Her mouth said something, but her eyes spoke a language that he understood all too well. He stepped through the doorway and grabbed her gently by her elbows. When he pulled her body to his, she didn’t pull back. It was like the fight had left her entire being.
“Why are you here, Keelan?” She breathed up at him. “I thought you said you want things to be normal between us.”
“This is normal,” he said. All the words he had practiced went out the window. “It took me some time to see, but this is where I need to be. With you. So, be with me, Teeka. No more friends with benefits. I want to do it for real.”
“But, Alecia . . .”
“Is on her way back to Milwaukee.”
“What?”
“I told her that I couldn’t do it with her anymore. There is no more relationship, no more wedding, and no more Alecia. There is only Teeka and Keelan. The way it’s supposed to be.”
“How do I know that you’re telling the truth?”
“You won’t, unless you let me show you.”
“I can’t be hurt behind you again, Keelan,” Teeka said as a tear slid down her cheek and to her top lip. “I thought that I could get over you. I figured that all I needed was a little time. But every day, you are the first person I think about in the morning and the last thought before I go to sleep. You were my greatest source of happiness for so long and then, poof! Just like that you were gone. I had to go to sleep thinking about you being with someone else. Then I had to wake up and pretend like you and I had nothing. Do you know how that feels?”
“No. No, I don’t. But I know how it feels to walk a false truth, and I don’t want to do that anymore. We both know that we will never be able to let this thing between us go. It’s too strong. I miss you, Teeka. I miss your laugh and the way you poke my cheek when I fall asleep too fast. I miss holding you at night and kissing your cute-ass face. Hell, I even miss waking up to that bush on your head in the morning.”
“Hey!” Teeka sniffled.
“I’m sorry.” Keelan smiled. “I’m being serious, though. Be with me, Teeka. Be my girl, my homie, my lover, and my friend. You’re everything to me, baby. Plus, I have something more comforting than that cookies and cream. I can promise you that.”
“What if I say yes? What is on the other side of that answer? Will I have to worry about a crazy ex trying to sabotage my relationship? How do I know that she’s really gone?”
“Because Alecia isn’t half the woman you are on her best day,” Keelan said and let his hands fall to her hips.
“Then why did you choose her?”
“The history—or maybe it was because she was safe—but I see now that our life paths just don’t cross any longer. I don’t want to talk about her anymore. You have to trust me, Teeka. Please, just let me love you.”
“Forever?”
“For as long as you let me.” He leaned down and licked her bottom lip. “If God blesses us with forever, then I’m all right with that.”
She stood quickly on the tips of her toes and pressed her lips against his. The softness of them felt like heaven on his, and he couldn’t stop his hands from exploring her body. He’d been wondering what was under that robe of hers and was pleased when he touched nothing but bare skin. He kissed her deeper and slid his tongue in her mouth so that it could intertwine with hers. He could taste the remnants of Oreo cookies in her mouth, but that didn’t stop him.
“It was you,” he whispered once their lips broke apart. “You told Steve to promote me.”
“Yeah.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because if you were going to come to me, you were going to do it on your own. I wanted you to make your own decision. But honestly, I thought I had already lost you. I didn’t see a point, so I just let you think what you wanted to.”
“I don’t remember the last time someone did anything like that for me. Especially if they didn’t get anything out of it,” he said.
“That’s where you’re wrong,” Teeka said as she undid the knot in front of her robe. “I did get something out of it.”
“Well, what’s that?”
“Your smile. You do remember how much I love that smile, right?” She let the robe fall slowly off her shoulders and to the floor. “Especially when you’re watching me walk away from you naked. Oh, wait. That hasn’t happened yet.”
She stepped back and touched her tongue on the front of her teeth. She had a mischievous look on her face, and she turned her head to watch him as she walked away. His eyes watched her ass jiggle down the hallway, and he felt his lips spread into a long smile.
“You’re something else, you know that?”
“No, I don’t,” she said and bent over so he could get a good look at her pussy lips. “What I do know is that you’re all the way over there, and I’m almost to the bed. Come on.”
“You don’t have to tell me twice, woman,” he said, loosening his tie.
If you live to be one hundred, I want to live to be one hundred minus a day, so that I never have to live without you.
Chapter 12
Teeka
Pure bliss. That was the only way to describe how Teeka was feeling. It was like every piece in her puzzle had finally come together. When she opened her eyes the next morning, the sun was peeking at her through the slightly open blinds in her room. She looked over to check the clock on her nightstand, and her eyes widened when she saw that it was almost noon. She tried to jump up, but a hand on her arm stopped her.
“I already called the office for you. Told Steve that you would be working from home today, and so would I.”
“You did?”
“Yes. I’m sure Steve will have some questions for me in the morning, one of them being about why Edward is pulling out of the deal.”
“He’s pulling out of the merger?” Teeka propped herself up on her elbow and rested her head in her hand.
“Probably. Especially after Alecia tells him that I left her for another woman.”
“This other woman must be pretty important if you threw all of that away.”
