I press my tongue inside her slickness, trying to get to the core of her desire, give her as much pleasure as I can.

“What is that?” she says, so sweet and beautiful and awakening. “What are you doing?”

Instead of an answer, I dip my tongue deeper inside before I return to her sensitive nub, sucking and pressing on it, never letting go until she tightens and throbs, her whole body shaking.

“Oh, Jesse!” she screams out, pulling on my hair. To my ears it’s as if the most luscious primal symphony fills my studio with the infinite music of her orgiastic gasps and moans.

My sweet Em pants heavily as she tries to catch her breath, unsure of what has just happened to her. I crawl my way up her body to take her in my arms. Her heart pounds wildly but her face beams with a huge smile. “Oh, my God,” she says, touching her forehead. “That was mind blowing, Jesse. You were right.”

“I’m always right,” I say, brushing my lips on her nipples.

She giggles quietly. “You said you didn’t want to have sex with me because then I’d want more. You were right. I do want more. I want everything. I want it again and again.”

Her words make my heart ache and my cock jerk forward, pressing on her belly.

“Aww,” she says, taking my cock in her tiny hand carefully as if it’s some precious object. “We better take care of this guy.”

  “Squeeze,” I say.

  “What?”

“Squeeze my cock as hard as you can.”

She looks at me curiously. “What if I hurt you?”

“You can’t hurt me, Em.” My voice gets all raspy and low. “It’s indestructible.”

She sighs with a shiver, tightening the grip on my cock as if trying to break it, sending waves of electricity all through my body.

“Fucking hell,” I say, my throat getting dry, every animalistic instinct clawing to the forefront. I want to plunge myself in her, bury my brutish size inside her delicate body, finally make her mine.

I grab her face with both hands, forcing her to look at me. “Say that you want me, Em. Say that you want me inside.”

She licks her lips, driving me insane. “I want you more than I want to breathe. Even if it is just this once. Make love to me, Jesse.”

I kiss her, tasting the freshness and sweetness of her hot mouth again, guiding her hand back onto my hard cock, up and down the throbbing shaft.

I push her onto her back, reaching over to the night stand to get a condom from the drawer. She watches me curiously as I put it on, a smile on her face. I settle myself between her legs, my thick erection pressing against her wetness.

God, I don’t want to hurt her, I don’t want to scare her and I don’t want to disappoint her. I want this to be all about her, my selfish hunger pushed far to the side.

I pull back, bracing myself on my elbows, giving her one last out. Giving me one last chance to do what’s right.

She locks her eyes on mine, reading my every thought. She knows me too well. “Hurry up, big guy,” she says. “I want to feel you inside. I want you to be my hero and fuck me.”

Her words shoot through me like bullets, turning me into a wild beast. I push into her, slowly enveloping myself with her impossible tightness.

She whimpers a bit and I pull back but she grabs my ass, driving me back inside her. I wait for her to adjust to my size before I push further inside again. I fight to stay patient. I push into her again and again until I’m all the way in.

“How are you, baby?” I ask, dying to fuck her, to slide back and forth in her hot, tight walls that wetly clasp my cock in a lethal grip.

“Jess, I’m afraid to say it,” she says, rolling her hips to trap me inside her.

“It’s okay, Em,” I say, moaning from the sweet torture of my swelling cock inside her.

“I’m so happy,” she whispers and then gasps as I press deeper.

“Me too,” I say with a quiet, pleasurable grunt. “This is amazing.”

I dive deeper inside her tiny sweet body, carefully exploring her depths, increasing my pacing gradually.

“Baby, fuck me, please,” she whispers. Her breath tickles my ear. “Make love to me.”

I switch into full animal mode now, pounding into her as her walls tighten and contract around my cock, the pressure building up inside me.

When she moans, her eyes roll back. Overwhelming Emma is my wildest dream come true. She wraps her arms around me to pull me closer and my breath catches in my throat. She’s so beautiful in her complete abandonment, I feel the sparks of my own orgasm humming and then welling and then rushing through my throbbing cock, shooting wildly out into her hot, wet embrace until there’s nothing left of me but a man born to love her.

As soon as I’m able to breathe again, I kiss her eyes and nose and lips, I kiss her soft neck and breastbone—I kiss her so that her soul might feel my lips.

  And then I notice them—tears.

“Why?” I say, gathering her into my arms.

