“Your words might make me come before you even touch me,” he croaked.
“So,” I sat back on my heels, hands in my lap, looking peaceful and pliant before him, “you’re in charge of whether I get your dick for my pleasure, but am I in charge of how else to please it?”
“Please it?”
I reached for his button, popping it open without a single protest from the man “in charge.”
“You’re learning me, but I’m learning you, too.”
“And how do you want to learn me?”
I yanked down his zip and reached inside, pulling out my long, thick, fully erect prize. “First, I want to tell you what I’m thinking while you show me how you like to be touched.”
I stroked him once, root to tip, watching his eyes roll back in his head and the vein throbbing in his neck. “And second?” his eyes snapped back open, locking with mine, sending a jolt of pleasure coursing through my body and landing between my legs where his fingers had just touched.
“We’ll see.” I smiled mischievously.
“You’re an evil genius.”
“Isn’t that half the fun?”
“Fuck yeah.” He replaced my hand with his, slowly gliding his fist up his length—tighter than I’d done it.
Noted.
“When you pushed inside me I saw stars.” My voice grew deeper, huskier with each word. “I thought you were going to split me in two.” His fist pulled up and over his head with a flick. “Your cock is so big, so thick…I didn’t think it would fit inside me…but you did.” His fist pumped faster. “I don’t think I’ve ever had anything that big inside me before.”
His eyes flicked up and locked with mine. “Oh, you’ve done it now.” His arm swept out and suddenly I was on my back again. “Let’s see what you can fit.”
I gasped as his finger slid inside me. He’d gotten me going, but it was the way he reacted to my dirty talk that really got me wet. I took his finger easily and practically begged for more. He leaned over me, one hand inside me and one beside my head, bracing his body beside mine, eyes watching every reaction.
“More,” I gasped.
Without a word he slid in a second finger. This time I felt it. The stretch, the pleasure. And the insatiable need to beg for more of that look in his eyes. He really responded to the visuals—much more than I’d thought. His eyes roamed hungrily over every naked inch of me from my eyes to his fingers as they moved in and out.
In and out.
Working me higher.
“I wasn’t too much for you last night?” His voice was deep. Desperate.
I shook my head, thrusting my breasts up to his lips. “No.”
“No?”
“Just out of practice.”
“Out of practice,” he choked out as he wrapped his warm mouth around my nipple.
Oh the things I could do to this man with words and my body. The possibilities were endless.
His tongue swirled around and around my nipple and my inner muscles rippled for more.
“Watch, Darcy. Watch yourself put in a third. Please?” I made my voice a little needier than usual, hoping it would break him.
It did. His shoulders shuddered and he raked his teeth up the full length of nipple. Then he inched down just enough to see as he pulled his fingers free of my body and created a new formation with his fingers.
One.
Two.
Three.
At first he swirled them, then he pushed. It was almost too much, but not quite, so I kept silent, instead panting loudly and moaning while I waited to adjust to this new invasion.
I wanted to do anything and everything to keep that look of awe on his face.
“Fuck, Nik. This is so beautiful. The way you open up for me…”
Apparently his words did amazing things to me, too, because my whole being shuddered under his praise and his fingers melted inside me on a slick of pleasure.
“Oh babe…” I moaned as he filled me.
He sucked in a gasp. “I wish you could see this.”
But I didn’t need to see it. Right in front of me was what I needed. That dark look, those hooded eyes, that need. This was everything. “This feels so good, Darcy.”
“You’re making a liar out of me Nicki Sutherland.”
“How’s that?” I asked a split second before his mouth came crashing back down over my nipple, sucking hard.
He didn’t reply. He played me, instead. Got me so high, so wet, so ready I was willing to do absolutely anything to stay perched up on this ledge of insanity. I never wanted to come down, not even for a promise of multiple orgasms.
“How far have you gone, Nicki?”
“How far?”
“We’ve both been wild. Tell me what you like. What was your best orgasm? I’ll give it to you right now, no matter how you need it.” His voice was hoarse and I realized he felt exactly the same way I did.
Dirty. Needy. Wild.
We were both junkies, I just didn’t realize it until right then. I knew Darcy had lots of sex with lots of women. What I didn’t know until I saw that oh so familiar look in his eyes was that he got high on it.
Kind of like I didn’t realize I could get high on sex until I was with Darcy.
“I don’t remember most of the sex I’ve had,” I confessed.
That snapped some of the glassy look out of his eyes. “Oh.”
But I didn’t want to turn him off or to have this high come crashing down around either of us. So I told him what I thought would make us both happy.
“The best orgasm of my life was the other night, with you stretching me so wide I had no choice but to come around your cock.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah. Can I sit on your lap and ride you?”
The shudder that raced down his body was the sexiest thing I’d ever seen. He slowly stood up and stripped out of his clothes, then rolled on a condom, all while I kept touching myself. Two fingers gliding in and out so easily along the soft velvet of my core.
He sat down on the bed, back to the headboard, and waited while I straddled him.
“You’re sure?” he asked as I gripped him and sank down.
