TAMED: Wolverine MC (book 2) Page 15

by Alexi Ferreira

  “Where is your bra?”

“I didn’t wear one.” she snickers, which has me frowning as the t-shirt slips over her torso.

“You can’t go in there like that, I can see your nipples peeking at me through that t-shirt.” She places her hands on her hips and frowns at me.

“No, you can’t, and the t-shirt will dry by the time we get there.”

“I’m telling you now, if anyone looks at your chest, I am gouging out their eyes.” I know that my brothers would never look at my woman in that way, but knowing that she isn’t wearing a bra has me on edge. She pulls her panties on and then her jeans, soon we both have our boots on and are making our way up to the house.

Just before we walk into the club Onix pulls at my hand as she stops, looking down at her I frown. “What’s wrong?” I ask as I see her serious expression.

“I forgot to tell you.” When she doesn’t continue, I turn fully to face her, what did she forget to tell me.

  “What?”

“I love you Hawk.” I didn’t know I was waiting for those words from her but hearing them has a smile growing across my face. One thing is for sure, this woman will never have me bored, she surprises me at every turn, she is the perfect mate for me, and I am pleased that fate brought her to me.

“I know you do.” She grins, then she is raising her hand and slapping me playfully on the arm. She has had her fair share of turmoil in her life, from now on I will do everything in my power to only give her happiness.

  STALKED

We shouldn’t fucking have to come here, but to keep up appearances we need to make a show of being worried so King fucking thought it would be a great idea that Gunner and I showed our faces and made a fuss about the killings that have been happening in the area. I don’t know why he didn’t send Hawk; after all he’s the one that promised his woman that he would find the fucker that killed her sister. Damn, I hate being in police stations.

We stop our bikes across the road from the police station; sitting back I sigh as I take the helmet off and place it on my handlebars. Looking over at Gunner I see him looking over his shoulder towards the entrance.

“This isn’t cool” he mutters as he looks over at me a frown on his face.

“I’ll wait here with the bikes you go in and check” I say and see him raise his brow.

“Nice try,” he grunts, “but we might as well do this together; the sooner we go in the sooner we are out of there and on our way.” Most of the cops in town have a bone to pick with us, as they all think we are trash. Being sensitive to people doesn’t always help when we know they despise us, when we can sense their disdain and contempt. People are judgemental, and even though they don’t know us but just because we are bikers and live a certain lifestyle, they automatically think that we are outlaws.

If they only knew that we actually fight evil they would change their tune, but we aren’t interested in peoples praises and instead like the fact that everyone thinks we are outlaws because that helps our cover. We deliver parcels as a cover, in the meantime acquiring information from our surroundings and others which lead us to real criminals and stopping them.

Grunting I slip off my bike, straightening my kutte I start making my way towards the station, Gunner falling into step. As we approach, I see two cops that are standing outside talking look our way and tense, “coming to give yourselves in?” one says in a sarcastic tone.

Motherfucker, sometimes I really wish we didn’t have to be so human. Sometimes I would really like to let my wolf loose and teach these assholes a lesson. “There is nothing that we are guilty off” I mutter as we continue making our way inside. I hear the same asshole mutter ‘yeah right’ as we approach the reception area.

The cop behind the counter frowns when he sees us but to his credit, he doesn’t comment sarcastically like most of them will do. “Well what can I do for you boys today?” he asks as he places the palms of his hands on the counter and looks at us steadily.

“We are here to speak to Sergeant Patull,” Gunner states as he leans his hip against the counter looking back towards the entrance. I see the cop’s inquisitive expression but to his credit he doesn’t comment, instead he picks up the phone and dials.

“There are two men from the Wolverine MC here to see you.” I hear the Sergeant mutter on the phone and then he says he will be down soon. The thing is that we just here for show because we already know everything that they know but just for appearances sake we needed to come and show our faces. “He will be down soon.” He mutters as he inclines his head towards the side of the reception, I ignore his subtle tactic for us to get out of this area and simply turn my back on him looking around at the people that are walking in and out of the station.

I sense eyes on me; turning my head I encounter the eyes of an older man. It is clear that someone attacked him, his face is bruised, his clothes are splattered with blood and it is evident that he is in pain. The fact that some fucker attacked a fragile old man is infuriating, I would like to find the son of a bitch and let him try and attack me, and the only problem is that assholes like that only attack those that can’t protect themselves.

