“Nothing. I guess I’m just feeling jet lagged,” I said as I continued memorizing every detail of this beautiful place. Dorian pursed his lips and stepped closer. His eyes shifted over my face.
“I’ll ask you again. What is it?” he said quiet but firm.
“I can’t help but think about all those girls waiting for you outside of the movie studios and how the security guard said they were all your girlfriends and then I started wondering how many girls you’ve welcomed up here into your bedroom,” I said, feeling tired all of a sudden.
“But it’s the first time that I’ve had a girlfriend up here. You are the first to stay with me in my suite. I need you, Aria like the very air that I breathe. Somehow, I resist temptation when you’re next to me and that’s a good thing. Although, I can’t always promise to resist temptation or to be faithful to you, but I will promise to include you if I bring someone home to have sex with,” he said cheerily.
I tried to hide my feigned feelings at that remark but Dorian saw right through me. He cupped my chin and guided my eyes towards his.
“You are the only one that I want, Aria. You are my sweetness,” his eyes pleaded to me. I nodded as he continued. “It’s been a long day. Get some sleep and then I will come and wake you in a little while to get ready for dinner. I have a surprise for you I think you’re going to like.”
I couldn’t wait to see what he had planned but he was right, I needed sleep. Having drunk a fifth last night, waking with a horrible hangover, and then flying to Vancouver was wearing on me. I kicked off my shoes and stripped off my leggings then pulled back the fine linen and crawled into bed.
I dreamt of Dorian being passionate and loving, then his face changed and he morphed into a demonic beast with yellow-green eyes and decayed-looking skin. I struggled to get away. I kicked and screamed and all the while Dorian was laughing at me with vile looking teeth.
I sat up in bed gasping, trying to escape my dream. Fear rushed through me. How did I go from being loved and cherished by Dorian one minute, and then fighting with a demon in the next?
I felt ridiculous that I let those thoughts instill doubt in me. Dorian had been nothing except wonderful to me. I rolled over and waited for the sweet sugar of sleep to overtake me. Being out here with Dorian in this fantasy of a life really was stranger than paradise.

CHAPTER 29
BIG BALLS
Friday Morning, December 21st – Weekend Twelve
“Mmmm, good morning,” I said, blinking my sleepy eyes at Dorian. He was watching me sleep. It was the morning of my tenth day in Vancouver.
Dorian brought me up to Whistler Mountain ski resort the day after they wrapped filming. The entire cast came up here with us for their cast party and for a while things got intense, Dorian’s costar Cassie Kirkman was one jealous bitch. She tried hooking up with both Dorian and me while we were in the hot tub, but during our attempted three-way, she went nuts and tried elbowing me out of the way. We got into a tiny wrestling match that ended with me getting her in a headlock and tossing her completely naked off the deck into the snow. Dorian had tried to separate us but he slipped on the wet deck and hurt his ankle. It wasn’t hurt too badly, but enough that he was limping a little. Other than that, it ended up being the greatest week of my life. I couldn’t believe that I was here with the biggest movie star in the world. My life and luck were definitely changing for the better.
The entire cast, except one - Cassie, was welcoming and wonderful. It was a magical week and it really brought Dorian and me closer together. I was sure now more than ever that I made the right choice leaving my old life behind and coming out here. Nothing could drag me back home again.
“How long have you been watching me sleep?” I asked.
“Awhile, but I was actually looking at a piece of rice in your hair. You got it everywhere last night,” he said, fidgeting and trying to pick the rice out of my hair.
“Yea, I guess we did get a little crazy.” I lifted my hand and gestured to my face referring to his. “What’s on your face?” I asked.
“I had a powdered doughnut while you were sleeping,” he said, as he wiped the white off of his upper lip.
“You had another nightmare. It’s the fourth one since you’ve gotten here,” he said, changing the subject. It was similar to the one I had last week but this time instead of fighting with Dorian, he dumped me and left me for Cassie. He was already so much a part of my life now that it scared me how much I’d grown to need him.
