Sean straightened up. Around him, people were wishing Mark the best as they began to disperse.
‘The rest of you,’ Ransford added, ‘those cases ain’t solving themselves.’
Sean could now see the display boards on the end wall. The photos of Pamela Flood, Francesca Pinto, Julie Roe, Victoria Walker and Heather Knight had long been taken down. New faces had taken their place. The usual family snaps or images sourced from social media. Mouths smiling, eyes happy, expressions optimistic.
