The Beast 5: Rock the Line Page 4

The master vampire lashed out, the back of his hand connecting hard with Nathan’s face. “I should just kill you now,” he growled. “But I need information.”

The blow forced Nathan’s beast to the surface as he struggled to keep it under control. “I don’t have any information.” The Beast was not a subordinate soul, but neither Nathan nor his beast could fight until the paralytic wore off. “I was in a large room with you and Tyr, we were given the stones, and the next thing I know I’m here.”

“Liar. Nathaniel Greer is dead.” Grief and anger filled that last word.

Dead. It echoed in Nathan’s head. “I’m… where’s Rebekah?”

Guillermo hit him again. “Do not say her name again!”

His eyes slipped as his beast pushed harder to surface. This was the man he loved. Or at least it had been. “Gui, stop this.”

“What does the Brotherhood hope to accomplish by sending you to me? Did they think I’d crumble at seeing a ghost from my past? Did they think I’d embrace the chance to be with someone who looked like Nathan and in this let my guard down? You will never get close to Rebekah. And even if you could, she is too powerful for you or any of your brethren. She will kill you all. Don’t you understand that?”

He leaned forward, planting his fists into the bed next to Nathan, moved his face in close and whispered, “She will kill you all and she will enjoy every minute of it.” Guillermo threw up his hands. “Pah. I’m tired of the deception.”

A tinge of fear edged Gui’s voice -- Nathan could hear it in the slight inflections. He didn’t believe Nathan was Nathan, but something in him wanted to believe. Needed to believe. Nathan remembered the words Guillermo had spoken before the first time they’d become lovers. Those words had been the turning point for Nathan on the path to accepting who and what he had become.

“Light is the real deception. Darkness shows only the truth.”

Guillermo’s eyes softened a bit around the edges, and then narrowed as Nathan continued. “You and I are shades of gray hidden under the illusion the light creates. Without light, all falseness slips away, leaving us shells of our former truth.” Finally able to move his arms, he reached out to Gui. “Look at your reflection in my eyes. You will see in that reflection the one person in this world I trust, the one person I truly love.”

“How did…” The walls were crumbling inside Guillermo; Nathan could see it as his lover sat on the edge of the bed. “Nathaniel is dead.”

“Look in my front pocket. You’ll see the truth. I’m not dead, Gui. What’s been twenty-five years for you has been only a moment for me.”

Guillermo shook his head, his longer locks moving like silk against his shoulders. But he rolled Nathan onto his back, and slipped his hand down into the nearest pocket. The feel of his lover, so close, made Nathan’s cock respond the way it always did when Gui was near, instantly hard and ready. “Wrong pocket.”

Guillermo grunted as his fingers slid over Nathan’s shaft through the cotton fabric of the pocket liner. He reached into the other pocket and withdrew two items -- the third libilis and a platinum ring. His eyes widened as he turned the ring. The inscription, Forever Amante. Moisture rimmed his deep brown, nearly black eyes.

Nathan reached up and touched Guillermo’s sad, weary cheek. “Forever.”

“Can it truly be you?” He shook his head. “I cannot believe it.”

The rest of Nathan’s body started working and he sat up next to Gui, placing his arm around his shoulders. “I know you’ve been through a lot, but it’s me. Really me.”

Gui sighed against Nathan’s chest. He turned his head, meeting Nathan’s lips gently, his tongue sliding across the full lower lip. “Madre de Dios. I know this mouth like it is my own.” He slid completely into Nathan’s arms, holding onto his lover like Nathan was life itself. “Mi amante. Mi amor.” His voice choked, thick with emotion. “How I have missed you.”

  “I am always with you.”

  “Twenty-five years…”

Nathan stroked Guillermo’s face. “Not so long when you are a supernatural, sexy five-hundred-year-old master vampire who makes my dick hard.”

A crooked smile formed on Gui’s lips. “Without you, it is very long.”

  “And hard?”

  “Right now, very hard.”

Smoothing his hand over the front of Guillermo’s pants, Nathan squeezed and wiggled his eyebrows. “Very hard indeed.”

  “Are you coming onto me?”

  “Always.”

