Alan the Christmas Donkey Page 19

Thanks also to all our customers. Without your kind donations there would be no Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary.

I’m not the only one who owes a huge debt of gratitude to Muffin, the sanctuary’s founding resident. When I rescued him it inspired me to change my life, taking it in a direction I never could have predicted. It is directly down to his influence that hundreds of donkeys have had a haven in which to live out the rest of their lives without cruelty, mistreatment or loneliness. I know that all of my residents would thank him for that.

And finally, thank you to Alan. There may be days when I wish he’d just pipe down and behave himself, but without his antics the sanctuary would be a much duller place to be. As well as a heap of stress, he’s brought love and laughter into my life by the bucketload. I wouldn’t have him any other way.

  Support Alan

Admission and parking are free, but donations are welcomed. Buying a bucket of carrots to feed the donkeys, or treating yourself to a cup of tea and a slice of cake in the cafe all helps towards the cost of looking after the donkeys and ensuring others in need can be rescued too.

For more information about the donkeys and the sanctuary, or to make a financial donation, visit www.radcliffedonkeys.com.

  Adopt Your Favourite Donkey

Your favourite donkey needs you! Adopting a donkey for just £20 a year will help to keep him or her warm, healthy and well fed. You’ll receive a special personalised certificate thanking you for your support. An adoption pack is the perfect gift too. For information about how to sign up for an adoption, please visit www.radcliffedonkeys.com or enquire when you visit the sanctuary.
