“That’s not the point,” Korben hisses quietly. “I don’t know if I like the idea of turning so many of the women lose simply for the chance that they will give one my brothers a chance. You are asking too much of me, Blythe.”
“Korben, please,” I say. “I know it’s a lot, but you’ve got to remember some of these girls have been separated from their friends. They need to know they’re okay. Think about it. Would you like it if I separated you from Azan or Hujun?” His eyes widen at the idea. “Would you truly be able to enjoy your time with me when you don’t know if your friends are okay? Or even alive?”
“They are well.”
“You know that’s not why I’m using that example. Korben, the girls, want to know if they’re okay. Lacey and Alaska, especially.”
“The yellow-haired one,” he sniffs. “She is trouble.”
“She’s worried about her friends. Just the same way you would be. And honestly, I’m worried about them too. Taya is young, and Phoebe was hit by one of the Todas. I want to know if she’s okay as well. Please, Korben. Don’t make me beg. It makes me feel like a whore.”
He looks stung by this. “You… you do not have to beg me for anything. You must give me some time to process this request.” Furrowing his brows, he suddenly turns to me. “And what about the others? Are any of them interested in staying here with us?”
“Yes,” I say quietly. “More than you know. Therefore I want you to strike while the iron is hot.” His expression turns puzzled, and I’m sure he doesn’t understand what I mean. “All I’m saying is that you’ve got some of them on your side, and you can get the rest of them simply by taking the girls to the surface. Let them see the rain. Let them see they’re free in ways other than choosing who’s going to fuck them.” It’s a brutal way to word things, but I want to get my point across. “They’re willing to stay, Korben. You can still create the world you want, but you’ve got to take steps that make you uncomfortable as well.”
He rolls over to his side in bed, staring with those intense yellow eyes. It’s hard not to melt under that gaze.
“If this is truly important to you… and the others, of course, I cannot deny your request. I know who I trust most above ground, and they will escort any of the interested women to the surface and the other lair.”
“Really?” I ask, kissing him. “You mean it? Just like that?”
“Just like that.” He smiles, returning the kisses. “Haven’t I told you already? I can deny you nothing.” He kisses me several more times, but before things can get more serious, he pulls away. “But I must warn you; it may be overwhelming for a time. Some of these women may want to come back to our lair to be with their friends. Some may want to stay at the smaller lair. Are you alright with that?”
I consider the options. York isn’t going anywhere. Neither is Ellis. And I’m excited by the idea of Alaska and Kansas leaving. Maybe I can even convince Taya and Phoebe to come back here so I can keep a close eye on them. There are more Sidyths here, but I’m sure we can be more supportive than Arizona and Dakota.
“You said everyone over in the other lair is young, right?” I ask.
“Most are not interested in finding a Chosen.”
“Most?”
“Some start young, and some of them may find the one they want to choose tomorrow. Do you understand more Sidyths will be coming here as well?”
More? It’s hard not to feel a little intimidated with meeting more Sidyths, but I have to remember that this isn’t just for me.
“It’s worth the gamble,” I say quietly. “So long as the ones like Dolan can keep it together. Layla agreed to stay, but she’s a little shaken up by him. He needs to leave her alone.”
“I think Dolan will give her some space. Though I must tell you that the one Dolan is interested seems to be interested in Exer.”
“Exer? The one with no scales?”
“He has a few,” Korben explains. “And that bears the problem. Exer seems to be interested in the one with the bloody hair.”
“Sloane?” My eyes widen, before remembering the heated looks he was passing. “Well, shit. Maybe it’s good we’re going to bring others into the mix. I don’t want to have some nasty alien love triangle going on.”
“I am not sure I follow, but I get the gist.” Korben shakes his head.
We lean back in bed for a few moments, silent and staring at the ceiling. I swear I can almost hear the rain pounding above. It makes me feel like a Borrower, trapped under the floorboards, but about to see the real world for the first time. It’s exhilarating and scary all at the same time.
