The Moreau Estates Page 5

“Well, whose house is it?” I snapped, equally agitated.

“It’s my house, Matthew. This house has been in my family for nearly one hundred years. My maiden name is Moreau.” The words fell from her lips like bombs.

  Moreau?

“Wait, wait…what?” I ran my fingers through my hair and stood up to shake the nervous energy from my limbs. “Moreau, as in The Moreau Estates? As in this entire neighborhood belongs to your family?” She looked at me and nodded her head slowly.

“Yes. My family owns the Moreau Development Group. All the luxury neighborhoods in the state belong to us. Raymond couldn’t afford this house on his salary if he cloned himself five times.”

Laughter slipped out of my mouth. It was uncontrollable. Ray Palmer was the most materialistic prick I’d ever met. He touted money like he was born into wealth. Hearing that none of his fortune was his own was hilarious.

  “Holy shit. He’s a fraud,” I mused.

“We’re married so what’s mine is his,” Eve told me. “He just didn’t work for it and he damn sure wasn’t born into it.”

“While that’s a very amusing piece of information, I still fail to understand how it helps our situation. This is still the house you share with your husband, Eve. You care about me while you’re married.”

“Don’t you feel the same way though? You wouldn’t keep this thing up if you didn’t.” She stepped closer to me and smoothed her palms over my chest. I weighed her words in my head over and over and rubbed my forehead.

“I need time to think.” My head was a mess of confusion and I didn’t like being confused. I could only figure things out if I took a step back from her.

“Time?” She quizzed. “Are you coming to see me tomorrow?”

“Probably not. That’s what I mean. I need time away from you. I can’t figure out how I feel if I’m right up under you. It doesn’t work like that.”

“I need to see you tomorrow, Matthew.” We’d seen each other every day for weeks. Her pussy was committed to my memory. It was a very good memory too. Things were moving too fast though.

“Well, that’s not going to happen. I need time. I know you’re used to getting your way but things don’t work like that with me.” I paused before speaking again because I heard the front doors open.

Where the fuck was Michael the butler to warn us?

Eve froze and tilted her head a bit to hear better. “Shit, it’s Raymond.” The second after she realized it, he called out to her and I cursed under my breath. I was so tired of this shit happening. The luster of the thrill was starting to dull.

“I’ll be right back,” she whispered. Before she left the room, I gripped her arm in my hand.

“I’m not staying here, Eve. I can’t keep doing this shit.” Once the effects of her pussy started to wear off, I started thinking clearly. We were both wrong as hell for what we were doing.

“Just give me ten minutes,” she begged. I let my shoulders sag and I nodded before she scurried off. Why the hell was I still doing the same stupid shit? While I waited for her to come back, I shot Rome a text asking if he was free to meet up at the bar with me later. I needed to talk to someone who had a level head.

To my surprise, Eve was back within ten minutes. She took my hand and put a finger to her lips. I nodded and followed her. I didn’t know why. I should have left but like I said, she was hypnotic and I was stupid.

She took me down a hall I’d never seen before then out a set of doors that led to the side entrance of her home. Once we were out of the house, she looked at me and sighed, her breath turning to vapor the moment it hit the cold November air.

“I told Raymond I was going somewhere. I want to show you something though.” A twinkle danced in her eyes as she stared at me.

“Where the hell are we going, Eve?”

“Just follow me,” she squeezed my hand and I sighed heavily as we started to walk. “I know these grounds like the back of my hand.” We walked through a thicket of tall fir trees until we emerged on the other side. The entire neighborhood came into view. Mansions spread out before my eyes. All of them scattered and separated by private roads and huge trees.

“This is Andrew Hill,” Eve said sucking in a cold breath. “It was named after my grandfather. He used to always sit on this hill and stare out at the lake. You can see the entire neighborhood from here. It’s beautiful, right?” She turned to look at me. Strands of dark hair swept across her face and the tip of her nose was bright pink from her lack of a coat. As beautiful as she looked right then, the moment lacked depth.

