“I’m deadly fucking serious, Kitten.”
I stare into his sparkling silver eyes, the blue vanished with his hunger. His abs jump when my knuckles brush them as I undo his button and help push his pants down over his hips.
One second he has his length in his hand and the next I’ve been lifted higher against the wall at my back and I feel him pressing against my entrance.
I brace myself for his invasion, knowing that it’s probably going to hurt like last time, although I hope not quite as bad.
“Relax, Kitten. It’s just me,” he says softly, his palm cupping my cheek and his thumb gently caressing my skin. It’s totally at odds with his attitude only moments ago. I guess being on the verge of sex does that to a guy.
I take a deep breath and slide my fingers into his hair, knocking his backward cap to the floor in the process.
His lips find mine at the same time he drops me down onto him.
It burns, but it’s nowhere near as bad as I remember.
A groan rumbles up from the back of Kyle’s throat, the sound is so damn sexy and mixed with the knowledge that I’m the one who caused it helps me to forget the bite of pain as he pulls out.
“Okay?” he asks through gritted teeth, and I can’t help but swoon.
He likes to make out he’s all vicious and demanding, but once you peel back that hard outer shell, he’s just the sweet boy I remember. The one who would always share his chocolate with me when my own brother would scoff, leaving me with nothing.
“Yeah.” My fingers twist in his hair and I drag his lips to mine as he begins to fuck me.
It’s rougher than last time, my shoulder blades smarting against the rough wall behind me, but feeling him moving inside me, hearing the quiet groans of pleasure that rumbled up his throat, is fucking everything.
“Oh God, Kyle,” I moan, tipping my head back as I begin to get closer. His lips attack my neck, sucking and biting, the pain only adding to the pleasure shooting around my body.
“Come, Kitten. Let me hear you scream my name.”
“Oh shit.”
He slips his hand between us and pinches my clit, that extra sensation is exactly what I need to send me flying over the edge.
Seconds later, he drops his head into the crook of my neck before his cock jerks violently inside me.
His hot breath fans across my collarbones and sends goose bumps racing across my skin.
“Come to mine after school. We’ll do your next tutoring session.”
“You want me to come to yours to do math?” I ask incredulously.
“That, and other things.”
“I should say no,” I tell him honestly.
“Yeah, you probably should. Hell, you can if you want, but you’re still going to find yourself in my bedroom after school with your clothes on my floor.”
“Jesus, Ky.”
“Go on,” he encourages. “Tell me no. Tell me you don’t want that.”
“I… um…” His hand wraps around my throat once again and I have to fight not to sigh with contentment. It’s fucked-up, but I’ve never felt safer than when I’m in his hands like this.
His eyes widen and his brows rise as he waits.
“I passed a math test yesterday,” I blurt out, no longer able to contain my smile.
“Okay, wow. That wasn’t what I was expecting but… well done.”
“I… I couldn’t have done it without you,” I admit. “Mr. Wilson put the questions in front of me and it was like I could hear you telling me how to do it.”
“Yeah?” he asks, his own smile beginning to emerge.
“Yeah, so… thank you.”
Suddenly the silence around us is broken by the sound of a group of kids walking past the classroom door and it’s like a bucket of ice water is thrown over both of us.
Kyle lowers me to the floor before pulling his pants up and reaching for his cap.
“We should go and get food,” I say, aware that I’ve still not answered him about after school. Part of me doesn’t want to, just to see what he’s going to do.
We walk toward the cafeteria together side by side. No words are said, but I guess that’s an improvement on most of the time we’ve spent together while under this roof so I’ll take it. He waits for me when I take a detour to the bathroom to clean up and gives me a killer smile which makes desire curl in my belly when I emerge.
We grab a tray each and get some lunch before dropping down on opposite sides of the team’s table.
“You found her at last then?” Zayn asks Kyle, which immediately piques my interest.
“You were looking for me?” I ask, hoping to make him sweat under my brother’s scrutiny. Mean? Maybe. But I don’t give a shit. He’s sure done worse to me.
“What?” I hiss at Ruby when she elbows me to get my attention.
My eyes meet hers but she doesn’t say anything, instead, she flicks a look to my neck before covering her own with her hand.
My brows pinch together in confusion. But then the image of Kyle sucking on my neck only minutes ago in that classroom hit me and I immediately copy her move, covering my neck.
I twist away from Zayn a little more before lifting my wrap to my mouth.
“Yeah,” he finally says. “I needed to know something about that English lit paper we were given.”
“Oh yeah, what was that?”
A knowing smirk plays on his lips. He knows exactly what I’m doing.
“It’s fine. I found someone else to ask. I… uh… can’t remember her name, but that really hot blonde that sits at the front of class. She was more than willing to help.”
I smile at him, hoping to hell that my true feelings aren’t written all over my face as I say, “Oh, yeah. I bet she did,” and roll my eyes so hard they actually hurt.
I swear everyone sitting at the table holds their breath as they wait for him to say something in response.