His eyes scanned over my face to see how I was doing. He reached out his arms and I didn’t hesitate. I just rolled into them. He pulled me to his chest. I let his warmth consume me and take me away from this reality. He ran his hand soothingly down my back and up again. He seemed lost in thought but antsy like he couldn’t stay still. I had seen him like this a couple times back at Paramore. His stress would sometimes get the better of him, but somehow holding me always calmed him down.
“We have to head back today. Tomorrow is the Policeman’s Charity Ball in downtown Vancouver and I’m receiving the hero of the year award. I hope you’re ready for this because I’m going to walk you down the red carpet and introduce you to the world,” he said.
“About time,” I said spitefully, as he quirked his brow at me.
“Would you like to try that again?”
“I mean, I can’t believe there won’t be anymore hiding. It’s finally happening, that’s all,” I said as my face reddened. He laughed softly.
“Better. How about you give me a massage and then we’ll take a bath together,” he said.
I smiled softly to him. He turned over on his stomach and then I went to work on his shoulders and neck. He groaned as I kneaded his shoulders. I was one lucky girl but this was supposed to be my day.
I didn’t want to admit to myself that I drank too much again last night at the party. I got so carried away that I was drinking whiskey straight from the bottle and things got a little hazy after that. I couldn’t see straight. After I finished his massage, I drew a bath for us and we both escaped into each other in the hot depths of the water and I indulged in him just like he did me. He was my new reality.
“Do you remember your first day as my housegirl?” he asked.
“Yes,” I replied, trying to figure out what he wanted me to say. “It was strange knowing I had to do whatever you asked me to. Usually, I’m much more independent than that. It was hard at first,” I said, as I lowered my head and avoided his eyes. I swallowed, hard not wanting to talk about it but knowing I had to.
“I don’t know how to classify what I am feeling for you. How you make me feel. I really care about you. You string me together with this web that you weave and you make me want temptation. You make me want to do things that I never imagined that I wanted to do until the first time I tried them with you. You became something that I wasn’t supposed to crave when I was in love with Avery. I didn’t know that another man could make me feel like this.”
Dorian held my gaze. I was baring my soul to him and he wasn’t saying anything. He probably thought I sounded like an idiot. His eyes were bright today, a golden brown that I hadn’t seen in awhile. Usually they were dark or dilated.
He reached out and lifted my hips then lowered my body over him. Our eyes locked on each other. “If you do love me, what would you do next for me?”
“Whatever you wanted,” I answered.
Dorian swiveled his hips and groaned. “You, my sweet Aria, are an enigma in my stale life. You are a bright dawn on a dark day. You infatuate me. You keep me captivated and I crave your attention, your touch. I care for you deeply. You will always have a special place in my heart, Aria.”
I rushed to Dorian’s lips wanting to taste him, wanting him to drown himself in me, and I wanted to drown myself in him. I was running from my broken heart. Good or bad, I chose this path.
“Aria, I know you want to please me. I know you want to taste the dark side that only I can offer you.
I want you to experience everything this world has to offer. If fame has taught me anything, it’s to embrace what makes you feel alive, even if those things seem dangerous. Don’t run from them. They’re the only way to truly live. I can make you a star, Aria. I can make you feel alive.”
Dorian picked up the pace and the heat began to build between us. Soon, we both were crying out with pleasure. Dorian cradled me and kissed my forehead. As our breathing slowed, Dorian tensed. I pulled away and he ran his hand over his face.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“It’s so easy to get lost in you,” he breathed. His words tugged at my heart.
*****
Later that evening, Dorian, Canaan, and I ate dinner in Dorian’s formal dining room and I listened to them tell stories about growing up together and their new adventure going into the production company. Dorian’s eyes shined like diamonds reminiscing with Canaan. They were best friends growing up in the big city of London. Now, they lived here in Vancouver. Canaan was an actor too; and I’d seen several of his films.
