Help Line (Siren Publishing Ménage Amour ManLove) Page 13

by H. D. Nels

“They’ve opened the new terminal. I thought we’d scope it out together, the three of us. Besides, we’ve all got the day off so let’s spend it showing off our new man.” Brody rubbed Colby’s shoulder.

“Tomorrow’s Christmas eve and I’d rather not venture out into the last-minute shopping and travelling crowds. I agree with Brody, let’s make a day of it.” He looked at Brody, winked and smiled. He knew Ian would cave and join them to pick up his parents. He glanced at the clock then back at his lovers. “No need to rush. Anyone up for a bit of raunchy sex before we shower and head out?” He looked at Ian’s incredulous stare then over at Brody’s open-mouthed look of wonder. “What?”

Ian was the first to answer. “Less than forty minutes ago you were blowing the biggest nut I’ve ever seen. I know you’re wired for sex, but surely you need some time to recuperate.” He shook his head.

“Ian’s right. I’ve never seen so much cum shoot out of one person before. From your body’s response, I figured you’d be good for days but here you are, less than an hour later looking for more.” He looked across at Ian. “Hey, lover, we’ve created a monster. Much as I’d like to go again, I want to get presentable and head off to pick up our parcel.”

“How big is this parcel?” Ian groused as he parked in the term lot. His was the largest of their vehicles and the other two insisted they use it. They piled out and strolled over to the arrivals area. “I thought we were checking out the new terminal.”

Brody checked the screen with arrivals information and led them to gate number four. Soon people began emerging from the frosted glass doors and heading to the carousel to wait for luggage.

Ian’s eyes widened along with a smile that spread over his face. He turned to his companions. “Sneaky bastards, it’s no wonder I love you so much.” He turned and waved as his parents walked toward him beaming. After hugs and kisses, handshakes and a few sniffles Ian turned to his partners. “Mom, Dad, these two amazing men are my partners. Brody Langdon, Colby Graham, meet my wonderful parents, Susan and Dean Lawlor.”

Without a pause, Susan wrapped each man in a hug, kissing his cheek. Dean followed with warm handshakes complete with elbow grip. Brody whispered while getting his hug, that the grocery list had been fulfilled.

  Chapter Sixteen

“Oh my God, this pie is delicious.” David grinned as he helped himself to another slice of the tourtiere. He was grateful for the invite to Christmas dinner. Delores declined, saying she’d planned to visit friends in Manitoba.

Brody nodded his agreement. “Susan, you can’t go back east. With food like this, you need to stay here and we’ll open a diner. Better still, we’ll open a pub. I’ll handle the bar. Ian has the business sense to keep us from eating all our profits, and Colby will be the poster boy to entice people in. Come for the hunk, return for the food.”

Susan chuckled, “Sounds like you have it all planned out. What about Dean? He’d feel left out.”

Brody nodded and scrutinized Ian’s father. “Here’s the deal, Colby and Dean will be the faces of the most successful pub in Calgary’s history. I mean, look at those features—absolutely stunning.” He smirked at the blush washing over both men. “You know, we can also include David. He could be one of the strippers for the evening entertainment.” He grinned when David appeared to choke on air. “Imagine it, our pub serving the best meat pie during the day and beefcake after dark. We’d be famous worldwide.”

Ian stood, shaking his head. “I doubt you read that in your Discover magazine. Let’s go open the few remaining gifts.” He knew by now, thanks to a text just received from Janet, everything was ready. “I got my gift from my two men and having them bring my parents here is the best one I could have gotten.” He walked to his desk and brought a wrapped box, handing it to Colby and Brody. “Open it together.” They ripped the paper off and opened it to find three smaller, wrapped boxes inside. Each man took the box with his name on the tag. “Let’s open together.” Ian began unwrapping with the other two following suit.

They stood in awe, staring at the beautiful rings. Ian had them made months ago and Dean had been ready with his camera to capture the expressions as they were placed on the ring finger of each man. Tears of joy and barely contained emotions were interrupted by a sharp bark from the kitchen.

“Come on in, Janet. Bring Colby’s gift with you.” The door was opened a bit, enough for a wire-haired terrier pup to scramble in. It was wearing a large bow on the collar and the name tag read ‘Nipper?’ Colby knelt and the pup scurried over, sneezing playfully, his tail wagging madly. Colby scratched under his chin. He looked at his partners with watery eyes. His voice broke as he spoke. “Thank you. I’ve already had Nipper so this little guy’s name is Benny.”

Colby walked to the tree, followed by Benny who began to investigate everything under the tree. Colby brought his gift to Brody, who immediately tore into the wrapping. His face lit when he opened his brand-new laptop. He stood and kissed Colby, then walked over to do the same with Ian. They glanced over when Janet giggled. She waggled her eyebrows and mimed a fist stroking on one side of her mouth while her tongue pushed out the opposite cheek with a thrusting motion. When Ian frowned, she tilted her head and made a circle with index finger and thumb of her left hand while her right index finger poked in and out of the hole. Ian shook his head and walked over to give her a hug and kiss. “Behave yourself, Santa’s watching and you’ll be lucky to get coal next Christmas.”

Janet grinned. “Sorry, dude. You’ve upped the game. I got used to watching my boyfriend and his boyfriend getting it on. Now I’m intrigued. I need to watch three hot men going at it. Since I’m here and you three are hot…”

“Okay, everybody, thank you for sharing our first Christmas together. All three families are going to join us here for New Year’s Eve. But now, David and I have a shift at the Help Line. Don’t wait up. We may be late getting in.”