“Yeah, she had a real tight—ow,” he complains, reaching under the table to rub at whatever that was, from the smirk on Ruby’s face I’m assuming it was her shoe. “I was going to say understanding of what we had to do.”
“Course you were.” I roll my eyes and turn to Ruby, severing our connection. For now at least.
Sitting so far away from him for the rest of lunch but feeling his stare burning into me makes the time drag. It’s no different as I sit in chemistry watching Ruby and Ash flirt in front of me knowing that I’ve got history with him next period.
I know he’s going to bug me about going to his place after school, and although I already know that it’s going to happen, I’ve come to terms with the fact I’m not going to be able to refuse, he doesn’t need to know that.
He’s already in his seat waiting for me when I finally make it to the other side of the school to our history class.
“I thought you were skipping on me,” he whispers as Mr. Anderson starts the class.
“I considered it.”
“Oh yeah?”
“Yeah. I like playing hide and seek.” I flip my book open ready to get started, refusing to look at him despite the fact I know he’s staring at me.
His hand skims down my back before his fingers tuck under the waistband of my skirt, the heat of his skin burning mine.
He leans over, his breath tickling down my neck.
“You seem to forget that I always win.”
“Who said that wasn’t my intention?”
His growl makes my entire body tingle.
“Oh, Kitten, we’re going to have such fun tonight.”
“I’ve got cheer practice.” My argument is weak, I know that, but it’s all I have.
“And I’ve got a conditioning session. It’s like fate.”
“Yeah, if you believe in that shit.”
“You don’t?” he asks, shocking me so much I actually turn to look at him.
“You do?”
“Maybe. We’ll just have to wait and see if fate lands you in my lap later.”

Fucking hell,” I mutter, trying not to show how much I like the banter between us when we’re not trying to kill each other.
“So… tonight, my bed, you in?”
“You’re going to need to make it sound a little more tempting than that.”
“Hmmm… okay.” He shifts his chair a little closer, so he can whisper in my ear and his hand slips around to grip onto my hip. “My bed, me naked, you coming… again, and again… and again.”
Holy shit.
My thighs clench as he growls out those words so roughly all my hairs stand on end.
“I’ll think about it.”
He chuckles, sitting back in his seat before we get caught and end up in detention together instead of his bed.
“You have got some explaining to do. The scarf yesterday and then that fresh one at lunch,” Ruby says, helpfully pointing out the love bite in question, just in case Stella or any other member of the squad who care to be listening to us as they get ready for practice.
“Do we really have to do this now?”
“Just tell me it was him?” Ruby raises a knowing brow. She really doesn’t need me to tell her the answer, she already knows.
“Yes. It was him.”
“Oh my God,” she squeals and starts clapping like a baby seal. “This is so exciting. He was freaking out when he couldn’t find you yesterday.”
“What? Why?” I ask, my brow furrowing.
“No idea, he wouldn’t say.”
“Come on, ladies. Get moving,” Chelsea barks when she walks in and sees us standing around gossiping.
Ruby winks at me before turning around to get changed telling me that this is only the beginning of this discussion.
Thankfully, since we were runner-up at nationals a few weeks ago, Chelsea has let up on practice and we’re spending our time perfecting new routines and moves. We’ve still got a few weeks until tryouts and welcoming new members to our squad so mostly we’re just enjoying ourselves.
“Ace’s?” Ruby asks hopefully once we’re back in the locker room getting showered and dressed.
“I… err… can’t. I’ve got a tutoring session.”
“Oh right, is that what we’re calling it these days?” she says, smothering a laugh.
“Well, no, actually Kyle is my tutor.”
“Okay, when did this happen?”
“Last week, I just didn’t confess.”
“Harley Hunter, have you been keeping secrets from me?”
Guilt covers my face and my temperature picks up as she stares at me.
“A little,” I whisper, lifting my hand and holding my thumb and forefinger just a little apart.
She places her hand on her hip and tries her best to look angry but she only lasts a few seconds before she bursts out laughing.
“You gonna spill all before you leave to meet him?”
“Nope,” I say with a smile. “But know this… I’m probably making a huge mistake.”
“Well,” she says, deep in thought. “At least you’re going into it with your eyes open.”
“Yeah, although I have a feeling I’m still about to run face-first into a brick wall.”
“You might not. Look at me and Ash. I’m sure there are plenty that would say we were making a huge mistake.”
“I think your parents probably still are,” I deadpan.
“Oh shush yourself.” She laughs. “Seriously though, you know where I am, yeah? My ears are open.”
“Thank you. Good news though, I passed a math test.”
Ruby’s face lights up, much like I’m sure mine did when I realized that I’d nailed it.
“OMG! That’s awesome. See, maybe all of this might just work out. Crazier things have happened.”
“Yeah, we’ll see.”
“Rubes, can I borrow you?” Chelsea shouts, successfully ending our conversation.
“Coming, boss.”
“Call me, yes?” Ruby’s eyes widen with her demand.
“If I can.”
“On second thought, don’t. Just enjoy him and give me all the details later.” She winks before skipping over to Chelsea.
