“As I told you, Dis is my domain. Therefore, my rules, my whims, my desires. My whatever-the-fuck-I-want. And I want you, plain and simple, end of story and no one can do jack-shit about it. Well, not while ever I remain here that is. But why would I ever wish to leave? I have everything I could ever desire.”
Raising her face she kissed him murmuring into his mouth, “Yes. Yes, whatever you have to do, do it. I don’t want to be parted from you ever again.”
Epilogue
Standing out on the verandah, the evening breeze ruffled her hair and Annabelle nursed a cool soft-drink as she watched the sun sink below the horizon as she waited for Lucifer to return. He was up at the stables seeing to one of his horses which had kicked out in its stall and hurt its leg.
The sunset sent brilliant pink, gold and peach flames across the sky before morphing into a rich mauve and gradually the land in front of her was cast into shadow. Behind her the solar night lights flicked on, casting their cheery glow down the length of the verandah. Hearing the sound of his bare feet slapping on the wood she spun around, the ice clinking pleasantly in her glass. She shivered and raising her hand to her throat she slowly stroked the skin watching him.
Placing her glass down on the railing, she smiled and licked her lips feeling the familiar heat unfurling low in her belly at the sight of him. Even though she’d only seen him an hour ago she marvelled at his magnetic allure, the enchanting thrall he cast over her and which she never failed to succumb to.
Not that I’d ever put up a fight.
Bare chested, wearing holey black jeans, now faded to a very sexy steel colour, and a sheen of sweat on his torso, he was the most delicious chocolate in the box. The one you always left to eat last so you could savour it. She remembered how he once told her that she was a rare delicacy and she thought the same was true of him as well.
Laying at her feet like her own personal sphinx, Bedlam banged his tail up and down excitedly as he watched his master’s approach.
“Hello boy, I hope you’ve been looking after my precious jewel carefully.” At the dog’s answering woof he smiled and gave him a quick pat before turning his attentions to Annabelle. “The mare? Is she alright,” she asked placing her hand on his belly. The silky skin beneath her palm was moist and warm and she closed her eyes briefly.
“Yeah she’s fine, it was only a superficial cut to her cannon bone, it’ll heal on its own without a problem. How are you?” he asked her, his brow creasing as he gazed down into her eyes. Embracing her he kissed the top of her head and slowly worked his way down her face and onto her neck.
“Shit you smell so good,” he groaned as he licked the skin of her collarbone.
“I’m fine, we’re fine,” she answered and giggled as his tongue tickled her.
Spinning her around in his arms he pulled her back in against him and placing his hands over her stomach he splayed his fingers, gently stroking. Beneath his tender touch his child wriggled and squirmed and Lucifer laughed with delight.
“I love you Annabelle. I always have and I always will. And soon we shall be three. My world is complete.”
