“Giving up on me so soon?”

I didn’t have time to answer, his mouth moving over mine and I heard the soft moan come out as he kissed me. There were people everywhere around us, but in that moment all of the noise fell away and it was just the two of us. I pushed back after a few moments and smiled up at him. “I’ve been wanting to do that for months.”

“Was it as good as you thought it would be?”

“Better, but it makes me want more.”

  “Good.”

  “Do you want a drink?”

“I thought we were going to find somewhere to be alone?”

  “We are, I just thought…”

“I have already decided to, so there is no need to liquor me up.”

  “Decide to do what?”

  “You.”

  ***

It was almost funny how fast he took me to one of the back rooms and shut the door behind him. His dark eyes took me in as he pulled off his T shirt and showed the hard, rippling muscles underneath. There was no bed in the room, as it turned out to be the laundry room, but as he hoisted me up onto the washer, it didn’t seem to be a problem for either one of us.

His hand pushed my skirt up as his mouth ravaged my own. Leaving my lips, his tongue and teeth start to delight on my shoulders, moving to my neck and a place that just made me shiver next to him. It was happening to fast and even though I was dying for it, I wanted him to slow down and savor it.

Curt was having none of that, sliding my body closer to the edge and closer to his own need. My panties were yanked down my legs when he moved back just long enough to pull them off. Spreading my legs wider, he wedged his body in against me and went back to kissing the special place on my neck that made me go wild. I was hot, wet and so ready for him that I was aching with need. I could feel his hard manhood pressing and pressuring my desires, but he was moving too slow. I was pulled between being overwhelmed and being frustrated that he wasn’t already inside of me. He was making me crazy, it was just that simple.

  “Lower.”

He took my words to mean my chest, yanking down my shirt and bra and sucking in my hard nipples. My eyes closed for a moment, unable to think as his mouth and grinding hips were making me a little mad. Hooking my legs around his waist, I pulled him closer so that he could no longer rub incessantly against me. My hands went to his hard thickness and I squeezed until he growled. It wasn’t enough to feel him next to me, I wanted more than anything to feel the length inside of me. “I meant here.”

His hungry mouth moved away and started to unbutton his pants. I didn’t let him free to do so, needing more than anything for him to hurry up. I was dying for something more. Then he was out and his weight and silken heat was pressed against me and I didn’t have to think anymore. “Yes right there.”

“I was trying to get you ready.”

“There’s no need. I have been ready since you kissed me downstairs.”

As he pushed in against me, Curt felt the wetness that lay hidden inside and eased in several inches slowly with no resistance from my slickened skin. Curt cursed and pushed in another few inches quickly, taking my breath away. It was already more than I had had before, but there was still the need to know that I had all of him. When I whispered to give it all to me in his ear, he did and it made me cry out. It was more than I had thought.

  “Curt!”

He swelled deep inside and made me whimper. I tried to keep myself together, but it was impossible. He felt too good and I was lost in an orgasm that threatened to take my breath away. He started moving inside of me slowly at first and then faster. Each thrust in shook my body and I had to hold on to him tight.

As he started to take me faster, Curt kept pulling my body closer, so he could drive deeper. My ass was barely left on the appliance, now more than anything just hanging off. I had to cling to him tighter and right before I was about to come, he pulled out and then took me off the washer, turning me around and pressing me back down face first on the warm metal.

Curt was no longer slow or gentle, slamming back in as I screamed out my release. It had been just what I needed, but there was no time to recuperate. Curt’s rod speared me over and over again. It hit new and deeper places in the new position, but when I tried to ease him up, his hand went to my lower back and pinned me to take every last inch he had to offer.

I came again and finally felt the quick thrust that told me he was about ready as well. I tightened up as he moved faster, suffocating his length until he groaned behind me, slamming me up against the washer as he filled me full of his thick seed.

He pressed in a couple of more times before his mouth went to my shoulder and bit hard. I jerked and clenched hard. He growled behind me and ripped out, leaving me gasping and empty. I felt his head resting on my back for a moment before he pulled back and I stood up slowly. My legs trembled and as I turned around, he moved in for a kiss. “I knew it would be perfect with you.”

  Chapter 7

  Curt

I had to get a manager the last week before the draft. There was just too much information and people trying to talk to me at once and a manager seemed like a good filter to most of the mess. I had too many things on my mind and Lana was one of the big ones.

I wanted to go local or as local as the team in our state, but they weren’t as excited for me as Texas. Houston would pay twice as much for twice as long and it was by far the best deal. I wouldn’t have minded going to Texas, but I wanted to see what happened with Lana. When I mentioned this to Leo my new manager, he just looked at me like I was crazy.

“You can’t give up your career already for a female. Do you know how many women are going to be throwing themselves at you, trying to get a piece of what you got?”

