“You taste so good, baby.”
Adam didn’t know how. Except for a quick rub down last night, he hadn’t had a shower since they had sex before they went to bed. He probably smelled of dried cum and sweat.
Not an aphrodisiac.
“One of these days I am going to tie you down to the bed and feast on every inch of your body.” Between each word, Mike planted kisses along Adam’s skin.
Adam gulped at the visual, his cock jerking in slutty delight. “Okay.”
Mike captured Adam’s lips in that very moment, stealing all thoughts from his head just as he stole the breath from Adam’s lungs. Adam groaned into the kiss. He knew he could quickly become addicted to kissing the man all day, every day.
“I want you, Adam. I want to feel your sweet body wrapped around mine,” Mike whispered against Adam’s lips as his tongue traced along Adam’s bottom lip, making his entire body shiver with need.
“Yes.” It was that easy. Adam wiggled under Mike, wanting to get closer. He was desperate to feel the man’s large, thick cock in his ass. Adam wanted to lick every inch of the man’s body.
“On your stomach, baby.” Mike’s voice was strained, almost as if he were just as desperate as Adam was to feel their skin collide.
Adam swallowed around the dry lump in his throat. He turned around, giving Mike a nice view of his ass, trying desperately to tempt the man into fucking him. Mike grabbed an ass cheek in each hand, giving the flesh a light squeeze. The sensual hold made Adam’s hole pulse with need.
Adam cried out when he felt a finger rim around his asshole. A slight pressure was applied, and then Mike’s finger sank in deep. Adam panted heavily, wanting to feel more but needing a minute to adjust.
Adam panted as he felt Mike’s fingers push deep, and then pull back. Mike added a second finger and went in search of his prostate. Adam moaned as the long, thick fingers that seemed to fill him so perfectly brushed across his prostate with every movement of Mike’s hand.
A third finger quickly joined the first two, thrusting several times before they were removed. A feeling of emptiness started to overwhelm Adam until the blunt head of Mike’s cock pushed at his entrance. Adam sighed with pleasure as he felt Mike’s cock pop past the tight muscle and fill him completely.
“So good, baby…so good.” Mike slid his hands down Adam’s sides and then gripped his flesh. Shivers broke out all over Adam’s body when Mike’s hand snaked up his neck and over his scalp as Mike grabbed a fistful of Adam’s hair and gave a light tug.
He could feel Mike’s balls slapping his as the man jetted into him. He began begging Mike to fuck him harder. He was held still by Mike’s hard body, his plunging hips, and the need to come. Each thrust nailed his gland, and Adam moaned, undulating as they moved together.
Adam lifted his ass higher as he shouted out his pleasure. Mike slid in and out of Adam’s ass so fast Adam had a hard time staying on his knees. He was on the verge of coming. He wasn’t about to let this moment end so soon, but if Mike kept up at his current pace, he was a goner.
Mike knew how to use it and make Adam scream with pleasure.
Adam’s mind splintered as his climax exploded through him, pulling his balls so tight to his body as they emptied that Adam thought they would stay that way permanently.
Mike roared neck as he hammered into Adam’s ass with his thick shaft. Adam cried out in disapproval when Mike pulled out, until he was flipped Adam over and then Mike thrust his cock back into his swollen hole. Adam lifted his ass higher, giving Mike room to plunge deeper.
They began to move together in a rhythm so familiar and yet so new each time they made love. Burying his head in Adam’s damp hair, Mike moved a little faster, his thrusts becoming a little more desperate.
Adam could feel the white-hot fingers of fire moving down his spine now as Mike thrust inside the tight depths of Adam’s body, making him groan on every stroke.
“You feel so good,” Mike whispered as his hand went to Adam’s swollen cock and stroked it to the rhythm of his fucking. Adam felt his heart racing even faster as Mike kissed a trail across his shoulder.
“Come for me, baby.”
“Yes!” Adam hissed. He couldn’t take it anymore and he screamed as another orgasm slammed into him. His cock erupted between them as cum coated his stomach.