“I’m just silly,” she says. “You know that.”

What I know is that she will say anything to keep me happy. She will say anything to save me from the pain of having to make a decision. What she doesn’t know is that I have already made up my mind and that I don’t have a single regret.

“Em,” I say with my heart overflowing, “look at me.”

Her beautiful eyes glisten with crystal tears hanging around the corners, undecided as to whether they should roll or go back inside the protection of her eyelids.

“You rocked my world,” she says, trying to smile. “I got what I asked for.”

“Oh no, you got more than you bargained for,” I say, pinching her butt lightly.

“What do you mean?” she says, eyeing me suspiciously.

I get off the bed and on my knees, taking her hand in mine.

“What’s happening?” she says, sitting up.

Sunlight frames her gorgeous naked body, giving me a thousand ideas for paintings I’m going to make of her.

“I have a second offer for my art doctorate,” I say, locking my eyes on her. “San Francisco College of the Arts. They want me badly. I want it too.”

“What are you saying?” she says, bringing a hand to her chest.

“What I’m saying is, Emma Dawson, will you be my girlfriend?”

“Jesse, I can’t be the one to hold you back.”

Her small face gets so serious in its honesty, I want to kiss her all over.

“I know that, my beautiful girl. No, you’re a beautiful young woman now. You’re not holding me back. You’re making me happy, giving me inspiration. I’ve always loved you. And now I love you more than ever. My whole body suffered from the threat of leaving you.”

My sweet love is smiling. A wave of tenderness captures my heart. I take my angel into my arms and ravish her with sloppy kisses.

“We’ll be together forever,” I say softly. “You are mine, Em, now and forever.”

She bats her eyelashes at me, playing with my nipples. Emma laughs freely as she nibbles on my earlobe. “That’s cool,” she says. “I’ve always wanted to be Jesse’s girl.”

What happens when a curvy city girl heads to a dude ranch for her long-lost mother’s wedding?

She gets stranded on an oppressively hot Texas back road. Thrown from a horse and injured in the fall. Humiliated in front of a room filled with wedding guests. Not exactly the string of events Skylar Warwick expected when she arrived at Longhorn Dude Ranch for her mother’s nuptials to the owner. And she sure as hell never expected to follow in her mother’s footsteps and fall for a tall, handsome cowboy. Yet it all happened, and her smoking hot stepbrother-to-be Cal Reynolds was smack in the middle of all of it.

Cal Reynolds makes his first mistake when he doesn’t reveal his true identity after he rescues the curvaceous blonde with a broken down car. He fails again when he pulls her out of a ditch, and his well-meaning advice is interpreted as possessiveness. He gets one more chance with Skylar at the big event. Will he strike out or hit a home run with his sexy, but accident-prone, new stepsister?

  CHAPTER ONE

Skylar Warwick turned up the air conditioning in the rental car she was driving. She was almost an hour from the Dallas Fort Worth airport and according to the GPS, she still had about twenty minutes more before arriving at her destination. She kept pushing the radio buttons, trying to find a station that played something other than Country Western, but the only break she got was a weather report. One hundred degrees in the shade today, the announcer reported gaily, as if this were all a big joke.

She lifted her heavy blonde hair off her neck. When she felt the dampness on her skin, she wasn’t surprised. She was sweating. She glanced down at the air conditioning controls. They were set to max, so why wasn’t the car cool?

Skylar pulled a hairclip from the front pocket of her purse and managed to secure her heavy mane of blond curls up off her neck. She ran her hand in front of the vent on the dash.

It was blowing hot air. She checked to make sure the controls weren’t set to heat, but everything looked right. Besides, it had been working up until now.

She turned off the air and opened the windows. Hot gusts blew in, hitting her in the face. Frustrated, she reached for her purse on the car floor to retrieve the bottle of water she had purchased before leaving the airport. When she couldn’t pull it free of the zipper, she glanced down to see what was wrong, and her eyes fell on the temperature gauge. Holy crap, the arrow was in the red zone and rising.

She pulled over to the side of the road and retrieved the water bottle and her cell phone to call the rental company. She took a big swig of the water and clicked the surface of her phone. NO SERVICE was written in big capital letters across the screen. Skylar threw the phone on the passenger seat in frustration. Her cheapo service had bugged out again.