I learned that Dorian and Canaan raced cars. It was their hobby. They drove fast and lived hard. They also rode fast motorcycles. They were adrenaline junkies.
I laughed when I heard how Dorian’s first motorcycle jump was over a pond and he missed the jump completely and fell in, bike and all.
I listened to them banter each other about who could pull off the most dangerous stunts. Each one challenged the other and my worries about the past became a distant memory.
Dorian was animated while he talked. He looked happy, relaxed, and sexy.
Dorian’s phone rang and I frowned when he pulled it out and saw Avery’s name on the caller ID. He stood and excused himself from the room. I picked at my cuticles.
“You’re good for him, you know,” Canaan said, pulling me from my mental freak out.
I smiled softly up at him. “He’s good for me,” I chided.
“He has a way of bringing everyone out of their shell. It’s a gift and a curse sometimes,” he replied.
“When did you know you first loved him?” he asked.
“Not too long ago,” I said honestly.
“You were fighting it. Was that because you were with Avery?”
“It was,” I said.
“You make Dorian a better person,” Canaan added.
I heard Dorian step to the doorway. “I’ll have my lawyer look over the papers. Everything is set. No, I haven’t heard from her, mate. If she turns up out here I will most certainly let you know,” he clicked off the phone. His eyes were trying to get a feel for what Canaan and I were talking about.
I looked to my hands, trying to not look upset that he was talking to Avery. They still had a business deal between them. I guess no matter who got the girl; Avery was still going through with it.
“I think he suspects you are out here. It was the first thing he brought up. However, the way I see it, it is none of his business, especially now,” Dorian said, kissing my hand. His look was tender. And it was the first time that I saw the love in Dorian’s eyes.
“You two have it bad,” Canaan teased.
Dorian’s eyes shuffled over my face. I needed to make love to him.
“Excuse us for a minute, mate,” Dorian said, as he reached down and took my hand and led me into the great room next to the kitchen. We barely made it to the oversized chaise lounge in the room and he already had me half undressed. Dorian undressed as I finished removing my shirt and my bra then lay on my back and spread my legs for him.
He kissed my legs and moved up toward my inner thigh. I arched my back and ground my pelvis, wanting more.
“That’s fucking hot, mate,” Canaan said. I stiffened when I realized that he followed us.
Dorian growled as he sank his tongue inside me. Dorian didn’t seem to care that his best friend was watching us for the second time.
“Let him watch us, Luv,” he said, kissing my thighs and making his way back down to my honey pot. I groaned and clenched my insides around Dorian with excitement.
“Good girl,” Dorian smirked, as he tasted my wetness. My eyes fluttered over to see Canaan sitting in the oversized plush chair next to us. His fingers were stilled in front of his pants as he gently rubbed between his legs. His growing bulge looked massive and the fact that he was watching, fueled my desire.
Dorian moved upward and crushed his lips to mine. I plunged my tongue into Dorian’s mouth and he took my hard kiss.
“Kitten, I need to feel that ass of yours,” he said in his bedroom voice.
He flipped me over and leaned me over the chaise. His left hand steadied my hips and his right hand reached down and found my clit as he entered me. I threw my head back and let him take me higher. I rolled my nipples through my fingers and turned my head to watch Canaan. I arched my back and felt the burn building in my core.
Dorian’s pace was perfection. His fingers played with my sensual spot and he picked up his pace and buried his hard length deep inside of me, tipping me over the edge.
“Aria, cum for Canaan. Show him how much you want him,” Dorian growled.
My eyes focused on Canaan as Dorian pounded harder into me. I swiveled my hips as Dorian rode me while I eye-fucked his best friend. The white heat that I was begging for easily rose up like wildfire through my body. I cried out and shuddered all around Dorian.
“That’s it, Luv. You’re so fucking, hot,” Dorian huffed in my ear.
Canaan lowered to his knees and crawled two steps toward me. His hand reached over and removed my hand from my nipple, and placed it over his massive length bursting through his pants. He was larger than Avery or Dorian. I didn’t even know if I could take him, but I really wanted to try.
