"How could they? There is really no link to us. The soldiers, Salacia, my father, they're all dead."
"But the-"
"It's over, Lari. Has been for over a month," Ash put an arm around her shoulders and pulled her close to him. "Now, where are we going tomorrow?"
Lari paused for a moment to think. "Well, we could always visit my father."
"That's right; your father doesn't even know that his little girl is getting married," Ash said with a smile.
"No, and you're not going to spill the beans until I am sure that he is in the right mood to hear it," Lari warned.
"Take away all my fun."
"It's only the beginning."
"Well that's good to know," Ash said slightly worried. "For future reference."
"Let's go to bed," Lari began while placing Smokey on the cushion beside her and standing up. "We're going to have a long day tomorrow."
"Just out of curiosity, what exactly do the words 'only the beginning' actually mean?" he asked while following her up the stairs but stopping once he reached the last one; waiting for her answer.
"Goodnight, Ash!" she called from the room and Ash only shook his head at her answer.