Knowing that Kyle is with the team right now means I’m in no rush to be ready. We finished early tonight so I know I’m going to have to wait for him.
“You coming to get your car, or are you going straight to his?”
“Straight there. Is it okay if I pick up my car tomorrow maybe?”
“Of course.”
“Thank you. I wasn’t really expecting to be going to his.”
“Really?” she asks with a laugh.
“I hoped I’d be able to put up more of a fight.”
“Girl, sometimes, it’s just not worth it. Reap the reward for putting up with his ass.”
“You’re nuts,” I say, dragging my skirt on.
“Only way to be.” I shake my head at her craziness. Who am I to judge on how she gets by after being forced to move so much. “Have you found out why he was so freaked out about not knowing where you were yesterday?”
“Other than him being an asshole and a control freak?” I ask.
“Yeah, other than that.”
“Nah. He was just being… Kyle.” I shrug, not thinking anymore into it.
“Okay. Ready to head out?” Most of the girls have already left, thanks to my slow ass, but Stella hung back with me. For someone who claims to not make friends, she’s a pretty good one.
“Yep, let’s go.”
A couple of the guys from the team walk ahead of us down the hallway and I can’t help looking over my shoulder to see if Kyle is about to sneak up on me any minute. But he never does.
The second we’re in the lot though, I know he’s still here because his car is one of the only ones left.
“You want me to wait with you,” Stella offers.
“No, you take off. I’m sure he won’t be long.”
“Sure?”
“Yes, go.”
“See you tomorrow.”
I wave her off and watch as she walks to her car. I do the same but toward Kyle’s Volkswagen.
I find myself a seat on the hood and pull out my cell.
I’m scrolling through Instagram when some movement in the trees to my right catches my eye. I half expect Kyle to jump out and scare me half to death. But as I keep scanning the tree line, I don’t see anything or anyone.
Feeling ridiculous, it was probably just a cat or something, I focus back on the post I was reading and forget the world around me exists.
The other few cars that were out here are long gone, leaving me alone with Kyle’s car and what I’m assuming is Ash’s bike.
I might not be looking up when the pair of them exit the building, but I don’t need to be. I feel it.
My skin prickles with awareness and my stomach flutters in anticipation.
Lifting my eyes from my cell, I find him staring right at me as he walks this way. Ashton is talking to him, but I’ve got a feeling that Kyle isn’t hearing a word of it.
When they get to Ash’s bike, he slaps Kyle on the shoulder and says something. Kyle nods but his footsteps don’t falter as he continues to close the space between us.
“Hmm… you on the hood of my car. This is a nice surprise.”
“I do aim to please, Mr. Legend.”
A growl rumbles low in his throat as he parts my knees and steps between them, sliding my ass down the hood to get us closer.
“Fuck, Kitten. What am I going to do with you?”
27
Kyle
“Holy shit,” I gasp the second I push the door open and Ash and I step out toward the parking lot.
“Wha—oooooh? Something you need to tell me, man?”
“Something with her waiting for me like that doesn’t already give away?”
“You’re a lucky motherfucker.”
“Err… have you seen your girl?”
“Yes, and I’d prefer it if you didn’t see my girl.”
“Oh fuck off. She’s h
ot and you love it.”
“Yeah, man. I fucking do. Now you gonna go over there and rock her fucking world, or what?”
“We’ve got a tutoring session.”
I don’t look over at him, my eyes are glued on Harley but I know he throws his head back laughing.
“Sure you have. Why do I get the feeling that the only thing you’re studying tonight is her body?”
“Because she needs to not fail math.”
“Damn bro, you’re serious, aren’t you?” he asks as if I might just have sprouted a new head.
I can’t keep a straight face and bark out a laugh. “Partly. We’ll do the math when we’re having a rest.”
“Fuck yeah, man.” He slaps my shoulder and turns to his bike. “Have a good night. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.”
“Which is fucking nothing, so I’m safe.”
“Bro, that hurts.”
“Fucking truth though, ain’t it?”
“Meh.” He mutters something under his breath as I walk away, but with Harley waiting for me like she is, I really don’t care about whatever it is.
The second I’m in front of her, I force her knees apart and slide her down the hood until her legs wrap around my hips.
“Zayn’s already left,” she whispers as I stare down into her dark eyes.
“Don’t care.”
One of my hands slides into her hair and my fingers twist in the length as I pull her head back and capture her lips with mine.
Fuck, she’s too addictive.
My cock hardens against her as I plunge my tongue into her mouth.
I shouldn’t do this here out in the open. It might be empty but there are always eyes in a school just waiting to spread the next bit of gossip, but I can’t stop myself.
I kiss her until we’re both breathless and my need to rip her panties aside and take her right here is almost too much to ignore.
Dragging my lips from her, I trail them across her jaw and down her neck, sucking on the same bit of skin I did earlier, brightening my mark.
“You smell like strawberries,” I whisper against her throat.
It flexes as she swallows. “M-my shower gel.”
I pull back and look at her. Her eyes are hooded with lust, her cheeks bright and her lips swollen from my kiss.
