Zeus (Frozen Origin) Page 12

“They have had reports of other gods held at other facilities but have done nothing as of yet. There are at least two smaller facilities like this and a testing facility for what they call demons.”

  “Demons?” Sierra asked confused.

“Failed gods,” Zeus said. “The ones they called failures that they said they destroyed. Do you know where they are?”

“What makes a god a failure?” Sierra asked looking at Zeus.

“They can’t blend in with humans. They are too different, look too different, but apparently they have found uses for them after all. Origin would keep no one that didn’t earn their keep. We have always been told if we were no longer useful, our days were numbered but they always used the demons they said they destroyed as an example. Where are my brothers?”

“My information says Mexico but not far from California.”

“Isn’t that one of the countries that has pledged their support to us?” Zeus asked not understanding how that could be true.

“People and especially governments don’t always do what they say they will, but it is possible that only a faction of the government supports them or even that the government isn’t aware of their presence at all. Welcome to the world of politics and intrigue.” The senator said raising her hands up to indicate he was now in the middle of that world.

“The demons are our first priority because they are being tortured and I don’t think they have been taught skills to defend themselves.” Zeus said looking at both females. The senator was an impressive female risking her career if not her life to help them. She reminded him of Sierra, funny that so far all the strong attractive females he had met reminded him of her. “Can you give me any details?”

She went to her briefcase pulling out a thick file. “All the information I have is in there including the supposed location. You have a lack of transportation and experience on these kinds of missions. I might be able to loan you a couple helicopters, but more would be better. You need to plan well but Sierra will be able to help you better than anyone else I know. Remember, this conversation didn’t happen, we only discussed you buying some outdated military equipment starting with two helicopters and if you were willing to run some dark ops for the US which you are thinking over.”

“Should we?” He asked and she stopped to look at him intently. “Should we run the ops?”

“I would check each op out before I accepted it. It will be difficult and controversial if they want you to do it. The helicopters will be delivered in a week for you to look at.” She paused probably noticing the anxious look on his face. “You can’t run off half cocked. It will probably be two weeks before you can safely carry out this mission. It does them no good if you are killed and they are punished for the attempt. Let Sierra’s team scout the location for you before you make an attempt.” He nodded knowing she was right but the thought that his brothers were being and had been for who knew how long, tortured and mistreated made rage flow through him. Nothing would make this right but freeing his brothers was the first step, vengeance was the second.

“We’ll get everything lined out so we can go scout out things tomorrow. We should stay to watch the site for a couple of days so we see what their security is and try to see if any of your failed gods are on site or contact someone nearby who can.” Sierra said drawing Zeus’ attention. Once he looked at her it was hard to look away, she was so beautiful and tempting to him.

“I need to go now. I will try to get all the intel on the other two sites, they both contain regular gods but those sites have smaller populations than this one. Maybe it would be best if it looks like locals attacked the demon site so they don’t move anyone from the other sites.”

“I can manage that. I have some contacts.”

“I knew you could, Sierra.” The senator gave Sierra a hug before leaving. Zeus didn’t know their relationship but they were obviously close. He wanted to ask her but he was afraid she wouldn’t tell him which would hurt him so he said nothing.

“Tell me, Sierra, why would she risk her career, if not her life, to help us?”

“The senator has always walked the moral high ground. She is also a close and trusted friend to me, Doc, and Way. One of those two must have spoken with her about your situation. Just remember, Zeus, she is risking her career and her life. Don’t let her down.” Zeus nodded uncertain what else he could say.

“The senator has left.” Apollo came into the meeting room where Zeus and Sierra sat each lost in thought. Other gods he had summoned followed him in until the room was overflowing. Some gods had to stand behind chairs since there weren’t enough chairs to sit in.