“Do you believe some of the women will find happiness like you have with me?” Korben asks quietly.
“I don’t know,” I admit. “All I know is some of them want to keep an open mind. And that’s more than we can ask for, right?”
“Because we are Sidyth,” Korben concludes. “If our reputation was not so awful I am sure that most of the women would leap at the chance to stay. But because of the race my father and the generations before him have built, they hesitate. It is frustrating, to say the least.” He covers his face with his forearm, and my heart aches for him a little.
“Hey,” I whisper, rolling to crawl on top of him. I grab his face in my hands and lower to give him a deep kiss. His eyes are hooded but still so sad. “It’s going to take some time, Korben.”
“It didn’t take you long.”
“But doesn’t that help you feel all the more special?” I ask, kissing him again. This time, there’s a hint of a smile when I pull away. “Doesn’t that reassure you that I’m special?” I say in a teasing voice.
His fingers curl into my hair, bringing our lips together. It’s a slow, sensuous kiss, one that feels different than so many of the others.
“I always knew you were special.” He smiles into my hair before dropping some more spine-tingling kisses mixed in with that heaven-sent forked tongue. “But it’s always nice to have it reaffirmed.”
“Then I guess I should reaffirm you.” I grin wickedly, dropping my attention to his pants. It’s hard not to laugh when I see his cock is already standing at half-mast.
“Are you sure you’re in the mood?” he asks, probably wondering what makes human women so greedy. Well, if human males had enormous rainbow dicks, I’m sure there would be a lot more blow jobs.
He falls silent as I slide his shorts away, exposing his dick.
“You don’t seem like you’re against the idea,” I tease, licking my lips. The heat lamps in the room hit the scales on his dick just right. “Taste the rainbow.”
“Taste…” His eyes widen in surprise. “You don’t mean…”
And then I silence him by dropping my mouth to his dick. I take in the tip first, sucking gently, trying to get a feel for how much of his length I can take at once. Immediately, I taste the precum beading from the tip, and I moan against the sensitive skin.
“Oh,” Korben moans. “Sidyth women… Sidyth women… they do not do this.”
I smile between sucking, flicking the head with my tongue and enjoying his involuntary reactions. He’s muttering incoherently while I suck, warning me that he’s too big for my mouth to take, but I plan to prove him wrong.
Very wrong, indeed.
I pick up the pace, finding a rhythm as I drop down to the base and return the tip, surprised that I can take the whole thing. I guess the gag reflex classes at the academy have finally paid off. I can feel Korben watching me. Did he mention how Sidyth women never sucked dick? They don’t know what they’re missing out on. I moan as I take the head back between my lips, savoring Korben’s indescribable flavor.
“You are like magic,” Korben grunts, fisting some of my hair. “How can you take… how can you take all of me? Does your throat expand?”
“Something like that,” I mutter between kisses on the tip.
“Blythe,” he moans, leaning back again. “I’m going to cum. Oh, Blythe… I’m going to—”
I
cup his sack, surprised how it’s much like a human’s other than a few stray scales.
And then Korben breaks completely. Hot seed pours into my mouth and Korben spasms and cries out as I swallow the delicious nectar. God, I can’t believe how sweet it is. Dick doesn’t just look like Skittles; there’s a hint in the taste too behind the smokiness.
“Oh… Blythe,” Korben moans as I fall back into bed against him. “You are…”
“Yes?” I say innocently, blinking.
“You are unbelievable.”
It’s so hard not to smile when my eyes close.
“I try.”
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
Blythe
The following morning, there’s excitement in the air. All the girls in the Gathering Room are excited, and even Alaska can’t hide her approval as I give the good news that we’ll all be going above ground and to the other lair. I can tell she’s a little pissed I was able to follow through, but even more relieved to know Arizona and Dakota are okay.
“Do you think it’s raining today?” Krista asks excitedly.
“I hope so,” Sloane says. “I could have sworn I heard something last night.”
