Selene laughed, "You're a delight." She said, "Thank you, little one. Thank you." She spoke gently, her eyes twinkling in appreciation.
After Selene, a wave of deities arrived, one after the other.
Ariel felt overwhelmed like she could piss herself in any second. Surrounded by so much power and strength, it was like a moment from her dreams.
She was lucky.
She knew it.
She was one of the lucky ones.

Days after the defeat of the witches, a funeral was conducted for all packs and all werewolves that were lost.
They counted the deceased and celebrated their victory along with the arrival of the moon goddess, Selene.
After the morning funeral, where Selene helped every wolf grief over their loved ones and reassured them that they found Elysium, there was a night celebration.
Hades found that this was his chance to speak to Selene.
His stomach was a bundle of nerves. He wasn't nervous of Selene herself per se but was rather worried about the request that he was about to ask.
"Selene..." He called out for her lowly under his breath, as she roamed between her people in the utmost lightness and glee. He knew she would hear him.
Selene looked at him from afar, her eyes finding his own in a matter of seconds. Raising a perfect brow at him in curiosity, he looked towards the mansion, signaling her to follow him inside, away from the people and the crowd.
Stalking towards Aries' study room, he chanted lowly as he held a lit candle and burnt some salt on it.
"Oh, this must be interesting, if you're scared people will hear us and you have to spell the room." She said, teasingly as she entered the room after him.
"I'm not scared, just cautious." He mumbled grumpily.
"Are you ever not a grumpy ass?" She retorted.
"No. Now quit bugging me, and let's cut to the chase."
"Ooo, I like me some chasing," she jested, nudging him slightly.
Hades rolled his eyes, then breathed in deeply, looking into her eyes all seriousness in his cold demeanor.
"I want a mate," he said lowly.
Selene laughed.
A glare from the god of darkness was enough to shut her up.
"Oh, you-you were serious?"
"Yes, in return for helping free you. I want a mate."
Selene looked at him, long, and deeply in thought, and then finally cracked a little smile.
Clicking her tongue, she nodded, "Alright."
Hades' features morphed into all astonishment, "Really?"
"Yes."
"Just like that."
"Just like that." She beamed before pausing, "Be careful what you wish for Hades. She's a two-headed spear. She'll either save you or be your greatest downfall. I will not be blamed for what will happen then. Am I clear?"
"Crystal."
Selene tapped her perfectly manicured fingers against the sleek mahogany wooden desk, "Do you agree to the terms of our agreement?"
He nodded.
She raised a perfect brow, second doubting her decision before eventually sighing, "Sign here." She ordered as she handed him a shiny silver contract that came out of thin air along with a silver quill.
Hades took in a deep breath before re-reading the last couple sentences.
In the case of the spiraling downfall of Lord Hades, Son of Cronus, The Reign of the Underworld will be transferred to another sibling of Cronus' children to rule as he/she sees fit. Lord Hades will, in consequence, be condemned to a life-sentence rotting in the Styx River.

Now that this was done, all he had to do was find her.

Aries.
A name that sent chills down the spines of every man that lived to tell.
He's charming for sure, has a twinkle in his eyes that can only be described as warmth hotter than sunlight on amber, but don't let that glimmer fool you. For the warmth of his eyes are of a power hungry man. A man who's thirst for blood reigned over empires for centuries before and more centuries to come. Because he was no man. He was a beast. The strongest and most feared beast of all. Pack leaders pleaded at his feet. He killed to feel alive. Feeding on the blood of the defenseless, with no heart. Some say the moon goddess was cross with him and never blessed him with a mate. For who could be a mate to a monster?
~
He was the sun, and she was the moon.
Soaring too close, she burned into a thousand flames.☯

SEQUEL TO ARIES [BOOK TWO OF ARIES]
It's been three years since Selene granted him his wish. Her words of warning engraving themselves in his skull.

She was sin and i was sinful. She was fire and i wanted to be consumed by her flames. She was ruin and i wanted to be ruined. Shaking her hands was like loving the devil, but I didn't care, as long as she loved me the way she loved hell.
Her name was Feyrouz Sullivan.
