“Grayson,” I moaned. I tried making my voice steadier. “Grays…” I gasped as his tongue flicked over my hardened nipple. Words failed me as my appetite for him flared making me forget anything and everything else but the man above me.
Groaning, he pressed himself into me. We both shut out eyes overwhelmed by the magnitude of pleasure and emotions of coming together. The feel of him shot threw me, traveling up my spine like electricity. My eyes fluttered opened and saw Grayson’s gray eyes examining my face, lost in admiration. With nothing but a look, I begged him to move.
His hips rocked into me hard causing me to move a little across the floor with each thrust. Our bodies moved together building a storm of ecstasy. I met him with each thrust. I could feel the familiar build happening. My body began chasing it. It wasn’t long until I came apart, but there was still no relief. I barely settled before I was coming apart again, but instead of feeling satisfied, I only felt more aroused.
Grayson growled hauling back to a sitting position, taking me with him, never breaking our bodies apart. His hands gripped my hips helping me move against him while my hands rested on his shoulders. When I felt the pleasure rip through me, I sank my teeth into his neck, muffling my cries. Neither his blood nor my orgasm did little to sate me. Each orgasm came faster and each left me more aroused than the last.
Before I had a chance to come back to reality, Grayson flipped me onto my hands and knees coming at me from behind. He gripped my hips with such a force that if I had been human, I would have bruised. He slammed himself into me hitting just the right spot. He pounded into me with such power that I fell apart immediately followed by another. I could feel his rhythm becoming erratic. I knew he was close. Even after, what should have been earth shattering orgasms, I wasn’t ready for him to finish. My desire remained unquenched.
I pulled away hoping to hold him off from his moment, but my body immediately regretted it. I felt empty without him buried inside of me. My body craved him. I rolled over onto my back wanting to feel him sheathed in me once more. Grayson growled moving across my body. He threw my legs over his shoulder filling my body with his. My orgasm ripped through me before he even started moving. When he began thrusting, I came apart again and again with no relief. I had barely settled down when I heard Grayson roar and felt the warmth of his release spill into me, filling me to the brim. White light filled my vision as my body threw me into a mind blowing, earth shattering orgasm that came out of nowhere. There was no building to it. It hit causing me to see a sun burst as wave after wave of pleasure crashed down onto me. Every fiber of my being was being pleasured. I felt fingers rolling my tender nipple, kisses down the column of my neck, hands glide up my belly, fingers graze my thigh, a tongue swirl my clit. It was like having ten lovers that were all Grayson. Every shadow of pleasure that Grayson and I had shared in our time together, I felt in that one paramount orgasm. I felt us merging together becoming one being. I could no longer tell where I ended and he began.
After what seemed like forever and at the same time, not long enough, we began to separate in our blissful haze, finding ourselves back in our own bodies.
I opened my eyes and saw that the sun was filling the night sky. I was baffled for a moment. I sensed the sun and realized it was morning. My eyes grew heavy after the pleasure I just experienced. I drifted off to sleep with Grayson still buried inside me.
I woke to the sound of Grayson’s voice.
“No. Clear my schedule… I think I’m coming down with the flu…Yes, I’m aware it’s May. Just…Betty! Clear my schedule.”
I shifted feeling my body protest realizing I was still on the kitchen floor. I opened my eyes; Grayson’s chest filled my vision. I tilted my head to see his face and he smiled at me.
“I’m sorry if I woke you. I was trying to be quiet, but Betty tried arguing with me.”
“I heard,” I tried shifting onto my elbow and felt the dried blood pull my skin causing me to remember the state we were in.
“I thought about moving us to the bed, but,” his eyes looked at my chest that was still caked in blood. I had already ruined my underwear and probably his suit. No need to destroy our bedding too.
“Shower?” I asked even though all I wanted was more sleep. The sun felt high in the sky so I was guessing it was somewhere between eleven and one.
Grayson nodded. When I tried to stand, he scooped me into his arms and carried me to the bathroom like a bride being carried across the threshold.
“Grayson!” I giggled.
“I’m taking care of you today. After the night you gave me, it’s the least I can do. Also it would probably hurt my ego if you could successfully walk after last night. It would mean that I didn’t do my job right.”
I giggled. “You definitely did your job right,” I spoke as he sat me down on the toilet lid while he went about adjusting the shower. When he turned to face me, my eyes landed on his erection that was standing tall once more. “But maybe I didn’t do my job right,” I joked.
“No, you did.” He looked down at his member. “I don’t know what the hell is wrong with me. Feels like someone gave me an erectile dysfunction pill. The damn thing doesn’t want to go away.”
Even though I was exhausted, seeing him straining like that made me squeeze my thighs together. “Shower sex?” I asked a little embarrassed after the session we’d just had.
“God yes,” Grayson spoke before swooping me in his arms at supernatural speed before blurring away into the shower.
I laid my head against Grayson’s chest feeling clean from the shower, but a little dirty. After our shower, we barely made it to the bed before he was buried inside me again. Our session didn’t last nearly as long as the first one had, but I was met with the same frustration. My orgasms just weren’t satisfying unless Grayson was finishing with me.
