Tea and Tattoos Page 4

He managed to get out of the blonde's house without making any noise and made his way towards the nearest bus stop so he could go back to his house where his dad and step mother were probably waiting for him.

After five minutes of waiting, the bus arrived and luckily it was almost empty, he wasn't in the mood for people, infact all he wanted was to lock himself in his room and sleep.

After he had payed for his ticket and sat down in one of the many empty seats he looked to the opposite row of seats where a girl was reading a book with headphones in her ears.

He moved a little closer to see her face more clearly because something about her intrigued him, maybe it was the fact that she looked so peaceful, or the way a strand of hair was infront of her face and she didn't make a move to remove it.

The girl felt that someone was looking at her so she paused the song that she was listening to and lifted her eyes from the book, folding the corner to remember where she was.

Her eyes met with the most beautiful emerald eyes that she had started to grow to love, although they weren't full with life and excitement like they had been the day before, this time they were full with sadness and they also looked a little darker.

''Elliot?'' She asked the guy who was still looking at her from the opposite row.

''Desiree?'' He said her name with disbelief as if she wasn't really there but she was just a trick of his hangover, so he got up from his seat and went to sit next to her. He took her small hand in his to make sure that she really was there and smiled when he knew that it wasn't his imagination.

''Are you okay Elliot?'' Desiree asked him.

''Yeah, I'm perfectly fine, why wouldn't I be?'' He told her as he smiled at her.

''I don't know, it's just that you are in the same outfit from yesterday and you smell of alcohol and no offense but you look like hell!'' She told him with concern in her eyes as she slowly lifted her free hand to move back his messy curly hair from his forehead as he watched her every move with careful eyes.

''I just went to a little party with my friends, that's all.'' He told her as she trailed her hand along the side of his face and then rested it back down on her lap, he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed, he liked her touch, but only her touch.

''I see, well I have to go now because we almost arrived at my stop.'' She told him as she started to get up from her seat, but he held her down.

''I'm sorry for the way I reacted yesterday, I promise you I wouldn't act like that again, it was just that Noah reminded me of someone I know, I don't want to lose you because of the way I acted!'' He told her in a hurry.

''It's fine Elliot, I forgive you'' She told him with a kind smile. She couldn't help but think that there was something different with him that day, he seemed...fragile or broken was the best word to describe him.

She looked out of the bus window and saw that they had already skipped her stop, maybe it was a sign that she shouldn't leave him alone at that moment.

''Elliot, if you are not busy I would like to take you somewhere.'' She told him with as she settled back down in her chair.

His eyes immediately looked a little more alive and his crooked smile had returned on his face, he looked more like the guy that she had hung out with yesterday.

''I'm not busy Desiree, we have all the time in the world!'' He told her with a smile.

''Good, I wouldn't mind spending an eternity with you.'' She hadn't realized what she had said out loud until she saw the surprise on his face, she couldn't help but blush and look away from him.

It was probably the nicest thing that someone had ever said to Elliot, he had never been used to compliments or people caring for him. That's why he had gotten used to use people and then leave them without saying another word, like that blonde girl for example. But with Desiree everything was different, she made him feel something that he didn't know that he would be ever capable of feeling.

''Oh, look this is our stop!'' She exclaimed after a few moment of silence as she recognized the street and they made their way together out of the bus after she had thanked the driver.

Elliot couldn't feel help but feel excited about whatever Desiree was going to show him, the spark in her dark brown eyes and the way that she was grinning told him that it was going to be worth it. His dad and step mother could keep on waiting, he didn't care as long as he had her by his side.

  ❝If it's supposed to happen, it will❞

After a few second of silent walking Elliot recognized the street in which they were. At the end of the narrow street with the old buildings on the side he could see the rusty gates of the park in which he used to go to with his father when he was younger, when everything was simple and happy.

''We're here!'' Desiree exclaimed before they started to make their way along the passageway. There were a little autumn leaves here and there and the air was filled with bird song.

Amongst the familiar ambience and her presence Elliot felt a lot calmer and his headache from the hangover started to slowly ease.

