“Are you sure, I don’t want to hurt you.”

Once again I kiss him, trying to get my mind off what is sure going to hurt. He starts to speed up, my juices helping him guide in easier. With one finale thrust he is in all the way, ending the kiss. I bite the inside of my cheek to keep from hollering out. He stays still, until I move my hips trying to get him to move again.

This appears to do the trick, because he starts to get into a rhythm. That soon has him growling low in his throat. My hands go to his back, pulling him closer to me, wanting to feel more of his weight. My nails dig into his skin at the same time he reaches between us finding my clit again.

While his thumb rubs small circles on my clit, I feel some of the pain turning into an amazing pleasure. Every time he pulls out, I get closer and closer to coming apart underneath him. I can feel my walls starting to tighten up. He adds more pressure to my clit, rubbing in quicker circles.

“Cum for me Gorgeous.” He growls into my neck.

That is all it takes, I come undone beneath him. Shaking from the force of my orgasm. His thrusts get a little harder, at the same time I feel him tighten above me. He kisses me one last time, moving my hair out of my face, looking me in the eyes.

When he pulls out, the soreness causes me to tense up. Jasper looks at me, compassion in his eyes. I just smile at him, not wanting him to think there is any regrets. He does that stupid crooked grin. The one that makes him look even more handsome, and gets up, walking to the bathroom. Allowing me to get a glimpse of the perfect butt I can’t help but drool over.

Returning from the bathroom, he picks me up out of bed, and carries me to the shower. The water is warm, spraying against my already damp skin. Jasper gets in behind me, grabbing the soap off the shelf attached to the showerhead. He rubs the soap in his hands, making white suds, and then starts to soap up my back.

Lying in bed, I feel clean and refreshed, thanks to Jasper. He washed my whole body, making sure to rub my muscles, relaxing me. When I tried to return the favor, he told me to go lay down, that he wouldn’t be long.

When He finally emerges, looking stunning with the towel wrapped around his waist and stray water beading down his body. He walks to the far wall blanketing the room in darkness when he turns off the light. I feel the bed dip in to my left right before two strong arms grab me rolling me over to my side. Jasper tucks me into his body placing a gentle kiss on my bare shoulder.

“I’m sorry I took off like that.” I say, “I panicked and I needed to get out of there.”

He says nothing, which makes me feel even more guilty.

“I’m not like normal girls. Love is not something I want to feel. Love causes nothing but pain.” I whisper the last words.

He wraps his arms around me tighter, trying to comfort me without words. I’m getting frustrated, not being able to express to Jasper the way I feel about him. He is never afraid to show me how he feels. I can see the love shining through his eyes with every look. I can feel the way he loves me with every kiss. I can hear the love in his voice when he talks to me. Sitting here in the dark, I say the only thing I want to, the only thing I can, to let him know how I feel.

“Jasper, I want to be yours.” I twist around in his arms. “I don’t ever want to be anyone else’s.”

“That was always the plan, Gorgeous.” He says right before he kisses me.

  Chapter 24

  Jasper

It is Sunday night, I’m at the gym punching this bag, imagining the exact spot on Liam’s chin I’ll hit in just over a week. I will break him, in front of his fans, in front of his family, and in front of his team. There is no doubt, no scenario where his hand is the one raised at the end of the night. At the beginning of this camp, there were no ill feelings between him and I. That is no longer the case. He has tried to come after what is mine. Candice is naïve enough to believe he just wants to be friends. I’m a guy, I know exactly what he is thinking when he looks at her, it’s the same thing I think. That is why I will beat him within an inch of his life and smile while I’m doing it.

We ate dinner as planned with Dalton’s parents last night. Everything went great, Carolina instantly loved Candice. Trevor just loves to see his wife happy. I could tell Candice was nervous from the way she was acting. I was very proud of her for doing it for me, so I showed her just how much later on that night.

Sweat is pouring down my face getting into my eyes. Calling it a night I move around the bags and make my way to walk over to locker room. After showering and putting on some clean clothes, I find myself thinking of the last time I seen Janice. I haven’t seen her since that douche bag hit her. I would have usually gone by the house feeling guilty by now, but I haven’t so much as thought about it until now. Maybe I should just swing by there. I usually become a huge bastard after seeing her, and I don’t want to end up being a dick to Candice at school tomorrow. My mind made up, I make the drive home and fall asleep dreaming of the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen.

I arrive at Candice’s house in the morning, just in time to see her walking down the path, smiling at me. She has her hair up for school today, in a tight ponytail. Carolina bought her a sheer long sleeve shirt that she put over a purple tank top. Getting out of the truck, I walk around to open the passenger door, so I can get a perfect look at that ass in those tight jeans. She looks over her shoulder at me, knowing exactly what I am doing.

We get to school and make our way to the spot we deem ours. No one comes to bother us over here, not even Dalton and K.J. This is the only time during school I have her all to myself and I let them know early on interruptions would not be tolerated.

I pull Candice into my arms giving her a quick kiss, then turn her around, and take the necklace I bought her out of my pocket. I latch it around her neck quickly, before she can protest.

