  “Grand Vizier?”

  “Yes, my dear?”

“How long must I keep doing this?” Anath asked guiltily.

Thoth reached out and patted the young woman’s hand in comfort.

“As long as it takes, my dear. As long as it takes”, was his answer to her.

  WATERS EDGE

  THE BLAKSTORME FAMILY ESTATE

  KHON

Khon and Admiral Mazeem, a giant of a man with very dark skin and kinky hair cut in the shape of a box sat on the balcony of the main house and watched the dying sun set in the sky.

“Did you speak with the other members of the Military Assembly, Admiral”, Khon asked him.

“I did Rajah Khon. The Assembly is ready to do your bidding”, the admiral gruffly replied.

Mazeem’s words sent a chill of excitement down Khon’s back.

At last! Tell me again that I forget myself, little sister. Khon thought to himself.

“Is my army ready for battle?” He asked the admiral.

“The army is as ready as it will be, Rajah. We will lead them to Sandstorme and your army will attack that realm’s capital and we will crumble it into dust. Just like your royal ancestors did three thousand years ago!”

Khon held out his hand to the admiral. “Swear to me your allegiance”.

Mazeem stood up from his chair and got down on one knee at Khon’s feet. He took the rajah’s hand and kissed it. “I swear on my life, Rajah Khon. That the Military Assembly will be at your full command”.

Khon straightened himself and inhaled a deep breath.

And now the new era begins. I will destroy all of my enemies and leave this planet to its doom.
