Ezekial glanced at Patience, standing on the boardwalk in front of the restaurant. Brady stepped up behind her and laid one protective arm around both her and their baby and Ezekial shook his head. One would think that a former guardian angel would give birth to children with at least a modicum of decorum.
But then, Patience had never been an easy angel herself.
A boy's high-pitched shout of pure glee reached him and Ezekial groaned as Davey, astride his mare, left the livery at a fast gallop.
No, he thought. Heaven had never been so much work. Then, tipping his halo into a fighting tilt, Ezekial took off after the boy, muttering complaints as he flew.