“It’s amazing,” I said in agreement.

“Come on. This wasn’t exactly what I wanted to show you.” She led me down the sloping hill and through another thicket of tall trees. It felt like we were on a damn hike. On the other side of the second thicket was a backyard that led to a smaller mansion within the Moreau Estates. Eve produced a set of keys, seemingly from nowhere and opened the back door with ease.

The inside of the house was dark. My eyes needed a moment to adjust to the pitch-blackness of it. It smelled like lemons and bleach. It had been cleaned recently.

Eve left my side and flicked the lights on. We were standing in a mud room. The walls were stark white. Not one piece of art hung anywhere that I could see.

“Come on, this way.” I followed her and looked around at the empty home as we made our way to the kitchen. She hopped on the counter and crossed her legs.

“Eve, where are we?” I asked, finally.

“It’s a house that my father rents to own. It’s vacant until someone wants to rent it. Look, I know you’re tired of sneaking around my house. I wanted to show you that I heard you, Matthew. I want us to keep this going. I can’t imagine not having you to…”

“Fuck?” I chuckled, lifting my eyebrow. It wasn’t like we spent hours having deep conversations. We had sex. We had lots of hot, forbidden sex, and it was wonderful. I wasn’t invaluable in Eve’s life though.

“Well, yes but I like being around you. You make me happy,” she gave a short shrug and hopped down from the counter. “We can meet here.” She dropped the keys in my palm and I looked down at the shiny silver in my hand.

“This is less risky, Eve. I still need time to think about everything we’re doing,” I told her. I watched her face fall, but she tried to pick it up without me noticing.

“Okay…well, when will I hear from you?”

“I’m not sure. Don’t wait for me though.” She shut her eyes at my words and blew out a steady breath.

“Matthew, it sounds a lot like you’re breaking things off with me.”

“It sounds a lot like you don’t want to give me some space to figure shit out.”

“It’s not that,” she shot back with a pout. “I don’t want this to be your way of pushing me away.”

  “Eve, I’ll call you, okay?”

“You promise?” She tugged on my shirt, pulling me close.

“I said I would. Have I lied to you yet?”

“No…” she lowered to her knees and I cursed under my breath. I should have known I wasn’t getting away from the Moreau Estates that fucking easy. Could I really complain about a beautiful woman on her knees sucking my dick though?

I fucked her mouth hard and fast, not letting up until I came and since I’d already got my first one out the way, Eve spent a long time on her knees. After she swallowed every drop of cum I had left, she stood on wobbly legs.

  “Matthew, call me,” she demanded.

“I will,” I said before moving to the back door of the vacant house.

“Wait, I want to walk you back,” she scrambled after me and I rolled my eyes before she grabbed my hand. I liked Eve a lot and she drove me insane when we fucked but I didn’t know how tangible things were outside of her pussy.

I thought I was going to meet Roman at our usual hang out spot, but he opted for beers at his house instead. I didn’t mind. I needed a change of scenery.

“I don’t know about this shit with Eve, man.” I took a long drink of my beer and sighed.

“What?” Rome smirked. “I thought yall had all this fucking passion. What happened, Matt?” He could barely contain his laughter. I flipped him off.

“The sex is amazing and she’s gorgeous. Shit starts to fall flat after that. Now, she’s clingy as hell and she’s talking about feelings. I don’t know how the fuck I feel,” I muttered.

Rome cringed and shook his head at my words. “Yeah, you might need to back off, Matt. Have you been giving her relationship dick? You can’t do that with a married woman,” he told me.

“I can’t help it. She’s gorgeous, man. You saw her.” Even he had to nod in agreement. Getting caught up in her looks was easy but I was starting to feel like it was a trap.

“Stop fucking her altogether then,” Rome reasoned with a shrug.

“Stop…what?” I tilted my head to the side because I couldn’t have heard him right. “Stop fucking Geneviève Palmer? She’s hot as fuck, Rome.”

“You’re also trying to figure out if you’re feeling her or not. You already know you like fucking her. Take sex out of the equation and see if things stay afloat.”