“Thanks again for the invite. That was a Christmas the way they should be—true love, gifts from the heart, and a sense of belonging. Even I felt at home there.” He turned when his phone rang. “Help Line, this is Bruce.”

Benny was looking at his ring feeling complete. He glanced over when Bruce whispered to him. He had the mouthpiece of the phone covered. “Can we get a Christmas package together, real quick?” Benny raised his eyebrows but nodded. Bruce resumed his conversation with the caller. “I have some friends who may be able to help. I know this is against our policy, but if you feel safe giving me an address, we’ll get a few things over to you.” He wrote on his notepad. When the call ended he turned to Benny. “Single mom who had to choose between eviction or being able to afford gifts and food for two kids. She’d been waiting for someone from social services but appears to have fallen through the cracks. Her kids were convinced they were bad and that’s why Santa never came.”

Benny called Brody who went into action getting everything organized. His first call was to Jase. Chaps had a toy drive to collect for kids who might otherwise not have a happy Christmas. There had been toys donated after the rest had been distributed. Jase promised to go to the bar and bring them to Brody. Susan immediately went to prepare plates and platters. She had a tourtiere that hadn’t been frozen yet. It fell to poor Dean to don the Santa suit. He’d tell the kids, if they wondered, that he was so skinny from all the work he’d done on Christmas Eve. Within a few hours, a Christmas miracle happened for a mom and her children.

“Help Line, this is Benny.” Ian smiled at the familiar voice.

“Hey, Benny, Merry Christmas. You’ll never guess what Santa brought me.” Jim’s voice devolved into a coughing fit.

Benny chuckled. “You’d be content with a pack of smokes and a roll of postage stamps. Hopefully, someone remembered socks and underwear, too.” Jim mumbled under his breath. “Speak up, my friend. I can’t hear you.”

“I said,” Jim wheezed, “smart-ass, who told you?” Benny glanced as Bruce looked at
his watch and went to the kitchen. “Anyway, I’m going to Christmas supper with my daughter. I wanted to call and say ‘thanks’.”

Benny smiled when the call ended. His phone rang once again. “Help Line, this is Benny.”

“Hey, what a coincidence, you’ve got the same name as my Christmas pup. Same breed as one I had before.”

Benny played along with Colby. “I’m sure your newest pup will get the same love and caring that Nipper had. I’d bet your partner or partners will agree with me on that.”

Colby sighed. “I wanted to call to acknowledge how much the Help Line did for me. Thank you for giving of yourself. Now, if you’ll excuse me, there’s someone else here trying to grab some attention.”

“Hey mister Help Line, would it be a violation of the rules to request a bit of phone sex? You see, one of my partners abandoned the two of us and we’re so used to having threesomes that we don’t quite know where to begin.”

Benny snorted. “I think you need to call NutBusters for that. I’m sure a friend of mine has the number on his speed dial. His name is Brody.” Bruce came in and set a coffee on Benny’s desk before sitting at his own. “Hmmm, there’s another guy who might help, his name’s David. Quite a looker, but possibly a bit on the straight side. I’m sure you can bend him a bit.” Bruce shook his head and answered a call.

“Listen, I appreciate hearing from you, but I’ve got to get back to it. Thank everybody for what they did earlier.” He smiled as he ended the call. He sipped his coffee and spread his left hand to admire the ring once again. He wondered if there was anyone out there who would conduct a ceremony. Polygamous marriages weren’t legal, but it would feel right if they swore an oath before an official. His phone brought him from his musing.

“Help Line, this is Benny.” He recognized the voice immediately. They’d only chatted once, many months ago.

“Benny, I’ve tried calling so many times in order to speak with you. I’m Vera and we talked about my silly fears around my gay son.” She sighed. “You’ve done so much with our one conversation.”

“Vera, I recognized your voice. Have you had that discussion with your son, Charlie? I might have talked with you about things, but give yourself the credit for actually taking steps. Are things well between you two now?”

“Charlie moved out not long after we spoke.” Benny groaned and Vera chuckled. “It isn’t a bad thing, Benny. After we had the mother-son heart to heart you suggested, Charlie told me about a man he was seeing. I’ve met him and we get along fine. He’s even starting to call me Mom. I suggested they live together and when they agreed, I sold my house and moved into an assisted living senior’s complex. We’re all happy, Benny. You helped an old lady understand life beyond her own little world. Merry Christmas, darling.”

Benny sniffled but composed himself when Bruce finished his call and turned to speak. “So far things are going well. Do you think we can get through the rest of the shift unscathed? Oh, I meant to ask, have you heard from the guy responsible for you volunteering here in the first place? The one who set you up?”

“You’d be talking about Rene. I got a card from him a week ago. He’s spending Christmas in Ireland with Hughes. He’s finally found someone to meet all his needs.” Benny rolled his eyes. “Lord knows, that man was needy. If it hadn’t been for him I’d have never met Brody who suggested Help Line as my community service. And without volunteering here, I’d have never met you or Colby. I get satisfaction from my regular chats with Jim and hearing people’s success, like Vera just now. Yeah, Rene started me on an amazing adventure through the Help Line.” He turned back to the console when his phone rang. “Help Line, this is Benny.”
