“Anyways…I really should get to sleep. I don’t want to miss the sunrise.”
“Me too, but I think I’ll skip the sunrise and sleep a few hours longer.” I thought about her in bed, cuddled against my side and draped over my chest. “But if you want a running partner any other morning that I’m here, I’d love to join you.”
“We’ll see. Night Canadia. Have a good sleep.”
“Night, Beaver Dammed.” A smile completely enveloped my face as I put down my phone.

Missed Your Face
Easton
“God, I’ve been dying to see you all day, Easton.” Tanner kissed his way down my neck while his hands frantically roamed my body.
“Is that so? Did you miss me?” I panted playfully. I was beyond turned on, and I’d missed him, too, but I wouldn’t admit to that.
He lifted me and carried me to the bedroom before throwing me onto the mattress. I shrieked, loving this side of him.
Tanner crawled up the bed and hovered above me. “We need to make it quick.”
I drew in my brows. “Why?”
“Baby, the twins will be up soon, and I’m not getting interrupted again.”
I sat up in a panic, looking around the room. “Oh, thank fuck! It wasn’t real.” I flopped back onto my pillow and let out a hard breath. “Fucking twins.” I rolled my eyes and chuckled at the thought. Could you fucking imagine?
The most annoying sound in the world pulled me from my thoughts. I rolled over and grabbed my phone to turn off the alarm. I was so not a morning person, but I set my alarm for six each day to head out for a run. Well, every day that I wasn’t hungover. I loved to surf, and in order to surf, I needed to stay in shape. Not only was running great for me physically, but it was also great for my head. I got out all my aggression while I pounded the sand—I cleared my mind and organized my thoughts. It was therapeutic.
I checked the sunrise time as I did every morning; I never wanted to miss a moment. I still had forty-two minutes. Scrolling through my phone, I got sucked into social media, and before I knew it, I only had a few minutes to get out there.
Hopping out of bed, I threw on some running shorts and a sports bra and tossed my hair up into a messy bun. I tiptoed into the kitchen for a bottle of water and headed out the front door.
Standing on the porch, I admired the view and wondered if this would ever get old. The view in front of me was breathtaking. The sun was just starting to peek up over the trees. The sky was a beautiful mixture of oranges, pinks, and blues with the ocean as the soundtrack in the background.
I walked to the back of the house and stopped in my usual spot to stretch before I took off down the beach.
I tried to clear my thoughts of my dream—or should I say nightmare—but it was no use. I couldn’t shake thoughts of Tanner. One week of fun was all I kept telling myself.
Forty-five minutes later, and I was back home to stretch again. I heard a male voice and looked up to see a sexy-ass man with his arms wrapped around Sadie.
“Hey, girl, how was your run?”
“Satisfying as always. Who’s this fine specimen?” I nodded in his direction.
Sadie turned in the hottie’s arms. “This is Jameson—although he prefers Jay—but I like Jameson much better.”
He rolled his eyes but smirked down at her. Reaching out his hand for me to shake, he smiled. “Nice to meet you. You must be Easton?”
“Yes, nice to meet you, too. I prefer Jameson as well, for the record.” I looked at Sadie. “I’m going to jump in the shower, and then tackle that mountain of laundry. You guys going to be around for a bit?”
“Jameson is heading out, but Rhian and I will be in the kitchen, waiting with coffee ready. We want deets on beer boy from last night.”
I shook my head. “Not much to tell, but whatevs. I’ll see you in a few.” I turned to the hottie. “Jameson, see you around.”
He nodded, and I headed inside to wash the sweat from my body, but I’d be taking my sweet-ass time. I hated being drilled by my friends about guys. I know that’s what girls do, and usually, I didn’t mind telling them every sexy detail. But this time, it was different, and I wasn’t sure I knew why. Shit, I was going to have to tell them I didn’t sleep with Tanner. They would assume there was something wrong with one of us. So, I took an even slower time washing my body.
