place I was standing in.

So I thought why not go and eat something. I walked to the bakery, for few minutes.

"Can I get the menu?" I asked.

"Sure darling." said a lady in her late fifties.

She pushed the menu to my side. I looked into the menu finding Italian truffle.

When I found it I ordered for one. I then took a seat on the corner and picked up a magazine to read.

After few minutes came my order which I gulped it, moaning. The chocolate felt so soft that I wanted it never to finish. But it did, and I didn't order more as I didn't want to gain fat.

After it finished I went to order fruit pastry for Alan.

"Thank you darling. Hope to see you soon." She wished while smiling, ever so lightly.

Her smile seemed familiar. But I have never met this lady in my life then why do I feel such. Thinking about her smile I went back to the farmhouse.

"Shit! Looking front while walking will fetch you sense." He said as he bent down to pick up the papers.

"Sorry I was thinking something else."

"Thoughts come in that empty head, Woah!" He said still picking the papers.

"Shut up. Not coming out with me and then making fun. Get some shame, Mr. Knight, which you rarely have." I mocked him back.

I threw his pastry cover on his face and walked to my room.

"Sasha I am sorry." I heard him say. But I didn't turn back and walked to my room slamming it.

I sat down picking up the newspaper to read today's news. Only if I knew that it could already worsen by mood, I wouldn't have dared.

I saw a headline that said, CRUEL DEATH CAUSED BY THE MAFIAN EMPEROR, DAMON KNIGHT TO FIFTY FOUR INDIVIDUALS.

When would he change? Till when will I hide from him? Why can't he change and we live like normal couple.

I didn't feel like reading it, so threw it there and fell on the bed, with unexpected tears covering my face.

"Sasha I am sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." said Alan coming in.

But I didn't open my eyes neither did I blink. I had no mood to talk. So I put up an act of sleep.

"Oh you are sleeping, well I am going out, hope you forgive me when I return." He said leaving me as he placed a kiss on my forehead.

As he left closing the door, I opened my eyes. After fifteen minutes or more I am unsure, I went out of my room.

The house was empty and I didn't know what to do. It was the first time in these five months, I have been alone.

So I thought let me check whether he ate his pastry or not. I went down to search the cover, only to find it empty.

A smile crept on my face. Then throwing it in the bin, I went to clean the kitchen. As I finished cleaning, I thought of cleaning his room.

So I walked up to his room, cleaning it and folding his clothes, then placing them neatly in his wardrobe. As I turned to leave I stood still unable to believe my eyes.

"No! This can't happen. Her smile is indeed familiar and it matches...."

  Chapter 26- Truth or Lie?

When things keep happening according to their own consent, confusion is ought to surface. Confusion leads to doubts, which in turn leads to the abortion of a relation.

I had my set of thoughts that led me to the place I am in now. Standing before the shop only to find it closed, made me doubt my presence here.

I wanted to meet that lady. I wanted answers which will make everyone happy. Finding her would repair the relation that became rough.

I stood disappointed, silently wishing someone to show me my destiny. It became impossible for me to hold back the tears that choked me.

A single word that could describe the girl standing in front of the bakery would be a mess.

"Hello young lady. What are you doing here this late in the night?" asked an old man passing by.

"I wanted to meet the lady in this shop." I replied trying to control my shivering voice, but failing miserably.

"Oh! You want to meet Amy? She would be in her house. She closes her shop at 7 in the evening." He told observing me keenly.

"Can you give me her.... address?" I asked unsure.

"Walk straight until you find a cross road and take a left from there. It's the last house." He said walking away in the same direction he guided me in.

I walked past him fast, so that I could clear all doubts as soon as possible. Walking for half an hour I stood before the house. There was a name plate with bold letters in red, Amy Jackson & George Jackson.

I went in knocking on the door. But didn't get a reply, so I banged harder to which I heard a voice.

"Coming, waiting for a second doesn't take your life, old ma.. Oh my! A guest, at this time of the hour, who are you young girl?" She asked shocked and eventually smiling.

Her smile brought back the memories. I stood still unable to speak.

"Are you okay?" She asked concerned.

"Yeah am fine. Sorry to disturb you, but it's urgent."

"Come in little girl. Sit down here."

"Thank you. I have something to ask. Please can you reply being honest?"

"What can this old lady tell you?" She laughed.

"About Lily" She stopped walking, not caring to turn to face me.

"L Li Lil Lily Lily." She cried profusely repeating the name, falling on the floor.

"AMY" Shouted the old man I met near the bakery, coming in.

