Leone Ross is a critically-acclaimed Jamaican/British writer. Her short stories have been anthologised in the UK, USA, Australia, Canada and Slovakia. Her story “Love Silk Food” was placed second in the 2009 V.S Pritchett Award and a smaller version of this collection, Lipstick Lighters, Pens & Porn was shortlisted for Scott Prize (Salt) in 2011. Her novels are All The Blood Is Red (ARP, 1996) and Orange Laughter (Anchor, 2000). In 2010, Wasafiri magazine named Orange Laughter one of the most influential novels in the last 25 years. Ross’ upcoming third novel is called This One Sky Day. She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English and Creative Writing at Roehampton University, London.
