Altered Chords Page 5

“Hey, asshole!” He stepped towards her ex who shrunk away like a mouse. All three men backed away slowly, and the crowds parted, giving them room. Tyson cocked back his arm. Bria wrapped her small fingers around his bicep, halting his progress. He glanced back at her worried face.

The panic in her eyes seared into him. It was clear she was afraid, but why? Did she think he’d kill the guy? He only planned to hit him once. That would be enough. Okay, maybe twice. “What?”

Nathan beat him to the punch. Literally. His fist connected with the suit’s temple, sending him down. “Don’t ever fucking start a fight you can’t win,” he said, and spat on him for good measure, but Klein was out cold.

Daryl dove into the other two suits, sending them both to the ground. His fists landed in quick succession against their faces. They lifted their hands to shield themselves, but Daryl went crazy, moving too fast for them to keep up. Each blow landed exactly where Daryl intended.

“Stop!” Tyson yelled and grabbed the back of Daryl’s sweat-soaked shirt before the bouncers beat him to it. The band was always drenched after playing.

“I’ve always got your back, Ty,” Daryl said, rising to his feet. “Rock-and-roll is alive and well, boys!” He shook his head, sending drops of sweat in all directions.

“You idiots should have stayed on stage. The last thing you need is more violence at one of your shows.” The reputation they were building wasn’t only for their kick-ass music. Disaster seemed to follow them like a dark cloud.

“No need to thank us. You’re right, we don’t need that, but you don’t need another arrest.” Nathan flexed his hand, checking for any damage. He smiled, satisfied there was none.

“Another… A… are you okay?” Bria asked, taking his face in her hands, capturing his full attention. Her touch revived his deflating cock.

He hadn’t been able to fight, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t fuck. The fight was over and had worked him up. He needed an outlet. Sliding into Bria would be the perfect release. He needed to be inside her if she’d still have him.

“I’m better than okay.” He winked. “Are you still with me?” He took her hand and kissed her palm. The scent of her musk lingered on his hand.

She chewed her lip and nodded. Their hands intertwined, and he pulled her away from the fray. In his peripheral view, he noticed his friends returning to the stage as the bouncers collected Bria’s ex and his minions. He marched forward until they were outside.

The warm air did nothing to cool his jets. He wanted to be inside her in the worst way and judging by the look on her face she wanted him just as much.

They picked up the pace, practically running toward the van like fire nipped at their heels. The old shit-box was the farthest thing from romantic, but Tyson didn’t care. He pushed her against the side and kissed her. His mouth claimed those perfect lips. Sweeter than before with a hint of her release remaining. His fingers twisted in her hair, holding her prisoner. She moaned as he sucked on her tongue.

Those sweet whimpers drove him insane. He fumbled in his pocket for the keys. It was tough to think when all he wanted to do was explore every inch of her. He let go of her, tearing his mouth away to unlock the passenger door and pull it open.

She was breathing fast. Her hot breath warming his back. It made him even hotter. He tore off his shirt and tossed it into the van. He turned to face her, and she didn’t say a damn thing as her eyes consumed him and all the ink. She reached to touch him but held back as if she wasn’t sure she should.

“You can touch me,” he said and pressed her hands against his pecs. His muscles flexed under her palms. “Bria, I promise I won’t bite, unless you want me to.”

The tentative way she moved her hands wasn’t enough. He needed things to move faster. He tilted her chin towards him. Her eyes turned more green than brown. Even with the faint light from the moon and the back door, he could see the mossy flecks. There was something so innocent and real about this woman.

He undid the button on his shorts and halted before lowering them. “Tell me you’re not a virgin.”

Bria smiled, and it made his heart constrict. She was so beautiful. The soft light made her look like an angel until she moved her hands down over his abs and dipped inside his shorts. There was nothing angelic about the way she gripped his cock.

“Not even close.” She wrapped her fingers around him tight. “I want you. Right here and now.”