Amy hugged him, still crying and repeating Lily's name.

"Am sorry I just wanted to know about Lily. I didn't know this would hurt you that much."

"Hey you, I should have guessed you to be trouble. Out of my house, else I will see to that you rotten in the police station." He shouted.

As I turned to leave, I heard Amy call me to stop.

"Wait. What is your name? Why do you want to know about my child?" She asked looking at me from the floor, intently.

"I am Sasha West, soon to be Sasha Knight. Lily is the key to happiness of the family I am going to be a part of. I want to know about her, please." I re
plied to which both of them stood shocked.

"It is because of that family, our child left us, too far unable for us to reach." she wept.

"Lily's parents died in a car crash. From then I raised that little girl, who had the genes of my dead sister. She was an innocent one. We always protected her like our own. Soon she grew up to inherit her mom's beauty as well. She could easily be mistaken as a fairy from heaven, if she had wings." She said falling on the couch, catching her head.

"But she chose the world of crime, unlike her personality. She wanted to become a crime reporter. We tried to tell her that she wasn't fit for that field. But she didn't listen. Her opinion was to stop the crimes happening in this world. We never said no to her decisions, and this time too we let her decide. And this was the biggest mistake." said George, holding his wife.

"Did she go to the Dare Horn Club?" I asked controlling the tears.

"Club, she hated getting social. Never in her life did she go to a club."

"What? Then how did she die? Who killed her? Was she pregnant?" I asked unable to believe.

"Pregnant. Girl, looks like you really don't know about my child. She would never do anything like that. Even if she did, we would have known." He said getting angry.

  "Then what happened to her?"

  "She was killed." He cried.

  "Who did that to her?"

"Someone from the mafia's family, we tried hard to find, but we couldn't. Do you know?" asked Amy, hoping to find the killer.

"No. I wanted to know, that is why I am here. Can you tell me anything that happened before she died? So that I can try finding the murderer"

"Nothing, she just called me and told, she had good news to share. That she was coming to tell. But we didn't see her after that." She replied crying.

"I promise you that whoever it is, I won't let him roam free like that. This is my number if you remember anything about Lily that you felt could help in finding the killer, please call me. Take care please, for Lily. She wouldn't like you crying like this for her." I tried to soothe her.

They waved me a bye, and I returned with a hug. I walked back to the house, thinking how the two sides were different.

  Alan lied.

  Lily died.

  Who killed?

  Chapter 27- Answers to none

I am back to the start. To a point where there is a road, which has many ways but not a single one, which can lead me to the right path. A lot more questions and answers to none. Was Alan wrong, or by the time Lily told her Uncle and Aunt, it was too late?

I am not able to believe the fact, that Damon could kill his brother's love. When he loves Rob and Ken so much that he can give his life to them, how can he kill his own brother's life?

Maybe I have lived only few months with Damon, but I can at least say with at most confidence, Damon Knight can never harm his family. Let alone for his selfishness.

I know that Damon is a player, but killing his brother's pregnant girlfriend only because he couldn't have her, no he can't.

If it is not Damon then, who would have killed such an innocent soul?

According to Alan there were only two people who were against their love, Damon and Peter.

Peter. Yes he can, but what will he get by killing Lily? Alan said he ignored his duties and quit mafia for his love. But why will that affect Peter? When, the king to be crowned is Damon.

God! Give me answers, she is killed years back and still her soul is wandering without justice. A small hint about the killer, and I will help you Lily. It's an unbreakable promise.

Whom should I ask? Who can give me correct answers? Rob, Ken and Mary can. But calling anyone of them will let them know my whereabouts, which I can't let happen.

Thinking lots and lots I went back home. As I opened the door, I was shocked to find Alan at the entrance. He was speaking on the phone, seeing me he cut the call to talk.

"Hey beautiful, where have you been?" He asked coming closer.

"Hi Alan" I replied not looking into his eyes.

  "What's wrong beautiful?"

  "What?"

"Why are you afraid and by whom?"

"Am not, it’s just sick feeling in my tummy." I replied walking past him, still lowering my head.

"Sasha. I asked you something. Bother to answer?"

  "What?"

"Where have you been?" He asked as if controlling his anger on each word he uttered.

"The park for fresh air" I replied.

  "Sure?"

  "What do you mean?"

"I hate lies. So if you are into it, then better not." He said, and I was sure there was a hidden meaning in that sentence he spoke.

I walked fast into my room slamming it. Why am I afraid of Alan? But I was. I was afraid of each and every person of the Knight family after hearing from the Jackson's.