“I wonder if that’s what it was like when we mated,” he asked running his fingers up the bare skin on arm. Neither of us would know for sure if mating was similar since we’d both blacked out from the intensity of it, but something told me that if it wasn’t, it was close.
I sighed. “I don’t know, but I didn’t think I’d ever find satisfaction.”
“Jeez, thanks,” Grayson mumbled jokingly.
“That’s not what I mean. It had nothing to do with your skills. You were a god,” I said making sure to stroke his ego. “It’s just no matter how much pleasure you caused it wasn’t enough, not until you reached your finale.”
We laid there in a blissful state wrapped around each other. I wanted to discuss what had just happened, to make sense of it all, but with how things had been since I started working for Damien again, I didn’t want to ruin the moment. I rested my chin on his chest letting my eyes dance over his face.
“Hey,” Grayson rubbed his thumb over the wrinkles between my eyebrows that were showing my worry. “None of that. Just enjoy this moment with me.”
“But...”
“No,” he said with a crooked smirk. When he saw that I still wasn’t relaxed, he sighed then rolled us over so his eyes met mine. “You shouldn’t look so upset after all that. It’s bad for the ego.”
“I think we should talk about what just happened.”
“Why?” he said confused.
“Because,” I pressed. “I think there was a reason why. A supernatural reason…?”
“I know,” he sighed, rolling onto his back again.
“You know?” I adjusted myself to stare at his face. I wasn’t sure what he meant. I wasn’t even sure if I knew what had just happened.
He nodded. “I think part of me knew the moment I walked in the door.” I looked away from Grayson, shifting under the awkwardness. I felt that I should have stopped us. I should have known what was going on, but like everything with Grayson, it was my first time experiencing it. Placing his finger on my chin, he turned my face back to him. “And I walked in anyways.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah,” he placed a gentle kiss on my fo
rehead. “Now can you stop worrying that I’m going to be upset? No matter what happens I’ll be okay with it. Will you?”
I smiled and nodded. “Yeah.”
The next morning as I waited for my coffee to be done, not long after Grayson had left, my phone rang showing the number for the front desk. This startled me, seeing as how almost everyone in my life managed to make it to the door to knock instead of going through the doorman.
“Hello?”I asked hesitantly.
“Miss Gaby, this is Tom at the front desk,” an older man replied.
“Yes, Tom. How are you?” I asked, not wishing to sound rude by asking why he was calling. I never received calls from the desk.
“I’m fine. The reason I’m calling is there appears to be a delivery for you. Would you like for me to send them up?”
I thought about what Tom was asking for only a moment. I had received another letter from my mystery stalker just yesterday and didn’t know what this delivery could be or who it was from. “No, I’ll be down in a moment.”
I hung up and made my way to the lobby. When the elevator doors opened, I saw a delivery man holding a large vase of white orchids.
“Are you sure you can handle this Miss?” he asked. “They’re heavier than they look.”
“This is for me?”
“Gabriella Carmichael?” he asked and I nodded. “Then it’s for you.”
He sighed in relief when he handed me the flowers. I made my way back up to the apartment before I allowed myself the chance to truly admire them. Setting them down in the kitchen, I pulled the card that was being held in the middle of the arrangement.
Thank you for another amazing night
With love forever,
G
I couldn’t help but beam at the card. Things may not always be perfect between us, but it definitely had its moments of perfection.
CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Over the next few weeks, I continued working on plans for my parent’s wedding. It seemed the closer event got, the harder it was to get an answer from my mother. For a woman from another time, she was turning into a straight bridezilla. Things between Grayson and I hadn’t changed too much, even after “that night.” He still thought that his detail was unnecessary, but even that topic he relinquished. He turned his hostility to the fact that I was planning my parent’s wedding. Not because of the time it was taking away from us, but because of Sebastian. I suppose it was my fault having mentioned that he had “cornered me in the elevator,” at least that’s how Grayson saw it. I didn’t want him to hear it from someone else like he did the night Sebastian dissipated me from The Angelo Tower in front of my mother. No matter how much I tried to correct his view, I seemed to only make the bad situation worse. He never openly asked me to quit. He wasn’t that type of person. Even though it would ease the tension between us, I refused to quit working on my parent’s wedding for multiple reasons, but Sebastian wasn’t one of them. Grayson was angry and he took it out on my body nightly.
Our nights were never as raw as they had been “that night,” but it seemed that he tried to get us back there every time. Afterwards, when his appetite and anger were both quenched, he’d gently take me into his arms and hold me until I fell asleep. There were even mornings when I would awake still wrapped in his arms. It became my favorite part of the day.
I was glad that there was only a week left until the wedding. I was ready to put it and Grayson’s jealousy behind me. I knew I’d miss our nightly escapades, but just because his temper wasn’t flaring didn’t mean our sex life would die, at least that’s what I told myself. I knew things weren’t the same as they had been before Grayson’s kidnapping, or even before his transition. I wasn’t looking to get us back to what was normal. If I was being honest, things had never really been normal for us. I just wanted to get us somewhere that would make us both happy and that meant first getting through the wedding.
