Escapades Page 22

“God, I need you,” Joey said.

She watched Samantha smile with a nipple in her mouth as she felt her fingers slide over her clit.

Joey gasped, feeling the energy gathering in her center. She closed her eyes as the energy shot out through her body, releasing the tension as the climax erupted. She rode the waves until they subsided and she could finally think clearly.

She lay breathless as Samantha curled up next to her. Joey wrapped her arm around Samantha and pulled her close.

“That was amazing, baby,” Samantha said.

  “It was beyond amazing.”

Joey reached over and ran her hand over the bump that was Samantha’s belly.

  “How’s DJ doin’?”

Samantha smiled and laced her fingers through Joey’s. “I think that’s really sweet that you call him that.”

“Have you thought of a name for him?”

“I think I’ll call him DeeJay.”

  “No lie?”

“If that’s okay with you.” Samantha said.

  “I started it, didn’t I?”

“You did, but I didn’t know if you were facetious.”

“Not at all. I think it’s a great tribute. And maybe it’ll alleviate some of your guilt.”

“Babe, I’m past the guilt. I mean that. I have every right to move on. I’m lucky I found you, and I’d be foolish to walk away over someone who’s not even alive anymore.”

“Well, I’m glad you came to that conclusion.”

  “You know I love you.”

Joey’s stomach clenched. It was a natural reaction. The fist melted and she was covered in comfortable warmth.

  “I love you, too.”

“You don’t have to say that. I’d rather you wait until you’re sure.”

“I’m totally sure. It’s been pure hell not being with you. You’re all I think about. I’ve missed you like crazy. I’ve never been more certain about anything than this.”

  Samantha kissed her again.

“I’m so grateful to have you back,” she said.

“We’re too good not to be together.”

“You sure you’re ready to be a mom? I mean, really?”

“I’m sure I care too much about you not to give it a shot.”

“Should we get up and get dinner going?” Samantha asked.

Joey rolled over on top of her. “How about a little more dessert first?”

She kissed her hard on the lips, happy with the knowledge that she’d be kissing Samantha for the rest of her life.