His mouth rushed to mine and Dorian rolled his pelvis into me to prolong my orgasm.
Canaan’s lips were soft but strong. I brushed my hand up and down over him as he pushed harder into it.
Dorian released himself inside me. Canaan slowed the kiss and then one last time kissed me softly then licked his lips.
“Cheers,” Canaan said, as he rose to his feet. I moaned as his warmth left my fingers. Dorian grinned.
“He’ll be worth the wait. I promise.” I swallowed hard as Canaan held my stare as he left the room.
“Christ, Aria. You never cease to bollock me. That was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen and he was fully clothed,” Dorian said as he turned me around and his lips kissed me softly and he pulled me to his chest. My eyes met his. “You have so much passion in you. You take my breath away,” he said.
Dorian pulled me close and placed a blanket over the both of us. I yawned and snuggled in closer. All this sex was wearing me out.
“Sleep, my Luv. You’re going to need it for the night that I have planned for you,” he boasted. My stomach was giddy in anticipation.
*****
Evening approached fast on Saturday and it was time to leave for the Policeman’s Ball. I wore a stunning black designer gown from Guy Laroche. It hugged my curves and held my breasts without a bra. I felt sexy and bold.
I don’t know what it was about Dorian but he was able to get me to step outside of my box and live out my fantasies.
Dorian was in an exquisite Tom Ford tuxedo. His brown eyes sparkled in the light as he held my hand and helped me into the black limousine. As I situated my dress, he placed a dark red velvet box on my lap and I gasped.
“This is for you, Luv,” he said nervously, bringing out his thick accent. I smiled widely up at him and lifted the cover. My hand covered my mouth. The necklace was made of diamonds that I could only describe as stunning. The top half was a thick braided silver chain that split into a vine of diamonds and curled into a perfectly shaped figure eight.
I traced the diamond forever symbol with my right index finger as tears filled my eyes.
Dorian lifted it from the box and helped me put it on. He kissed me gently and threaded his fingers into mine.
“No matter what, we’ll
always have this moment together. These are the last few seconds before I introduce you to the press and you become world famous. Finally, the mystery girl who’s been at Dorian Macallan’s side this whole autumn is revealed. You will always have a part of my heart, Aria. Forever.”
“Jesus,” I sputtered. “Canaan’s right. You do have it bad,” I said teasingly. But he could tell that I was blown away.
“Are you going to tell them about you-know-what?” I asked.
Dorian’s face lit up and he threw his head back in laughter. He looked so innocent in that moment. He had let his guard down for me and that made me feel so special.
“Not quite yet, dear. Let us enjoy our secret for a little while longer,” he smirked.
The limo pulled away from Dorian’s mansion and we made our way toward downtown. Dorian and I sat in silence but the closeness between us leapt us forward by miles. We were finally getting our chance together. And I couldn’t be happier.
The limo pulled up to the Fairmont hotel to a large red-carpeted area with hundreds of paparazzi. I swallowed back my nervousness and shifted in my seat as the limo came to a stop.
“Okay, Aria. Let them see you shine,” he said, as the limo door opened. I had never had someone instill so much confidence in me at such a vulnerable moment. The driver helped me out of the back as flashbulbs blinded me.
“Dorian was right by my side in an instant. The crowd seemed to escalate. His bodyguards came from out of the shadows and glued themselves to our side as we moved toward the entrance. I felt disoriented, like a deer in headlights. I raised my chin and let Dorian escort me forward. I thought we were about to make it inside when Dorian directed me to the left and in front of a platform. His arm came around me and the cameraman in a deep voice instructed us to smile.
We held our pose for what seemed like several minutes then my eyes fell on Canaan at the entrance. He was politely waiting for us with a smile on his face. He made it through the line already and was enjoying seeing us wade through this chaos. Dorian made the rounds and answered all types of questions from different entertainment shows.