Guillermo closed his eyes and said a silent prayer of thanks to Saint Jude. The last time he’d prayed to a saint, or even God for that matter, had been before becoming a vampire. Nathaniel Greer was alive and in his arms. Even if the world stopped minutes from this moment, he would be content.

His tongue traced the curve of Nathan’s collar to the small indention under his Adam’s apple. The salt from his skin, better than any blood, danced across his taste buds. I am home.

Nathan’s hands kneaded over his tight back muscles, massaging their way down with firm, sure pressure until both palms cupped Guillermo’s buttocks. “I want this ass.”

Tilting his head back, Guillermo bit Nathan’s lower lip. “It’s yours.”

Nathan’s full lips opened as Gui slid his tongue between them, sinking into a deeper kiss. His lover’s fangs slid forward, pricking his tongue, drawing just the smallest amount of blood before he sucked the tiny wound as the kiss grew fierce, hungry.

Guillermo nicked him back, their blood mixing in Nathan’s mouth. He stopped and pulled back. “You haven’t fed, amante.” Guillermo licked the small amount of blood from his lip. “You must be in pain.”

“Surprisingly, I don’t feel the hunger. Not today. Not right now.” His mouth captured Gui’s once more, drawing him in, their tongues crossing and darting against each other’s. “I want you, Gui. I want to be in you, fucking you. Nothing else matters.”

And Guillermo wanted Nathan in him, as well. For twenty-five years he’d fucked his way through the entire staff at Corazon de la Muerte and more, but never once, not since Nathan, had he allowed anyone to penetrate him. To be that close. They were animals, chattel, playthings for him to satisfy his hunger and lust, but none did he trust to take as a regular lover.

Stripping quickly, he watched Nathan follow his lead before lying on his back across the bed. He gazed at his lover’s gloriously tanned body, ripped with muscles, broad and firm, a hard erection spearing the air. Coarse brown hair, falling about Nathan’s face, framed his serious green eyes -- those green eyes that Guillermo could lose himself in, and often had.

Nathan took his hand. “Come here.”

Without hesitation, Guillermo joined him on the bed. “Please do not make me wait, Nathaniel. I have waited too long.”

On those words, Nathan flipped Guillermo onto his stomach and a tinge of fear formed in the pit of his stomach. He shook away the fear. This was his Nathaniel. He knew it down to his very core. His core throbbed and ached with desire.

Nathan’s cock slipped along the crack of his ass as the younger vampire kissed his way down Gui’s back, licking and nipping until his mouth rested over his ass. He felt the sharp stick of fangs. Shallow, not deep, playful, as strong hands splayed his cheeks, pulling them apart, wide. “I love this ass. It’s a god’s ass.”

Hair tickled his lower back as Nathan’s head dipped low, his tongue tracing its way to Gui’s tightly puckered muscles. Pressure rimmed the circular rings, wet, firm, and Guillermo moaned as he pushed backward in invitation. “Please, amante,” he begged. “Please.”

Nathan teased him with his tongue, slipped past the first tight ring, then the second. He pulled back, and then thrust it in again, and again, fucking Gui with his mouth. Nathan’s hands slid under him, stroking his cock in the same rhythm, pumping, fucking, until Guillermo felt the burn of orgasm building to a frenzied climax. “Ah!” he cried out. “Dios Mio.”

Nathan withdrew his tongue. “I want to
watch you come.” He flipped Guillermo to his back. His eyes had turned, glowing bright green with hunger and desire. Guillermo watched as his lover automatically reached over to the nightstand as if no time had passed. Nathan withdrew a bottle of lubricant and smoothed the slick substance over his rigid cock before applying it to Gui.

“Rapido,” Guillermo panted. “Fast and hard.”

Nathan moved his hips forward, the tip of his cock pressing against Gui’s opening before he thrust his entire shaft into his lover’s ass. “Oh God!” he bellowed as Gui’s pleasured moans joined his.

Withdrawing and thrusting, in and out, Nathan never took his eyes from Guillermo. Each movement, rubbing so perfectly over the pleasure center in Gui’s canal, building to a point of sweet orgasm. Fingers gripped his cock, stroking, fondling, all the while those green eyes watching.

“I love you, Guillermo. Come for me.”

