“I always know.” I shrug.

“You’re the only one who ever sees me,” he mutters and huffs.

“Stalker,” I tease, and he laughs, squeezing me harder.

Our wedding had been beautiful, like a fairy tale, but more intimate for me and my private love. Some of the guests had been…interesting, to say the least. I learned not to ask any questions, not when they had the same eyes and hard exterior as my husband. Although I did laugh when I saw Nadia cosying up to Keanu. The combination of panic and lust in his eyes made for great entertainment, since he didn’t know what to do. I wonder if that’s what Max looked like.

Staring out of the window above my desk, I watch the countryside. It’s beautiful here. After we got back from our honeymoon, where we travelled the world, Max had driven here. I had been so confused, but then just like that night so many years ago, he offered me a key, the key to our house, and announced our offer had been accepted.

Only this time, I brought him with me into our forever house, never to be apart again.

So many years of wanting, love, and obsession led to this moment. Our love will never be typical or even normal, but it’s ours and the imperfections are what make it so real and full. I’ll spend the rest of my life loving the man behind me, not because I have to, but because he deserves it.

He doesn’t see that, but it’s okay, I’ll show him every day and remind him if I have to, and when the time comes to make our family bigger, he’ll be ready. I feel sorry for the boys or girls trying to date our children though.

“What are you smiling at?” he questions, kissing along my shoulder, and making me shiver in desire.

I turn and he leans closer, capturing my lips. I close my eyes in bliss and lose myself in the kiss before pulling away. “Just you,” I admit.

“Woman, don’t make me throw you over my shoulder and have my wicked way with you,” he teases.

Milo barks then, running into the room, and I grin down at him. “Hey, baby, you finally finished playing in the garden?” I coo.

I look up and catch Max’s shining eyes. There’s so much love and need reflected there that it staggers me. I don’t know how I missed it for so many years. How he could have hidden that from me when it’s as clear as day? “I love you,” he whispers.

“I love you too, stalker,” I reply with a grin, and he narrows his eyes.

“Run,” he growls, and I squeal as I jump from the chair and race from my office, almost slipping on the wooden floor. I hear him chasing after me, and I can’t help but laugh as I race through the house. My eyes catch on the photograph of him and Milo, which is blown up and placed in the living room above the fire. I kiss my fingers and wave at Milo, thanking him every day for saving this man so he could save me and love me. He grabs me mid-air and pulls me back to his chest while I laugh.

“Gotcha,” he declares, kissing my face.

  “Always,” I respond between giggles.

“You should know by now I’ll always catch you,” he whispers, as he throws me over his shoulder and spanks my arse. He heads up the stairs, taking the steps two at a time in his haste. I spank his arse in return and laugh even harder, but it turns into a moan when he slaps my ass again.

“Don’t forget, Nadia and Keanu are coming over soon,” I warn, but I don’t really care, my need is too great.

“I haven’t forgotten, but it seems my wife needs to be reminded whom she belongs to.”

“Yes,” I urge then groan. “Remind me.”

“Oh, just you wait until you see what I’m going to do to you now that I have you,” he growls darkly, and my pussy pulses.

  “I can’t wait,” I moan.

Jordan, thank you for supporting me throughout this new adventure. You always love my dark and dangerous and encourage me to be better.

Mal, girl, you keep my sane. I love you.

Kelly, Jessica, Andrea, Claudia and Serenity - thank you for sticking with me through late night emails, rambling ideas and for making this story as it is now.

Jess and Bri, girls I can’t write a book without you. Thank you.

To my readers, thank you for taking a chance on this and always supporting me.