“She’s more important than you’ll ever know.” He cupped her chin and sat up slightly to kiss her.
“So, what are we going to do all day?” she asked. “Netflix and chill?”
“I was going to say let’s go out somewhere, but that actually sounds pretty satisfying.”
“Takeout?”
“As long as it’s Chinese.”
“What about your clothes?” Teeka pointed to the suit she’d stripped him out of on the floor. “Those are probably a little sticky.”
“I packed a bag just in case you took me back.” He grinned at her. “I had to be prepared. It’s in my car.”
“Perfect. That means I have you to myself all day.” She ran her hand down his chest and didn’t stop until it was wrapped around his still sleeping member. Her touch brought it to life, and she felt it grow in her hand. “I wonder how we’ll pass the time.”
“Oh, I can think of a few ways,” he said and touched her lips with the tips of his fingers.
“Mmmm. Oh, is that right?” She smiled and lay back down on the bed.
He leaned into her, and she opened her mouth to suck his bottom lip. Soon they were in a full-on lip lock and running their hands over each other’s bodies. When Keelan’s hand found Teeka’s freshly waxed pussy, he gripped it and let his middle finger slip through the crack. He was met with her already flowing juices, and he moaned in her mouth. He rubbed on her clit until he slid two fingers inside of her. Instantly, he felt her walls contract on his fingers, and that turned him on in the best way. He used his wrist to give his hand power to fuck her, and she stroked his shaft at the same time.
When Teeka swung a leg over to straddle him, he slapped her ass and watched her thighs jiggle. She didn’t wait for him to prepare before she brought herself down on his erection. His morning wood slid into her and didn’t stop until it was knocking on her cervix.
“Ooooh!
She threw her neck back and brought her hands to her breasts.
Keelan put his hands behind his head and watched as she rode him and pinched her own nipples. Her eyes never left his face. She watched the pleasured expression that came over it while he watched her please herself. He was watching his dick get swallowed by her pussy every time she came down on him. He loved when she worked for her own nut, and this time was no different. She bounced on his stiff meat until she felt her clit swell up, and then she slowed down.
“Ooh, I know what that means,” Keelan said, feeling the shift in her rhythm.
His hands flew from behind his head and gripped her waist so that he could pound into her with upward motions. The squishy sound of her wet pussy filled the air, and she fell down into him. Her face was buried in his neck, and her hands held on tight to his shoulders.
“I’m trying to take it, baby,” she breathed. “Oh, daddy, I’m trying to take this big dick. She’s about to come, baby. All over this fat dick.”
She always spoke about her pussy in third person, because she told Keelan that she had a mind of her own. She heard him moan her name softly as she was talking dirty in his ear, and she bit down on his dick with her pussy walls.
“Damn, Teeka! Oooh-wee this is some good pussy. Did you give it away to that nigga?”
“Ahh!” Teeka screamed out because on his last word, he thrust so hard into her that she felt it in her stomach. “No! I didn’t, baby! I promise!”
He beat her pussy relentlessly as if he were suddenly angered by her. The thought of her letting someone else inside of her must have made him mad, and he was showing it. She felt him slap her ass with so much force that it made her clit jump.
“You’re lying. You gave up this juicy pussy, didn’t you? You nasty-ass slut!”
“I didn’t! Oooh, Keelan! I’m about to come. I didn’t give her away, I swear. Can’t nobody fuck me like youuuu!”
It was like an eruption went off between her legs. She screamed Keelan’s name over and over as she squirted her juices all over his abs. Her entire body jerked as she climaxed, and she went limp when it was done.
She could have rolled over and gone back to sleep, but Keelan was nowhere near done between her legs. His lips found her erect nipples, and he sucked and nibbled all over them while he worked himself in and out of her love canal.
“Mmm, girl,” he said and pulled out of her. “You got me all sticky. Bend over. Let me get it from the back.”
Although her legs were shaky from her orgasm, she bent over and arched her back as deep as it would go. He put his dick inside of her pussy a few times to get his shaft wet, before she felt the tip at the entrance of her back door. She relaxed her body and bit her lip, bracing herself for the pain before the pleasure. When his whole shaft was inside, she felt tingles up and down her body. There was something about anal sex that did something to her, and she loved it. Once her whimpers turned into cries of pleasure, Keelan showed her no mercy. She rubbed her clit in a circular motion as he worked his way in and out of her asshole.
“Shit,” he said as he slapped one of her big cheeks. “You’re such a freak, Teeka. You let me put it anywhere.”
Teeka wanted to tell him that she would have sucked him and fucked him any way that he liked, because that’s how happy she was that he was back. Instead, she just moaned and enjoyed the ride. He brought her to two more orgasms from anal sex before he pulled out and released his seed all over her back. She felt the warmth of the liquid sliding, but he got off the bed and ran for a towel just in time.
“Oh, my goodness,” Teeka giggled breathlessly. She let him wipe her back clean before falling over and watching him wipe the nut from his pubic hairs. “That felt like we were teenagers all over again.”
