  Epilogue

Jane stood staring at herself in the mirror with tingly nerves of excitement and anticipation. Today was the day. The day she got to start the rest of her life. The day she married her best friend. Today she was no longer going to be Detective Jane Sparrow she was to be Mrs. Perry Fierce. And she couldn’t wait.

Standing to the side of Jane looking at her with a smile of endearment was her best friend Amy and her young daughter Lilly-Anne. Both adorned in beautiful red dresses that Jane had hand picked to go with her colour scheme. With small delicate posies each that consisted of white lilies and roses to bounce of the contrast of red of their dresses. Jane had an opposite of red flowing flowers in her bouquet with subtle delicate touches of sparkle to add the extra shine. Jane’s nerves began to pique as they exited the room where she had gotten ready to begin the walk down the aisle to her future. Jane and Perry had been through so much from when they met Jane just hoped that Perry was still waiting for her at the end of the aisle and that he hadn’t deserted her. The instant Jane had thought it she knew it was a bad idea. The sick were starting to rise along with the panic, what if he had fled. With almost a six sense to the panic rising in Jane, Amy was there to give an encouraging smile.

“Don’t look so worried Jane, Perry is going to be there and overcome with excitement to get you as his wife. Breathe, relax and smile you look drop dead gorgeous.”

Jane breathed a sigh of relief. Jane didn’t know how Amy read the emotions of people around her so easy but this was one time when Jane definitely appreciated it.

“Thanks Amy. Yours and Ian’s turn next.”

With a little twinkle added to both their eyes Lilly-Anne began her walk down the aisle scattering rose petals as she walked. As Amy went to leave she turned round offered one last smile of encouragement to Jane and began her timed descent down the aisle as everyone began to turn in their pews to gain a better look. This was it. It was Jane’s turn. As her foot stepped over the door and her eyes caught Perry’s at the other end Jane had to do everything in her power to stop her from running at him with pure joy. Life was finely how it should be Jane just prayed this really was the one long happy ending that both she and Perry deserved.