Mike wrapped his arms around Adam’s chest, and then pistoned into him until the man was roaring his release. Adam could feel Mike’s cock pulse with the man’s release as he lay there desperately trying to catch his breath.
“How long did you say it was going to take you?”
Adam chuckled. “Thirty minutes tops.”
It took all of Adam’s self-control and love for his horse to roll away and leave Mike curled up in their bed. Of course, the cum leaking down his leg had something to do with it, as well. He needed a shower something fierce. As much as Adam enjoyed the fact that they had decided to forgo condoms now that they were committed to each other, it made things a whole lot messier.
After a quick shower, Adam grabbed a cup of coffee in a to-go cup and then headed for his truck. He still hadn’t had the chance to talk to Mike about getting his own truck. If the man was insistent on keeping a car, Adam at least wanted him to get a 4X4 for wintertime. Snow could get pretty deep in the winter and Adam wanted his love safe.
The ride out to the farm went fairly quickly. Adam wasn’t breaking any traffic laws, but he was kind of in a hurry. Mike was back in bed waiting for him, and Adam wanted to get back to him. A morning spent curled up together sounded like paradise to Adam.
Russ was sitting on the front porch with his coffee when Adam pulled up. Adam was kind of surprised the man wasn’t out in the field. Adam turned off his truck, grabbed his coffee, and climbed out. He walked across the yard and then up the steps.
“Everything okay, Russ?”
He chuckled when the man grunted. So, he was okay.
Adam walked into the house and headed for the kitchen to refresh his coffee. He wanted to hurry and get back to Mike, but without some caffeine to keep him going, he was going to curl up in the hay with Cato and sleep for hours.
Jonny was sitting at the breakfast nook drinking a cup of something hot when Adam walked in. Adam paused to look at the man before glancing back toward the door. It didn’t make sense for the man to be sitting all alone when Russ was still home. If they were both off work, they weren’t far apart.
“Jonny, is everything okay?”
Jonny’s eyes were red and bloodshot when he glanced up. “Oh hey, Adam.”
“Is everything okay?” Adam asked again.
“Yeah.” Jonny went back to staring at his cup of coffee.
Nope. Adam wasn’t buying it. He sat down across from Jonny. “What’s going on?” he asked. “Did you and Russ have a fight?” It was the only explanation Adam could come up with as to why the two men weren’t glued to each other.
Jonny was silent for a moment, staring down into his cup. “I’m going to be working the night shift the next week. Jamie Kent’s father got sick and he wants to fly out to be with him.” Pure anguish shined in his eyes when he glanced up. “Russ and I had plans, and now we have to cancel them.”
Ah. Well, that explained Russ’s grunt.
“Is it because you had to cancel your plans or because he wanted to spend time with you?”
Jonny shrugged. “Both, I guess.”
“It’s not like Cade Creek is a hotbed of activity. Why not take Russ along with you?”
Jonny brightened for half a second before his shoulders slumped. “Because he still has to work the farm.”
“So, have him drive his truck into town and leave it at the hospital. He can spend the evening with you until it’s time for him to go home and go to bed. That way, you might not be able to spend the entire night together, but you can spend some time together.”
Jonny glanced up again. “That might work.”
He sounded hesitant as if he thought Russ would
n’t go for it.
“And I’m sure if you asked Mitch, he’d take over a few early hours for Russ, especially if you promised to babysit the kids so he and Elliot could go out alone one evening.”
“We’ll do it,” came a voice behind them.
Adam swung around to find Elliot standing in the kitchen. “Hey.”
Elliot smiled as he walked over to join them. “Morning.”
“So, Jonny has to work nights for a little while. He and Russ need to spend some time together. We were thinking if Mitch could do some of the early work for Russ, then Russ could spend some of the evenings with Jonny while he’s at work.”
Elliot glanced at Jonny. “What if he gets a call?”
“Russ can take his truck to the hospital and leave it in the parking lot. If Jonny gets a call, Russ can just come home.”