“You said you wanted to be mine. Did you mean it?”

“Yes. Thank you for giving me this again, I promise to wear it next to my heart every day, happily knowing this is a little piece of you I can have when you’re not with me.”

We are now sitting at lunch, and everyone in our group is here currently staring at Candice, shock evident on their faces. She is laughing at something Dalton just said.

“What? You guys act like you have never heard me laugh before.”

“You’re really starting to freak me out.” Izzy says, “First you come to school with your hair up, now you are laughing at everything this pervert has to say, and you got this twinkle in your eye that was never there before.”

“Maybe she just gets my humor, unlike your dull minded self.”

“Or maybe she is not laughing with you, but laughing at you.” Bethany says, looking at Dalton.

“I do recall all the noises I had you making Friday night, and none of them were laughter.” Dalton replies.

Bethany starts to turn red, mumbling something to the group before getting up and walking out of the lunchroom doors.

“Real smooth asshole, you all but insured the only noise you hear in her presence will be the buzzing that comes along with silence.”

“Fuck you too K.J.” Dalton says, before running off to find Bethany.

“I know!” Izzy shouts suddenly, “You got laid.”

Now it’s Candice’s turn for her cheeks to turn red, “Why don’t you keep your thoughts to yourself, better yet, why don’t you not worry about Candice and her hair, when yours is in need of some of TLC. “

“Jasper!” Candice yells, “That was really rude and uncalled for.”

“No that’s alright Candice, he is right, I should try to mind my own business. It is the one thing my mom drills into my head too.”

The bell rings, and Izzy doesn’t wait for anyone. She just leaves the table, throwing her trash away before escaping out of the doors.

I walk with Candice to our next class together, holding her hand, not letting anyone touch her. Once there I notice K.J. standing over Izzy’s desk, he is leaning down, whispering some
thing he wants no one else to hear. I see the smile return to her face, right before he stands back up to his full height, turning to walk away. The look he gives me tells me everything I need to know. He is pissed, surely this can’t be about what I said.

I move to Candice’s side, trying to guide her to her seat, with my hand on the small of her back. She turns toward me, placing her hand on my chest. She looks at Izzy from the corner of her eye, silently begging me with those beautiful blues to apologize. It doesn’t take long for me to agree, considering the look she is giving me. I give her a quick kiss on the cheek, then walk over to Izzy’s desk, leaning down like K.J. did just a moment ago. Just not quite as close.

“I shouldn’t have said the shit I did, you are Candice’s friend, so I apologize.”

“No need to apologize, you were just defending your woman. I should have never called her out in front of everyone like that.”

“Great, now that everyone has apologized” Candice says looking between the two of us, “We can all go back to being our normal selves, agreed?”

“Yeah, I can go back to overlooking his caveman ways.”

“And I can continue to just ignore her.”

“So chicka, my mom has been on my case about my wardrobe, she says I dress like a toddler from the wrong side of town. You wanna go with me to the mall after school Friday? We could even invite your aunt.” Izzy asks.

“Sure, My aunt has been asking to spend some girl time with me, I’ll talk to her tonight.”

I drop Candice off at school, it’s now Friday, and I’m on my way to the gym. I’m going to be doing some light sparring with Dalton today. Candice is going to text me when she is done at the mall. Dalton thought it would be fun to go play laser tag at the arcade tonight. I just wanted to go back to the house and spend some time alone with Candice. She promised to spend the night, just as long as I went and pretended to have a good time.

I arrive at the gym a few minutes late and walk through the doors heading straight to the locker room to get ready. Fully expecting to see Dalton in the cage waiting on me, I quirk my eyebrow up at K.J. when I see him instead.

  “Where is Dalton?”

“I told him to take the day off from training. The way I see it, you did something this week to piss me off, and I consider you family, so I’m going to kick your ass.”

  “Alright asshole, fair enough.”

I step into the cage, swinging my arms, loosening my muscles and getting my blood flowing. Bouncing on the balls of my feet, I can sense that K.J. is not going to wait for Josh to ring the bell.

He charges forward, right before he reaches me, he leans into a spinning back hill kick that lands right on my abdomen. It hurts like hell, and I’m sure there will be a huge bruise tomorrow, but the pain feeds the darkness in me. I smile at him when I land a kick of my own to his leg. We both observe each other, reading each other’s signs for their next move. When I see his right hand twitch just a fraction, I know he is about to over extend and come at me with a combination.

He does exactly that, so I sidestep his hit, and return one. Landing it on his right cheek. I could have caught him on the chin, but this is too much fun, no need in ending it quickly. We exchange for a few more minutes. Neither one of us willing to quit, even though my eyebrow is bleeding, and he has a busted lip with blood running down his chin.

  “ENOUGH!”

Roy is yelling from the outside of the cage, looking directly at me, smoke coming out of his ears.

“Have you lost your damn mind boy, your fight is in eight days, you know you should not be sparring like this. You could injure yourself.”