“That’s how it’s supposed to feel. A timeless love,” he told her as he finished wiping himself off. He threw the towel into the dirty clothes bin on the other side of the room and sat back down on the bed. “Like a fairy-tale, only this is one fucked up fairytale.”
“No.” She grabbed his hand and kissed it. “Sometimes in order for things to fall into place, they have to be ripped apart at once. I’m just thankful that you’re here.”
“Thankful?”
“Yes, thankful. At first, I was mad at you, but then I put myself in your shoes. If I were you, I would have done the exact thing, except . . .”
“Except what?”
“I don’t know if I would have had the courage to follow my heart. So, yes, I am thankful for you, Keelan Metoy.”
“Well, I’m thankful for you too. Because of you, I finally got out of my own way.”
The rest of the day, they just got lost in each other. He helped her with her laundry, and after they showered, he rubbed her feet. It felt like they were teenagers playing hookie from school. Teeka couldn’t remember a time that she’d laughed so hard. She was sure other women would call her stupid for giving him a chance, but oh well. She was a woman in love.
When opportunity knocks on your door, always be willing to take a chance, because you never know how perfect something could turn out to be.
Chapter 13
Keelan
By the time Friday rolled around, Keelan was still all smiles. He made it to the office early, since he hadn’t really done any work the day before. He also wanted to prep himself for Steve to come into his office asking what had happened. He had been trying to put together the right words to say, but nothing besides the truth made sense.
Keelan was still on cloud nine from all the love he and Teeka had made the day before, and he was feeling pretty good about life. It was around ten o’clock that morning when he finally got a knock on his door. He sat up in his chair, cleared his throat, and straightened his tie before he said, “Come in.”
“Good morning, Keelan,” Steve said when he walked in and shut the door behind him.
That day, Steve was wearing a light blue suit jacket with a white silk shirt and brown slacks. The shoes he wore matched the jacket, and Keelan had to admit that Steve had always been a smooth-dressing motherfucker.
“Hey, boss,” Keelan said and motioned to the chair on the other side of his desk. “Please, have a seat.”
“Don’t mind if I do,” Steve said.
When he was seated, Keelan waited for him to speak. Their eyes were locked on each other, and it was hard for him to read the look in Steve’s. Finally, Keelan sighed and opened his mouth to explain.
“Look, Steve, I know why you’re here. And first I just want to say—”
“He signed. ETCO is now part owner of Clout Enterprises!”
Keelan’s mouth froze in place as he tried to comprehend Steve’s words. He wasn’t sure if he’d heard correctly. He swore Steve just said that Edward signed the papers.
“Seriously?”
“Yes! All thanks to you!”
“To me?” Keelan was confused.
“Don’t act modest now, son.” Steve grinned. “You knew this was happening today. I don’t know how you pulled it off after breaking things off with Miss Clout, but whatever it was, it worked!”
“Uh, yeah,” Keelan said and let his voice trail off.
Obviously, Alecia had told her father what happened between them, but Keelan couldn’t for the life of him understand why he still went through with the business deal. Although business was business, Alecia was his princess. Keelan couldn’t see Edward putting anything over her. Still, he was happy that he had.
“Keep up the good work,” Steve said and pulled something out of his pocket. “Oh, and before I go, I can’t forget this.” He handed Keelan a long, triangular-shaped object. It was a gold nametag with Keelan’s name on it. Next to his name were the words Vice President, a welcome sight for his eyes. Keelan broke into a broad smile.
“Thank you, sir,” he said and held his hand out for Steve. “I won’t let the company down.”
“I know you won’t,” Steve told him. “That’s why I gave you a new office on the third floor to match
that nametag. One word: windows.”
“I don’t have words. Thank you, boss.”
“You’re welcome,” Steve said and stood up. “I need to go and make sure everything is in place for the banquet tomorrow. Edward said that he would stop in, but his flight leaves in the evening.”
“Did he say whether Alecia would be there?”
“After you dumped her for Teeka? I doubt it.”
“Sir, I did not dump—you know about me and Teeka?”
“I had my suspicions, especially since the two of you decided not to come into work yesterday.” He cleared his throat. “I hope you know what you’re doing with that one. She’s not one for any nonsense.”
“And I don’t plan to bring any into her life—I mean anymore.”
“As long as you make sure she comes in this office smiling every day, you have my blessing on the matter. If it weren’t for her this place would be turned upside down.”
“Oh, trust me I know. You think I don’t know who types up all of the company’s statements?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Steve said as he opened the door to the office. “Have a good day, Keelan.”
“You too, boss,” Keelan replied.
His smile said it all. He was on top of the world. Rolling up the long sleeves of his off-white button-up, Keelan leaned back into his seat and thought about sending Teeka a message to tell her about his good news. He changed his mind, deciding he would tell her that night at dinner. Somehow, everything had worked out. This week was a magical one because so much had happened, and he truly felt like a new man.
He started to get back to work, but a vibration in his pocket stopped him. He pulled his phone out and raised his eyebrow because he did not recognize the number on the screen. It was a Milwaukee area code, though, so he figured someone from home was trying to get in contact with him.