“You are here to see me?” I turn my head to see the Sergeant standing on the second step that leads upstairs to the first floor. I nod my head, Gunner steps forward towards him I see the Sergeants eyes following his movements.

“We are here to ask if you have found anything else about the killings, and to give you some information that might be useful.” Gunner states, his muscles tense.

“You know I can’t talk about an ongoing case.” He says with a scowl, “If you know something that will help this case it is your duty to let me know.” I raise a brow as I step forward.

“You know that this killer killed someone that was important to someone in our club, therefore we will make sure that whoever this fucker is he will be caught.” I state looking at the Sargent intensely. He looks at me for a couple of seconds but then nods as he lifts his hand and points behind him.

“Come with me” he mutters as he turns making his way upstairs. Well at least we got him to listen; now we must just get him to believe us and impart anything that we might not know. He takes us into a meeting room at the entrance to the open area. “Take a seat” he mutters

“Well then what have you got for me?” he asks as he looks at the envelope, I take out of the inside pocket of my Kutte.

“First you, we need to know that this fucker is going to be caught.” I state as I place the envelope on the desk as bait. He looks at the envelope and then up at me, lifting his hand he rubs his jaw in uncertainty but then nods.

“We have discovered that most of the women that we found are women that haven’t been reported missing, which tells us that they were either on the streets or they didn’t have anyone that would miss them for a while.”

“Were the women addicts?” Gunner asks with a frown

“I’m not saying anything else until you show me what you have.” He says with a frown, I place my hand on the envelope and start to slide it over to him, stopping just before it’s in front of him.

“As you know Linda was one of our woman’s sister, she came here looking for her. When we started to search for her, we realized that she was hanging out with the Hades MC.” At my comment I see a flicker on his face which tells me that he has been looking into them too. Pushing the envelope, the
rest of the way I then pull my hand back leaving the envelope in front of him.

“As you know Hades and Wolverine MC don’t always see eye to eye, therefore we make sure to keep an eye on them. Those photos you have in that envelope is of all the women we have captured in photos with them, we not sure if any of them are the women that you guys found but one we know for certain is.” As a matter of fact, we do know that at least four of them are as we have all the intel that we could get from what they have uploaded onto the system. What we don’t know is if there are any leads that they might have. He is about to open the envelope when my hand shoots out again and I place it on top of the envelope stopping him from opening it. His eyes snap up to mine, “all we ask is that you keep us in the loop, if you find that it is a Hades MC member than we might be able to help you more than you might find by yourself.” I take my hand away and nod for him to now open the envelope.

He frowns as he opens the envelope and pulls out the stack of photos that we printed for him, as he starts flipping through the photos I see his eyes widen slightly when he sees women that were among the ones that were killed.

“Are there any other women on there that are victims besides Linda?” Gunner asks as he inclines his head towards the photos. I can see him pondering on what he is going to say as he looks up at us, we are hoping that he will decide to collaborate with us, but if he doesn’t then we will just have to find this fucker ourselves with no help from the police. To be honest I would rather leave them out of it, but King wants to make sure that we don’t become suspects.

“How would you be able to help me?” he asks with a raised brow, not answering Gunner’s question.

“First you tell us what we want to know and then we will tell you.” I mutter feeling a strange sense of urgency suddenly, the prickling on the back of my neck makes me look behind me but there is nothing there except the wall. Something has my wolf’s hackles rising in agitation and it’s not just because we are in a police station, even though that has me irritated.

“Fine, yes there are another three or four women here that could be victims.” He states

“We have information on all the Hades members, we have looked through it and even though they are all rotten none of them stand out as a serial killer.” When Gunner said rotten the fucker raised his brow sarcastically as if saying that we are just as rotten, the fucker, if he only knew. “We can supply you with information on the ones you suspect, information that I bet you don’t have or can get.”

“Why are you so interested in helping us,” he asks with a suspicious look on his face, “we all know that we are the last people you would ever want to help.”

“Easy, by helping you we will be getting the fucker that killed Linda which in turn will give her sister peace and it will get your eyes on the Hades MC which will please us.” I can see that he is still suspicious, but he knows that there is no one that can give him the information he might need like we can. My whole-body tenses suddenly as if preparing for danger, what the hell? I feel like my senses are out of control. I feel an uncontrollable sense of urgency to leave, something is driving my wolf and whatever it is, is in this police station. Fuck, it chose the wrong time to act up. Taking in a deep breath I try to calm my senses, try to calm my breathing because only now do I realize that my breathing is laboured.

