“Hey girl! What’s this about?” Karen asked with an ignorant wink that made her look the more stupid, as the presence of Katherine and Victoria, was indicative of the fact that she had indulge in a matter of urgent concern.
“You don’t get the point, do you Karen?” Paula insisted grabbing Adam by the wrist emitting absolute possession over the man whose mind seemed to have traveled with Kate as she fled. His mother was the reason why he’d been caught up in a contest between two women who meant nothing more than friends to him. Katherine had motioned with a hand, after his attempts to chase Kate; she’d begged him to maintain his composure for the night, for the sake of Kingsley. She didn’t want any scandals involving him, which will stir any form of trouble with the noble Stewart.
He’d been caught up in the middle of the family drama, while his heart bled in pain, as finally, he was losing the woman of his dreams.
Paula paced forth and back in her room while she waited impatiently for Adam to appear before her as she’d earlier demanded. Her red eyes were a pointer to the fact that she’d probably been crying. The show Karen had put up drove her mind tirelessly to an escapade that had torn her friendship with Karen. The thought of that faithful night with Karen and Adam munching each other’s lips, made her even more impatient, though she’d sought to handle the matter with the maturity deserving of a woman of her class.
Her sparkling bangles dangled with the blend of the dimness of the room that induced an atmosphere for the perfect romantic night, though her angry stares masked her hidden intentions. He’s sober but attractive body mass slipped through the door while her raging eyes shot a stern gaze of contempt.
“You are so despicable Adam.” Paula insulted backing him, to avoid the tiny dribbles of tears that she fought effortlessly from flowing. He had a soft spot for Adam and it certainly was getting the better part of her. “I can’t believe you’ll take your little escapade to my party, to embarrass me in front of all my guests.” She yelled at the man who’d settled on a couch in one corner of the fancy room. Her wardrobe was tightly sealed, giving the room a neat appearance while two Chandelier lamps graced the sides of the soft bed that matched the pink drapes. He admired her sense of style and the air of elegance with which she portrayed herself. She was the epitome of beauty and they had been the best of friends as children. For some weird reason, he’d found the woman repulsively attractive, but he couldn’t love her in the way their parents were going about it.
“ You are overreacting Paula,” he refuted in a blank gaze that inspected the room thoroughly while his mind traveled the streets, wondering what could have become of Kate seeing him and Karen the way she did. Although to be candid, Kate was always in the nature of making rash conclusions.
“Did you just blurt out something or…” Paula cut in to make him feel stupid.
“Quit being so sarcastic, I said you are overreacting damn it” Adam interrupted in a protest, it was in her nature, to always get cynical, whenever she had a point to make. “I was just trying to ask Karen about…” The words stuck in his guts while he struggled to mask his guilt with a fake smile that Paula read without waste. They had been together longer for him to lie to her face. She may have not been with him for about two years, but she was not a stupid. She knew when a man was taking her on a fool’s ride.
“Oh yeah, now I’m overreacting?” She fought with herself for giving him so much latitude, to do whatever he wanted when the union she was offering him had so much benefit for him and his family. She had unfortunately fallen in love with the man so strong that she couldn’t walk him out of her life. Perhaps he’d been the only man who’d ever made her body ripple in such waves. “What were you about to ask her; oh the words can’t come out?” She asked batting her two inch prick toe sandals with a malicious grin; as though she knew the last words he’d intentionally left out.
He stood from where he was, advancing towards her with a pretentious gaze as though he had nothing to hide, but the man was too blunt for his own good or perhaps he had no reason to lie to women whom he imagined had fallen head over heels for him. His charms were exotic and he’d always had his way with all the women in his life, though he’d out rightly shun Karen off his trail because of his love for Kate.