I look over at K.J. willing to continue. I have never and will never back down from anyone. He wanted to get me in this cage for a reason, it’s his choice. He nods his head over at Roy, then sticks his fist out for me to touch gloves. I touch his glove with my own and walk toward the open cage door where Roy is waiting on me.

  Chapter 25

  Candice

The mall is not that crowded, it being a Friday night in November, I assumed it would be. On the way here, I was told numerous times we are here to shop til we drop, and gossip about boys. Not being a big fan of either, I am just trying to grin and bear it. Izzy did promise to take me to the music store in the mall, so at least I have something to look forward to.

Bethany is walking beside me and we are currently trailing behind Izzy and my aunt. They have walked into every store buying nothing. Their philosophy is look in every store then go back and buy the things you want. It seems to be a waste of time to me. Not wanting to go into the next shop, I tell the group that I’m headed off to the bathrooms, and I’ll meet them at the food court in twenty minutes. This gives me plenty of time to find the bathroom. Plus, it gives them time to browse another store.

I find the bathrooms quickly. We were just two shops down from them. Sitting at a table at the entrance of the food court on the third floor of the mall, I see someone walking towards me from the corner of my eye.

Liam gets to my table, looking handsome as ever, wearing a pink button up shirt, and faded blue jeans. His eyes roam over my body, probably wondering why I am wearing this hoodie in a mall that is a little warm. When he reaches my table, he reaches down pulling me up by my hand, encasing me in his arms holding on tight. Not wanting to be rude, I give him a couple of awkward pats on the back, my skin crawling from his unwanted touch. I have never told him I don’t like to be touched, it’s not something you can just say without the other person wanting an explanation. He breaks the hug, stepping back out of my personal space.

  “How have you been beautiful?”

“I’ve been good, how about you?”

“Just training for the fight” He says while looking around us, “Where’s your body guard?”

“If you mean Jasper, he is training at the gym. I’m here having a girls shopping trip. I had to use the bathroom so we decided to split up.”

“Do you mind if I sit with you?”

“Not at all, have a seat.”

Thankfully he takes the seat in front of me. There are a lot of people from school at the mall, the last thing I need is for someone to tell Jasper we were sitting beside one another looking a little too comfortable. It’s bad enough someone might have seen the hug, but hopefully they are smart enough to know it was nothing.

“I didn’t get to properly apologize for ruining your birthday, I had no idea London had it out for you.”

“No need to apologize, everything is fine. I’m just glad you didn’t leave with a busted eye again.”

“Well how does it feel to be an adult? You have any big plans?”

“Nothing too big, just want to finish high school, then off to college to build up my debt trying to get a degree, like every other young adult.”

“Oh yeah, I’m sure you will be there to party, not study.” Liam says, winking at me from across the table. He is currently looking directly at me. I can tell he wants to say something; he just doesn’t know how.

“You know,” I say looking directly at him, “If you just get it off your chest you’ll feel better.”

He quirks up his eyebrow, “How did you know I had something to say?”

“Let’s just say I can read people. Now say what it is you want to.”

“I just want to remind you that I had no clue London was such an evil troll. As soon as I found out what she was up to I told her to never contact me again.”

The mere mention of London’s name has me on instant alert. That girl has been after me since day one, thinking I stole Jasper from her. He has told me on several occasions, they were not an item, and he never touched her. It took some time, but eventually I realized he was telling the truth, that she is just a depraved lunatic out to claim my head.

“After we left the party, she was babbling on about this guy she is writing to. She says he is the perfect person to destroy yours and Jasper’s relationship. She didn’t tell me much, just a name. Christopher Price, doe
s that sound familiar to you?”

All I see is blackness around and there is white noise playing in my ears, making the pounding in my head worse. I try to move my hand up to my ears, to try to drown out the noise, but my movements are slow and sluggish. It feels like I’m in quick sand, barely able to move.

My right eye is opened, a bright light shining directly in it. I try to blink but there must be something holding it open because I can’t. The same process is done with my left eye then my sense of smell comes back in full force when something is rubbed under my nose. This seems to kick all my senses in to gear, I open my eyes, and take the scene in before me.

“Candice, nice to have you back.”

A mall security cop is kneeling beside me, smiling down at me, kind of creeping me out. I turn my head and take note that the girls are now at the food court. Along with thirty other people. I move to sit up. Just as the security cop is about to help me. Liam reaches out and grabs my shoulders, keeping me steady.

I see Aunt Stacy all but shove Liam out of the way, which would normally be funny, but the look of worry on her face has me holding in my laughter.

“Oh honey, are you alright? What happened?”

The question has my memory quickly reminding me of the last thing that happened. Which can’t be real, because there is no way London found out about my past, and is currently plotting my demise with my biological father.

“I’m fine, just forgot to eat today.”

I look over at Liam, trying to convey a message with my eyes. He needs to keep his mouth shut, there is no need to worry Stacy with something that is just a rumor right now.

“I just need to eat something.” I say to her, “Would you mind getting me something to eat, while Liam waits here with me. I just need to take it easy for a minute.”

“Not a problem honey, I’ll go grab us something, I’ll be right back.”
