The Davenport Christmas Chronicles

“I know what you want, Cricket, but you’re gonna wait,” he said, then ran his tongue over my mound, blowing again and I nearly came then and there.

  “Jase,” I begged.

“You want Jase or Minus, Cricket?”

  “Minus,” I said immediately.

He stood, guiding me toward the bunks and tapping the metal of the ladder. “Hold on.”

I wrapped my hands over one of the rungs and Minus gripped my hips, pulling me back slightly, and gently kicking my legs further apart. “Leave your panties where they are,” he demanded.

I groaned, unable to spread my legs any more, but doing what he demanded. I heard the clink of his belt buckle and the zip of his jeans and I shivered in anticipation.

“You ready for Minus?” he asked.

I grunted with a nod and the sting of leather against my ass sent a shock of pleasure to my pussy. I whimpered with need, receiving another slap of the belt in response. “You need to be quiet, baby. Unless exhibition is your thing.”

I swallowed, tightening my hold on the ladder. The jingle of keys had me intrigued, no earthly idea what he’d need them for, until I heard a buzz, then felt that buzz against my clit.

“Oh, my god, what is that?” I whispered.

  “You like that, huh?”

I nodded, dropping my head back. “So much.”

“It popped up in an ad and I ordered it. Looks like a jump drive. Actually, it is a jump drive...it just doubles as a pocket rocket.”

He pressed it a little harder against my clit and then slid it back over my folds.

“Mmmm,” was about all I could get out.

“Bend more,” Minus said, and I did so immediately, rewarded with the vibrator pressed against my tight hole.

I whimpered again, frustrated I couldn’t spread my legs more.

The leather hit my ass again, and his hand rubbed the sting away, continuing to push the vibrator inside of me. Then his dick was inside my pussy and he was moving.

  God, he was moving.

He gripped my hips, slamming into me over and over, and I forced myself not to scream as a climax washed over me.

I heard the belt fall to the floor and then his hand slid between my legs and he pressed his fingers against my clit, building yet another orgasm in me before slapping those same fingers against my pussy as he continued to slam into me.

“Minus,” I hissed. “Get there, baby.”

He slapped my pussy again, and I could no longer hold back my voice as I came. Hard. Minus wasn’t far behind me, his dick pulsing inside of me as he pulled me to standing and kissed the back of my neck. “How do you feel about your man-child now?”

“Perhaps that was a little hyperbole.”

“Oh, hyperbole,” he said, slowly, sliding his hand to my throat. “Such a big word.”

He was still buried deep inside of me and I dropped my head back onto his shoulder as he stroked my pulse. “Big word for a big man.”

  He chuckled. “Good save, Cricket.”

His hand slipped to my breast, cupping it before rolling a nipple between his fingers. I groaned pressing into him.

“I want my panties off,” I begged. “And you on your back.”

  “You wanna ride me, Cricket?”

  “Oh, god, yes.”

He pulled out of me, tore my panties from my thighs and lifted me so I could wrap my legs around his waist before sitting on the chair at the end of one of the bunks. I shifted so I could impale myself on his already rock-hard cock, leaning down to kiss him as his girth filled me.

“Where’s that vibrator?” I asked against his mouth.

He leaned to the side and snagged it from the top of the pile of his clothes. Turning it on, he pressed it against my clit and I bit my lip as I raised and lowered myself on his length.

I moved faster and faster, losing the vibrator when Minus began to fuck me back. I anchored myself on the back of the chair and we fucked each other into a mind-blowing orgasm that lasted for several minutes. He cupped my breasts, running his tongue over each nipple before wrapping his arms around my waist and pulling me close. “I love you, Cricket Wallace.”

I smiled, leaning down to meet his eyes. “I love you, too, Jase Vincent.”

“Let’s set the date,” he said. For the umpteenth time.

  “No.”

“Why the fuck not?” he demanded, and I separated myself from him.

“I’m wearing your engagement ring,” I said, raising my hand for effect. “Or did you forget?”