“Me too,” I say, wanting to be part of the conversation. “I swear it was like a little pitter patter on the ceiling.”
Everyone hums, but there’s no more talk of the rain. I’m still trying to find my place in our little group, and a sick part of me hopes I can be more involved once some of the other girls come back. I mentally take note of everyone who’s there with Ellis and York’s help, trying to remember there should be twenty of us all together.
Arizona and Dakota. Little Taya who never says anything. York reminds me of the others – Phoebe with the white blond hair and large blue eyes. Adrienne and Mia.
I whistle. “There’s not a lot of them over there, are there? Doesn’t make sense to break us up so unevenly.”
“Yeah,” York agrees. “And there might have been less there if not for Alaska and Phoebe. I guess your prince had his reasons.”
“I guess so,” I muse quietly, looking around the room. It looks like everyone is going to come to the surface for the first time, but I can’t help but notice Rene and Devyn looking the most excited of all. They’re stretching and jumping around as though preparing for a mini-marathon. I can only hope they’re not planning to train again right away. This isn’t what the trip is about, but instead of making things worse by accusing them of anything, I turn away.
“Shall we go?” Korben’s voice rumbles across the room, and all the girls turn excitedly to find him, Hujun, Azan, and a few others standing around him. “The weather above is not raining, so we’ll all be able to go with you.”
“So what if it was raining?” Devyn asks. “Can’t some of you tolerate the rain?”
Korben clears his throat but offers no answer. Rene whispers something to her, and they continue to nod.
“So no rain?” Ellis asks, pouting.
“There will plenty of rain for those who wish to see it,” Hujun rumbles, softening his look when his eyes land on Ellis. She blushes and lowers her head, and Korben continues to speak.
“As Hujun said, there are plenty of rainy days here, but today is not going to be one of them. Most of my brothers will be coming with us, not only to enjoy some sun basking but to also see the others who were not brought to this lair originally. So please be prepared. If one of my brothers is someone you are trying to get to know, I would advise you to request that he stays.” It’s an awkward statement, but I get where he’s coming from. If you like something you see, try to hold on to it, because he may want something better.
It’s a sick, sad world no matter what planet you’re on.
Men are always looking to upgrade.
I turn to see if Ellis or York move forward to claim a Sidyth, but they remain in the back, silently talking to the others. I thought they would want to claim Azan or Hujun, but maybe the males aren’t the only ones looking to upgrade. I almost laugh because things are so different. Sidyths are tending to human women. Women are being given a chance to find a mate of their preference. It’s all so crazy and new.
The walk to the second lair isn’t nearly as bad as the first, and maybe that’s because it was raining the first time. I was so overcome with fear; I was hardly able to notice the difference between the two lairs.
Or maybe it’s difficult because all the Sidyths strip off their shorts as soon as the sun hits their pale skin.
“What the hell?” Krista screams, still not bothering to shield her eyes. “Is this normal?”
Hujun looks at her with a calm, yet sour expression. “Prince Korben did inform you that we were going to sunbathe, did he not?” He swings his shorts over a thick shoulder. “This is how we bathe in the sun.”
“And what? You gotta problem with tan lines?” Aoi asks. “Good God.”
Despite the initial shock, most of us are looking at the Sidyths with obvious interest. Maybe they’re trying to scope out the goods, and finally realizing one of the many reasons Korben is so special to me. Sidyth men are hung. It’s glorious to see so much cock glistening in the sunlight. And I’m pleased to find that few have a rainbow dick as vibrant and eye-catching as Korben’s. It fills me with pride, and no part of me feels embarrassed to see so much cock. It’s a pleasurable sight, and I’m not the only one enjoying it.
Some of the Sidyths have already abandoned the walk to the second lair, choosing to lie on their back and let one of the two suns land directly on their skin. The fuckers practically sparkle in their nude glory, and though I’m sure most of the girls are desperate to make it to the other lair and make sure the other girls are okay, some are willing to trust their word and hang out with the Sidyths.