''This is one of my favourite places in this town, I used to come here every single day after school with my best friend, I miss her so much!'' She told him with a sad smile on her face. She took his hand in hers once again and led him to the little tree house that was opposite them.

In the wood there was a carved heart with the inscription Desiree + Sofie for ever, which Desiree stroked gently as Elliot watched her thoughtfully.

''What happened to her?'' He asked her, there was no need for her to tell him that something had happened to her childhood friend, the look on her face gave it away.

''We were walking together after school to go back home when a car came speeding towards us. I was in the way so she pushed me to the side and the car hit her instead of me. She was taken to the hospital immediately but she had already died. I can never forget her, she saved my life.'' She told him while she played with a lock of her brown hair.

''Holy shit! That must have been really hard on you!'' He told her as he moved closer to her and wrapped his arm around her. ''But don't worry, she's in a better place now.'' He whispered before he placed a kiss on top of her head.

  ''I hope so.''

After a few second lying together in the same position they heard laughter and chattering coming towards them. After a few moments they saw two mothers with their laughing children as they played in the playground under them.

''You know, when I was younger I used to come to this park as-well with my dad. Who knows maybe one of those day we could have played together.'' He told her with a smile.

''That could have happened, I do remember that there was some guy called Liot that we used to play with. Maybe that could have been you!'' She said as she lifted her head from his shoulder. He could see that the sadness that had been in her beautiful brown eyes had now been replaced with excitement.

''If he was good looking he was probably me.'' He joked as she burst out laughing.

She suddenly started to feel her phone vibrate in her pocket, it was an incoming call.

''I'm so sorry Elliot, but I have to go! I have kept my friend waiting for me at the mall I totally forgot that we were going shopping today!'' She told him in a rush as she picked up her bag from the floor of the tree house and stood up.

''Don't worry about it, do you have my number so we can keep contact?'' He asked her.

''No I don't think that I do.'' She replied.

Five minutes later she was back on the bus with her headphones on and her book on her lap, she prayed that her friend won't be too angry with her. At least she had a lot of stuff that she needed to tell her which would surely make up for her late arrival.

A quarter of an hour later Elliot was opening the front door of his house, he could hear his parent's voices from outside so they mustn't have been in a very good mood.

He tried to make his way up to his room without getting noticed, but his plan did not succeed as he heard his fathe
r clear his throat behind him.

''Were were you young man?'' His father inquired as he looked at him with his arms crossed.

''I was out with my friends, but I'm here now.'' Elliot told him with an annoyed look on his face. He hated being treated like a fucking child.

''Listen-'' His father started to yell at him but he was interrupted by his second wife.

''Leave him be John, he was just having some fun with his friends, there's no need to yell at him.'' The blonde women told Elliot's dad as she placed her hand on his shoulder to try and calm him down.

''Fine, go up to your room Elliot and don't let this happen again!'' He told him a little calmer than before.

Elliot mouthed a thanks to his stepmother who lately had been saving his ass from trouble, altough she still annoyed him, before he continued his way up to his bedroom.

''Where the hell where you? I have been waiting here for an hour!'' Mia practically yelled when she spotted Desiree coming towards her.

''I am so sorry Mia, but I'm sure that you will forgive me. I have so many things that I need to tell you!'' Desiree exclaimed.

Mia's scowl was immediately replaced with a smile.

''You are forgiven, now start talking!'' Mia said as she removed her bag from the opposite chair so her friend could sit down while they talked.

''Well, it's a long story...'' Desiree started.

After ten minutes and countless questions were asked by Mia, Desiree had told her everything from when she has spotted Elliot from her balcony to earlier that morning.

''This sounds like a movie, I can't believe that things like this actually happen in real life! So are you like together now?'' Mia asked.

''No I'm not, have you forgotten about Noah?''

''Oh right that boring asshole, seriously Desiree I don't know why you are still with him after all these years. You deserve much better!''

''I'm still with him because I love him Mia and don't talk about him like that!'' Desiree said.

''I was just saying the truth, but from what you told me Elliot seems much more interesting in-fact if you are not interested maybe-''

  ''No definitely not!'' Desiree interrupted

''So you do like him! This is very interesting I can't wait to see how it plays out.'' Mia said as she nudged her friend. ''Now let's go and buys some clothes!'' She added.