And those words were enough. “Ahh!” Guillermo’s body bucked forward as ecstasy rolled through him, his cock pumping and spraying as he shuddered his pleasure. Nathan pummeled his ass, extending the rapture until Guillermo thought he would break.

When the orgasm subsided, Nathan was still hard and buried inside him. “You did not come, amante.”

  “I need to feed.”

Guillermo understood. Able to get hard, but not strong enough to generate enough blood to orgasm when one hadn’t fed for a couple of days. And Nathan seemed more anemic than usual. Holding his hands out, Guillermo allowed Nathan to pull him up on his thighs, so they stayed joined. Straddling Nathan’s waist, Gui leaned his head back, baring his throat. “Feed.”

It felt so good to be buried in Guillermo’s ass. The slick channel contracted around his cock, massaging, squeezing. Nathan wanted to come in him, needed to, but he’d been unable. His fangs protracted forward, sliding over his incisors. He plunged them into Gui’s neck, much as he’d plunged his cock in, quick and hard. Guillermo cried out once more, and for a moment, Nathan worried he might have hurt his lover… until he felt Gui’s cock swelling, growing hard against his abdomen.

The blood, Guillermo’s blood, made him feel drunk with power as it always did. The sweet taste of salt, metals, and flesh -- a euphoric combination -- and Nathan felt alive, electricity coursing through his body, sparking off his skin. He drank deeply, unable to think beyond the sensation. He didn’t even realize his skin had started to glow with lights until his hands moved into view when they grasped Guillermo thick black hair to move his neck farther back. He withdrew his fangs. “What the fuck?”

Guillermo grabbed Nathan’s hand and placed it over his own heart. “It beats for you, amante. Only you.”

Eyes widening, hunger satiated, but the lust ever present, Nathan surged forward. He could feel the blood coursing through his veins, pumping, filling his cock until it was stretched taut and rock-hard, threatening to burst. He thrust deep and hard, in and out, as Guillermo’s groans matched his own.

Nathan’s balls drew tight and he stroked the smooth channel of his lover’s ass. “Oh God, oh yes.” Unable to hold back any longer, the orgasm hit him, making his whole body spasm forward as the last of his seed spilled from his cock into his lover’s ass. Guillermo’s orgasm joined his, as the master vampire bucked his hips forward, his canal constricting and contracting around Nathan’s cock, prolonging the pleasure for a few more minutes, until they both collapsed onto the bed.

They watched as the static sparks covering Nathan’s skin sparkled and crackled then died. “Wow. That’s never happened before.”

Guillermo grabbed Nathan and jerked him into a deep kiss, passionate, powerful, tongues and saliva tinted with blood mixed between them. “There can be no doubt,” he managed when he finally pulled away. “You are Nathaniel Greer.”

  “You had doubts?”

Guillermo chuckled, low, sexy, rumbling. “Not anymore.” He smiled, real and true. No longer did the sadness and grief Nathan saw earlier even touch those deep, beautiful, brown eyes.

They stayed, tangled in each other’s arms, content to hold and be held until Nathan spoke. “So, where’s Rebekah?”

  Chapter Five

“Just once I’d love for something to not be complicated. Normal even.” Nathan paced the room. “So you’re telling me that Rebekah, my Rebekah, has grown into a powerful creature that just takes what she wants, kills on a whim, and pretty much runs everything in the state of Missouri?”

“Her ambitions are for more than Missouri. She wants to control all vampire-kind, and I believe she will either succeed or destroy us all.”

“You spoiled her. That’s it.” Nathan threw up his arms. “Why else would she behave like this?”

“Amante.” Guillermo reached out for him, and Nathan sidestepped him.

“Don’t you amante me.” He pointed an accusing finger. “Tell me how this happened.”

Shaking his head, Guillermo sighed. “I nearly forgot how dramatic you could be.”

  Nathan spun on him. “What!”

“Umm, did I say that out loud?”

  “Yes, yes you did.”

“Lo siento, Mi amor. I did not mean to.”

“Right.” Nathan rolled his eyes. “So the Brotherhood was right. Those fucking bastards had the right of it all the time.” He walked over to the nearest chair and slumped down in it. “What can I do, Gui? She’s my daughter.”