I shook my head. I did know and that was one of the main reasons that I wanted it to be Lana by my side. She had several more years of school though and I didn’t know if she would move all the way to Texas. It was a lot to ask someone without some guarantee of forever. While I may have been ready to take the plunge, I didn’t think that she was ready. If I asked and she wasn’t, I would have gone too far and there is no going backwards in a relationship. I hadn’t even asked her to go out with me officially, let alone moving in together across the country and marriage.

He was looking at me with that superior, you are just a dumb kid look and I shook my head again. “That is why I want to stay. She was there before the money and all of the rest. That’s how you know it is real, Lana is different.”

Leo wasn’t going to argue with me, but it was almost like he was just going with it. I realized he had to. He worked for me as it were. “It doesn’t matter my reasons, they are mine. What matters is that you get me a better deal with Charleston.”

“I will do what I can, but they already have two quarterbacks on contract for three more years. Unless someone gets injured, there isn’t going to be a whole lot of need for you.”

I knew that, I had seen the same information that he had, but I wanted to stay close to home. The money never really did matter. I would be close to family and not completely out of the loop. Then there was Lana. She was there and I knew that I didn’t want to go too much further away from her. She was the real reason I was so interesting in staying close to home and though nothing was official, I had to make it happen, which meant that Leo had to make it happen.

“If that is the best you can get for them, than it will be better than nothing.”

He looked incredulous and I almost felt sorry for the guy. He worked on commission, but he was still going to get a hefty fee, the math didn’t lie. It wouldn’t be as big as Texas, but nothing ever was.

“I will do what you want. I guess if you look at it like that… Can I be frank with you Curt?”

Here it comes I thought. I was waiting for it so it was better to let him get it off of his chest. “I think you are making a big mistake. I know that you are feeling very strongly for this girl and maybe you will end up together, but with this kind
of money, maybe you should talk to her about it, see what she thinks. Sleep on it and then call me in the morning. If that is what you want to do, I am here for you Curt.”

I thanked him though I didn’t think that my mind would change. I hadn’t thought about asking Lana about it. It put too much pressure on something that to me was still too delicate, but maybe Leo was right. Maybe I should talk to her about it and see what she thinks.

“I will do that Leo. Thanks for the advice. I will give you a call in the morning.

“Lana can I come see you?”

  “Um, sure. Where are you?”

  “Outside.”

“Oh, okay. Well I just got back from work so I am not looking very good.”

“I bet you are as beautiful as ever.”

“Yeah right. I will be out in a minute.”

I waited for her in my car and she still had her uniform on from the diner, though I was right, she was just as pretty as she always was. Now that I knew what was possible between us, I was more nervous than ever. I was the smitten one, when usually it was the other way around. Smiling as she got in, she looked over at me. “Are you sure you don’t want me to at least change first?”

I leaned over to give her a light kiss. It quickly became more as I tasted her softness and I wanted more. She was the one that pushed me back, reminding me that we were sitting in her parent’s driveway.

“Sorry, you’re right Lana. You just make me so crazy.”

“Uh huh, so what are we doing?”

“I want to ask you something first.”

I could see her getting ready for a serious conversation. It must have been my face that gave it away, telling her that it was time to pay attention. “Okay, what’s up?”

“You heard who is offering for me, right?”

“Yeah I heard about Texas, that they were making a big bid. They didn’t back out, did they?”

“No, but it is really far away.”

“You have to go where the money is. You only have a few good years to play, so you might as well make it count.”

“I know, but it is a long ways away.”

She looked away for a minute, out the window and towards where she had come from. “Yeah but you can’t stay here forever.”

“I like what is going on here though.”

I touched her arm and when she looked back I could tell that something was bothering her. “I like what is going on here too, but I don’t want to stand in your way. That is just silly and we barely know each other.”

“I know about the spot on your neck that drives you crazy.”

She pushed away and sighed. “Yeah, there is that, but it’s not worth the millions you would lose not taking the deal.”

“I think it would be worth it.”

Her eyes flicked up to mine and I knew then that I was going to have to go wherever I needed to. As long as I got to stay with her, then none of it really mattered. Either way it would be more money than I would need or spend in the end.

“You’re crazy. That is a lot of money to pass up.”

She didn’t seem to be getting the connection or she was being purposefully obtuse. “I don’t want to lose you Lana. If I move to Texas, I will never see you.”

“I am sure you will find another girl to fill your time.”

Lana moved to get out and I stopped her. She was mad or upset, something and I wasn’t sure why. The conversation was not going as I had hoped it would and I couldn’t help but curse Leo in my mind. I had a feeling that asking her so soon would not be a good idea.

“Wait Lana. What just happened? Why are you upset?”

“I’m not. I just don’t want to talk about you leaving.”