“Knock, knock. We know you’re stalling in there. What gives?” Sadie’s sing-song voice grated on my nerves.
“Fuck off, Sade. I’m just enjoying a hot shower. I’m not stalling.”
“East, you’ve been in there for half an hour. You can usually beat the world record for the fastest woman showering ever. Get the fuck out here; your coffee is ice cold.”
Ugh. Half an hour? I guess I was taking longer than I’d thought. “All right, I’m coming,” I grumbled before turning off the shower and taking my time drying off.
These bitches were not going to know what hit them when they found out we didn’t fuck last night. They’d probably assume he was gay. Honestly, I couldn’t remember the last time I’d hung out with a guy all night and just kissed. I was probably in middle school.
Begrudgingly, I got dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a Boathouse tee, which I tied in the back. Joe hated it when I did it, and I loved getting him all riled up—it was a win-win scenario.
I slowly walked my ass toward the kitchen to face the firing squad. “You bitches better have made me a fresh cup if I have to endure your shit this early.”
I peeked around the corner, and Rhian was holding out a mug, while Sadie had a croissant with what I assumed was raspberry jam—my absolute favorite. I hugged them both. “Aw, you do love me.”
“Not really, this was Rhian’s idea. She thought it would help pump you for more info.”
Rhian glared at Sadie. “Bitch, you weren’t supposed to tell her the plan. Ugh, sometimes I wonder if you’re all there upstairs.” She knocked on Sadie’s head, and I tried to hide my smile behind my mug.
“Shut the fuck up, Rhian. We all know I scored better than you on the SATs.”
Rhian shook her head while Sadie placed the croissant in front of me.
“So, what happened with the guy from the bar?” Sadie didn’t beat around the bush.
I ripped into my croissant and started talking with my mouth full—ladylike as always. “Nothing, I swear,” I said around a mouthful of pastry. “We left Barangas and walked over to eMZee’s to eat. Then I invited myself back to his hotel room.” I rolled my eyes at their collective oohs and ahhs. “Nothing happened.”
The silence was deafening. I didn’t want to look up because I knew I would see shocked faces. I wasn’t a whore, but I didn’t just hang out with guys for no reason, either.
“Aw, East, I’m sorry. He’s gay, isn’t he?” Sadie was the first to ask, of course.
“No! Jesus, Sade, not every guy only thinks of sex. He was—” I stopped myself before saying something that would give anything away, but what could I say? He was sweet? Fuck no. That was the last thing I could tell them, although it was true. “He was tired, jet-lagged from the time change. Guys can sometimes have problems in that department if you know what I mean.” I crooked my finger to emphasize my point.
They both threw their heads back in laughter.
“No way, you’re kidding, right?” Rhian was in complete shock.
“Oh my God. Yes, I’m fucking with you. He was tired, though.” I mean, it wasn’t a complete lie; he was tired. I was just leaving out the fact that he was trying to be a gentleman. I rolled my eyes internally.
“Anyway,” I shrugged, “I’ll see him again, and I promise I’m going to fuck his brains out.”
“So that’s it? We get nothing else? This is bullshit. I was expecting some steamy shit.” Rhian wasn’t buying it, but there wasn’t much to tell.
“We made out a little after we watched a movie and ate the best fucking chocolate in the world. But that’s it.” I shrugged again.
“What’s the move tonight? Any plans?”
“Ugh.” Rhian groaned. “Whatever.”
“What Rhi really means is that we want all the details when you finally bone him. He was hot.”
“No, it’s not.” Rhian huffed. “Not sure about tonight yet. The guys wanted to night surf if you’re down.”
“I’m in.” I took the last sip of my coffee. “I’m going to head into work early. Joe always has a shit-ton to do after the charity event, so I figured since I’ve got nothing else to do, I would head over.”
“Love you,” they both said in unison as I walked out the door.
Boathouse didn’t open for a couple more hours, and as I suspected, Joe was grateful for the help getting the store put back together before we opened.