  ☯

After they had been into every shop that there was in the mall and had bought two dresses and a pair of jeans each, they took the bus back home.

''Goodbye Mia, text me so we can meet up soon and say hi to the others for me!'' Desiree said.

''I will, if you need anything let me know sweetie, take care!'' Mia hugged Desiree before she got off at her stop.

Desiree walked along her very familiar street which at that time of year was cover by autumn leaves. It looked like something out of a movie.

''Dessie, you have some food in the fridge, mum and dad will be back at eleven.'' Alice told her sister when she walked through the door. She was watching TV in the living room with a friend of hers.

''Ok, thanks Al. I'm going to be upstairs if you need anything.''

After Desiree had took a quick shower and changed into her pjs Desiree went up to her room so she could sleep after the long day that she had had. Shopping always tired her.

Just as she was about to drift into a peaceful sleep her phone beeped. It was a text from Elliot.

Goodnight Desiree, I hope that you had a wonderful day. I will see you again soon x - E

She quickly typed back a reply and lied her head back on the pillow as she closed her eyes and remembered the events which had took place that day.

❝Nothing is sexier than someone who wants you as much as you want them❞

A few days passed and Desiree's date with Noah had arrived, they hadn't went to one recently so she was feeling a little nervous.

She dressed into a red tight fitting dress and her pair of black stiletto heels, they were going to a posh restaurant so she had to dress up for the occasion.

At seven o'clock she was waiting in the hallway for Noah, he was going to be there at any minute and she didn't like to keep anyone waiting for her. After a few minutes passed she heard the familiar horn of his car so she informed her parents that he had arrived and walked out of the front door.

She walked down the stairs and was surprised to see Noah waiting for her outside of the gate with a bouquet of dark red roses in his hand and wearing a suit, he had never done something like that for her but she had to admit that she liked it because it made her feel special.

''These are for you, sweetheart'' He told her as he handed her the roses and kissed her on her forehead. ''You look beautiful.'' He added as he stepped back to admire her.

''Thank you so much, you look pretty handsome yourself Noah'' Desiree told him with a smile.

''Shall we go now, mademoiselle?'' He said as he opened the black car's door for her and offered her his hand so she could get in.

''We shall, monsieur'' She told him with a smile as she took his hand and got in his expensive car.

  ☯

In about an hour they had arrived at the restaurant, Les Nomades.

'''Welcome to Les Normades, do you have a reservation?'' The hostess who was a happy brunette girl asked them.

''Yes, it's on Hale'' Noah told her with a smile, which instantly made the hostess blush and look down at the floor, avoiding his eyes.

''Follow me this way, please'' She told them as she looked at Desiree with a smile and started to walk towards their table.

On their way Desiree noticed that most of the people where couples but there were some families and groups of friends here and there, the place was packed and it was really beautiful as-well.

They sat down on their table which was situated near a window, whenever they went out to eat they always chose the table near the window because Desiree loved to look outside and sometimes they would watch the people passing by and make up stories about them.

''Would you like some wine while you decided on what to order?'' The hostess asked them with a smile, she was still avoiding Noah's gaze.

''Yes please, can we have a Chardonnay?'' Noah ordered.

''Right away, sir'' And with that she rushed off to get us our wine.

''This is a really nice place'' Desiree told him with a smile as she grabbed the menu and was deciding on what she should choose.

''Yeah it really is and the food looks delicious as-well.'' He replied.

After a few minutes had passed the hostess returned with the wine and asked them if they were ready to order.

''I will have the braised beef short rib, pleasee'' Desiree ordered.

''And I will have the Roasted duck breast, thank you.'' Noah said, and after that we were left alone once again.

They made small conversation while they waited for the food to arrive, apparently a new puppy had arrived at the animal shelter where Noah worked and he was thinking about adopting him, and he was going to graduate soon.

While they were talking about their future together Desiree's eyes moved to a family who had just arrived at the restaurant and her eyes met the beautiful green one's of the guy with the two adults who was wearing a black t shirt and black ripped jeans.
