  "You still hungry?" She grinned.

"Well yeah Mama, what's for dinner?" Thomas smirked back.

Together they got dressed and walked into the kitchen. Rose turned to pull the chicken out of the oven, her mind still on how it felt to have a man, to have Thomas inside of her. She couldn't calm her heartbeat and she couldn't stop smiling. As she turned around to set the chicken on the counter, she noticed Thomas doing something on his phone. When he realized Rose was looking at him, he slid his phone back into his pocket. Thomas had a look of concern on his face. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah, everything is perfect. It's just my old friend Gill saying hi." Thomas stood and walked towards her. "Dinner smells amazing. What is it?" He asked,

"Roasted chicken with potatoes and a garden fresh salad." Rose smiled.

"Sounds perfect. I need to refuel anyways." He smirked again, and she could see the light in his eyes.

"Well, how about you eat and then go see your friend Gill."

"Rose, there is no other place I would rather be tonight. Gill can wait." He pulled her in close to him.

Rose didn't think much about Thomas wanting to stay with her tonight. In fact, that is how she wanted it too. Still, she spotted the concern in his eyes when he read the text from Gill. Whoever Gill was, there was something going on that needed Thomas's attention. Just then, Thomas's cell phone started to ring,

  "Hello?" Thomas answered.

"When?" Thomas asked into the phone.

"I told you I was out." Thomas's voice was strong as he spoke and then put his phone back into his pocket.

"Rose, I have to leave. I am sorry about this, but something has come up." Thomas had a look of fear on his face.

"Is everything okay Tom?" Rose spoke with concern in her voice. She could feel something was not right. What was going on with him that she didn't know about? What did he say he was out of anyways? She didn't want to know, not tonight anyhow. Tonight she would remember as perfect.

As Rose let Thomas out the front door, they shared one more kiss. "When will I see you again?" Rose whispered.

"Soon. I promise. Real soon." He playfully smacked Rose on the ass and jogged off to his car.

Rose finally lost her virginity to a mystery of a man who she felt she had known forever. She didn't know why he moved to Middleton or why he was interested in her, but she did know how she felt for him. She closed the front door and walked slowly to the living room, remembering what she had shared with Thomas there. She lay down, breathing in the scent on the sofa, his sent, their scents blended perfectly. She closed her eyes remembering his taste and how he felt inside of her as she drifted to sleep

Rose woke up that Saturday morning with lightness in her heart that made her feel as if her feet were 5 inches off the floor. Thomas had made her melt last night with just one touch of his strong and delicate embrace. She could still feel him lingering inside of her and her pussy ached for him. She hadn’t expected it to feel so amazing her first time in bed with a man. She had heard so many horror stories about how the first time would hurt, make her bleed even. However, none of that happened to her and she was glad that it didn’t. Thomas gave her body an explosion that was so intense her legs still quivered as she lay in her bed. She wished so badly that Thomas was with her now. It would have been like heaven to have woken up to the likeness of his strong arms wrapped around her, holding her close and keeping her safe. She wondered why he had left so suddenly like he had after the phone call with Gill. It must have been something important, probably his car died or something like that. She put it out of her mind and smiled as she stretched her arms over her head. She knew she had to get to work, the library couldn’t run its self. She let her feet touch the cool hard wood floor as she reached for her cell phone on the end table. “Damn it.” She thought to herself, “He didn’t even text me back.” Rose thought it strange that Thomas didn’t text her back because he always texted her. Now that they had actually had sex she thought for sure he would have something witty and sweet to say to her, but there was nothing. Maybe he was just really tired last night after helping Gill out and he might still be sleeping, it was after all only 6:30 in the morning. She decided to text him something simple before she got into the shower and set off for work. “Good morning! Last night was amazing.” She said as she entered the letters into her phone. “Send.”