Sadness rode pass his face as he reminisced a future spent without his lovely Kate, she’d left very bitter, but he was unable to run after her and explain things to her. His happiness was being laid down on the altar of some union, to salvage their family politics. He shrugged at the thought that Kate may finally leave him for good. Tears formed and watered the surface of his eyes, which Paula read as a slight sign of remorse but she wanted to put him under a moment of torture, to make him define his limits whenever he decided to flirt around.
He managed to maintain the pale countenance, for the sake of giving Paula the supplication she’d sort to induce.
“I don’t want you to think I care about what you do with your body in this town,” She flushed her silky hair with both hands, to expose her charms more prominently. “I won’t take the fact that my beloved, gets laid with every tramp he sets his eyes on.” She warned, with carved sexy thighs that stood discretely, begging to be touched, while he gave in to a moment of temptation as huge droplets of spittle dropped down his tummy in the anxiety that was stirring from within.
“What are you talking about? I didn’t get laid, I was only…” He added apologetically and dropped his stare immediately it caught hers. His expression withdrawn to the one of a man caught in an indefensible act. He’d suddenly turned submissive, though he sought to keep up the intimidating attitude he’d always displayed with all of his women, but this time he’d met his match. He’d always imagined Paula to be sweet and charming but she was daring in a way that it frightened him. Maybe that was the very reason why he’d fallen for Kate, because she was a determined woman but she’d always avoided challenging him at the very least.
“Yeah maybe you didn’t get laid with Karen this time, but who knows who else you get laid with”. She emitted a challenging frown, followed by a gruff sigh, emitting disdain on his regards.
“I thought we’d had talked about this whole mess with Karen.” Said Adam, with a stern gaze, trying to dismiss the subject on ground. “It was just once and besides, I was drunk.” He masked his guilt drawing closer to her, in his usual attempt to keep the matter off limits. He stretched an itchy hand towards her neck, seeing the invitation in her eyes. His family’s business was facing a serious crisis as the sales had reduced due to a drastic change in demand.
His father’s alliance with Stewart will put his father in a prominent position in the government and will greatly revive his footwear production. He’d reached for her lips immediately she tilted towards him with dying eyes tainted by tears.
“Adam, are you seeing the factory worker?” She asked rather disturbed and perhaps trying to clear any doubts of what she may have heard from Karen. She knew Adam was many, things but dating a low life, was definitely not one of his traits. If only she knew, that the man was lying probably to savor the passion they’d both inspired or to avoid any unnecessary rivalry that may jeopardize their family gains.
“No, of course not Paula.” He whispered, with his tongue buried into her lips, he snaked his tongue through her breast, with both hands trying to pull off the black string pants that divided the two apple shaped mountains that lay irresistibly beneath the lushly piece of cloth which now lay in one corner on the floor.
She pushed him with an angry passion, stuck him to the bed and pulled some handcuffs from an inner drawer that was somewhat discreetly placed. She clipped his hands to the side of the bed in excited hops with sparkling eyes that spoke the desire with which she’d hoped to have him all to herself and give him the most mind blowing sex of his lifetime.
“Have you ever tried this?” She brushed her butts over his banana rod that stood straight waiting to be fed.
“No, he responded impatiently, with eyes that spoke how much he
wanted her to fuck him without waist.
“It’s exciting,” She moaned as she fitted her greasy labia, over his hard cord.
“Ahh!” He moaned in a soft wriggle while the chains kept him fixed to the same spot.
“Let me take care of you my love.” She whispered, caressing his ears with a her moist tongue and maintaining steady jabs, while he was consumed by the ecstasy .Their loud moans filled the room and thanks to the buzzing music outside the hall, their excitement was well contained.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment, baby.” Paula expressed with watery eyes that spelt how much she’d missed him.
“Yeah baby, give it to me.” He went with the rhythm of her jabs, she sure made a difference. She’d heard some weird stories how much women in Atlanta were good at making a man beg for more. He was beginning to think, Atlanta produce the best women who could satisfy a man’s needs in bed. She was a proof of that.