His breathing was every bit as rugged as hers as she pushed his shorts down. He claimed her lips again. Addictive fucking lips. This girl was trouble and he couldn’t stop himself if he tried. Her grip tightened on his cock as she pumped along his shaft. He undid her shorts, and they fell to her ankles.

“I’m going to fuck you. Hard. Are you ready?” He needed to make sure she wanted this. There could be no misunderstandings.

She nodded and let go of his cock so she could take off her shorts. He picked her up and tossed her onto the seat. His eyes roamed her shaved pussy and the wetness glistening between those lips. She was more than ready. He groaned as he gripped her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the seat, facing him.

“Use one of these.” She reached into her purse and passed him a condom.

He tore open the foil and sheathed his cock before lining up. Tyson smiled as she opened her legs wider, inviting him in. “Wrap your legs around me and hold on.”

Nothing stood in their way. Her legs wrapped around his waist, drawing him close and he pushed inside. She clung to his shoulders, her eyes wide open and on him. He covered her mouth and kissed her.

There was no finesse. One hard thrust and he buried himself balls deep in the tightest, wettest place on earth. She screamed as he bottomed out, but their kiss muffled the sound. Their eyes stayed locked, exposing them both. It was an openness he’d never experienced before, and he liked it.

This woman kept surprising him, daring him to do more, be more. Where had she been all his life? He’d promised himself he’d avoid trouble, but as he stared at her, he knew it would be impossible. Screw the consequences. Trouble had never felt so good.

  CHAPTER SEVEN

  Bria ♥

N ever had sex been so visceral. They weren’t even in the van, not really. His feet were firmly planted outside and her ass perched barely on the passenger seat. Only once in high school had she tried sex in a car. The back seat in a secluded parking spot with no one around for miles didn’t compare to her current situation. There hadn’t been even a remote chance of getting caught. What they were doing was not secluded or hidden. They were fucking in public.

Anyone who happened by would know what they were doing, and she didn’t care. His bare ass was on full display and it added to her excitement. All her inhibitions fled around this man. The part of her that cared what people thought seemed to disappear. She smiled, adjusting to his girth. The only thing that mattered was getting closer to him.

The way he’d handled her ex thrilled her. She’d been petrified of what Klein would do if he found her. Anything was possible based on the wild threats he’d issued the last time they spoke. But this stranger protected her. He’d made an enemy of a very powerful man and didn’t seem to care. At that exact moment, neither did she.

Once her hands touched his skin, all bets were off. Hot and smooth. His body was covered in black ink. She’d seen the sleeves earlier in the day and admired the designs, and his chest was even more complex. One massive work of art. A man of many talents, she was learning. The sensations he evoked with those big hands still caused her shivers.

First, she’d let him kiss her on a crowded sidewalk. Then fondle and finger her in the middle of a packed dance club. Now, they were having sex in a parking lot. The sounds of people talking and laughing from the main street weren’t that far away. She didn’t care if anyone saw them; she never wanted him to stop.

Her eyes drifted between them to watch him slip in and out of her. His cock was every bit as impressive as she suspected. Long a
nd thick. For a second, she’d been scared it would hurt. She’d never been with anyone so big. Then he’d filled her to the point of pain and she loved it. When he slammed inside her, she welcomed every inch.

Her eyes moved back to his. The heat from his stare could melt the ice caps. The darkness was so enthralling. There was so much pain and excitement within them, she couldn’t look away. She wanted to know everything about him, starting with the way he made love.

Music played in the background, but she couldn’t make out the songs. She was too focused on him. The slow and steady slide of his cock. Each time he filled her, his grip on her ass tightened as if the feel of her walls around him was something to cherish. “Bria… damn woman.”

She squeezed her Kegel muscles, earning a throaty sound from deep within him. It caused her body to break out in goosebumps. Their mouths attacked with the same wicked abandon their bodies had already done.

The late summer heat had cooled in the mountains, but she was on fire. Sweat broke out across his brows as he slammed into her again. Her legs shook around his waist and she moaned into his mouth.