Elliot nodded. “Makes sense.”
“It might not be as romantic as a night out on the town, but at least they’ll be together.”
That was something.
“I’ll talk to Mitch, but I’m pretty sure we’re in.”
“Really?” Jonny’s eyebrows were raised as if he was surprised.
“Sure, I mean, Mitch and I could really use a night off with just the two of us. I love Hannah and Henry to death, but if Mitch and I don’t work, none of it works. And the best way to ensure we work is to keep our relationship strong.”
Adam grinned. He knew his best friend would get it. He felt the same way. “If you ever need a night off, Mike and I would be happy to babysit.”
Elliot glanced at him. “How’s that working?”
“Me and Mike?”
Elliot nodded.
“It’s good.” Real good. “We’re having dinner with Mom and Dad next week to tell them we’re getting married and ask Mom to help plan it.”
Elliot’s eyes rounded. “Oh man, she’s gonna lose her mind.”
Adam chuckled as he took a sip of his coffee.
“With all the shit that went down at my wedding,” Jonny said, “it would be nice to have one where no one got shot.”
Adam winced when he realized he had brought up bad memories for Jonny. Russ had been shot at their wedding along with Hank Vaught. Jonny still had the occasional nightmare about his husband being shot.
Adam held up his cup of coffee. “Here’s to hoping things are boring as hell.”
Elliot and Jonny both laughed before lifting their cups. Jonny took a drink before climbing to his feet. “I’m going to go talk to Russ and see if he’d like to spend the evening in an ambulance with me.”
“I guess that means I need to go talk to Mitch,” Elliot said as he stood.
“That leaves me with Cato.” Adam finished off his coffee and then made himself another cup before heading out to the barn. He was glad both of his friends were now smiling. That alone made his time away from Mike worth it.
Adam still had a smile on his face when he walked into the barn. It widened when he reached Cato’s stall. He opened the gate and stepped inside, squatting down when the little guy hurried over to him.
“Hey there, Cato.”
The colt nuzzled into his palm before butting his head against his hand.
“I’ll bet I know what you’re looking for.”
Adam stood up and walked out of the stall, closing the gate behind him. He went straight for the tack room. Once there, he mixed up a bottle of equine milk replacer. It wouldn’t be long before Cato started eating solids. Then, these frequent feedings wouldn’t be quite so often.
Adam chuckled when Cato started prancing around the stall as soon as he saw the bottle. Adam held it as Cato latched onto the nipple and started sucking. He almost sucked it right out of Adam’s hand before Adam tightened his hands around the bottle.
“Someone’s hungry.”
There was something soothing about feeding a foal so early in the morning. It was the same relaxing feeling Adam got at night when Cato settled for the night after his last feeding. It was the simple act of providing for another that he enjoyed. Cato didn’t ask for much, but he gave so much back. He pranced around the best he could and danced and was always so happy to see Adam. It would be interesting to see how good he did once he had surgery on his hoof.
Adam waited until Cato finished the bottle and then gave him a good rubdown. Getting him used to grooming couldn’t happen early enough. He made sure Cato had plenty of fresh hay and water and then let himself out of the stall.
“I’ll be back this afternoon, Cato,” Adam said as he pet the colt on the head. “Elliot will take care of you until then. If we’re lucky, Mike will be able to come out with me. You remember Mike, don’t you?” Adam grinned as a giddy feeling entered him. “He’s going to be part of our family.”
Adam couldn’t keep the smile off his face as he walked back to his truck. It felt good to say that out loud. This moment had been a long time in coming. There were times when Adam thought it would never get here, and now here it was.
Mike was his.
Adam couldn’t wait until they got married and he could put a ring on that man’s finger. It wasn’t that he was worried that others would try and poach what was his, but rather he wanted everyone to know Mike was his. He’d take out a full-page ad in the local paper if he thought he could get away with it.
Adam waved to Russ and Jonny, who sat together on the front porch, and climbed into his truck. As he drove back toward town, he glanced at his watch. He was surprised to find he had only been gone from home for about forty-five minutes.