Chris and I were at the caterers making a few small last minute adjustments. Apparently, vampires didn’t see RSVP as a necessary thing to follow through with.
“And it will all arrive first thing that night?” I asked even though I had been through this on a previous visit.
“Yes, ma’am.”
“And your staff is equipped to deal with our special needs?”
This was the only supernatural caterer in the city, but I still liked to make sure that all the details were correct.
“Of course. We’ve even prepared a few special dishes that I’m sure your special guests will approve of.”
I nodded and thanked him. I spun on my heels and headed towards the door. Chris gripped my arms as I lost my balance. I was more dazed with his hasty assist than I was with almost falling on my face.
“You all right, Gaby?” I could see the slight concern on his face. I smiled trying to reassure him.
“The slippery floor and these heels don’t mix.” He waited until I was completely upright before releasing his hold. I could feel him hovering behind me ready to pounce if I slipped again. In that moment, I got a brief glimpse at what Grayson must feel like daily. He must feel like his body guards are always standing guard, ready to pounce at any sign of dismay. Chris was only lingering behind me for a few seconds to the door, but just feeling him nearby, annoyed me. It made me feel incompetent.
That night, Grayson came home to take out by candle light. I figured if I was apologizing, no need to make him suffer with my attempt at cooking. I had set the table then took my seat wearing only a black lacy babydoll.
“You’re home early,” he spoke as he set his briefcase down by the door and slipped out of his jacket. He hadn’t noticed me yet. It was just our mating bond telling him I was there. “I thought this was the night you go over stuff with your mother.” He was immobile when he took in the scene before him and a bemused grin, that I wished I saw more often, appeared on his face. “What’s all this?”
I stood adjusting my lingerie. “This is an apology.”
“For?”
I bit my lip as I strode over to his chair. I pulled it out for him, gesturing for him to sit. “Today I got a glimpse of what it must feel like for you to have a group of werewolves on you trail all day.”
“You did, huh?” His lips pulled up in a sexy half smirk. He reached for one of the many containers on the table and began emptying some of its contents on his plate.
“I did.” I took my chair. “I almost fell today and Chris caught me.”
Grayson’s face filled with worry. “Are you all right?”
“Yes, I’m fine,” I waved off his concern. “It’s just afterwards he hovered behind me prepared to catch me before I fell again. I know it’s not the same thing as what you go through and I know he was only trying to keep me safe, but it still aggravated me.”
“Does this mean you’re going to call off the guard detail?”
I smiled, “No. It means that I have a better idea of how you feel, but even though I was aggravated by Chris, if I had lost my balance again, I’d been grateful when he caught me.”
Grayson let out a long breath. He stood then made his way to me. “I understand where you’re coming from.” His eyes raked over my body. I felt his hand slide over my shoulder as he fingered my strap. “What’s this for? An incentive to see things your way?”
I shook my head. “No. It’s just dessert.” Grayson grinned from ear to ear before lifting me onto the table deciding to have dessert first.
“Hello?” I answered groggily. It hadn’t been that long since I’d fallen asleep. I had spent the night going over details with my mother. With the wedding almost here, it was one of our last chances and she had held me captive for longer than I had anticipated. By the time I crawled into bed it was closer to morning than night.
“Gaby?” The voice on the other end of the phone cracked. I sat up straighter hearing the pain in best friend’s voice. I looked over to Grayson, but found he had already left for work and had let me sleep in.
“What’s wrong?
” I had only ever heard Shawn’s voice like this one other time, when his grandmother passed away.
“I was wondering if I could come stay with you? I know things with you and Grayson are still bumpy and I’d hate to ask, but…”
“Of course,” I knew I probably should have run it by Grayson, but Shawn was my best friend and I hoped he understood.
When Shawn arrived almost an hour later, I did my best not to pester him with questions even though I was dying to know. Perhaps he saw my curiosity or maybe he just needed someone to talk to, but he spilled before he even set his bags down.
“It’s Clive.”
“Is he okay?”
“He’s an ass. I don’t know how I didn’t see it before.”
Shawn and Clive had rarely fought, but it seemed since they moved in, that had changed. This wasn’t the first fight I had heard about.
“He heard me on the phone with you the other night and just exploded. I don’t know why.”
“Is it me? Did I do something to upset him?”
Shawn shook his head. “No. He looked a little upset when I got off the phone so I told him that I thought you and Grayson were finally getting back to normal. He asked how I knew and I told him about your killer sex marathon. How just you guys seeing each other made you lose control with no hold backs and he just flipped out on me. He told me how selfish you were with the way you were treating Sebastian and that you needed to stick with the guy who had been there for you and to give him a chance.”
I didn’t even understand why my choice in men would bother Clive. I knew he disliked the fact that I went back to Grayson, he had made that clear to me already, but Grayson was the love of my life. Even when I thought he was dead, I had never given myself over to Sebastian, not completely.
“It just got worse after that. We fought about you, Sebastian, Grayson, Clive’s job, mine, and everything in between until I finally decided I needed a break. He gave up his apartment to move in with me, so that’s when I decided to ask you if I could stay here.”