He flipped the sign in the window to open and turned to me. “Thanks for your help. I never would’ve had this place ready for customers had you not come in.”
“You do this every year; you refuse to schedule me before we open, and every year, you need me.” I shook my head, placed my hand on Joe’s shoulder, and looked him straight in the eye. “Admit it. you would just be lost without me.”
He shook off my hand. “You’re so full of yourself.”
“Am I? How would you have gotten the register set up?” I cocked a brow, daring him to say he could’ve done it alone.
“Fair enough, next year, you can be in at nine sharp.”
“Ten.”
He just shook his head as he walked to the back room. “You always do whatever the fuck you want anyways.”
He was right; I never listened, but Joe loved me anyways.
The day dragged, the weather was crappy, so the shop was pretty dead, leaving us with nothing to do but twiddle our thumbs. I told Joe to go home at three. There was no sense in us both wasting our day away at work. I hadn’t had more than a handful of customers, but of course, right before we closed, I had a group of girls come in and try on everything in the damn store and buy almost anything.
The moment I flipped the sign, the front door chimed. Ready to tell whoever it was to fuck off, I turned around to find Tanner standing there, looking shy.
“We’re closed.” I kept my face neutral, trying to hide my smile.
“Okay…” He drew out the word. “I’ll come back tomorrow?” It sounded like a question.
“I’m kidding, Tanner. Jeez, why are you so serious?”
“I wasn’t sure if it was too forward coming by. I know you said you’d text when you got off, but I was dying to see you.” He looked down at his feet.
“It’s fine. I still have a ton of shit to clean up, but you’re welcome to hang out. Would you lock the door for me, please?”
“Of course.” He locked the door and came to stand in front of me, clearly unsure of what to say or do.
It was awkward, mostly because I wanted to reach out and touch him but refrained. “So…”
“So…” He rocked back and forth on his heels with his hands stuffed into his pockets. “Anything I can help you with?”
“Sure, these little bitches came in and tore apart the store and wanted to try on every shoe we had. They ended up spending fifty dollars between the four of them.” I rolled my eyes.
“The dressing rooms have clothes everywhere. If you want to scoop whatever you can carry, we can take it into the back where there’s a folding table.”
It took three trips each to grab all the clothes and shoes; the pile on the table was ridiculous.
“That’s a lot of clothes. Did they come in just to torture you?” Tanner eyed the pile and then me, flicking his gaze between the two.
“You’d think, right?” I sighed. “This is going to take forever.”
“I’m not the greatest at folding, but I think I can figure out the shoes.”
“Sounds like a plan.”
We got to work, and less than an hour later, we had everything folded, boxed, and put away. We went to the front of the store so that I could count the cash, and then I locked up the safe in the floor. I let out a breath and leaned against the counter. “Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.”
“No problem.” He moved to stand in front of me, resting his hands on either side of my hips, caging me in. “Do you have plans tonight?” His eyes bored into mine.
“Not until later. What did you have in mind?” I smirked, knowing exactly what I wanted to do.
He looked around the store and then back, leaning in for a kiss. I didn’t waste a minute before wrapping my legs around his waist. The kiss turned hard, bruising. He picked me up and carried me back to the back room.
Setting me down, he broke away. “There aren’t any hidden cameras anywhere, are there?”
I chuckled. “Not that I know of. Joe’s going to get a good show if he does. Would serve him right for putting in cameras, wouldn’t it?”
“True. Now, where were we?” The mischievous look on his face was sexy as hell. He kissed his way down my neck as he walked us back to the folding table and lifted me on top.
He pulled back, panting. “I want you to know that I think you’re super cool and that I don’t normally—”
Putting my finger to his lips, I stopped his little tirade. “Listen, I can tell you’re a good guy, but we know this isn’t permanent. Let’s have fun, no excuses or explanations or expectations needed.” I didn’t let him respond. I pulled him toward me by his shirt and kissed him senseless.
