by Charlotte Lamb

  A WORD ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Charlotte Lamb was born and raised in London's East End. To this day she remains at heart an unswerving Londoner, although for the past several years she has lived on the rain-swept Isle of Man in the Irish Sea. Charlotte likens the Isle of Man to the setting of Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights and says that all one can see for miles around are "sheep and heather-covered moors."

Charlotte began writing romances in 1970. Her very first attempt was accepted by Mills & Boon, and she has never looked back.

Since those earlier days, she has become amazingly prolific. Always a fast typist, she can now create and commit to paper at least one novel a month! "I love to write, and it comes easily to me," she explains. "My books practically write themselves."

The fact that Charlotte has been married now for more than two decades, and is the devoted mother of five children ranging in age from seven to twenty, immediately brings to mind the question: where does she find the time to accomplish all her excellent writing? "I have a very good housekeeper," she says with a smile…as if that explains everything!