“I need three gods who can fly helicopters for a mission in two weeks. I need one of those pilots for a trip tomorrow. Eres and two of his team will go on the trip with us. The senator came to see if we had any interest in buying some surplus equipment or we had any interest in doing some missions for the US on an as needed basis. We need the equipment, I want to know what you think of the missions. We don’t have to decide right now but give it some thought. We have gotten some intel through the prisoners and other sources. Some is highly confidential, but we may not be alone, there may be other facilities that Origin ran. Some of our brothers we thought dead, may not be, but we will speak more of this when more information becomes available. It is something that Kyler and his team must not know.”

“Are you sure there are more?” Hades asked with a pained look on his face.

“No, but you can be sure we will find out. Now everyone but Eres, may leave.”

Sierra stayed sure that they would be discussing the mission tomorrow. Hades, Apollo, Ares, and Poseidon all stayed too. “Eres, we have a mission for tomorrow that you and two of your team will go on. We have some proof that our demon brothers weren’t destroyed and instead have been used as experiments. They are being tortured and mistreated so we will free them first.” Zeus pulled out pictures from the folder tossing them on the table.

Eres looked thoughtful probably deciding which of his males would be most helpful on the coming mission. He leaned over to look at the picture Hades had picked up, shock visible on his face. Sierra knew the new position Eres was taking would change the carefree young god. Sure, he had been on missions for Origin since before he was a teen, but the weight of leadership was a heavy burden. His laugh lines would change to worry lines over the years.

“Lucifer.” Hades said with bright eyes that showed his sadness.

Sierra looked at a man with the build of Zeus. He had flaming red hair, bright green eyes, an attractive face, and a huge set of purple wings. Blood ran down his arms although she saw no wounds and the pain of his face was clear to see. She didn’t know him but it made her want to rush to him, free him, and make everything alright. She could see his resemblance to an angel, which was what Lucifer had been before the fall. His name fit his beauty, his red hair looked like the fire said to burn in hell.

“They named him that?” Sierra asked her face showing her admiration of his form and sadness at his condition. Zeus recognized that the demons and gods appealed to females. She could admire them all as long as she remembered she belonged to him. He had noticed this morning that her smell had changed to where she smelled more like him, it pleased him.

“They used demon names for the failed ones. They were experimenting trying to get the right amount of Cronos’ DNA so we would blend in with humans but still have god traits. They used too much when creating the demons. They used less for Ares, Hades, Apollo, Poseidon, and myself, a little less again for Hercules, Eres, and the second level of command, and somewhat less than that for the rest so the leaders would be easy to distinguish and not be challenged. They told us every army must have Generals, Lieutenants, and foot soldiers.” Sierra nodded her understanding and Zeus could see what he had said made sense to her.

They continued the meeting until all the new information had been discussed and the plan ironed out. He couldn’t get to his demon brothers soon e
nough, but he had no choice but to wait and plan. He dismissed the meeting, grabbed his mate’s hand dragging her off to his bed where he would celebrate his own freedom until he could arrange freedom for all his brethren.

She smelled so good, so feminine and sexual. He pulled her in through the door unwilling to wait another moment to claim her. He stripped hoping she would follow his example but she just stood there watching him with a glint of appreciation in her eyes. He moved to her with the grace of a predator pulling her into his arms kissing her with passion and skill while she melted in his arms. He slid her shirt up over her head as he moved back then tossed it to the floor before kissing her once more. The bra unsnapped easily as he pulled it off dropping it next to the shirt. His hands reached up cupping her breasts as he tweaked her nipples until they were stiff peaks that made his mouth water for a taste. Impatient he lowered his mouth to one then the other as he hungrily devoured them. She moaned and he smelled her arousal as she writhed with desire wanting more. He undid her pants sliding his hands around to the back where he cupped her ass feeling the silky barely there panties she wore.

They were a waste of money and space so he ripped them off and slid her pants down. Aching and hard as a rock, he needed her now or he feared he would go crazy. It seemed he took her against a wall as much as in the bed but the thought didn’t stop him from pressing her against the wall behind her and slamming his needy staff deep into her welcoming heat. He groaned low and deep as the pleasure of being inside her rolled over him. He was already on the very edge of release as he started to jack hammer into her not holding back. He slid his hand to her sensitive spot to make sure she came with him when he exploded. She came before him as a scream came from her just as her body spasmed around him clasping him in a near death grip forcing him to shoot his hot load inside her. It spewed forth hot and heavy, jet after jet of his seed going deep into her.