I was confused or she was purposefully doing it. “I was saying that I was going to stay.”

“But if you do, you will resent me for it later. You have to do what is best for you. We had a good time together and all, but it was just a fling.”

Now I was the incredulous one. “Just a fling? I am thinking of marrying you and walking away from five million dollars and you are calling what we have a fling?”

  “Marry me?”

I smiled and pulled her in for a kiss. She didn’t kiss me back, still too shocked from our conversation. “See? That is what I mean. I say five million dollars and all you hear is marriage.”

“Money is just paper. Why would you think about wanting to marry me?”

  “Because I love you.”

  “You do?”

  “How could I not?”

“So why are you going to lose that money?”

“Because you have three more years of school here. I can’t ask you to leave your life for me.”

  “I would.”

Her words stopped me and I realized I was still holding her. Lana’s eyes were bright and she had happiness on her face that I had been feeling well up inside of me for some time. It was good to see that it wasn’t only me mad in love. “Would you?”

She nodded her head slowly, leaning towards me for a kiss. It was the first one that she had ever initiated and it made it that much sweeter. Everything was changing for the best and I couldn’t believe that I had almost just walked away from it all without even asking her what she wanted to do. It was clear to me now that I was going to get it everything I had ever wanted and more. I no longer wanted to live the players life. I had Lana and she was all I could ever want.

  Chapter 1

“Welcome to Parbrook. I am sure you will find everything you are looking for here Mr. Hunter. Our school is happy to have you playing for us, but I have to warn you, we will not put up with any shenanigans like your last school endured. Yu are a good player, but not good enough for a free pass.”

Max nodded his head that he understood. He was only there because he could play ball and his father had friends in high places that would give influence so that he could have a second chance at Parbrook College. Max knew that it was his last chance and he had to make the best of it.

“Thank you Sir. I assure you that I will be on my best behavior.”

The dean looked at him over his wire-rimmed glasses and just nodded his head. He didn’t quite believe that, but he knew that the man’s father had made a rather large donation to the school new library project and it would have to be okay. There was no guarantee that Max would not do the same thing, but the dean thought it was worth the chance. It was hard finding funding for it and the dean wanted the library finished before he resigned his position. He wanted one thing left with his name on it, his legacy as it were.

“I think you will do fine here son. Parbrook has one of the best football programs and with your talent we may even win this year.”

Max stood up after he did, shaking his hand and thanking him for his faith in him. The dean smiled to himself, sure that he had gotten through to the man. The dean didn’t let his school go to chaos and he knew that he would be keeping an eye on Max Hunter to make sure that his school stayed the same.

The young man who had showed such contrition moments before, smiled to himself as he left the man’s office. The last thing he was worried about was what the dean said. He knew his father had paid well for him to go there, but he also knew that the dean would expel him if he went too far.

Max tried to stay out of trouble, he really did, but trouble seemed to have a way of finding him and there was nothing he could do most days about it. Max drove too fast, drank too much, shared his bed with too many women and some of them were supposed to be off-limits. But nothing was off limit to Max, not even professors or other lady deans. It was all through the school what he had done at the last place he went and though he didn’t regret the act, he regretted opening his mouth about it later. If he would have just kept his mouth shut, no one would have known.

But that was in the past, he told himself. He was going to
stick to the program and make it through without any more problems. His father was never going to let him live down what happened before if he didn’t and though football was the center of his life then, it would soon be taking over his family business when he graduated. Max had to prove to him that he could though and keeping out of trouble while he was in school would help.

He just had to stay out of trouble a little while longer. Play some ball and do what he was supposed to do. As soon as he thought it though, Max wondered if it was even possible. It didn’t sound like a very fun way to go about it.

Max spent the rest of his day getting situated in his dorm room and getting a list of all of his classes. The campus was smaller than the one he had just came from, but Max could already see a bunch of good parts too. The women were dressed in less as it was hotter in the Southern Georgia town and that meant that there was many parading around with bare shoulders and legs.

As he was walking across campus to get something to eat, it was hard not to notice them. A few noticed him as well, but Max knew that he would get plenty of attention when they knew he was the new star quarterback for the team. There was just something about women liking men in sports and Max was more than willing to use it to his advantage.

Max and his new roommate Zach had a lot in common and since they were both in football, it gave them a lot to talk about. Max was there right when the season was starting and even though he hadn’t practiced with the team yet, he was expected to play the next day for their first game. Max wasn’t sure if he was going to be starting or not, he was just happy that he was going to be playing at all. After being expelled from his last school, Max had missed the last half of the season. After taking some time off and his father working things out for him, it was football that he had missed more than anything. Though the girls were a very close second.

“It’s great to have another quarterback. Lazensky has never been able to cut it, but there was no one else to play the position. I hope we actually have a chance of winning this year.”