Tanner may be the good guy, but he knew what he was doing. His hands undressed me with ease, trying not to break our kiss whenever possible. I kicked off my shoes, and he pulled off my jeans and panties at once.
He stood there, chest heaving, taking me in. I was a reasonably confident girl who spent half my time in bikinis on the beach. But the way he stood there, fully clothed, and devouring me with his eyes made me feel exposed for the first time.

Change Of Subject Anyone?
Tanner
Fuck! She was gorgeous. I knew it and expected it, but seeing her spread out, naked and panting had me all messed up in the head.
“She’s perfect.” The words came out as a whisper, meant just for me, but by the pinking of her cheeks, I could tell she’d heard it, too. “Is Easton blushing?” I felt anything but confident, but I was going to try my hand at acting the part. “Did I make you blush?”
“Shut the fuck up and get your clothes off. Or…” Her words trailed off as she lifted her feet to the table, spreading her legs wide open. She put two fingers in her mouth and slowly trailed them down her body until she reached her pussy and began slowly circling her clit. “Tanner.”
I snapped out of my trance and looked up at her smiling like the Cheshire Cat.
“Do I need to take care of myself?”
I shook my head vigorously. “No!” I all but shouted.
“Then come here.” She crooked her wet finger at me, and I immediately complied. She lifted her finger to my mouth, and I sucked; she tasted like heaven.
I got undressed within seconds. I felt like a teenage boy getting laid for the first time. Calm down, Tanner. I needed to breathe, or I was going to embarrass myself. The moment my cock sprang free, Easton’s hand gripped me tightly and lined me up after rubbing her juices all over my swollen head. I watched with rapt fascination; even her pussy was perfect.
Clearly, she liked to be in control, but so did I. I pushed forward, catching her off guard. I took her mouth as she gasped and gripped her ass as I pounded in and out. Her hands clung to my neck as I worked us both into a frenzy. She was so tight, gripping me like a vise. I wasn’t going to last long. This girl had me nearly coming in my pants the second she had walked out on the stage last night.
Her breaths became harder, and the kiss became more frantic. “Fuck, Tanner.” She pulled away and threw back her head as she leaned on her hands, thrusting her perfect tits toward me.
Taking her nipple into my mouth, I sucked and bit down, causing her to scream out in pleasure. I s
oothed the bite with my tongue.
“Oh. My. God.” She was close, and thank God because I wasn’t about to embarrass myself.
I reached down and circled her clit with my thumb as I pumped harder; her tight hole gripped my cock, and she exploded as she screamed out in pleasure. She looked up at me with hooded eyes as I continued to milk her orgasm. I kissed her as I came hard with a grunt.
Resting my forehead on hers, I closed my eyes and tried to calm my breathing. “That was…” I wasn’t sure how to describe that because it was amazing.
Easton moved a little, so I pulled back slightly, but I didn’t pull out. I couldn’t decipher her expression. I tried, but she wasn’t an easy one to read.
“What?” She looked at me quizzically.
“Nothing.” I shrugged.
“Why are you looking at me like that again?”
“Sorry, I was just trying to read you, but you don’t wear your emotions on your face the way I do.” I shrugged again.
She grabbed my shirt off the table beside her and tossed it at my head. I may not be able to read her, but that was her way of ending any discussion we might have had.
“Put on your shirt.”
I wasn’t going to push her, and although my dick was still inside of her, she was clearly done. We’re just having fun. I needed to keep reminding myself. So instead of talking about anything related to sex, I changed the subject. “So, you said you had plans later; how much later?”
Her eyes opened wide.
“Listen, if you don’t want to hang out, it’s totally cool. I have to meet up with the guys in a couple of hours anyways.” I picked up my clothes to get dressed, trying desperately not to show any sign of hurt on my face. Honestly, I would’ve rather spent the whole time here just hanging out with her without sex if everything were going to be awkward after.
“Dude!”
I looked up at the sound of her voice, and she was smiling. What the fuck?