I moaned in reply, taking him in. In, in, in. Then rose back up to his tip. He stopped me there and slid his fingers back inside for several quick strokes, touching me right where I needed him.
He licked one of his fingers with a wicked gleam. “One night—maybe not for the next week—but one night soon when we’ve gotten over this need to be together, I’m going to eat you out all night long.”
That sent a quiver of longing through me, causing my inner muscles to dance as I slid down along his shaft, filling myself to full. This time, thanks to his warm-up, it was a pleasant stretch.
“You want to spend all night between my legs, Darcy Higgins?”
He held up his very wet, unlicked finger and smiled. “This tastes like the sweetest nectar. I crave it. I’m going to fucking dream about it all night and want to lick you awake tomorrow morning, except you won’t be here so I’ll be sad and lonely and just have to use my hand to start my day.”
I rose back up on my knees, riding him slowly, letting the stretching and filling do the work of pleasuring us both.
“Yes, Nicki. Yes…” he moaned into my shoulder, massaging my breast. I rode him slowly because the pleasure was too much otherwise. It shot upward along my spine and rocketed downward to my core, sending ripples along his cock until we were both panting and moaning on the cusp of toppling over.
“Come for me Nicki. I want to feel you come apart.”
I rode him faster but my orgasm stayed just beyond my reach.
He moaned and his hips jerked out of rhythm with mine, a sure sign he was close. “I’m so full, Darcy. So full. Of you.” I whispered in his ear. I was desperate to watch him lose control.
The vein in his neck throbbed with each beat of his heart. He clenched his jaw tight, his shoulders bunching as he fought it back.
“Lo
ok at me, Darcy,” I demanded.
His eyes locked with mine.
“I want to feel you come inside me with your great big, giant cock. The one that’s splitting me in two.”
He let out a deep yell, his hips jerking up, his arms tightening as he came. I stilled as he pulsed, locking our bodies together while he came down off his high.
He ran his hand up my back and into my hair. “You didn’t come.”
“No,” I whispered.
“Let’s fix that,” he panted.
I arched an eyebrow. “How do you plan on doing that after everything we’ve already tried? Maybe tonight’s not my night.”
His eyes flared. Sending out a challenge to Darcy was dangerous—I needed to remember that. “You will come, Nicki. So help me, God.”
And then he lifted my nipple to his mouth and bit down gently, holding it hostage between his teeth as he took that same hand from my breast and slid it between us, searching for my swollen and overwhelmed clit.
Suddenly my orgasm wasn’t so elusive. Suddenly I was very overwhelmed by the reality that Darcy wasn’t the kind of man who was easily discouraged. At least not when it came to me. And that, combined with the look of adoration in his eyes and his still-hard cock buried deep inside me, sent me right over the edge into an oblivion I never wanted to escape.
Not if it meant coming back to reality.

Reality was a dish best served cold when it came to Father. I knew it was a matter of time before Ian’s sudden exit from my life was addressed so I wasn’t surprised when a car was sent to retrieve me for an unscheduled meeting.
“Ian is gone,” he announced before I took my seat in his spacious office. The antique desk dominated the room filled with oriental rugs, plush curtains, and mahogany bookcases.
“What do you mean, gone?”
He arched an eyebrow. “Do not act like you don’t know anything. You’re not stupid, Nicole.”
“I know he passed out at my show,” I said simply. “That is the extent of my knowledge.”
“You also know it was Mrs. Brighton who found him passed out drunk.”
I conceded that point with a nod.
“The bartender confirmed that Ian single handedly finished off that bottle of scotch and one of the wait staff admitted that he’d groped her in the catering kitchen.”
The surprise on my face was absolutely genuine. I was going to have to thank Darcy for that one later. I had no idea how he’d managed to bribe the bartender and waitress without my father finding out.
“Well then I’m glad he’s gone.”
“This isn’t about his extra curricular activities. I could care less how many women he keeps or how much he drinks, but I absolutely cannot have you associated with a drunk. Sloppiness is a sin.”
What he really meant was that he couldn’t have my new image as an up and coming artist with a Goth side tarnished by my actual past: drug addict who overdosed in the family drug den. Rumors of Ian’s alcoholism were all over our social circle thanks to Mrs. Brighton’s loose lips.
“I understand, Father.”
“You’ll lay low for a few weeks, give this time to die down before you start making appearances again.”
Fine by me. I could spend those weeks in bed with Darcy. “Of course. I’ll paint. I have a long list of commissioned work to start on.”
“Of course.” Father waved his hand at me. “You have your work to distract you. This is good. It will give me time to find you a suitable replacement.”
“Replacement?” I tried to act like I wasn’t panicking but I was. Theo told me I had a year. But then again, my father wasn’t stupid.
He smiled. “Of course. You’ll need to date for a couple of months before the engagement. All said and done that should get us to the deadline right on time.”
Evil bastard. “Of course, Father. Will I be allowed to help choose my next victim?”
“No. I’ll send for you when I’ve decided.” Then he looked down at his work, effectively dismissing me.
“Yes, Father.”
I rose out of the chair and quietly padded to his office door. My hand had just wrapped around the knob when he called out, “And Nicole, don’t do anything stupid like try to leave the country. I’m watching you.”