The local route she was traveling was deserted. She hadn’t seen another car —or anything else, for that matter—since she’d turned off the Interstate thirty minutes before. Right now she needed a gas station or someplace to stop this car and get it checked out.

She waited a few more minutes, hoping it long was enough to have cooled down the engine, and started the car. The temperature gauge registered in the normal range, so she decided to drive on.

Five minutes later she was still in the middle of nowhere and the arrow was in the red zone again. She wasn’t sure what to do. It couldn’t be good to keep driving, but how could she stop? She might be stranded out here for hours, or maybe days. She increased her speed, hoping to catch sight of something over the next little hill.

Nothing more appeared to her when she reached the top of the small incline in the road except more straight, flat road and acres of fenced land. Nothing at all, except a huge ball of something rolling toward her, smack in the middle of the road. Skylar was so fascinated by the scene that she didn’t notice her car was slowing until she was at a complete standstill. The engine had cut off completely.

She tried to start the car, but it was dead. The tumbleweed hit her straight on.

“Now what?” she muttered. She opened the car door and slid out, noticing for the first time that steam was escaping from the hood. She held her hand above her sunglasses to block the sun beating down on her and looked in every direction for a sign of life. Nothing.

Sighing, she started to peel off layers of her clothing. She was still in her travel garb, and she had dressed to impress this morning. After all, she was seeing her mother for the first time in five years and meeting a brand new family. Well, they’ll have to use their imaginations, Skylar thought as she tossed her lightweight suit jacket into the front seat, followed by her short sleeve blouse. Her camisole would have to double as a tank top.

Skylar sat back down in the driver’s seat, facing out, while peeling off her hose and heels and throwing those on the floor of the passenger’s side. She noticed a clump of trees across the road and decided sit there while trying her cell again.

Once she stood up and placed her feet on the road surface, she howled in pain. The pavement was hotter than beach sand at noon. Grumbling, she climbed back in to the driver’s seat and pulled her overnight bag from the back seat, rummaging through until she found her flip-flops. She grabbed her purse and marched across the street, trying not to cry.

The first bright spot was a patch of grass under the trees and she flopped down, knees bent. Her short skirt hitched up and the breeze felt good between her thighs. She spread them apart further, hoping to cool off faster, but to little avail.

Still no service on her cell phone. Skylar sighed and took a big gulp of water. This felt like the longest day of her life. She stood up, straining to hear a motor or some noise somewhere that indicated signs of life. Sweaty and thirsty, she took one more sip of water and spilled what was left in the bottle down her cleavage.

Looking down at her chest, she burst into hysterical laughter. If anyone did happen to pass by, they might be tempted to keep going. She must look like someone who escaped from a mental institution. She didn’t need a mirror to know her hair had frizzed from the beads of perspiration pouring down her face, and her makeup probably was streaked as well. Now she had wet her thin camisole so that it clung to her massive breasts.

Her plump arms were exposed, which is why she’d worn a blouse over the cami, and her skirt was dirty from wiping her sweaty hands on it. She must be quite a sight sitting there, with
her knees up, meaty thighs spread apart while she fanned air up between them.

She noticed the sun had moved in the sky and realized she’d been there at least a couple of hours. What if no one drove by? How long should she stay there? Maybe she should start walking.

Skylar shook her head. It was too hot to walk along the road in this heat. She’d have to wait until nightfall. Her heart began to beat wildly as the reality of being stranded alone without phone service, and walking in the dark when she had no idea of where she was going, set in.

Skylar began to sob loudly and then stopped, thinking she heard something. She turned her head to the right, and sure enough, in the distance she could make out a vehicle coming toward her. It was still too far away to distinguish what it was, but she didn’t care if it was a VW Bug or a tractor-trailer. Help was on the way!

She grabbed her purse and walked about twenty feet up the road. Since the road was straight, she had no doubt the driver would see her car ahead and stop, but she wasn’t taking any changes of someone not paying attention and crashing into her car. She stood in the center of the road and started to wave her arms above her head when she finally got a good view of the approaching vehicle. A large black pickup headed toward her, but with the sun in her eyes, that’s all the detail she could make out.

The truck slowed as it approached and stopped a few feet in front of her. The windows were tinted black, and combined with the glare of the sun, she couldn’t see inside. No one got out or opened a window. Skylar began to have a bad feeling that maybe this wasn’t the rescue party she’d been hoping for.
