  Vidar (VEE-dar)—Son of Odin. He is destined to avenge his father’s death at the Ragnarok by slaying the Fenris wolf, and he will survive the Ragnarok.

  The Wolf Age—The sequence of events immediately preceding the Ragnarok during which Sköll swallows the sun, Hati mangles the moon, and the Fenris Wolf runs free.