His kisses swallowed her screams of pleasure. He kept moving out slowly and smashing into her fast and hard. It was a delicious combination. His hand lifted her blouse, exposing her lace-covered breasts to the cool evening air. He lowered the cup of her bra and her nipples hardened even more. When his fingers slipped over the puckered tip, she growled and tore her mouth away. She found it impossible to catch her breath.

“You make the sexiest sounds I’ve ever heard,” he said, pinching her nipple, and thrusting his hips. Their foreheads pressed together as his eyes moved down to her breasts. His pupils dilated. There was an urgency to the way he moved.

She followed his gaze to watch the way their bodies became one. The sheen of her arousal coated every inch of him. Her hips matched his thrusts, deepening the connection and chasing an orgasm.

“You like what you see, Bria?” He licked along her jaw to her ear. His lips pressed against the sensitive spot behind her ear.

The sound of her name on his lips made her pulse race faster. “Yes,” she said breathlessly. Her movements were minor, but it sounded like she had run a marathon.

“Tell me what you see. What do you like?”

Her nails dug into his shoulders as his pace quickened. She was so close. “I… Oh, wow.” She tossed her head back as he circled his hips, driving deeper. “I like the way you fill me. The way you move so fast I can hardly see straight.” Her nipples were so hard as he twisted one, sending a wave of need between her legs.

She groaned when he released it. Then his fingers moved over her clit and the stars streaked across the sky as she came. “Right… Oh. Oh. I am coming!” Nothing muffled her screams this time, and it pierced through the quiet parking lot.

The orgasm caused her body to contort and grip him tighter. She yelled the phrase several times as her body quivered. Even her toes shook as she chased the last of the shooting stars.

“Damn! That’s amazing. I can feel your heat splash against my cock and drip down my balls,” he said as he continued to pound into her. His pace never slowed. “I need a different angle. I want to get deeper.”

Her legs were like jelly as he pulled them off his hips. He slipped out of her and she whimpered. She was as loose as a rag doll and let him maneuver her as he wanted. Bria had never come so many times in one day before, and it took its toll. Her strength to stand had diminished greatly.

He turned her over and bent her over the seat. She closed her eyes and let the sensations take over. Her ass was in the air and her legs dangled off the seat. Their feet were both outside, but she didn’t feel the ground under her as he gripped her hips and slammed his way to the root again.

“Yes!” She screamed out for more, yet all she heard was their breathing and moans. The music had stopped. She opened her eyes and noticed flashing lights, illuminating the inside of the van.

Bria bit her lip as the noise level around them picked up. She glanced over her shoulder and several people were rushing outside the bar. They were no longer alone. Either he didn’t notice or didn’t care because he kept thrusting. She didn’t want to stop, but she recognized the next people who walked out of the bar. Her body tensed as her friends, followed by Klein and his goons, came into view.

“Stop,” she whispered, hoping not to draw attention their way. Her hands moved to adjust her bra.

“What’s wrong?” He stopped moving and looked around. “Shit! Get dressed.” He pulled out of her and lifted his shorts.

Bria lowered her blouse and searched for her missing shorts. At least she was somewhat hidden in the van. The crowd only saw his naked backside and not her. She found her shorts on the floor mat and quickly pulled them on. When she looked up again, the members of the band were being hauled out of the bar in handcuffs, accompanied by a pair of police officers.

“Oh, shit. Here we go again,” he said, turning towards the officers.

Again? Her heart raced as she attempted to right her clothing and fix her hair. What the hell was going on.

“Keep your hands where we can see them,” one officer said. He had one hand poised over his gun as the other dangled a pair of steel cuffs.

She zipped her shorts and caught Klein watching her. A smug look on his face as the cops approached. She lifted her hands in the air. This was all her fault. She’d bet money her ex called the police. He’d never leave her alone, and now this man would pay the price for her mistakes.

“What’s the problem officers?” She tried to keep her tone even and sweet. Something her lawyers had taught her recently.