He pounced on her, after she liberated him off the hook, his cork searching the perfect vent, while he pinned her head to the wall and taking her from behind, she screamed as he massacred her ego, with every loud and naughty scream that she let out. They stuck on each other steadily, while his huge hands squashed her soft nipples that caused her to scream the more.
The love struggled died out, while he poured the thick whitish mass on her butts and they both shared a short smile of satisfaction. She felt truly fulfilled, but his facial expression spoke worry and regret.
Chapter 4
“I’m sorry young man, but she is not at home”. Emily said, with a faint smile that concealed the angry gaze she’d emitted the moment he approached their apartment. He’d parked the black Land rover by a small path, which narrowed down the street. It was not in his nature to exhibit humility of such magnitude, he’d practically trekked a few meters from his car into the house.
Kate had fled into the house as far as her legs could carry her; she’d thought he had the effrontery to show up at her house, though she was surprised as it was his very first time.
“Ma’am I’m sorry to badge in on you like this,” He said in an apologetic smile that brushed his neatly carved beards that made him look all the more handsome. The early morning sun peered through the thin sheeted drapes that danced by the rhythm of the wind. His velvet shirt was a complete blend of richness and absolute sense of style, while the black tie matched his $1200 pair of brown trousers. His snowy blue eyes inspected the small apartment, in search of a glimpse of Kate, to no avail.
“I really need to speak with her it’s urgent”. He insisted, with the sort of determination in his eyes, which was masked in subtle but almost tearing look. He seemed pale and restless, though he displayed his noble ambiance at the very least.
“I’m sorry; she doesn’t want to speak with you.” Emily added in a soft air, with eyes that spelt sympathy for someone whom he may have very much wished to be his son in-law, but seeing her daughter break down the way she did, only gave him more reasons to resent the fellow. “Maybe you should come back some other time, when she is no longer mad”. Emily added, to avoid sounding very effusive, although she was boiling with rage, to throw the rich lord out of his house. She wanted him leave his house, for making her daughter go through such excruciating pain, but the man looked like he could not hurt a fly.
“Ma’am you don’t understand, this this is very…” He insisted. Kate descended the stairs and he was shocked and almost blinded by the impulse of her very presence.
“Mother, I’ll take care of this.” She stood fearlessly in front of him with a partial nod, indicating that her mother could leave the both of them to talk in private. His heart melted in pain, while his eyes panned the entire space, settling for her mother’s sewing machine to assess the social status of the girl he’d desperately been in love with against the wishes of his family.
Truth be told, he’d cared less about her position in the society and danced to the rhythm of his heart. All he wanted was for her to understand the tension that went on in his home, regarding the proposed union with Paula that he’d refuted from the onset. He stole his stare from the unkempt pieces of materials while the look in his eyes gave him away as he avoided Kate’s eyes as much as possible. He couldn’t dare to look her in the face; thoughts of the night with Paula brushed his weary eyebrows that narrowed in a feeling of guilt, which he’d been determined to conceal from the love of his life. He won’t know what to do if she found out about it; it would tear their world apart.
“What have you come to do here?” She interrogated in arrogance, seeing how he’d inspected the place. She was below his standards, so what? That was the life that was truly hers, where she fitted and where she was loved and appreciated. Not some rich folk community where they looked down on others as though they did have blood flowing in their veins. She was happy being who she was, she could only hope for a better life, nonetheless she expected others to treat her with respect.
“About last night,” he stuttered, searching the right words in other not to exhibit the level of guilt he felt deep down. “I want to…” He bleated shamefully, at her eyes that stuck to his and probably suggestive of the fact that there was no need to lie, because the situation spoke for itself.