Love, when this happens the whole world becomes irrelevant to us. The void in our heart that we don't realize till then, starts to tug our strings.

Innocence is an art that only stays with people who cherish it. Lily up to my knowledge is a soul who knows to love and nothing else.

I have to find out about Lily. I want to get justice for her. How? There was no idea for now. I heard a click sound on the door then I turned to see.

  "Alan."

  "Yes beautiful."

  "You don't have work today?"

"No. You wanted to go out so why not go now?"

  "But.."

"I will be waiting outside." He said walking out slamming the door on my face.

His changed behaviour is the result of my doings. Alan can never kill anyone, but still fearing him because of his family is the only option I can find now.

I went in to the bathroom closing the door. Turning the shower open to drench myself and my thoughts in the hot water is the only thing that seemed soothing as of now.

Standing below the shower I let myself enjoy the hot waters. But at times my mind wandered to Lily and her murder. After fifteen minutes of thorough bath, I came out.

After going to the wardrobe to pick out a beautiful yellow puff sleeves dress that stopped till mid-thigh, I stood before the mirror to apply lip gloss and little eye makeup. Drying my hair to natural waves, I stepped out of the room to find him waiting outside.

"Wow! You look gorgeous." He said coming closer and placing his arms on my waist.

"Thank you." I said pushing his hands aside.

He grits his teeth looking away. I walked past him without turning back or waiting for him.

We drove for long with silence and nothing else. Not even the songs were played. He didn't even turn to look at me but I did, at times sneak a look at him.

After that awkward drive we came to a halt to have some food.

"What can I help you with sir?"

"Food" Waiter didn't know what to say, for the sarcasm he got as a reply, from the Knight Prince.

"One veg grill sandwich please, for me." I said to make him feel better.

  "Sure mam. And...?"

  "Cheese burger" told Alan.

We sat again in silence for ten minutes. Then Alan turned to call someone but then put the phone back,

"Now may I know the reason?" He asked looking at me intently.

"Me? You are talking to me?" I asked shocked.

"No chair, you are sitting on."

  "Alan."

"Then, why are you behaving like this? As if I kidnapped you, as if you are forced to stay with me. You are afraid of me? Why?"

  "Am not afraid of you"

"Then what are you doing? Playing?"

"Can't you speak anything without using sarcasm?"

"Sasha. You are testing my patience. Never underestimate the Knight's. Its better you tell me what's going in that head, otherwise.."

"Otherwise what Alan, tell me Alan what?" I asked looking straight into his eyes.

  "I love you Sasha."

  Chapter 28- Conundrum

"I love you Sasha." That sentence felt so similar. Root
to all causing problems, from the mouth of a different person.

I didn't understand how to react. It was Alan telling me, he was sweet and pure. But something held me back in replying to him. I sat still, rethinking those words again and again.

  "SASHA. I am serious."

  "How should I react, Alan?"

  "What do you mean how?"

"I am engaged to your brother, ran from the marriage with you, so do you think that I would say a yes?"

"Sasha I never planned this okay? It just happened." He told as a matter of fact.

"Do I look like a slut? Because cancelling marriage with the elder brother and sitting here, getting proposed with the younger one does seem like one."

  "It's not like that beautiful."

"Alan I don't know. I need time." I said still in shock.

"It’s ok darling. Let's go home." He said standing from his place and escorting me to the car.

Our journey back home was quiet and silent. I was busy thinking about everything that has happened from the day I met Damon and till now.

As we reached the farmhouse, I ran to my room without turning back. I heard footsteps behind me, but didn't dare to turn.

Entering into the room I collapsed on the bed and my hand reached my phone. I scrolled the contacts but my ego didn't let me call the man I wanted to.

I got so involved in my world, that I didn't see the man standing before me.

"Can't you knock and come?" I asked irritation evident in me.

"I did, but someone seemed so caught up in that little spoiler piece, that they didn't realize me knocking." He said lying down beside me.

I turned to look at him, he seemed so similar to dam. His jaw line was equally sharp and his nose seemed familiar.

"Like what you see?" Alan smirked.

  "No, I was caught up."

  "Whose thoughts?"

  "His." I replied.

"Well! You still like him, don't you?" He asked, hurt visible in his voice.

"I don't know Alan. I never felt the feeling called love before. So I can't even think how it feels like to be in it." I said thinking.

"Love feels magic. You can't stop thinking about them and you always want to be with them. When they aren't with you, a void arises in your heart." He explained, keenly looking at the ceiling.