Rose couldn’t help but think about Thomas while she took a shower. The hot water beading over her naked skin reminded her of the way his hot mouth felt on her yesterday. She hated that the water was washing away his scent from her flesh and she could smell a hint of him in the steam as it arose up from below her. She poked her head out and around the shower curtain and looked at her phone, hoping the blue light would be flashing to let her know he had replied to her text message. Nothing. Rose reluctantly put her head under the shower head. She hoped that everything was okay. She couldn’t imagine Thomas being one of those hit-it-and-quit-it types of guys. He was a sensitive man and she didn’t want to think the worst of him, not yet anyways. All she wanted to think about was the way he made her feel. The more she remembered the pleasure he inflicted upon her the more hungry for his touch she was becoming. Why hasn’t he texted her yet? She could feel her stomach knotting up and the gut feeling of something being wrong was starting to creep up on her. She pushed the uneasiness out of her head by reminding herself that it was still early in the morning. “Give the man a break.” She said aloud, almost as if she was talking to the negative side of herself.

Thomas hated that Gill still had his hooks in him and was so fucking disruptive. That’s exactly what Gill did too, disrupted him from the best evening of his life that he was having with Rose. He brought his fingers up to his nose and inhaled deeply. He could still smell Rose’s sweet juices on his hands and it made him remember her laugh. She had the most adorable laugh. It was on the high end of the octave scale, but not so high as to be a screeching. No, Rose had a laugh like an angle and it was like sweet bedroom music to his ears. Just 10 hours ago he was wrapped up in her sweet arms; making love to the woman he just knew was the one he wanted to be with forever. Now he was 2,500 miles away in Los Angeles, California with a sniper rifle pointed at the entrance to the Nice Guy on La Cienega Boulevard. He had the picture of the target, an olive colored man with dark wavy hair. He didn’t know the name of his target and he didn’t want to either. It made it easier to become more personal for him and he couldn’t be personable or have any kind of human emotion while he was taking out a target. “Damn it Gill.” Thomas puffed. He had told Gill he wanted out of these target missions, that was the entire reason he relocated himself to Middleton, to break away from this shit. It was the only reason why he let himself get close to Rose. Thomas felt his cell phone vibrate in his pocket. He reached down to his side, never taking his eyes off the front door to the Nice Guy; couldn’t miss his target. He brought the phone around and into his line of sight so he could see the screen to the phone with his eye still on the scope as he swiped the screen. “Last night was amazing Rose.” Thomas said under his breath after he read the message on his screen. He hated that he couldn’t call her, couldn’t be with her right now. What would she think of him, running out like that right before they sat down to the chicken dinner she had made for him; after they made love? He wanted to text her back but he couldn’t send any messages right now, he had to focus on the mission at hand, taking out his target. He placed his cell back into his pocket as he shifted his hips to get more comfortable. His cock was reacting to the memory of Rose’s hard nipples on his lips. “There you are.” Thomas spoke softly as he closed one eye shut so that all he could see was the crosshairs lining up dead-center on his targets forehead. The gun made a quite popping sound and the target fell to the sidewalk. Thomas lowered the rifle and his head and rolled over to his back while quickly dismantling the gun. He crawled three paces forwards as he shut his brief case closed and then stood up and headed for the stairwell on the top of the roof.
/>   As Thomas entered his motel room he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and quickly found Roses name in his contacts. As he pushed the green send key he flopped backwards onto his bed and put his free hand behind his head. He was smiling now, knowing that he was seconds away from hearing Rose’s voice. He needed to hear her voice too. He had been taking out these targets now for some many years that it had become something of routine, but the past year had really taken a toll on him and his heart felt heavy. He wanted to leave Gill to handle his targets on his own. After all, it was Gill that was calling the shots around here. If the targets were so much of a threat then Gill should be able to find plenty of other recruits that were at his disposal and get them to do the dirty work. He really wanted out and he planned to let Gill know how he really felt about his disruptive requests and poor timing. Thomas would give anything to be back in Middleton right now, but his flight didn’t leave for another 4 hours so he would make do the best he could.

“Well hello Mr.” Rose said smiling. She was happy that Thomas had finally called. “You all finished up with Gill?”

“Not exactly Hun, but I want to see you tonight.”

“Tonight huh? Well I am not sure if I can, I need to check my schedule.” Rose scanned two books to check them back into the system and placed them in the restock pile.