He began to smile. If he hurried, he might have just enough time to get to town and grab some pastries from Kapheri’s Koffee Korner and get home before his hour was up. He could surprise Mike with breakfast in bed.
Chapter Twelve
Adam still had a smile on his face as he parked up down the street from the coffee shop. He imagined he was going to spend a good number of his days with a smile on his face.
He was happy. It was as simple as that.
When he spotted Donald Markel coming out of the coffee shop, he wondered if he could grab just a little bit more happiness. Adam waved the man down and then hurried to walk over to him when Donald stopped.
“Adam, I heard you were back in town. Just visiting or do you plan to stick around?”
“Mike and I are both moving back to Cade Creek.”
“Mike?”
“My fiancé.”
“Ah.” The man smiled at him. “Congratulations.”
“Thank you.” Yep, big smile. “I heard your father recently moved to Beverly Hills, and you might be looking for another veterinarian.”
The man gave him a speculative look. “I’ve been considering it.”
“Would you mind if I drop my resume off to you?”
“I’d welcome it. Your brother has kept me appraised of all the intern work you’ve been doing. You’re probably more qualified than I am.”
Adam chuckled. “I doubt that, but I’d like the chance to apply for the job. I love working with animals, and I’d like to work in that field if I can. Otherwise, I’m probably going to be schlepping groceries or flipping burgers.”
“You’re not going to work the farm with Russ and Mitch?”
“No.” Adam shook his head. He hadn’t even considered it. “The farm is Russ’s dream, not mine.”
“Well, go ahead and drop your resume off and we’ll pretend to interview you, and then you can report to work on Monday.”
Adam started to smile again when he remembered the wedding, and then he winced. “I’m still planning to get married.”
“Okay,” Donald said, one eyebrow raised. “And?”
“I just wanted you to know that ahead of time. We haven’t come up with a specific date yet, but I know we plan on a honeymoon. It feels wrong to start work and then ask for a week off.”
Donald laughed as a look of relief came over him. “Don’t worry about it. Just try and give me notice as soon as you set a date, and I’ll make sure y
ou get the time off.”
“Thanks, Donald.”
“Don’t thank me yet,” the man said as he started to walk away. “You haven’t seen me when you’re late for work.”
Adam chuckled as he watched the veterinarian walk away. He was excited to get home and tell Mike he had a job. At least, he thought he had a job. He wasn’t positive.
Adam opened the door and walked into the coffee shop. He was a little surprised to find it empty of customers. Granted, it was still early in the morning. The sun was just now starting to come up. But he had expected at least someone.
“Hey, Brandon.” Adam started looking through the display counter. “Do you have any of those blueberry muffins you had last week?”
“No,” Brandon said. The sharp tone to his voice caught Adam’s attention. He couldn’t ever remember the guy sounding short with anyone.
Adam frowned as he glanced at the man.
“Mrs. Blaecleah hasn’t had a chance to bring them in yet,” Brandon said. “Her daughter isn’t feeling well, so she’s running a little late.”
“Oh.” Adam tried to keep his face as neutral as possible. “Well, give me a couple of those cream donuts then. I’m hoping to surprise Mike before he gets up for work.”
Brandon’s smile wobbled as he pulled two donuts and placed them in a bag. “Well, tell him I hope he has a good day.”
Adam looked Brandon right in the eyes and smiled. “Oh, I’m sure it will be very busy.”
For one brief moment, a look of relief filled Brandon’s eyes before he quickly covered it up with another wobbly smile. “That will be three dollars.”
Adam handed over three dollars and then nodded to Brandon. “Thanks. Tell Mrs. Blaecleah I hope her daughter is feeling better soon.”
“I will.”
Adam waved as he walked out of the coffee shop. It was all he could do to walk casually back to his truck and not run. Just to be on the safe side, he got in and started his truck up and then drove down the street. He waited until he had gone two blocks past the coffee shop before turning the corner.