She would surely be the death of him. His breath escaped him as he jerked unable to think of anything but his lovely mate and the feelings they shared. Once they calmed, he carried her to his bed forgetting all about food or anything else except sleeping wrapped around the warmth of his sweet mate. Tomorrow and all they had to do, would come soon enough.

Morning, here already, time to test out the new helicopter. It wasn’t a problem since Eres, Sierra, and most of her team could fly, even Zeus had been trained to even though he didn’t have much practical experience. It was mostly for emergencies which could come up on the types of missions he went on. This mission was just for observation which would be hard for him since he knew his brothers were in pain and needed him. Sierra had a plan which involved meeting some of her friends in the area where the lab that kept the demons was. Her friends, which were locals, would help break in to free the demons so they would help with this stage too. She said it would be good for Eres to meet these people if he was going to work missions. It seemed that Sierra had a lot of contacts, some of them a little shady.

Everyone was loaded except him so he hopped onboard next to his mate. The flight was long and boring so he spent it wrapped around his female listening to educational tapes. It was a habit he had gotten into when Origin had run the missions he was on. Most of the others listened to music or slept along the way. He was relieved when they finally arrived at a nondescript group of buildings. It was surrounded by a fence but the gate was open for their arrival. He could see guards wandering the grounds with rifles in their hands. There were certainly enough of them but Sierra had told him that her friend did a lot of high risk business.

His mate stepped out met by a big guy with coal black hair and eyes. He gave her a hug like he was happy to see her speaking rapid fire Spanish that she seemed to understand. Zeus didn’t like the way the male touched his female but he held back the snarls and growls that tried to force their way out. She had told him the man was a friend and an ally who could be a big help to them. She turned her friend back toward them as they hopped off the chopper to introduce them to him.

“Pedro, this is Zeus.” She said before going through all of his gods that had come along. Her team all seemed to know and like him so they greeted him on their own. He took them to their rooms so they could rest but seemed shocked when she told him she would share her room with Zeus. He didn’t object, he just seemed amazed that she would share her room with a male. It made him feel good to be the first, on a mission that was, because he knew she had been with Kyler at some time.

They went into the room that had a double bed needing to sleep because when they went to the lab where the demons were held, they would have to be careful and alert. The room was simple but clean so sleep should come easily, but it didn’t. Sierra slept almost instantly, but Zeus worried and wondered what was happening to the demons while he was so close but unable to help. He held her close inhaling her scent which helped to calm him somewhat but he still worried that he might be awake the whole time.

Pedro woke them up a few hours later, it seemed Zeus had managed to sleep after all. Pedro, who spoke excellent English, told them his men had been watching the building their friends were said to be in. Sierra hadn’t told him they were demons, Zeus wondered why. They had seen signs of prisoners but they hadn’t actually laid eyes on any. The place was well guarded for a small facility which made Pedro think the prisoners were valuable. He still had managed to get two of his men hired there though they were only allowed to guard outside.

He, Sierra, and part of the team would go to the building with Pedro to see everything for themselves. Zeus felt better to be doing something, so he was ready to go right away. They drove in a hummer and a SUV to within a mile of the place, then they walked in closer. The buildings didn’t look remarkable but he didn’t expect them too since it would draw attention to their elicit activities. The high security fence drew enough attention to them already. He, and those with him, all had binoculars so they kept an eye on the gate where someone was currently pulling up.

“Do you recognize them, Zeus?” Sierra asked gesturing toward the gate.

“One of them was a lab tech at our facility, dirty bitch. The doctors stopped her from causing any harm but she was sadistic and demanded sex from gods she knew found her repugnant. I hope she dies during the attack.”