“That’s right, busy body, tonight. So clear your schedule.” Thomas chuckled.

  “Where are you?” Rose asked.

“Lying down right now. Gill needed help moving his mother’s refrigerator into the truck. He asked me to help him finish cleaning her house out.” Thomas hated lying to her; he thought she could tell he was lying by how quickly he responded to her.

“Well, that should have you nice and hungry for dinner .We still have this chicken to eat and I can heat it up later if you want.”

“Oh I’ll have an appetite alright, but you know I need my dessert too right?” Thomas smirked.

“I can make a cake.” Rose said happily.

Thomas smiled. He thought it was so cute that she wasn’t aware of his flirting with her. Typical sweet Rose. “Yeah, cake sounds great. Can I make a request?”

“Sure.” Rose said. She took him for a chocolate cream pie type of man.

“I want you to be the cake.” Thomas sat up in bed anxiously wanting to hear how she would react to that.

Rose blushed and she could feel her face getting hot. She was embarrassed. She should have seen that coming from a mile away. She went to speak but nothing came out. She was literally speechless.

“What’s that matter, cat got your tongue?” Thomas laughed.

“Hush up. It’s not funny Tom, you caught me off guard.” Rose said softly.

“I’m just teasing you. You can’t say you don’t like it.”

“I didn’t say I didn’t like it, it’s just that you shocked me a little bit.”

  “Well?” Thomas asked.

  “Well what?” Rose responded.

“Did you forget my request so soon baby? Are you going to be my cake tonight?” Thomas grinned from ear to ear. He knew what he was doing to Rose and it made him rock hard for her.

“Gee, I don’t know. I might be awfully tired when I get home from all the strenuous work here” Rose let a partial laugh slip from her lips.

“Strenuous work huh? All that reading must really make your muscles sore ey?” Thomas shook his head.

“Oh be quiet Tom, work is work you know. Seriously though, I think I can serve you up with the dessert you’re requesting. That is, if you promise not to go running off right after.” Rose meant what she said. She wanted Thomas; there was no denying that fact, but when he left like he did it made her feel a little cheap.

“Oh, I promise. Nothing and nobody is going to be able to get me away from you when I get back. The things I have planned for you tonight are all that I am worried about.” Thomas licked his lips as his cock jumped in his pants.

“And what might those plans be?” Rose demanded.

“You really want to know” he asked.

“Yeah, I really want to know.” Rose said matter-of-factly.

“Well for starters I am going to have to kiss your soft and sexy lips. Then I’m going to lean in slowly and let my lips brush against your neck ever so slightly.” Rose smiled as she looked around to be sure nobody in the library was watching her. His words made her remember how his lips felt on her last night. She remembered the warmth that radiated off of his sexy mouth. She could feel her pussy start to throb. “Then I am going to make a trail around your ear with my tongue until I feel the chills on your arms.”

“Okay, stop.” Rose said it but she didn’t mean a word of it. She wanted him to keep talking.

“But I’m not going to stop. I’m going to slowly let my fingers feel their way under your shirt to your soft breasts. Then I’m going to take your nipples between my fingers and pinch them ever so softly until they are erect from the pleasure. Next, I am going to lift your shirt over your head and let it fall to the floor. As I slowly unclasp your bra I am going to let my mouth fill with your breasts as I suck on your erect nipples and flick them with my tongue.”

Rose breathlessly said, “Stop Tom. You don’t know what you’re doing to me right now. I’m at work you know.”

  “So?” Thomas said.

  “So, people can see me.”

“So what if they can see you? Don’t tell me you’re blushing over there Rose.” Thomas teased.

“Maybe just a little.” Rose whispered into the phone.

Thomas heard a soft knock on the motel door. “Hey Rose, Gill just came back from fueling up the moving truck, I hate to let you go, but I got to get going so I can get to you.” Thomas stood up from the bed and moved towards the door.

“Oh sure, no problem. What time do you think you will be here so I can have dinner ready?” Rose asked as she stood up and smoothed out her black skirt.

“Let’s say around 6:30 or 7ish. I’m going to stop by my place and take a shower first.”