“I fear, Nathaniel, she is only your daughter in blood. The woman, Lilith. Her soul is the one Rebekah was born with, and somehow, she’s managed to keep the memories and knowledge of the past with the soul. It is not like a typical vampire reincarnation. She is mortal. She can die. But to try to kill her is death. Her magic doesn’t seem to work well on humans, but on vampires…” He shrugged. “It is swift and merciless.”

  “I need to see her.”

“I do not think it wise.”

“I don’t give a shit. Wise or not, she’s my daughter.”

“I am going to lose you again, amante. I cannot bear it.” He pulled his shirt back to expose the left side of his chest. “You should just kill me now because I cannot take this living death without you.”

“Now who’s being dramatic?” Nathan stood, went to Guillermo and hugged him. “I think we should bring Nadine and Tyr into this, come up with some kind of plan.”

  “Tyr and Nadine?”

“Uh, yeah. Back at the house.”

“I knew Nadine stayed there, but I thought…”

“Oh. Oh! You thought Tyr was dead.”

“After he went loco, yes, I ordered him killed.”

  “What? How could you, Gui?”

“You were gone. I wanted to end his suffering. It seemed like the… humane thing to do. I cannot believe Nadine defied me.”

“Well, she loves him. Really loves him. You can’t even imagine what she’s gone through all these years. Keeping him sedated, caring for him, never knowing if that was all she would have of him.”

Guillermo nodded, the deep sadness once more returning to his eyes. “I can imagine. I am not angry with her.” His gaze met Nathan’s. “How is she? Nadine, that is?”

  “You haven’t seen her?”

“Not for years. Not since…” Guillermo took Nathan’s hand. “Not since Nan passed on. Nadine and your mother had grown very close over the years.”

“Mo… How? How did she die?”

“She was an old woman who had lived a full life. She passed in her sleep a year after her husband died.”

“You could have turned her, Gui. You could have made her immortal, one of us.” Everything had changed. Everything. His mother, gone, Nathan couldn’t believe it -- wouldn’t.

“I offered, amante, but you know your mother. She was a headstrong woman. A Christian, who felt her place was with you and her husband in the beyond.”

“I’m not there. I’m not… Oh God, what if there is a heaven, what if she’s there and I’m not, and she thinks I’ve gone to hell.”

  Smoothing Nathan’s hair, Guille
rmo soothed, “If there is a heaven, then Nan knows. She knows you are alive and here on Earth. She knows, amante, and she is watching over you.”

With thoughts of Nan floating over him while he fucked Gui, Nathan grimaced. “Oh God.”

As if Guillermo could read his mind, the master vampire laughed. “I am certain Nan will cover her eyes during the more illicit parts of your life.”

  “I certainly hope so.”

“I also forget what a prude you can be. Part of your charm, though.” Guillermo grinned.

“Yes, you said that out loud, too.”

Guillermo nonchalantly examined his fingernails. “I meant to say it aloud.”

“Smart ass.” He waved his hand. “By the way, what happened to your hair?”

  Chapter Six

Nadine embraced Nathan as he walked through the front door then froze at the sight of Gui. “I…”

“It is good to see you, chica.”

  “It’s been awhile.”

“I’ve missed you, but I understand now why you quit working for me.” He held out his hand and Nadine took it, allowing Guillermo to draw her into a warm hug. “How is Tyr?”

“Doing better now that Nathan is back,” a rumbling voice came from the dining area before Tyr walked in. He was dressed in his favorite attire, black slacks, a blue button-down shirt, crisply ironed, and black loafers. Nathan knew the entire outfit cost several thousands of dollars because it was perfectly tailored to Tyr’s seven-foot, broad physique.

Gui released Nadine. “You cut your hair, amigo.”

Tyr nodded as Nadine walked over and slipped her arms around his waist. “You’ve grown yours.”

The tension in the room was palpable. Nathan stepped to the center of the formal living room. “We have a problem boys and girl. Guillermo has told me about Bekah, and we need a plan.”

Nadine went paler than normal. “To kill her?”

“Are you nuts? Uh, I mean…” This was the new Nadine, and he needed to play nice. “She’s my daughter. I don’t want to kill her. Just figure out a way to get things back on track.”