“You’ve been wearin’ that ring for a fuckin’ long time, Cricket. Why won’t you set the date with me?”

“Because we are perfect just the way we are and I don’t want to fuck that up.” I snagged my skirt off the floor. “I can’t believe you ruined another pair of my underwear.”

He pushed off the chair and took my skirt from my hand, dropping it back on the floor. “One day, you’re gonna say yes, Cricket.”

I shrugged. “Maybe. But it doesn’t mean I love you any more or less, honey. A piece of paper isn’t going to make my commitment more solid.”

  “You wanna have kids?”

  “You know I do. Eventually.”

  “Then, we’re gonna get married.”

“As you’ve stated a million times.” I cupped his face. “I’m fine with that...eventually.”

He let out a quiet growl and kissed me. “Gonna wear you down.”

  “I look forward to it.”

He dropped the subject and we went about getting dressed before making our way out of the room to join our family again. Luckily, the rest of the evening went off without a hitch and I was glad to see my brother and my man making an effort to get along.

The next morning, I padded into the clubhouse kitchen to find Poppy making a huge pot of coffee. “I love you the mostest,” I said.

Poppy grinned. “It’s funny that you say that whenever I’m making you coffee.”

  “Do I?” I asked in a sing-song voice, grabbing a mug.

“It’s gonna be a minute, Auntie.”

I wrinkled my nose. “A minute’s not really acceptable, Poppy.”

“And yet, I still can’t snap my fingers and make it go faster.”

  I sighed. “Rude.”

Poppy chuckled. “I know. They didn’t cover that in school.”

I smiled. “What are you doing up so early?”

“I’m always up this early,” she said, pulling cream out of the fridge. “I can’t seem to sleep in anymore.”

  “Where’s Sparky?”

“He’s helping Sid with one of the outside lights. I guess motion was caught in that area behind the sign, but the light didn’t come on.”

Poppy had started to call Hatch “Sid,” short for “Stand-in-Dad,” after he officially adopted her, although, she called him “Dad” more nowadays.

If I’d had coffee, I probably would have done a spit take. “Area behind the sign? I thought that was a blind spot.”

“It was,” Poppy said. “Until about two months ago when Sid decided to add cameras.”

  I swallowed.

  Shit.

  “Who monitors the footage?”

“Recruits, mostly. Although, Flea acts as Dad’s second, so he’s the one who stores everything.”

  Shit, shit, shit.

  “Why?” Poppy asked.

“No reason.” I smiled. “Is the coffee ready?”

  “Almost.”

“I take it you’ve spoken with Crow,” Duke said as he picked up my call.

“What the hell? You didn’t feel like giving me a head’s up?”

“Wasn’t my story to tell. Besides, I didn’t know if, or when, Crow would make it official.”

“He really buying the old Clark ranch?”

“Sure is. From what I understand, he paid full asking price. Sounds like he’s all too ready for retired life.”

  “If you consi
der running around with a bunch of fucking alpacas retirement,” I grumbled.

“It’s good to hear your voice, Minus. Even if you sound like a city boy again.”

I laughed. “Out here, everyone tells me I sound like a hick. How’s Pearl doing?”

“I’ll tell you, that woman is gonna drive me to drinkin’.”

“But you already drink,” I replied.

“I know, and tonight Pearl’s drivin’ me to the bar so I can do just that.” I could hear the smile on Duke’s face.

“You crack yourself up, don’t you, old man?”

  “Someone’s gotta do it.”

“Well, you tell Pearl Merry Christmas from Cricket and me. We’re gonna be in Savannah early next year on club business, and we’re gonna try our best to come visit y’all.”

“She’ll be tickled to hear that. We sure do love that little lady of yours.”

  “The feeling’s mutual.”

“So, how did the Dogs take Crow’s retirement?” he asked.

“About how you’d expect. It’s tough enough losing a President, but when he’s the founder as well...”