I wish I could be one of them. It would be wonderful to lie out and stare at Korben’s dick all day, but I know he’s one of the Sidyths expected to make it all the way to the second lair, and it would look best if I were there with him.
Pity, though.
“There it is.” Korben points ahead to a gaping hole in the earth.
There’s an unfamiliar Sidyth standing in front of the space, and as he sees us approaching, he barks into the hole and turns back to us.
“We were worried you weren’t going to bring the women.” He smiles, eying me up without shame. “And who is this delightful piece of flesh?”
Korben hisses. “Dash, this one is not available for anything. She is mine. Do you understand?”
The Sidyth shrugs. “No matter. I am sure there are plenty more for the choosing.” He pushes Korben aside and looks up the path, noticing more of the girls and plenty of naked Sidyth. “We decided to wait for you all before letting the women out. They’re skittish little things, aren’t they? Although,” his eyes drop to mine, “it’s obvious some can be trained, as I see.”
“That’s enough, Dash,” Korben grumbles. “Have you brought all the others? This one along with the others would like to make sure they were taken care of. I am to assume this is okay?”
Dash grins, and it’s jarring to see. Korben, Azan, and Hujun are so secretive with their emotions, but this one before me – Dash – seems to have a variety of them that he is not afraid to display. He’s a shorter Sidyth, but not ugly in the slightest. He also looks younger than most of those I’ve been interacting with.
“Which ones would you like to see first? Shall we put on a show? I can have my father send over some of the finest restraints—”
“That is enough, Dash,” Korben snarls, stepping forward and seizing Dash by the arm. “I know what kind of past you have with humans, but that is not going to be the case here. And if you try anything, or I hear that you’ve tried anything already, you might as well start running because I will chase you to the Colder Grounds.”
Dash narrows his eyes, but it’s playful. “I’m only teasing, Prince Korben,” he says, still grinning like an idiot. There’s something about his behavior that puts me on the defensive I don’t want to know a
bout his past with humans. But still, it’s hard to focus because when Korben releases him, he calls into the hole again and I hear voices.
Familiar voices.
“It’s about time, Sparky!” Arizona’s voice snaps from the darkness. “I’ve been getting bored down here with all you kiddos. Time for some real men.”
Dash turns back. “That one, feel free to take her back with you.” He rolls his eyes before thrusting his hand towards the hole.
Arizona stands before me, as elegant and as poised as ever. She glances up and down with pursed lips, and I fight the urge to step away from Korben, so she doesn’t come to any conclusions without me talking to her first.
“They’re exchanging pleasure,” Alaska says from behind me.
So much for that.
Arizona’s face brightens considerably at the sight of Alaska and Kansas, and within a few moments, all of them are reunited again, hugging and laughing. It’s odd to see Alaska and Kansas so happy after these few days, but there’s unmistakable joy on all of their faces as they hug Arizona and Dakota. Everyone’s looking great so far and my heart hiccups with excitement.
They’re okay. They’re really okay.
“Where’s the rest?” Korben rumbles.
“Relax,” a new Sidyth says as he appears from the hole. “Some of these ones you sent us are a little timid. They think this is a trick or something.” He shakes his head as though he can’t understand it and lights up when his eyes land on me. “Oh, hello. I’m Drozass.” He thrusts out his hand. “This is how you humans like to say hello, right?”
I’m stunned. “Right,” I say, placing my hand in his. Long, graceful fingers curl around my hand before releasing it. And though it isn’t a perfect handshake, it’s a welcome change. “I’m Blythe.”
“My Chosen.” Korben voice hints of possessiveness.
“Wow,” Drozass says, not missing a beat. “That’s wonderful. Did this happen on the first day? No one tells us anything lately, and the rain?” He looks up to the sunny skies, “this is the first break we’ve had in a while.” He turns away before I have a chance to answer his question, and the last of the girls come out of the space, blinking and looking a bit disheveled.