“You can put your hands down now. The manager said you’re with them, is that true?”

“Yeah. Why are they in cuffs?”

“Unruly behavior and disturbing the peace. Those guys are coming with us. We have several witnesses that claim they jumped off the stage and attacked some dancers.” A larger officer with a beer belly and a beard smiled at her. He probably thought she’d be happy that she wasn’t in any trouble.

“What on earth are they being arrested for?” She climbed out of the van and stood next to her stranger, placing her hand on his back.

His body stiffened as the cops stepped closer. “They didn’t do anything. I did. They jumped to help me, but I’m the one who caused the scene. You can leave them alone.”

“They aren’t being arrested. They’re being detained until they sober up. Public intoxication is not allowed around here. I guess you’ll be coming with us too.” The officer slapped a set of cuffs on his outstretched arms and pulled her stranger away.

He didn’t speak a word. Nothing to defend himself and that scared her. He would get carted away then no one would be there to protect her.

“This is absurd. He wasn’t even in the bar.” She followed the officer. “Let me call—”

“Listen, lady, these guys are lucky those men aren’t pressing charges. Mr. Burgess is being very generous given the situation. Public drunkenness will earn them a night in the drunk tank. It could be worse.”

“But Klein started it. He should be arrested!” She stomped her foot. Unfortunately, the officers didn’t respond. They would not believe a bunch of tattooed Rockstars over a well-respected businessman. If his father wasn’t a diplomat none of this would be happening. If only they knew the truth. She wanted to scream it from the rooftops, but she couldn’t. Not yet. Because of Klein’s greed, her perfect stranger was being taken away in handcuffs.

The way he resigned to his fate and the look of defeat on his face shattered her heart. This wasn’t his first run-in with the authorities she’d wager. Except, the only thing he’d done wrong here was mess around with her. She refused to let things end like this.

“Take them away, officers.” Tatianna crossed her arms over her chest. She had it all wrong, but Bria didn’t have the time to explain it. “Bria, Klein came all the way out here to see you. You should at least hear him out.”

>   She shot daggers at her friends before looking back at the cops. “I’m calling my lawyers. If you think Klein has deep pockets, you have seen nothing.” Her fingers flew across the screen as she searched for her father’s number. He’d put a stop to this nonsense.

Her ex stepped next to her, invading her space. “He won’t get here in time.” His hand landed on her shoulder, making her jump. “Put the phone away or I’ll press charges and get your boyfriend and his heathens locked up for a good long while. You know I can. Don’t test me.”

“He never touched you.” Her voice quivered as his breath danced over her shoulder.

“But he touched you. And you’re mine.” He faced her and leaned in close. “Agree to drop the lawsuit and I’ll make this all go away,” he whispered in her ear. His fingers caressed her cheek.

The heat from his mouth and his touch made her stomach roil. “That’s impossible. I… I can’t do that.” The closed court case was already in front of the judge. The verdict due anytime. She should have stayed home, and none of this would have happened. A few more days and it would have been over.

“Anything is possible.” He leaned in for a kiss and she pulled away, making him laugh. It was such a sinister and evil sound, like nails on a chalkboard. “We will be together again. Nothing will stop that.”

“You’re demented and sick in the head. I’ll file a restraining order if that’s what it takes. Soon enough, you’ll be the one behind bars. Take your threats and shove them up your ass, Klein!” Her teeth were grinding as she spoke, and she ripped his hand off her shoulder. “We will never be together again.”

His smile broadened, faker than a plastic Christmas tree. “Did you wrap those big lips around his cock and beg him to come? Did you let him rub his balls all over your face and ask for more? When you look at your body, remember who owns it. There isn’t a spot I didn’t claim.”

His words made her sick. Her eyes filled with tears, but she wouldn’t let him see her cry. This man had professed his love for her and she gave him everything. She gave him her heart and her body, but it had all been lies. A sick and twisted game where she was the pawn. “Stop. Please, stop this.”