I let my words trail off. If anyone had perspective on the matter, it was Duke. He’d known the founders of both the Saints and the Dogs since the beginning. Both clubs had chapters in Savannah, and although Duke had never been affiliated with either, he rode and did business freely with both. He was as trusted and as loyal as a biker could be, and despite his laid-back, elder farmer vibe, was a dangerous man back in the day. Duke was a powerful ally and had deep connections.

“Well, I’m sure once the dust settles, the club will rally around their V.P. as he makes the transition.”

“Sounds like there’s one memo you missed.”

  “How’s that?” Duke asked.

“Hatch is the Dogs of Fire’s new President.”

Duke laughed heartily. “I bet that just made your day. Oh, shit. I wish I’d been there to see your face.”

  “Yeah, yeah.”

“Good for him. Hatch is a good man, and I’m sure he’ll do his club proud.”

“You sound like Cricket. She’s all but put up a shrine to St. Hatch in our living room.”

“Listen up, boy. If you want a happy life at home and in the clubhouse, my strong advice would be to bury the hatchet with Hatch.”

“He’s the one with a chip on his shoulder. I’m over the past.”

“Horseshit. You might think you’re over it, but I know different. If there’s friction between the two of you, it’s because Hatch knows it, too.”

“Gee, thanks for having my back, Duke. If I’d known this was going to be such an uplifting conversation, I’d have called sooner.”

“I ain’t sayin’ you don’t have your reasons to be pissed, I’m just saying you gotta let ’em go.”

I knew Duke was right. Hell, Duke was always right.

“Either way, I’ve got bigger things to worry about right now than Hatch,” I said. “Like the Spiders.”

  “You heard anything yet?”

“Nothing. It’s been dead quiet since we confronted them at their compound,” I replied.

“Maybe they’ve decided to stand down.”

“As much as I’d love to believe that, I just don’t see Char and Wolf backing down, or leaving so much potential cash on the table.”

“One thing’s for sure. With the Saints, Dogs, and Los Psychos out of the way, the Spiders would have free reign of Portland, and eventually the entire Northwest, and the only way you’re gonna keep that from happening is by sticking together, no matter what kind of bad blood you may have between your clubs.”

  “I’m trying, Duke.”

“I know you are, and I’m proud of you, Minus. How’s your relationship with Los Psychos these days?”

“Surprisingly solid,” I said. “El Cacto is all business and has kept his word so far. I’m pretty confident that he’ll have our back if the shit comes down, but I’ve got a new joint business venture to propose that I think will really cement our new friendship.”

“See, that’s why Cutter put you in charge.” I could hear the smile return to Duke’s face as he spoke.

Duke and I finished catching up, and I hung up before joining Cricket in the kitchen.

“We have a problem,” Cricket whispered, grabbing my cut and pulling me out of the room.

“Yeah, I know. I haven’t had any coffee.”

  She shook her head. “Worse.”

  “What’s wrong?” I asked with a frown.

She licked her lips and smoothed her palms down my cut. “So, you know the blind spot by the sign?”

“The same blind spot I fucked you thoroughly in?”

She bobbed her head up and down. “Yes.”

“Yes, I know that blind spot, Cricket.”

“It’s no longer a blind spot.”

I raised an eyebrow. “Come again?”

“Hatch had cameras put there a couple of months ago.”

I stared at her for a few seconds and then dropped my head back and laughed. “Of course he did.”

“Why are you laughing?” she snapped.

“Because he probably got a good show.”

Cricket blushed beet red and growled. “That’s so unbelievably gross, but, just so you’re aware, he isn’t the one who looks at the footage. Flea is.”

“Well, then, Flea got a good show.”

“Unlike you,” she hissed in a whisper. “I’m not an exhibitionist. You need to fix this.”

“How am I going to fix this?”

“You’re going to get those tapes and destroy them.”

“Or keep them for our own uses.”

She rolled her eyes. “I have no problem with that, but you need to get them back so they are no longer here.”

