  Archangel Michael

Michael means “who is like God.” He appears to be the one to do battle against Satan and his band of fallen angels. Michael was chosen to be the chief of all angels and called an Archangel. Archangel Michael, also known as the good Angel of Death, also known as the Grim Reaper, is frequently thought to be a personified force, due to the prominent place in human culture. Some religions in the world believe that Michael causes people’s death by coming to collect them and carries their soul to Heaven. Also, in the Roman Catholic teachings, Saint Michael has four main roles. His first role is as the leader of the Army of God and the leader of heaven’s forces in their triumph over the powers of hell.

The second and third roles of Michael deals with death. In his second role, he descends at the hour of death, and gives each soul the chance to redeem itself before passing; thus, consternating the devil and his minions. In his third role, he weighs souls in his perfectly balanced scales.

In his fourth role, Michael is also the guardian of the church.

“And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat upon him had a pair of balances in his hand.” Rev 6:5.

  Abaddon, Apollyon

Abaddon is the angel of the bottomless pit who appears to be a ruler of evil spirits as described in the book of Revelation.

“And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle, and they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months.” Rev. 9:7-10.

“And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon.” Rev. 9:11.

Some Angels Have Wings and Fly:

“Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.” Isaiah 6:2.

Angels Can Take on the Appearance of Men:

“Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Heb. 13:2.

“And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow.” St Matthew 28:2-3.

The Number of Angels in Heaven:

“And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands.” Rev. 5-11.

  (10,000 × 10,000 = 100 million) + 1000s of 1000s or too many to count!

  The Rapture

The “rapture” is believed by many to be a transformation or the act of catching up of all Christians, dead or alive, to meet Christ in the air. It is thought to be secret and it will be unknown to the world of unbelievers at the time of its happening. The purpose of the rapture is to remove all righteous believers from the earth before or during the beginning time of God’s wrath toward earth – which is called the “tribulation.” Once the Church has been gathered, Satan will be turned loose upon the earth.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I Thess. 4:16-18

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. Matt 24: 40-42

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof.” 11Tim. 3:1-5

"Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked." Eph 6:16

  The Seven Seals

Revelations 6: 1-2: “First Seal: And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”

Revelations 6: 3-4: “And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.”

Revelations 6: 5-6: “And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat upon him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.”

Revelations 6: 7-8: “And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And Power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beast of the earth.”

Revelations 6: 9-11: “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony that they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest for yet a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, should they be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”

Revelations 6: 12-17: “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of wrath is come and who shall be able to stand?”

Revelations 8: 1-2: “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.” Revelations 8, 9, 10 (the sounding of the seven trumpets).