“I’m not going to stop fucking her.” I shook my head profusely.

“Well, you have your answer, man.”

“Is it really that easy?” I finished my beer and got up to toss the bottle in the recycling bin. My phone rang in my pocket and I answered it once I saw Eve’s name.

“Why are you calling me?” I asked, lowering my voice and stepping into the kitchen for privacy.

“I missed you. I wanted you to know that whenever you need to get away or you want to see me…the vacant house is yours.”

“Eve, we talked about that already. I got it. Thank you.” I pinched the bridge of my nose and leaned against the wall.

“We didn’t get to fuck before you left, Matthew,” she purred. My dick reacted but my brain was tired.

“After some time apart, hopefully I’ll be ready to fuck you until you can’t move.”

“What if I want you to fuck me until I can’t move…right now?” She countered.

“I gotta go, Eve.” I ended the call and I could imagine her on the other end, frowning, fighting back tears.

“Yo, Rome, I’m gonna head home man. I’ll see you tomorrow. You’re coming back to work, right?” I asked him. He had a sub in his class and it threw things way off.

  “Yeah, I’ll be back tomorrow.”

  “Cool, thanks for the ear.”

  “No problem, Matt.”

I went home and tossed the keys to my newly acquired vacant mansion on the counter then went the fuck to sleep. I was tired of thinking for the day.

  **

Early in the morning, before homeroom began, I made sure to put my phone on silent and block Eve’s number. I knew she wouldn’t listen when I asked for space so I was going to have to take my damn space.

Krissy was the first student to class. She was actually early. I watched her walk in and noticed her usual smile wasn’t there. I stood beside her until she acknowledged me. “Hey Wilmore,” her voice dragged. I missed chipper, smart-ass Krissy.

“So, I thought I told you when we’re alone, you can call me Matt.” One morning when Krissy, Zuri, Roman and I were gathered in the Monarch Room, I gave her carte blanche to call me by my first name. Her mind must have been elsewhere because she totally forgot.

“Yeah, you did. I’m sorry, Matt.”

“Wanna tell me what’s wrong? I don’t like seeing you like this. You’re normally my little ray of sunshine.” I touched her golden spiral curls and marveled at how soft they were between the pads of my fingers. I had to force my hand away before I ended up knuckle deep in her honey hair.

“Me?” She smiled a little and I smiled too. I liked when she smiled. I realized I wanted to keep a smile on her face.

“Yeah. So, what’s up? Why do you look so fucking sad?”

“Guy problems,” she huffed. My skin prickled and my ears grew warm.

  “Like…a boyfriend?” I asked.

  “No. Not like a boyfriend.”

I sat on the corner of her desk and she stood between my legs. She was close enough for me to smell the lavender scent clinging to her skin. My Adam’s apple bobbed in my throat a bit as I looked into her pale brown eyes. It was like the sun shone right through them.

“Remember when I told you that I didn’t do boyfriends? I just scratched the itch when it needed to be scratched?”

“Yeah, I do…” I nodded. Mindlessly, Krissy fingered my collar while I watched her lips move. They were so fucking full.

“I found a guy to scratch my itch. Things are…weird though.” She nibbled on the corner of her bottom lip and I had to avert my stare. I knew better than looking at her like that. She was seventeen.

  She was my student.

Even though we were friends, she was still a student in my class. I couldn’t stare at her lips no matter how soft they looked. And they looked so fucking soft.

“Weird how?” I asked. I felt myself bristle but I hoped Krissy didn’t notice it. I liked her as a friend. She got cooler every time we talked and that’s all we seemed to do was talk. Even when she wasn’t in my class after school, we talked and I liked those moments.

The moment I saw her looking sad, I realized Krissy made me want to protect her. I’d gladly punch someone in the face for her. That’s what good friends did.

“Well, he doesn’t…” she paused and looked into my eyes, her fingers still toyed with the pointed tip of my collar. They danced dangerously close to my neck.

“He doesn’t…what?” My face fell into a frown.