I see Gunner looking at me and know that he can sense the change in me and must be wondering what the fuck is going on, well he’s not the only one. “Why not send us all the info you have, like that we can go through everything and see if anyone pops out.”

“No, that’s not how it works.” I mutter, “you give us only the names of any suspect you might have from the Hades and we will give you the information. We are not going to give you information on everyone.”

“And if we think that you just want information on someone and it’s not related to the case, we will not give you that info.” Gunner states

“It’s against the law to hold information.” He says angrily, which has me snapping out of my seat. The movement surprises me as much as it does him that tenses and moves his hand down towards his weapon. Shit, what the hell is wrong with me.

“Can you deal with this?” I don’t wait for Gunner to respond as I turn and make my way out of the room, I hear Sergeant Patull ask Gunner what is wrong with me and Gunner’s reply is a grunt. My senses are driving me forward and then I get a whiff of a fragrance that seems so familiar that all my senses are on alert. Fuck no, is it possible? I suddenly realize what might be happening to me and I fucking don’t believe it.

Shit, please don’t let my mate be a fucking cop. I see a cop looking at me suspiciously as my gaze travels around the people that are here on the first floor but then I get another whiff of that fragrance and I am turning towards the steps, shit, it is coming from downstairs. I try not to rush downstairs but the urgency I feel is overwhelming.

Reaching the bottom I look towards where the battered old man was sitting but he has gone, but the desk behind his has a woman that has her back to me and even without seeing her face I know that she is mine. My heart is racing, and I can feel the hair across my body standing on end, fuck me, I never thought the pull would be so strong.

Contrary to my brothers I wasn’t in a hurry to find my mate, but now that I know she is before me my wolf is desperate to make her mine. Her hair is curly, an auburn colour that reaches her to just under her shoulder blades. She seems so petite like a puff of wind will blow her away, my protective instincts are fighting to rush to her and stand over her like an avenging angel of whatever is upsetting her because I can tell that something is by the way her body is tensed.

Her melodious voice reaches me, the sound instantly calming the agitation within my soul that has been a constant ever since I can remember. “How can you say that?” she murmurs to the policewoman sitting before her taking her statement. I stand listening, wondering what can possibly be upsetting her the way it is.

“I know that it might not sound just, but we can’t do anything until you have some evidence that someone is really stalking you.” What? The fucker will die.

“But I have shown you photos of the flowers, and the note that was left on my car and the missed calls on my phone when no one talks when I answer.” I can hear the fear in her voice, the fact that someone is scaring her like this has my anger rising. I will find who this sick secret admirer is that she has, and I will convince him that he has a crush on the wrong woman.

“I’m sorry,” the cop says, “I suggest that you get yourself a dog, or if you think this person may harm you get a private detective but we can’t do anything until you bring me concrete evidence that this person wants you harm. She suddenly shoots off her chair, standing with her hands flat on the desk.

“If I am killed, know that you were able to stop it, but you didn’t” she says angrily before turning around to walk away. My woman has a temper on her, I see her eyes and features for the first time. Her eyes are slightly slanted up, a flashing dark blue that at the moment are sparkling with anger. Her eyebrows slanted above her eyes like a bird taking flight. Her lips pouty and ready to be kissed.

She is making her way out of the station, her body tensed, her shoulders stiff as she angrily strides out. I make my way after her making sure not to follow too close. She walks across the road towards a cherry red mini that is parked just a few cars ahead from where my bike is. The swaying of her perfect ass hypnotizing me, this woman is perfect in every way my hands will mould her curves like a glove, stroking, feeling the smoothness of her skin under my touch.

“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Gunner mutters as he walks up to me

“She’s mine” I state as I see her opening the door of her car, she throws her handbag towards the passenger side in anger before she gets in, leaning her head back she closes her eyes.

“Shit” Gunner mutters, “I will let the others know” he says as he lifts his phone and takes a photo of her car. I know that he will be run
ning the plates to find out where she lives but I won’t be waiting for that, I am going to follow her now and make sure that she is safe.

“I’m going to follow her, looks like she has a stalker.” Gunner raises his brows at me and then nods. I know that he won’t try to follow as we don’t take it too well when other men are around our mates before we mate. Making our way towards our bikes I slide the helmet on, leaning forward I start my bike seeing her pull out of her parking space, I take a deep breath trying to calm my senses. It is time to follow my destiny.