Dread flooded my veins, turning them to ice. “Yes, Father.” I opened the door and bolted for the car. I needed to escape and right now the only safe place was Darcy Higgins’ bed.
* * *
I watched with wild fascination as Darcy traced a single line from my ankle to my thigh. In the last two weeks we’d spent at least part of every single day together. Every time I disappeared between his sheets I felt like I was slipping out of the real world and into a fantasy.
I think that was the problem. I’d disconnected my life with Darcy from everything else. You can’t do that and expect anything good to come of it. Unfortunately neither of us was particularly good at figuring our lives out.
“I wish I knew how to paint,” he murmured as he traced an identical line down my other leg. “I’d paint you, over and over again.”
Happiness bloomed inside me and, just like every other day, I yearned for more of his praise. It was feeding an insatiable beast inside me. A beast I didn’t even know existed until Darcy fed it.
It was powerful and in the quiet moments I spent alone, it terrified me.
“You have a camera. You should take pictures.”
His fingers froze and his shoulders stiffened. “I could,” he said slowly, “but I don’t want Donald to ever have anything over you. Pictures of you sex-drunk in my bed would probably give us away.”
He didn’t look at me as he said any of that, but I knew if I could, I’d see real fear in his eyes. It was good to know Darcy had finally come to understand exactly how dangerous Father was, but I hated that look.
It made me feel weak again. Or, maybe, it just reminded me I wasn’t dealing with reality and reality had no place in my life with Darcy. “No pictures of my face, then.”
He sighed, then hauled himself up beside me, taking my face in his hands. “No pictures at all. Maybe one day, after we get you out of here, but not now.”
I took a mental snapshot of this moment, determined to paint it for Darcy. It probably wasn’t what he saw in his mind—me naked between the sheets. Instead I was going to paint this moment. His body beside mine. His hands holding my face and his lips murmuring words of love and determination.
“If I get out of here,” I reminded him.
“You’re getting out. We’re working on your passport right now.”
With a little help from Darcy and Theo’s old connections we were able to buy a house outside of Milan with my new identity. Cassidy Jones was going to live a quiet life in a quiet village…as soon as the rather important details of new paperwork were sorted out. Theo was using his technical skills to make sure my money was transferred into accounts my father couldn’t touch and that I’d legally be able to travel when needed.
As soon as it was all in order we’d arrange my secret travel out of the country and away from Father’s grip. We were close, but not close enough.
My father’s words kept echoing in my head. I’m watching you. Don’t do anything stupid.
“I want to talk about something else.” I abruptly changed the conversation. “Tell me about working for my brother. Is he awful?”
Darcy smiled and flopped back onto the bed. “It’s like old times. We’ve worked side-by-side forever now. I don’t particularly like the idea of being an overpaid bodyguard, but until he finds someone we can trust, I’m the only one who can do the job.”
I rolled over to lean on his broad chest. “And then?” It was driving him quietly bonkers that he wasn’t using his brain as much as he’d like. Darcy was smart and had a knack for running numbers—the kind of knack that made him a good gambler.
And Darcy was very much a gambler.
He reached up and ran his fingers through my hair.
“And then I’ll run whatever department he needs me to run until I save enough money.”
“Enough money for what?”
His eyes dropped to my lips, then my breasts. “To start up a quiet business in a quiet town with the most beautiful woman in the world.”
My heart skipped a beat. “What kind of business?”
“Does it fucking matter?”
Yes? No? I couldn’t think straight anymore. “Why doesn’t it matter?”
“All I want is you, Nicki. You safe. I’ll do whatever I have to do to stay beside you.”
He said it like a vow. My heart skipped another beat. “We’ve been dating for two weeks, Darcy. Aren’t you putting the cart before the horse?”
“Are you asking if I’ve thought about how fast we’re moving?” He furrowed his brow in confusion.
“Well,” I drew circles through his light dusting of chest hair, “yes. Don’t guys hate commitment? Don’t you want to see how long you can drag this out before you have to pop the question—if you even want to go that far? Maybe we’ll be together a few months and you’ll realize this isn’t what you want at all—”
I was on my back with a very angry Darcy Higgins above me. “You make me sound like an asshole! Like you expect me to leave you. Like I’m taking you on as some sort of burden. What the hell Nicki?”
I suddenly felt very small. I’d meant what I said, but I hadn’t really heard what I’d said at all. And in all that, I never heard my own words: you’ll get sick of me. You’re afraid of commitment. I’d put all my eggs in Darcy’s basket and handed it to him to hold. My needs, my feelings didn’t matter to me, apparently. I wanted him to choose me and I’d taken my power entirely out of the equation.
I really wished I’d been able to see that earlier.
“I don’t know?” I answered quietly.
“Do you think I’m lying when I say I want to be with you?” There was a strained quality to his voice—like he was desperate.
I was so confused. “I think you want to be with me. I just know that men want lots of things.”
“Women. You mean women, not things.” He sat back swearing as he ran his fingers through his hair. “Although in your life women are things, I suppose. Fuck, Donald has done a number on you.”
