“So be it,” he said, looking at her as if he were questioning her motives. “I will finish up here and we can head out tonight. “I don’t know how you live,” Niq said. Alissa could hear the sadness in his voice. She did not reply to him, but she knew he was right. Her life was no kind of life and if she was given a choice, she would have never chosen this life. But she had not beengiven a choice.
She wondered if it would be possible for her to live a normal life once the demon was dead and realized she was allowing this demon to control her life. Alissa picked up her phone and called one of her hunter friends.