“You, Zeus? Did she demand sex from you?” Zeus looked at her bright eyes, knew if he lied she would kill the bitch that had tormented many of his men ruthlessly in sexual ways. He couldn’t deceive her, but he could be completely honest which might serve the same purpose.

“No, not me, but Eres was often her target.” He saw anger fill her knowing if the situation was right the lab tech would go down. He looked over at Eres seeing recognition and hate fill his eyes. If that woman was on the premises, she wouldn’t fare well.

They watched for another hour seeing one more SUV come and the one that had arrived earlier leave. It seemed like a lot of activity for a facility of this type. Pedro had somehow gotten the specs and his men had told him there were one hundred twenty five of what they termed inmates kept in a warehouse type building directly behind the main facility. One hundred twenty five of his brothers hidden from them for years. He wanted them back and he wanted them back now but he knew transporting them would be a problem. Normally eleven passengers would fit in the Hueys they would have to transport, but gods were big so ten would be tight. That meant it would take several trips to get them all home, unless they could get some kind of plane. There was a small airfield near Pedro’s place which he probably used to smuggle his illegal loot in or out of his warehouses.

Pedro Garcia was a smuggler, mercenary, and thief but to Sierra he was a friend so Zeus would treat him as such too. Pedro was tall, not as tall as a god, but a little over six feet. He was built like a fighter which was a result of his chosen profession. He lived the way a pirate without a ship would live. His motley crew was held in check by his ability to kick their asses in a fight and the large sums of money they made from the work he found for them. He lived alone enjoyi
ng female company on a nightly basis, but keeping none for more permanent companionship. Zeus thought Pedro would be considered handsome for a human and it was proven by the ease Sierra said he drew women in.

He thought he would speak to Pedro about renting a plane, the thought of getting all his brothers home soon made him feel better. He waited for the opportunity to approach him without Sierra noticing. Sierra bumped him hard on one side, forcing him to shoot her a ‘what the hell’ look.

“I deal with Pedro, you leave him be.” It made him wonder if she could read his mind which disturbed him since he hadn’t been able to read hers.

“No, I can’t read your mind but I can read your expression which seems to be just as good. You’re staring holes into Pedro’s head.” Zeus had heard that females were intuitive, he knew his female was good at everything so it made sense she would be more intuitive than most. He would discuss what was needed with her then she could handle it which suited him better anyway. He shot one last look over his shoulder at the nightmare that his demon brothers were forced to live in. One more week give or take before they would be free with the rest of their kind.

They returned to Pedro’s compound where Sierra planned to meet with Pedro one more time to go over the plan to free his demons. Zeus intended to sit in on that talk, he just needed to hear step by step how they would free them and get them home. They all got out, but Sierra and Pedro went in a different direction, Zeus followed. They entered what he assumed was an office, Sierra started to close the door, but Zeus caught it. “I’m in on this one too. I need to know everything.” She reluctantly stepped back closing the door once they were in.

“Just listen and say nothing no matter what you hear. I’ll explain anything you want to know later. I had hoped to keep you clean of all the dirty details.” Her words confused him but he was sure he would understand soon.

They went through the plan to get his demons out, he had to agree the plan was good. The next part involved completely stripping the facility of anything of value. It made sense so it would be blamed on local criminals instead of his males. She had made a deal with Pedro where the profit was split sixty/forty. Apparently that was the way things were done when getting Pedro’s help on a mission. Pedro got a slightly higher percentage when the mission involved retrieving something live or otherwise. He would loan them a 727 that could hold over a hundred people that they could later purchase for two hundred and fifty thousand if they liked it. The money would come out of the proceeds, so far a good deal even if he hated to profit from a rescue. The plane was so cheap because it was ‘acquired’ and it was an older plane but in good condition having recently been overhauled. He could live with every part of the agreement so far but the next part shocked him. Pedro wanted all surviving personnel. What did he want them for? Could he really allow someone to be enslaved or tortured even if they represented Origin?