“You don’t need to explain yourself, Mr. high and mighty,” She defended at hairbreadth with eyebrows that pushed upwards, in a cynical manner. “I get the point; I’m not the type of woman that fits into your world that’s why you need to chase my friend.” She added gruffly. The look in her eyes was that of a woman struck by the waves of disappointment. She swept an involuntary globule of tear that narrowed beneath her eyelid against her wish. She fought to maintain a happy gaze which made her appear the more ridiculous in her charade. Adam could see that she was in bad shape, given their recent state of affairs and she was bent on driving him out of her life, though she knew they could barely be happy.
“Adam Kingsley, leave me alone, there are other befitting girls worthy of your lordship, definitely not Kate”. She added in a seemingly angry tone.
“Is this all you have to say to me?” He brooded repulsively, he could not understand why she will never give him the chance to explain himself, even when he exuded the humility that he so lacked. He’d tainted his reputation amongst the many whom had found out he had an alliance with her. The least she could do was to show him some respect. She was still his man, irrespective of the latest crisis they’d unwittingly plunged into. He’d had had a history with Karen that she was unaware of, that didn’t give her the right to accuse him the way she was doing. He’d been caught in Karen’s attempted lewd web because he was curious about her well-being. If only she hadn’t walked out on him in the hotel, without listening to what he had to say on Paula’s regard, things wouldn’t have become all messy.
Everyone apportioned blames on him, for their emotional baggage. “I spoke with Karen on your behalf, if only you didn’t refuse taking my calls, this won’t have happened.” He insisted pinning an intimidating gaze on Kate’s tattered hair that emitted a repulsive regard.
“So it’s my fault now?” Her eyes warned his, grabbing her hair into a neater coil, perhaps to dismiss whatever notion his eyes had attached to her unkempt hair.
“No its not, and it’s not my fault either, if your girlfriend can’t seem to get her fucking ass off my case.” He refuted harshly.
“This is getting interesting” She teased a short chuckle that faded in a stiff and repulsive dash of her eyes. “Mr. Kingsley, whose fault will it be for getting laid with Paula?” She asked in confidence at hairbreadth, blocking his eyes to his, to make sure he confessed.
“Get laid with Paula?” Are you out of your god damn mind?” He refuted instantly. His harsh rebuttal regarding such concerns was a clear indication that he’d cheated on her. Her eyes leaked with uncontrollable tears while she reminisced what had transpired between Paula and her at the factory.
A strange brunette had surveyed the factory precisely a month ago; she’d walked str
aight to her and gave her the slap of her life. She’d tried retaliating, when a friend at the factory cautioned from behind that she was the boss’ wife to be. At first Kate had imagined that it was Don Mac Kingsley who was taking another wife. But when Paula began with her drama, it dawn on her that her relationship with Adam was going to be hit by a tempest.
She’d bluffed how she had Adam in her palms and that she could do whatever she’d wished to do with him. She’d detailed the last night they’d spent together before she traveled to Atlanta. She spoke of how beautiful it was and that she could have him in her bed at her discretion. Kate had refused to believe her absurd assertion, but Adam had given her more than enough reasons to believe Paula was saying the truth.
She’d been a fool all the while, her mother had dissuaded her from the idea of wishing a lifetime with a blueb-lood, but she’d relegated her mother’s advice to the wind, but she saw her reasons now and it was already too late. He’d become a part of him and getting him out of her system was becoming as difficult as living without a part of her body.
“Yes I am out of my mind, for loving a Casanova like you.” She added harshly with flapping silky lashes drenched in a pool of tears.
“I will ask you for the very last time, and do me a favor,” she added taking his bushy cheek into her hands and penetrating his soul through his eyes, “don’t lie to me. Did you sleep with Paula?” She demanded and waited impatiently for his response.
“Don’t be ridiculous.” He retaliated looking away from her.
“Answer the damn question!” She brooded facing him against his wish.
“I did not.” Adam answered in a blank expression that rode pass his guilty forehead, while his heart drummed as loud as hers.
“You did.” Kate forced the words down his throat with expectant eyes as though she was cock sure of what she wanted him to admit, which he was bent on concealing.
