She held the locket out to me and when I reached for it, she placed her other hand on top of mine and held my gaze for one long moment. “I don’t know if it was Aerden’s disappearance or if it was just the way we both changed over time that made your love for me fade,” she said. “But the greatest happiness of my life was looking into the light of this stone and seeing myself through your eyes.”
I held her hand tight for a moment before letting go. I ached to explain the truth. I wanted to tell her that it wasn’t her fault. I wanted to tell her that it was never my light inside that stone.
Instead, I had to hold the secret in my heart, letting her live with the pain of her beliefs.
But I’d held onto my guilt and my shame for long enough. I’d sacrificed everything to make up for my mistakes. I’d paid for the lies I told.
And I had suffered long enough.
I deserved happiness and now that my brother was free, there was only one thing in this world or the next that I wanted.
Harper.
And now, on the anniversary of the day I thought I’d lost everything, I was finally free to make her mine.

A Note from Sarra
I cannot tell you how exciting it was for me to be back in the world of the Peachville High Demons. Jackson’s story really began so much farther back than Harper’s, and I’d always wanted to tell more of what happened between him and Lea and Aerden when they were younger. I hope you enjoyed Part I of A Demon’s Wrath. Part II will reveal more of Jackson’s involvement with the Resistance army and how he discovered the truth about the Order of Shadows.
I would really appreciate it if you would take the time to leave an honest review at the site where you bought this book. Reviews are so important, especially to indie authors, as they help other readers find the books they'll enjoy the most.