“Baby, I doubt anyone’s watching them.”

“Jase. If my brother accidentally sees anything relating to you fucking his baby sister, you’re gonna—”

“I get it,” I said, not letting her finish. “I’ll talk to Flea.”

  “Thank you.”

  “After coffee,” I said.

“Now. You’ll do it now,” she countered.

I slid my hand to her neck. “Cricket, have you seen him?”

  “No.”

“No. Exactly. He’s probably balls deep in his woman right now, so I will find him after coffee.”

She wrinkled her nose. “Why do you always have to take it there?”

“Because everything’s better balls deep,” I retorted.

She let out another growl. “Minus.”

“I’ll go find him,” I said with a sigh.

  “Thank you.”

I headed back into the kitchen, grabbed the biggest mug in the cabinet, and went about making my man a cup of coffee. Poppy was no longer in the room, but it looked like she’d pulled out bagels and cereal for everyone, so I grabbed a couple of bagels and dropped them in the toaster oven.

Maisie walked in...just before Minus, so I bit my lip and gave him a questioning look. He patted his cut over his heart and I relaxed. He must have the files in his inside pocket. Thank God.

  “Morning, Cricket,” Maisie said.

“Hi, Maisie. Poppy made coffee,” I said, handing Minus the mug I’d made for him.

“I love my girl,” Maisie said, and grabbed a cup out of the cabinet.

Minus leaned down and kissed me gently. “Thank you.”

  “You’re welcome. Bagels are toasting.”

  “Even better.”

We grabbed our breakfast and made our way to the great room where we snuggled on the oversized sofa and ate while our friends and family came down in various stages of wakefulness. It was cold and wet outside, so this was pretty much where we stayed until lunchtime, then I helped the rest of the women prep lunch while the men helped the Bikers for Kids with toy procurement.

  Wolf

  “You have a collec
t call from an inmate at Columbia River Correctional Institution. Do you agree to accept the charges?”

  “Yes,” I said.

There was a brief pause followed by a few pops and clicks before the automated voice returned. “I’m sorry, I didn’t hear your response. Do you agree to accept the charges?”

“Yes, motherfucker,” I shouted into the phone. I was in a Fred Meyer parking lot in Troutdale, using a burner phone. More old-school demands from an out of touch President on his way out.

“You have agreed to accept the charges. Please hold while you are connected to your party. As a reminder, all calls are recorded and may be monitored at any time. Any discussion of illegal activity is prohibited by law.”

I hated these weekly meetings. The prison recorded every conversation, so we couldn’t talk business. Any real information came from the lawyer, which came straight from Char. These little chats always felt more like the old man letting me know who was really in charge.

“Are you using a burner?” Char barked, as soon as we were connected.

  “Yeah.”

“You gonna destroy it when we’re done?”

“What is this? Mission Fuckin’ Impossible?”

“Don’t get cute with me, just do what you’re told,” Char growled.

“Yeah, boss, got it,” I conceded.

“You make sure Roth put money in my commissary account?”

“What the fuck is the point of askin’ me if the lawyer did his job?”

“Because I’m also asking him if you’re doing yours. If I don’t have you two checkin’ up on each other how the hell am I gonna know if you’re doing what the fuck I tell you to do?”

“I don’t know, Char. Maybe you could trust me,” I ground out. “You know, since you went through all that trouble of making me the club’s President.”

“Shit, if I went around trusting people, I’d be dead.”

  “Fair point,” I replied.

“Besides, you’re only acting president and don’t fuckin’ forget it. I brought you in to run things on the outside because I couldn’t trust anyone in my club anymore. Someone set me up, and I just can’t be one hundred percent about anything anymore.”

I didn’t know if Char was overly cautious from a life of crime or if meth had made him totally paranoid. Maybe there had been a rat in the club that got him locked up. I wasn’t sure, but I knew one thing for sure. The Spiders were currently pest free, and every member had gone through the flames when I took the head seat.
