The ones present all gave nods.
Ivan looked down at Begian. “This man is charged with many crimes. Taking what was not his to take. Taking innocent blood. Taking innocence itself. He has treated you all with cruelty and misery. What say you?” He raised his gaze to the women who were lined up together. “Is he innocent or guilty?”
Begian blinked his eyes and looked confused. He opened his mouth to speak.
“GUILTY!” the group of women shouted.
“Then so be it.” Ivan then waved them over.
They all took steps as a group toward Begian. They had to traverse over Fedar. But most stepped on him hard as they stomped on his body. He had taken advantage of many of them and he hadn’t been gentle either.

They moved the two women to the gates and walked them through.

Chapter Fourteen
After they returned to the farm, Rani had to say goodbye to her mother, albeit a temporary goodbye. Ivan had taken her to a clinic for a couple of weeks, one that he’d staffed himself. So she could heal and get the help she needed.