“He doesn’t…oh god, I can’t say this in front of you, Matt.” Her cheeks blazed red and it made me laugh.

“Okay, if you don’t feel comfortable, that’s cool. I get it. I’m still your teacher,” I shrugged.

“It’s not that. Fuck being my teacher. You’re hot. I can’t say something like this to you,” she let her eyes linger on me, then she shook her head like she was trying to rattle a few thoughts loose.

She placed her palms flat on my chest and took a step back. Without thinking, I put my hands on her full hips and pulled her back to where she was. “Thank you, by the way,” I smirked. “Now, tell me what’s going on. Maybe I can help.”

After she stared at me for a few beats, she sighed. “Maybe I do need a guy’s perspective. Plus, I can’t tell Riri right now. She’s going through a lot on her own.”

“She is. So I’m gonna be your stand-in best friend. Tell me everything.”

“Okay, but I can’t look at you while I say it,” she laughed and turned around. Why the fuck did she have to turn around? Before I knew what was happening, I was holding Krissy from behind while her ass inched closer and closer to my lap.

I took a look around before pulling her completely against me. God, her ass was thick as hell. I couldn’t help myself. I wasn’t going to do anything with her but I’d be a liar if I said it didn’t feel nice with her sitting there.

“Okay so, this guy I’m fucking…” She inhaled and steadied her nerves. “He’s older and in my opinion, he’s supposed to know how to handle women but he doesn’t make me…cum.”

My hands turned to fire resting on her hips and I had to stare at every constellation painted on my walls and ceiling to avoid my dick getting hard. What the hell was wrong with me?

“So he cums and you…don’t?” My gaze fell to the deep arch in her back and the swell of her round ass. That motherfucker was stupid, whoever he was. Any guy lucky enough to be with Krissy should have been handling her properly.

How did I say that to her?

I didn’t want her to get the wrong idea. She turned to face me and I touched her hair. “I have two theories,” I began. “One is, he’s a selfish asshole who doesn’t know how to please anyone but himself. Two is, unfortunately, he’s just in it for the sex, Krissy.

“You think so?” Her throat dipped when she swallowed.

“It’s one of those two things or maybe a little of both. All I know is if he’s not making you cum…he’s insanely dumb.” My throat grew tight while I looked at her. I wished she wasn’t so damn pretty.

I was such a sucker for a beautiful girl with a pair of amazing lips. Both pair. Krissy was more than beautiful though, she was smart and she had depth. I could talk to her for hours on end and never get bored.

I wished I could say the same for Eve.

  **

  KRISSY

Standing that close to Matt was driving me insane. Thoughts crowded my mind all at once but they all ended the same way, with Matt bending me over the desk he was sitting on, and fucking me until I came.

“Maybe it’s just me,” I reasoned, looking at Matt’s green eyes. “Maybe I don’t cum because my mind is somewhere else.” The anxiety of talking to him about my failed orgasms wore off quickly. He made it easy to tell him about my private life.

Matt made it easy to talk period.

“It’s not you, Krissy. Women are tough to figure out but once you figure them out, you know how to handle them. Every woman is different but that’s the fun of…” He looked at me and chuckled a little. “It’s cool if I’m completely candid with you, right?”

“Um yeah. We’re talking about orgasms. I think you know you can be candid with me.” I laughed, hiding my full lips. He moved my hand and his emerald eyes turned stormy. I swore I heard a growl rumble through his chest. It made the lowest parts of me pulse.

“Stop hiding your lips, Krissy,” he demanded.

“You noticed that?” My eyes went wide and I turned my head.

“Yes. Stop it. There’s nothing wrong with your lips.” The way his eyes peeled away my layers and peered into parts of me I thought I kept hidden, made my skin tingle.

“Okay,” I squeaked. “What were you going to say?”

“Oh, yeah…” He cleared his throat and put his hands back on my hips so I couldn’t move away from him. His presence was giving me vertigo. It felt like we were climbing to the highest peak and I didn’t want to look down.