“Okay, I’ll see you later babe.” Rose swiped the screen of her phone and set it on the desk.

As Thomas opened the door to the motel he said, “Come on in Gill.”

“You handled that quick this morning. That’s why you’re my best guy.” Gill put his hand on Thomas’s shoulder as he walked passed him to the chair in the corner.

“Yeah, about that.” Thomas said as he scratched the top of his head, “I told you I wanted out of this Gill. That’s the whole reason I moved to Middleton. We already talked about this.” Thomas sat down on the edge of the motel mattress and faced Gill.

“I know you told me you wanted out, but things have changed. There are some real threats to the agency right now and you are the man we trust to complete the mission with accuracy. Gill folded his hands together.

“Look Gill, I’m out. Find a new recruit, hell I don’t really care. I am done. There is no discussing this. I have a good thing going for me in Middleton and I plan on keeping it that way.” Thomas was very direct in his tone.

“Ah yes, Rose is it?” Gills eyebrows shot up.

“That’s right. Her name is Rose. So this is it. I don’t ever want to get another phone call from you unless its to say Happy Birthday. Do you understand?”

“Well sure I understand buddy. No problem.” Gill stood up and shook his head as he walked towards the exit.

“Good. My flight leaves in a few hours and I still have to pack up and get to the airport. See yeah around Gill, and remember, I’m out this time.” The door shut behind Gill as he left the room and Thomas had the feeling that Gill wasn’t taking him seriously. That really didn’t matter though; Thomas wasn’t taking out any more targets. In fact, he was tossing this cell phone just as soon as got back to Middleton so Gill couldn’t call him anymore.

Rose was excited that Thomas was coming back to her house in a few hours. She really wanted him to taste her cooking too. She enjoyed cooking and her mother always told her that th
e way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Rose looked at her watch as she lifted her hand to turn the library lights off for the night. It was 4pm on the dot. This left her just enough time to get home and shower, change, and heat up the chicken from Friday night. Thomas had left her a little flustered earlier on the phone but she loved the feeling of anticipation. Thomas was good at that, leaving Rose with a sense of what’s to come later on. She was excited. She had firsthand knowledge of the pleasure Thomas was capable of inflicting on her, but to know that he was going to stay the entire night made her nervous in a good way.

Thomas’s flight arrived in to Middleton Regional Airport at 4:05pm and he had gone straight to his apartment and jumped in the shower, but not long after he was finished taking a hammer to his cell phone. As he was buttoning up his black dress shirt it dawned on Thomas that he couldn’t remember the last time he had been this excited over a woman. Sure, he had been with woman in the past, lots of them actually grabbed his attention over the course of his travels per Gill, but none of them had quite the same effect that Rose put on him. He thought it might be because it has been awhile since he had last actually been with a woman and the newness wasn’t wearing off quite as fast as it had in the past. He dismissed that though because this was different. What he felt went beyond what any other woman had struck in him. Thomas wasn’t concerned about his own needs anymore. He only wanted to please Rose. He wanted so much to be the man that she deserves to have by her side and he compensated by making extra efforts at making her feel special. So tonight he was bringing an exceptional bottle of wine from 1962 along with a dozen long stem roses. He laughed at the irony in it, a rose for Rose.

Rose was humming and anxiously watching the clock as she paced back and forth in her kitchen. Thomas should be at her house in less than an hour and she couldn’t wait to kiss his lips. There was a secure feeling to his presence which she particularly appreciated. He was strong and a lot bigger than she was and being wrapped up in his arms felt like she was in the arms of Hercules himself. Rose opened the oven and to take a peek at the chicken. It smelled amazing. Like savory herbs with a hint of garlic and butter in the air. The rosemary came through too, which made the air retain a cozy feel. She knew Thomas was going to love it. She almost lost her breath when she heard the doorbell ring. “Just a minute, I’ll be right there.” She yelled down the hallway. Rose took a quick glance in the mirror to check that her eyeliner wasn’t smudging anywhere. “Here goes nothing.” She said to herself as she walked to the front door.
