“Trysts.” Reese snorted and it caught Michelle off guard to see her laugh. “Who uses that language?”

  “Writer. Remember?”

“Oh, that’s right. Well then, by all means, tell me a story. Make it a good one, we might freeze in here.”

Michelle nodded. “Okay. How about this. Once upon a time there was an evil princess in a big castle where she watched all of the peasants struggle far down below from her ivory tower.”

“Okay. All right. Shut up.” Reese waved her off but then turned thoughtful. With a sigh she said, “I have two children, you know? Somewhere…out there…in this. If you think I don’t feel anything, you’re wrong. So yes, Michelle, I have a soul. You might think I want to find Cameron to sleep with him, but I don’t. I thought getting Cameron back with the company could possibly fix all of this. I want to make it right. If that’s even possible.”

  Michelle almost believed her words…almost.

  Authors’ Notes

  March 11, 2018

  Dear Readers,

You’ve made it through book three! Wow! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed working on this saga. Thanks to all of you awesome readers for following along with The Long Fall series and your feedback in reviews makes it easy to push onward towards the next awesome scene, so make sure you drop a line (even a short one) and let us know what you thought. It’s how I know that we must hurry up those deadlines. :D

Co-authoring has been such a neat experience, and the characters are really like old friends to me now. (I hope it’s the same for you) For this episode, I noticed that we’ve turned up the heat and things are only going to get more harrowing, so hang on tight! I also hope you enjoy the prologues and glimpses into the future of white with Brittany Tanner. She’s showing us that the world does in fact change…forever.

Mike Kraus has been such a great partner in making this series so much more detailed and intriguing. Researching and making a great story together has made it far better than I ever imagined. Thanks to my writing partner, I’ve been able to put together a more intense story with new twists and in a new genre.

I really hope you’ve the continuation of The Long Fall saga and now book four is already shaping up so get ready to keep reading. We’re planning on this being a 10-12 series, with each book being around 25,000-30,000 words long, and we’ll be publishing a new one every month.

I am always open to discuss my books with you on facebook or email me at [email protected].

  Cheers,

  Logan

  Dear Readers,

I really hope you're enjoying the world of The Long Fall! This is a series that is heavily character-driven, as that's a specialty of Logan's, so you'll be seeing lots more character development happening as we go along. Of course, it wouldn't be the apocalypse without bad stuff happening, including things like people dying in strange ways, entire towns falling apart and bad guys showing up to do bad things to good people. (Poor, poor Brittany...)

With book 3 out we're well into the story of this apocalypse as we take a deeper dive into the characters and do a bit of world-building. If this episode of the story felt slower than the first two, that's because we had a lot of pieces to set up on the board. We'll be commencing with the knocking over of said pieces in the next book, so get ready for that.

It's March right now as I'm getting these author's notes written out, and on my other screen I have a spreadsheet pulled up of all of the projects that I've got planned for this year. The number of post-apocalyptic projects is going to keep everyone busy reading and all of us authors busy writing for the year, so I really hope you're ready for more fantastic stories.

A great benefit to working with authors who have different strengths and skillsets is that it gives us the ability to really branch out with what types of stories we're giving readers. Right now I'm working with two other authors, Logan and Justin, and while their strengths are completely different, the stories we're producing are awesome and will appeal to an ever-widening range of readers. Whether you like fast-paced, action filled stories or a bit of a slower burn with high tension and lots of character interaction or the classic "Mike Kraus" experience, we're going to keep writing awesome stories for as long as you keep reading them.

If you enjoyed this episode of The Long Fall or if you didn’t like something—I’d love to hear about it. You can drop me an email or send me a message or leave a comment on Facebook. You can also sign up for my newsletter where I announce new book releases and other cool stuff a few times a month.

Answering emails and messages from my readers is the highlight of my day and every single time I get an email from someone saying how much they enjoyed reading a story it makes that day so much brighter and better.

Thank you so very much for reading this book. We’ll see you in the next one.

  All the best,

  Mike
